That doesn't mean what you think it does. Of course there will be more shares of DGAZ purchased since it is cheaper per share. 43.42/5.10= 8.5:1
8.5 shares of DGAZ = 1 share of UGAZ in dollars...
700,000*$5.10 = $3,570,000
150,000*$43.42 = $6,513,000
More $ worth of UGAZ has been purchased.
I can't believe I just had to explain that to someone who trades day in/day out...
3.155->2.94 Sweet!
1. Still builds
2. 5 year average includes last year's EXTRAORDINARILY high number so it is inflated
Veto overridden by both houses. It passed.
Anyone know the EIA numbers? Sorry, on mobile unable to look up. Thanks!
You realize that the difference isn't really as big as it seems since the pps is $5.2x/$43.xx That really is only about 2:1 DGAZ to UGAZ
For the record, solar and other renewable are not direct replacements for oil but rather coal/natural gas since oil is used very little for electricity generation.
As electric vehicles become more common place then we will see a decrease in oil use.
well this has gotten rather boring...
11 am Eastern
So what are everyone's bets on EIA?
Were yesterday's API numbers BS like usual?
Which is lower than the price at yesterday's AMEX close yet DWTI is red. What gives?
The Midwest is going to be well below average for the next 15 days.

Wow, look at the decay on this thing...
6/21/2016 - Natural Gas: $2.622/DGAZ:$8.87
8/9/2016 - Natural Gas: $2.601/DGAZ: $8.08
Or plunge to the depths of the ocean floor!
This is based on NG FUTURES. Weather today is irrelevant; one would be better off guessing the weather in August/September.
that should really say: WTI (West Texas Intermediate crude oil)
Here is a good free, real-time chart of the underlying WTI commodity.
U/DWTI correspond directly to WTI (west intermediate crude oil).
If WTI goes up UWTI goes up and DWTI goes down.
If WTI goes down DWTI goes up and UWTI goes down.
Both by 3X the % move in WTI.
Please not the demeanor of these boards; these are not OTC/Pink sheets boards with nonsense posts like "TO THE MOON" and WEEEEE.
Both Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice "handled classified material on unclassified email systems."
Where is the outrage about that?

Reverse split
Looks like it has been going up all month...
There is QUITE the naked candle on the WTI daily!
Even if "something" happens, it will probably still crash in a "sell the news" situation. The run up the past few days is just a "buy the rumor" run.
No complaints here. I am married to no particular oil direction D/UWTI has been great for the past year!
It's not "wild" that it is stuck in such a narrow range. Everyone is waiting to see what will happen in Doha this weekend. When nothing happens, it will crash beautifully.
Doesn’t matter if you don't sell and collect your profit!
I love contract rollover time when people think their commodity has miraculously risen several dollars over night based on all the real time charts we watch that have switched early! (I'm guilty of this too in the past)
Me too. In @ $153. We'll see which way it goes. I'm betting oil is recovering in the longer shot term but has to pull back a bit, back into the upward channel that formed.
Couldn't pass $38 resistance.
Wow, less than a dollar spread between WTI and Brent..
The drop in October is visible here: https://beta.dailyfx.com/charts?pair=NGAS
The chart is spot price (not futures) but in realtime.
Anyone know of a leveraged, long and/or short, USD etn/etf? The 2 I did find are closed.
Weird action this morning. Dollar up AND oil up...
WAKE UP!!!! (lol) Oil has recovered and now UN-PHASED by rising dollar. Quite bullish.
What an appropriate screen name!
Great, thank you!
The price difference between Nov and Dec is going to kill us here!
I forgot we're on Dec. futures now.
Do you know a site with a real time chart of December futures? I've been using this: http://www.dailyfx.com/natural-gas
How was this $4.04/$4.05 in pre market when Nat. Gas. is the highest it has been in 12hrs right now but UGAZ is only $3.97??
