Thank you, I'll check into these. I appreciate everything you have shared with this board.
ask just jumped to .289
Scott, where do I find a list of these bonds to review/purchase? Thank you.
You didn't sell at .40? WOW, what a missed opportunity. I wouldn't be bragging about it.
I bought pre-seizure and bought more after seizure. I then sold all at one point and bought all back plus more. I have then flipped a portion a few times and now am holding long a fairly large amount of shares while playing with a little cash. Just how could anyone possibly determine how many shares I would be compensated for on my pre-seizure position? There are millions of us out there and it would take years and millions to figure it out and then there would be tons of suits to follow. A-SHARE-IS-A-SHARE is a good mantra.
" But let them continue in their delusions."
WOW! Talk about delusion. Who is this person and where has he done his DD on WAMUQ? Why would he post such nonsense?
Do you think there will be a settlement before the forced Share sell? Wouldn't it make more sense for the settlement to occur after? I thought that's why JPM was forcing the employees to sell, so it would clear the way for a settlement.
I was thinking .278, but I like you number better.
.2217778
What's stopping the employees from selling their portfolio stock and them re-buying 5 minutes later in their personal account? I don't think JPM would be stupid enough to buy even 1 share of wamuq stock after forcing 38,000 employees to sell all of their stock. The lawsuit would be outrageous.
Every WAMUQ shareholder should be emailing the likes of Glenn Beck.
Because at that time wamu was trading at about $12 pps and there would have been a shareholder revolt. That was right before the 'run' on the bank of about 16B. The offer was removed from the table. Had they offered $8 after the run when the PPS were $2 the shareholders would have jumped on it.
$2.53
ONLY 24300 have traded so far today.
I have one in for 37000 and it has not filled.
More opptimistic? I said $2.59 at todays rate. You said more opptimistic at $2-3 a share. I'm missing somrthing.
Really, I didn't know that! I thought WAMU was trading for around $10 a share prior to JPM offer and about $2 a share pre-seisure. You say 10x's Stearns value of $20. That would make WAMU worth $200 a share. Far out man pass the bong.
Here a link to a story back in 2008 that descibes the offer as being a purchase of stock with stock.

That is crrect.
I hope that I am wrong and we get closer to what WMB was worth, but I know how offers and settlements work and rarely do the suing party get full value. Normally the settlement is a fraction of the real value.
The consences seems to be that it would be in the form of a stock swap since that was what JPM offered to do back in 2008 when Dimon offed WMI $8 a share in a stock swap deal. The going opinions ranges from 1-1 to 1-30 for swapped stocks. I personally belive it will be in the area of 1-15.
I DON'T KNOW, BUT IF I WORKED FOR THEM I WOULD SELL MY SHARES AND HAVE MY WIFE OR UNCLE BUCK OR MY DOG 'WAMU-POO' BUY THEM BACK INSTANTLY. THERE'S NO WAY I WOULD LET THOSE THEIVING RAT DROPPING STEAL MY SHARES.
You are correct. I've actually lost 40 pounds recently, thank you. Does your crystal ball have a differant prognostication?
That last quote made him an instant celebrity.
I agree. I have always thought that a stock swap would be the outcome here and that it would be in the 1/15 range. That would pay us about $2.50 for our current posit1on. It's just my jut, but I'm sticking to it.
Let's get Viva out of Jail!
We are all going to wake up here one morning in the next month and see the stock(wamuq) at $2.53+..
I'll take a 6 month option on that if you're willing!
She's getting paid by the hour.
Can someone clarify just what it is that is expected to happen on Friday. I read through the court docs and it's Omnibus this, Omnibus that. In a nutshell what are we doing?
Welcome back you 'Jailbird'! You're the best!
.169 x 1.3975 = .23617 USD
Frankfurt showing .26 US dollars.
Take a look at our post count. We have certainly got some excitement here.

UPDATE 1-WaMu shareholders get their voice in bankruptcy
Thu, Jan 28 18:05 PM EST
* Shareholders to get unified role in bankruptcy
* Culminates year-long campaign by shareholders (Adds details throughout)
By Tom Hals
WILMINGTON, Del, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Shareholders of Washington Mutual Inc (WAMUQ.PK) will have an voice in the company's bankruptcy after a judge refused on Thursday to disband their committee, which Washington Mutual said would complicate the case.
The U.S. Trustee, which plays an oversight role in bankruptcy, appointed the committee earlier in January after being petitioned by 3,500 shareholders. The company immediately asked the court to disband it.
The committee will be able to speak with a unified voice and hire professionals, which would be paid by the company.
Washington Mutual has said since it filed for bankruptcy in 2008 that it is hopelessly insolvent, the legal benchmark for recognizing official committees of shareholders.
"Evidence that debt and equity are still trading at any number establishes that at least the market thinks the debt is not hopelessly insolvent," said Judge Mary Walrath.
She also denied a request to cap the committee's expenses at $250,000.
Much of the value of the company depends on the outcome of various legal disputes surrounding the government's seizure of the company's banking operations during the height of the financial crisis in 2008.
Brian Rosen of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, which represents Washington Mutual, said there was little need for an equity committee before settling outstanding lawsuits. "That's when the equity committee should come into being because that's when they will become unhappy as we settle at a number they may think is inappropriate."
Gregory Cross of Venable, which represents the equity committee, pointed out that the additional cost for the equity committee would be minimal for the company, which already pays for the work of 19 sets of professionals. "But one more is the straw that breaks the camels back?"
The hearing attracted an overflow crowd, drawing shareholders who have organized themselves over the past year through message boards and websites.
"There's no settlement or outcome that will have validity for the people in this courtroom or the 3,500 who wrote to the Trustee without a committee," said Cross.
