"They could pay off the commons, I would say about $1.50-2.00 per share, based on the market price pre-siezure."
This is the type of speculation I was waiting to see now that the 19th is here and the stock is still down.
Notice how the pps still didn't go up yesterday (Thursday the 18th) even though the next day (today) is the deadline for the A/L. This further proves that we're going nowhere fast.
I'm excited to see what additional BS you guys can come up with next once the 19th comes and goes as you witness little to no upward movement here.
“It’s a number of different types of taxes,” said Mosner. “The numbers will be significant.”
The state joins a list of creditors that will likely total in the hundreds when claims are tallied and made public.
As a result, Mosner is not expecting the state to be paid its owed taxes.
“I think I belong to the school of diminished expectations,” he said.
...And yet you people still think there's a party interested in acquiring what's left of WMI.
The way it's trading today I doubt it even closes above 3 cents.
If I had bought $1,000 worth of this crap everytime one of you posted on here "buy up people because NOW it's definitely going to explode" ... I'd be down at least 50k right now.
Market shot up after rate cut, but of course WAMUQ is left behind.
So what do you geniuses on here who keep trying to convince everyone that WAMUQ follows the rest of the financials and broader market have to say now?
I'm not too sure about this but I THINK I see a trend here:
Financials up/WAMUQ down
Financials down/WAMUQ down
Anyone want to bet Friday's A/L will be delayed
Keep averaging down guys. You'll be able to buy shares for under a cent soon.
I read the same comments on here when this fell to 10 cents...then 8 cents...then 5 cents...I think I see a trend.
Just fell below 3 cents. Ouch
Was this halted?? What's going on here? It's not moving on my screen...
Buying in the middle of a downtrend is not smart. It's been heading south since Monday. Wait and see if it can bounce off the support at 3 cents. This is getting uglier and uglier each week. -Just my two cents.
Here is the filing you are referring to. http://biz.yahoo.com/e/081210/dimeq.pk8-k.html
6 trading days left till what? More court delays. In the meantime selling continues to dominate buyers here. You guys fail to realize the extent to which the 4.4 bil is already priced in.
Of course there's going to be another delay. That's your lovely judicial system at work. Nothing is going to be settled this year. But you guys will obviously view this with optimism and make more bs posts like "it's because 'a merger/deal' with JPM/major bank is being discussed behind the scenes." Riiight.
STRONG BUY...LOL. Funny how shortly after you posted that, WAMUQ tanked from 5 cents to 4.6 cents, and doesn't seem to be recovering.
Exactly climber. If big money saw any value in the possible positive outcome for WMI to get the 4.4 this week, the shares wouldn't be trading this low. There would have been enough demand to at least get this closer to 10 cents again. It's more than just just MM manipulation holding this down.
If JPM made a stock swap or acquired WMI just for the sake of the 4.4, they would have to spend over 1 bil to buy out common, and that's assuming they only paid 50 cents a share.
OOPS wrong board lol
You guys are morons if you think JPM or anyone else is going to buy out the rest of WMI now, especially with the financial sector falling apart all over again. There's no incentive for them to buy the rest of WMI either. Please put an end to the stupidity and make some intelligent, REALISTIC posts. Even if WMI gets the 4.4 bil, their remaining debt and liabilities are still disgustingly high.
You guys remind me of the longs who were convinced for months that WM would survive and be bought out, even days before it was seized. Even though all indicators were pointing to its inevitable doom, they persisted with their unrealistic optimism and lost hundreds of thousands. And the samething is happening here now. This pink continues to sell off and go lower and lower, and yet many of you are still convinced this is going to turn around. Keep telling yourselves it's simply market manipulation.
Going back to 2 cents. This is pathetic. Can't believe I dumped 1k into this garbage.
Who cares about that now? JPM owns it
Still no movement in this stock. I really don't know what kind of rational you guys have to think that WAMUQ will jump from 6 cents to suddenly over 20 cents just because it gets the NOL and 4.4. It couldn't even break 7 cents the day before the hearing (which was delayed yet again) which means that speculation of possible positive outcome wasn't enough to drive this up. This pink has been stuck at this level for over two weeks now and the demand just isn't here. I do wish I had put my money into WAMPQ though last week. At this point I just want my $1,000 back so I can forget about this. It's been just as disappointing at WM was, and eerily similar (remember when WM jumped from 3 cents to 6 in a few days back in July and then was stuck at that level till its demise?). There's going to be resistance just getting back to 10 cents, let alone jumping over 20 imo.
Again, even when it was discovered that WaMu could possibly use the 20 bil NOL, the price of this pink still didn't go up. You would think that if big money saw some value left here, KNOWING that these two factors will possibly have beneficial outcomes for WaMu, there would be much more buying volume picking this up below 10 cents. But it's not happening. IMO it's more than just shorting that is keeping WAMUQ where it is now, because the shorting would succumb to the buying if there were enough demand out there.
Still not going up and the 14th is only 4 days away. If big money was expecting anything noteworthy to transpire if/when WaMu acquires the 4.4 on Friday, you would think that there would be more buying and volume would start shooting up again. But that's not the case here at all. Honestly I think the 4.4 is already priced in at this point, and you guys are beating a deadhorse with your optimism. I bought 1k worth at 10 cents last month and am not trying to bash or anything...of course I hope this goes back up (so I can at least get my money back), but the way this is trading with just 4 days to go, I just don't see it happening. Volume is getting lower and lower each day, and you guys are assuming that when they are given access to the money, everything will instantly turn around. Ever since this fell below 10 cents, I have had serious doubts that this will ever get back up there again. I hope you guys can see something I don't, because right now I would not be surprised if this fails to even break 10 cents on Friday even with the court ruling in WaMu's favor.
