They didn't specify...they just addressed current sales staff and why there was turnover.
So they can use it to leverage the Create a Code....I find it far fetched a shareholder asked what happened to the 'create a code' and all of a sudden on the day of the call a new one became available.
Sales Info.
5 direct sales managers
19 resellers
turnover b/c they didn't meet quotas
Marriott does sales and manages key accts
Did say lawsuit was dismissed in Oct...can't recall reason why
I personally haven't messed with it, but I would hope it restricts the number of scans, or significantly limits the analyitical reporting...thus forcing them to upgrade for full capabilities.
It's a good way to show people the benefit of managed direct...should have been implemented back when they began throwing "managed direct" aroundt the marketplace.
NeoMedia launches NeoSphere Lite
Newly launched service allows the creation and management of self-generated, managed QR codes
Boulder, January 24, 2012 – NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: NEOM.OB), the pioneer in global mobile barcode management solutions, today announced the launch of NeoSphereTM Lite, a mobile barcode tool that enables the creation of Quick Response (QR) codes. NeoSphere Lite allows consumers the ability to generate QR codes which provide the capability to change the resolution address/content source ‘on the fly’.
QR codes bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds by enabling any consumer with a camera phone to scan a code, which may link them directly to the mobile web, video, personal mobile pages, social media, and much more.
NeoSphere Lite provides users with the tools to test NeoSphere’s code creation and reporting capabilities. The tool provides consumers the opportunity to quickly and easily create up to five free QR codes and track the progress of their codes in real-time. NeoSphere Lite also supports NFC tags.
At any time, a consumer may upgrade their NeoSphere Lite account to the full-serve NeoSphere platform, allowing them to take advantage of the full breadth of NeoSphere’s rich reporting and analytics capabilities and experiencing all that mobile barcodes have to offer.

i sent them and got a response from Laura saying, "great questions, thanks for your support".
Then I scanned my middle finger and sent it back.
Neom changed their website around a bit today.
Exec Team layout is different.
Can now create a code from the top tool bar.

Let's see what gets answered today.
Questions for upcoming Conference Call.
1. What is the current IP strategy?
2. Are the patents still for sale?
3. What revenue is classified as "Barcode Reader" versus "Barcode Management & Infrastructure?"
4. Do you anticipate more outside directors will be added to the board?
5. What are the plans for generating organic growth in campaign management sales?
6. What are the first positions to be filled in the new hiring plan?
7. With a quickly approaching default date this June, what are the plans to address this key investor concern?
8. Does NeoMedia have a new break-even date?
9. Are their plans to integrate 1D functionality into NeoReader?
10. Describe the current relationship with Neustar.
11. Please describe the current sales force. (ie., internal reps, outsourced reps, Global IP, or other accomplishments or areas of focus). Has there been an acting sales director since Bruce Braun and David Miller have departed?
12. Please provide 2012 predictions specifically for Neomedia, rather than the market as a whole. Where does Neomedia see itself going this year?
13. What is the share count as of date of conference call?
14. NeoMedia Technologies saw a 240 percent rise in mobile barcode scans via its scanning software application NeoReader® on Black Friday 2011 compared to last year, including 13 percent growth in 2D scans over 1D.
Was there an increase over the Christmas Holiday period? How much?
15. As we saw with the recent National Crime Prevention Council deal, NeoMedia's continuing 2010-2011 strategy of providing free campaigns. Is this an on-going sales strategy for NeoMedia? At what rate are these deals flipping into revenue-based campaigns?
16. In 2011, we observed a revenue emphasis morph from IP licensing to campaign management and then back to IP licensing. What have you learned and where are headed in 2012-2013?
17. Laura, on May 30, 2011, Bena Roberts asked you the following question: “There was a mention of an eBay deal but there has been little else on NeoMedia championing barcodes within operators, brands and agencies. Why?”
You replied: “I would love to be announcing all of the deals that we have in place but, for the most part, our brand clients are not willing to press release their campaigns or our deals with them at this time. …NeoMedia will publish case studies, customers or sales wins at times where it is beneficial for both our customer and our business and helps to drive our operations. I expect you will be seeing more news from us in 2011.”
Will we see many announcements of deals in 2012?
18. NEOM has been completely reliant upon YA for funding- this has decimated shareholder value while propping up the company. What plans are there in place for reversing this trend- paying back YA while delivering on your promise to represent all shareholders?
19. Looking at past CEO's: Copus: brought in by YA when PPS was much higher, then bought up companies with NEOM stock and sealed the downward spiral of shareholder value... Hoffman: said that the company value based upon patents, etc. was easily 300million- no traction and left... McCready: stated that he was here because of his ability to find financing- obviously failed and left... now LM, making some 388k a year with a continued plan to educate on codes... based upon these less than successful past leaders, how is LM's approach an improvement and, even after years of 'educating', why has it not reaped financial benefits for the company and stockholders?
20. What is the current plan for monetizing patents and company reliance on those patents?
21. NDA's have been either speculated upon or outright stated by the company as to the reason for lack of news regarding partnerships, customers, etc. IF these are truly in place, even as unnamed collaborations, why is revenue from business continually a pittance of what this space is capable of supplying?
22. The company moved from Fort Meyers to Atlanta to improve its image, transportation options and visability.. it 'opened' offices in NYC for sales and to be close to the business center of the US. It has offices in Germany. Why haven't these moves panned out, and why is a move to Boulder an improvement? What do you hope to benefit from with such a move?
23. Gavitec. What is the rationale for funding this aspect of the business and what is it doing for NEOM now and in the future.
24. Has counsel determined if our patents cover managed-direct, as was indicated as pending legal counsel review during a prior conference call.
But Laura is Canadian and loves snow and cold weather. I think she's being selfish.
Kind of hard to think it's positive when it has never been positive in the history of Neomedia. Here's to hoping their New Years Resolution was to do good things.
They'll be using more heat in Boulder....so I think we need to scrape up more money to pay the gas bill.
So they wait a minimum 3 weeks to PR it? That doesn't make much sense, I'm certain they are trying to drive SP up before the call.
Wonder if Kodak is still a customer of ours.
Kodak files for bankruptcy, secures $950 million lifeline

After the PR today, I'm beginning to feel really bad news is coming on the call. When has this company ever issued this amount of PR and 'good news' in such a short time frame...specifically the month of a conference call.
Call me crazy, but I'm never putting trust into the management team to do what's best for the common shareholder.
btw, nice suttle jab.....'CON call'
I would think that's a good rate for them. It's an extremely high risk company with a history of year over year losses. The good rates are held for quality companies which can actually pay it back.
Just more debt, usual activity.
Welcome to Neomedia stock - it will always never fail.
If he already lives in Boulder, or has a vacation home there.....then yeah, a small, small chance
I think any and all announcments have been made already:
Moving to Boulder
New CFO
National Crime Prevention Partnership
Neom Europe CEO gone
YA can't afford to waste more announcements this early into the year. They have to span it out.
no prob, there is a new name on that list though...at the very bottom: GUIDO KAUHSEN | Director, Finance & Administration, NeoMedia Europe GmbH
Never seen that name before.
You have to sport new gear on the slopes...business write off????
Someone might want to tell Neomedia that then. He's been removed from the Executive Team listing:
http://www.neom.com/corporate/executive_team
LAURA MARRIOTT | Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairperson
JAMES DORAN | Chief Financial Officer
GEORGE O'LEARY | Chief Operating Officer
DR. FRANK MUELLER | Chief Technology Officer, NeoMedia Europe GmbH
THOMAS HINTERLEITHNER | VP, Sales & Business Development - Europe
STEVE KEARNS | Director, Technology
ANDREAS SUJATA | Director, Sales
GUIDO KAUHSEN | Director, Finance & Administration, NeoMedia Europe GmbH
Could be. They did change the legal structure of it to NeoMedia Europe GmbH
The acronym 'GmbH', which is written after the name of the company, designates a company as private in Germany. The letters stand for Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung which, translated literally, means a 'company with limited liability'. GmbH companies are incorporated and, as such, are legal entities unto themselves. These companies must have a minimum of two partners and may be, but do not have to be, owned by a public company.

Only thing you can conclude is he was fired. I could speculate as to why but it wouldn't mean anything...he's gone now.
Effective January 11, 2012, Dr. Christian Steinborn was removed from his position as Managing Director of NeoMedia Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of NeoMedia Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

Well said Pop, it is extremely frustrating that they can't answer many of our questions...but people need to think about their own jobs - how much info. can you actually release regarding clients, or initiatives, or anything else 'in the works'?
Many things we want answers to simply cannot be shared.
Can do, I'll wait and see if anyone else wants to add...then hopefully everyone else will send the same q's.
Questions for upcoming Conference Call. Would advise to submit by Monday to give them adequate time to determine answers, if we're so lucky they choose to answer these of course.
Please copy and paste as you add - keep in mind anything involving clients will likely be sheltered by 'confidentiality agreements', and dilution or any YA topic will be answered by 'Neom does not control daily share price or YA's choice to sell', and ongoing legal matters will be answered by 'Neom does not comment on open litigation matters'.

They'll get cheaper as the week goes
I can't imagine they are using indirect...that's pretty much been proven a flop.
Is anyone really surprised there's a sell off today? History always repeats itself.
Pop, you know anything about this?
Universal Business Listing to Add 2D Barcodes to Business Profiles, Enhancing Customer Engagement
That's the million dollar, errr, free-of-charge question of the day
SO as of this moment we can probably assume 9 million more shares have been added to float?
I think alot of people are over analyzing this news today...anyone ever thought that this is being done so Neomedia, who just happens to be moving corporate locations to Colorado, can make themselves look good as well as introduce what exactly Neomedia can do prior to the 'arrival'?
Local papers in Boulder are going to be talking about this alot, they have already been publishing NEOM's move to Boulder....google search it and see all the local papers.
if she did it would be 300% gain right now
what's funny is that it will finish either even or red.
For one, it still cost money to maintain the campaigns...and if we donate them then we are losing money. I sure hope there is some sort of advantage to donating this...but would not be surprised if it's just to PR their name in hopes someone will look into Neom for services.
