Hate doesn't destroy the object of your hatred.
But it does do a number on your heart.
Fighting for intense love of country is more positive...
and I hope that mentality will be easier on my heart.
You do it your way.
I'll do it mine.
Enjoy your day.
It's hard to hit a moving target. Morning, Mr. G.
Thanks for the clarification.
I agree.
Leftist hate rules social media after Trump assassination attempt
By Post Editorial Board Published July 13, 2024, 9:12 p.m. ET
Not moments after someone tried to assassinate Donald Trump, the trending topic on X was, disgustingly, “they missed” and “how did they miss.”
Just how depraved do you have to be to sink that low?
There have been plenty of examples of division in our history, and no, you don’t need to go all the way back to the Civil War to find them — many Americans are still around who personally witnessed the political turmoil and political killings of the 1960s.
But today feels so uncivilized, so sad.
That someone would decide that they had to kill a former and perhaps future president is bad enough, but to have a hoard of online posters cheering them on?
The media likes to preach at us, saying we should have a “conversation” about radicalism. Will they talk about this?
There is hatred that has been carefully nourished, and it is out of control. It is not the story of one side, but only one side gets covered by the press.
“Look, there’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick. It’s sick,” President Biden said in a bloodless statement. “It’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this.”
“Cannot condone.” How about what are you going to do to stop it?
Denounce the violence, yes. But condemn the social media vultures as well, who are coarsening our nation and putting us into a spiral to God knows where.

Trump just proved that he’s a pure warrior after his heinous assassination attempt
By Michael Goodwin Published July 13, 2024, 11:07 p.m. ET
They called him an illegitimate president.
They said he was a threat to democracy and had to be stopped.
They unleashed a legion of agents to investigate him, searched his home and broke historic barriers by indicting him.
Then they rigged a trial in a bid to put him in prison.
They called him un-American and worse. Their lawyers and activists fought to keep him off the fall ballots in a dozen blue states as a way — get this — to defend democracy.
They are still trying to bankrupt him and confiscate his businesses.
And now they have shot him.
In that moment, Trump proved himself a pure warrior. Rising in front of the American flag with blood on his face and with a fist pump and declaration to “Fight,” he justified the enormous faith in his leadership millions of supporters have.
The moment probably also won him the election.
They did it on the eve of the opening of the Republican convention, where his comeback from the political wilderness would be made official as he accepted the party’s nomination for president for the third time.
The polls show him building a commanding lead in the swing states, including Pennsylvania. The chatter in both campaigns has been turning more and more to the size of his expected victory, not whether he will win.
‘Blood on their hands’
The incumbent, meanwhile, a shell of his former self, is reduced to shouting slurs at MAGA Republicans as if they are freaks from another planet. He no longer seems to recognize them as part of the American fabric, you know, the one he promised to unite when he took the oath.
That seems like decades ago. Now the shouter is such a worn-out flop that his own party wants him gone.
But as dusk settles in his mind and his body betrays him, he repeats endlessly that Trump is a bad man who must never again be allowed to occupy the White House.
The person who pulled the trigger is ultimately responsible for this heinous act, but make no mistake: Democrats identified the target.
Their nonstop, over-the-top rhetoric put the bulls-eye on Donald Trump.
They have his blood on their hands.
This, by the way, is their rule. For years, when there was an attempted or successful shooting of a Democrat, The New York Times and other leftist outlets instantly concluded that Republican rhetoric loaded the gun and pulled the trigger, no matter the facts.
So by the same standard, Democrats did this.
The blame is not limited to a few crazies on the far left. Hating Donald Trump is a mainstream disease and has been since he first entered the 2016 primary contest.
It’s everywhere, from early morning to late night, and comes from people who probably never before thought they would think and say such things.
But their conscience didn’t stop them, or at least most of them, from enjoying the right to hate him. Trump, you must know, is singularly evil and the rules of civil discourse and even fair play don’t apply to him.
So hate away, it’s your right. Nay, your duty.
In fact, the only sin in many quarters of supposed elite society is not hating Trump enough.
Leaders of the Democratic Party are especially guilty of routinely using the most inflammatory language when talking about him.
Nancy Pelosi called him Putin’s man in Washington. The facts proved otherwise, but not all facts are equal anymore. Feelings matter more.
“All of us want to defeat Trump, the most dangerous president in American history,” Sen. Bernie Sanders said in a fundraising email that arrived two hours before the assassination attempt on Trump’s life.
“The Threat Remains and Democracy Must Be Defended” screamed an email from Joe Biden at about the same time.
See, he’s a threat, he’s dangerous. He’s not a normal human being or normal opponent. He’s beneath contempt.
True, heated words and inflated language lead many people to open their checkbooks. It’s the sad norm of fundraising, especially online.
But the same words mean something entirely different to other people. If they hear them day in and day out, on television and in newspapers and on even acceptable social media, they begin to believe them.
Literally.
And one of those people loaded up and went to the Trump rally in Butler, Pa.
Thank God his shot was an inch or two off target.
World is watching
The really sad part is you don’t need me to tell you any of this. Just remember the first thought that came to your mind when you heard the news that Trump had been shot and saw the picture of the bleeding former president being lifted by beefy men in suits, blood on his ear, face and hands.
Once you knew he was shot at a rally, you knew everything you needed to know.
You knew they did it, they finally did it. Even before you learned anything about the shooter, who is now dead, you knew.
Even as the investigation begins into the shooter’s life and background, the larger questions are being asked.
Most important is this: Was that the first shot in the second civil war?
Let us pray the answer is no, and pledge that we will not turn to violence against our fellow Americans.
And remember this: The world is watching. And wondering.
They see that the people in the greatest, most powerful country in history cannot stop hating each other and destroying their nation. They wonder why.
And they fear for themselves because if America tears itself apart, what hope do they have?
The 1787 scene involving Benjamin Franklin outside the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia fits the moment.
Asked by a passer-by if the new constitution would create a monarchy or a republic, Franklin responded: “A republic, if you can keep it.”
Here we are, 237 years later, and Franklin’s warning rings anew. Can we keep it?

Both sides: Social media commenters from the left and right. That's what I meant.
Have a good day.
Rhetoric: There's a lot of blather about the demorrhoids' language driving the assassination attempt.
The media is just as bad, if not worse for constantly broadcasting and emphasizing the Ds terrorist talk.
Things will get toned down for a couple of days. After that, I bet they all go back to their evil ways.
God spared Trump for a reason.
This will energize him even more.
Here's to his safety and strength.
Morning, Bull. I don't know about you, but I didn't sleep much last night.
DEI and law enforcement: I'm tuned into FOX news. One of the men they interviewed pointed out that the female SS agent who was in front of the President wasn't tall enough to cover his head. My opinion: They need height requirements for that job. She is not qualified. I also feel the same way about firefighters. You need certain physical requirements that would eliminate a lot (most) women and some men. I'm sick of petite-ee-pie broads who think they're tough demanding "equal opportunity." Physically, they are not equal. That's just the way it goes.
Sad times. Let's hope this creates a landslide win for Trump.
He's certainly proving he has the strength to take on the world.
Have a good one.
We'll see. Waiting for the libs to start squawking about gun control.
I hope your heart is right. What a horrible day.
MAGA yes. Not sure about the undecideds.
Shooter is dead. Rally attendee killed -- FOX News.
Wonder if the Biden camp will use this as an excuse to go back to hidin' Biden.
Fat chance. I can guarantee you there are a lot of people cheering right now.
This country is severely divided.
Switched to NBC. Two witnesses are saying there were two people shot in the bleachers.
I am sick to my stomach. The more this sinks in, the more upset I get.
Very scary stuff. Oh, Lord.
TDS lives. Disgusting.
Yes, they do. And the left accuses the right of violence. Pfft.
I'm surprised no one behind him was hit.
You're right. They keep showing it. Looks like his ear.
Un-freaking-believable.
He looks PISSED OFF.
Taken away in an SUV not a limo.
Cripe. I'd make a lousy eye witness.
Just posted something similar.
Where's Biden?
I have FOX on. Sounds like he's (sort of) okay.He was bleeding from his temple. He walked away with the Secret Service, raised his fist to the crowd saying "Fight." (If I can read lips correctly.) They rushed him away in a limo.
McCarthy names dark-horse VP candidate to make Trump unbeatable: ‘The race is over’
By Rich Calder Published July 13, 2024, 4:03 p.m. ET
Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged Donald Trump to pick Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin as his vice president — in order to be unbeatable in November.
“Put Youngkin in play, and the race is over,” the California Republican said on “Real Time with Bill Maher” Friday.
The current frontrunners to join Trump on the Republican line are North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Senators Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, Marco Rubio of Florida and Tim Scott of South Carolina.
“Rubio would be excellent; Tim Scott would be excellent,” McCarthy said.
“If you really want to play the game, I want to win the election — pick Youngkin in Virginia.”
McCarthy continued: “If you look at polling right now you would say Trump has Arizona, Trump has Nevada, Trump has Georgia, so that gets him to 267 [electoral votes]. He has to win either Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania. He has to win one of those three.”
McCarthy – who last year becoming the first House speaker to be ousted by a floor vote driven by members of his own party — also said Youngkin is “popular” enough in Virginia to help Trump win the state.
Virginia hasn’t backed a Republican for president since 2004 when former President George W. Bush won the state.
Trump visited the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania for a rally near Pittsburgh Saturday – his final campaign stop before formally accepting his party’s presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention that starts Monday in Milwaukee.

Richard Simmons, legendary fitness guru, dead at 76 just one day after celebrating birthday
By Patrick Reilly Published July 13, 2024, 4:34 p.m. ET
Legendary fitness instructor Richard Simmons has died, according to a report.
Simmons, who turned 76 Friday, died just 24 hours after he thanked fans on social media for their birthday wishes.
The health guru, who stepped away from the public eye a decade ago, rose to fame in the 1970s and ’80s after opening several gyms across the country and releasing his iconic high energy fitness tapes.

His death was first reported by TMZ. Police told the outlet they believe it was a natural death.
Simmons revealed in March he had been diagnosed with skin cancer.
In a rare interview with People Magazine this week, he said he “feels good” despite his age.”I am grateful that I’m here, that I am alive for another day,” he said. “I’ll spend my birthday doing what I do every day, which is to help people.”
Simmons, who stepped away from the public eye a decade ago, rose to fame in the 1970s and ’80s.

The “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” star had announced earlier this year he was planning to open a Broadway musical with renowned producer and composer Patrick Leonard.
Simmons was beloved, and often parodied for his flamboyant, positive attitude that helped millions of Americans get in shape for decades.
He was the author of nine books, including the New York Times Best Seller, “Never Say Diet.”
Simmons was born in the French Quarter of New Orleans and was inspired to get healthy after weighing in at 268 pounds when he graduated high school, according to a biography on his website.
After taking control of his weight through healthy eating and exercise, he moved to Los Angeles in 1973 and would open his fitness studio, SLIMMONS, in Beverly Hills where he continued to teach classes until 2013.
His success as an instructor — and his bubbly personality — landed him appearances on local and then national television programs.
He launched his own nationally syndicated series, “The Richard Simmons Show,” which ran for four years and received numerous Emmy Awards.
Simmons’ 65 fitness videos sold more than 20 million copies. After Simmons announced his cancer diagnosis he pleaded with his followers on social media to “enjoy your life to the fullest every single day. Get up in the morning and look at the sky… count your blessings and enjoy.”
He concluded with some tips for living a healthy lifestyle, which included enjoying a desert “once in a while.””There is something else very important that you must do,” he added. “Tell the ones that you love that you love them. Hug those people and children who you really care for. A big hug really goes a long way.”

I really like Glenn Youngkin.
Someday I hope he'll run for president.
JMO, running with Trump could be political suicide.
You know the left and the media will be piling on as soon as he's elected.
I'd prefer Burgum but obviously it doesn't matter what I want.
I'll vote for Trump and his VP of choice.
She was gross. Hope she's enjoying her idea of heaven.

Exclusive — Sen. Joni Ernst: World ‘Laughing’ at Joe Biden Instead of ‘Trembling’ Before American Leadership
JOSHUA KLEIN 12 Jul 2024 3:01
The world is “on fire” due to President Joe Biden’s weakness, according to Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), who slammed the president’s foreign policy, accusing him of weakening America’s global standing and noting that “the globe is laughing at the leader of the free world when they should be trembling in fear,” as she called for a return to “American leadership” and a policy of peace through strength.
In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News on Friday, Ernst issued a sharp rebuke of the current president, describing him as weak and blaming the 81-year-old Democrat commander-in-chief for a world in “chaos.”
“The world is on fire because we have a weak-kneed and feeble-willed man in the White House,” she asserted, noting that “by abandoning our allies and emboldening our adversaries, President Biden has created chaos.”
Ernst, a combat veteran who serves as the Senate Republican Policy Committee chair, lamented that the current global sentiment toward America’s leadership is one of mockery rather than fear.
“The globe is laughing at the leader of the free world when they should be trembling in fear,” she insisted.
She concluded by arguing for the need to “bring back peace through strength and restore American leadership.”
The senator’s statement reflects a growing concern among lawmakers about America’s diminishing influence and the perceived lack of decisive action in international affairs.
In May, Ernst accused Biden of “playing politics” with the lives of Americans being held hostage by the Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas. She also slammed the president for “playing into Hamas’s hands” and “making terrorists rejoice instead of tremble in fear” by withholding support from Israel — the nation’s “greatest ally in the region.”
The matter comes as Congress members continue demanding Biden step down, with widespread panic leading to chatter among Democrats of replacing the octogenarian in a last-ditch effort to win the election following his lackluster debate performance against farmer President Donald Trump in Atlanta in June.
On Thursday, Biden mistakenly introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as Russian President Vladimir Putin at the U.S.-hosted NATO Summit, raising further concerns about the president’s health and political viability.
On Wednesday, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) claimed that “chaos” is the inevitable result of America’s adversaries witnessing a U.S. president whose “own party has declared mentally unfit.” He further argued that Biden’s weakness has “emboldened our enemies” and led to a series of international humiliations and increased threats, with the “wide-open” southern border serving as a “recipe for disaster for America.”

Exclusive — House Oversight Chair James Comer on Possible ‘Shadow Government’: We’re Looking into Who Is Really ‘Calling the Shots’ Under Biden
HANNAH KNUDSEN 13 Jul 2024 4:56
(We'll see how far this gets.)
House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) is investigating who is really “calling the shots” under President Joe Biden’s leadership, issuing subpoenas to three little-known White House staffers while trying to determine if there has been a “shadow government” this whole time.
“We’re looking to see who is actually calling the shots for Joe Biden,” Comer said during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday.
“I mean, I think it’s very evident that he isn’t able to serve as president, much less an additional four years, and we’ve all been asking the questions ‘Who is actually running the show? Who’s pulling the strings?'” he said, noting that Republicans have used their sources, including disgruntled Democrats, to identify three White House staffers, whom Comer described as the “gatekeepers for Joe Biden” who have “shielded him” from his cabinet secretaries as well as from the mainstream media.
“They shielded him from lots of people that probably could have sounded the alarm much earlier than, than a week ago that Joe Biden wasn’t mentally able to serve as president. So we’ve subpoenaed them. No one had ever heard of any of the three, including myself, prior to determining that these were the three to subpoena. We’re gonna bring them in and we’re gonna ask them questions and we’re gonna see if, in fact, there was a cover-up, number one, and number two, even worse, we’re gonna determine whether or not there’s been a shadow government,” Comer continued, as it has been apparent, he said, that “Biden has not been in charge for quite some time.”
“After three years of Joe Biden, Watergate doesn’t look much different than jaywalking,” Comer said, noting that both the media and Deep State have continually covered up the financial crimes that the Biden family “has been committing for over two decades.”
Comer emphasized his belief that there is a cover-up by White House staffers on Biden’s ability to lead, as they, he said, have likely worked with the White House doctor to “create a false narrative, not just cover up.”
Comer said he believes concerns about a shadow government are one reason some Democrats are beginning to step out and call on Biden to drop out of the race. He also said they are driven by their fears of former President Donald Trump having a legitimate chance to make it back into the Oval Office.
One way or another, Comer predicted, the truth will come out.
“The difference between that investigation that we’ve just begun and the Biden influence-peddling investigation is that there are a lot of willing participants. There’s already been a number of stories and a number of prominent Democrats that have come forward and described the fact that … they don’t think that Joe Biden could pass a cognitive test,” the congressman said.
“You think about the job responsibilities of the President of the United States and the decisions that the President has to make on a daily basis — who’s been making those decisions? I mean, the White House has admitted that he’s only functional from eight o’clock to four o’clock — which I think that’s a stretch — but you know, there are a lot of things that happen before eight o’clock in the morning and after four o’clock in the afternoon,” Comer said, describing this as an issue of national security.
“The reason Cabinet secretaries get confirmed by the Senate is so the American people can kind of know who they are and how they think and what their positions are and determine whether or not they’re capable. If we’ve got three or four low-level staffers that have been deciding what weapons to send Ukraine, how to do an executive order that limits drilling that leads to higher gas prices, which creates more inflation — if these three or four employees that no one’s ever heard of have been making those decisions, then I think that there are a lot of people that need to be held accountable,” Comer said, noting that the mainstream media has been complicit because personalities have “attacked any Republican that would suggest that Joe Biden wasn’t healthy, even as recently as when we were trying to get Robert Hur to release the audio tapes.”
Ultimately, the ship is turning because most congressmen, Comer explained, are only interested in self-preservation, and they now feel their future is in “peril” due to Biden’s weakness as a presidential candidate.
“I think they’re gonna start talking and if they get beat, I think they’re gonna talk even more. So we’ve gotten a lot of sources and this investigation about who’s been calling the shots and who’s been involved in the cover-up — it’s rapidly proceeding,” Comer said.
When asked what accountability would look like, Comer said, “The accountability side looks like sending people to jail if they’ve committed a serious offense.” At the least, he said, it would involve removing these bad actors from the government payroll.

Florida mom sparks 500-person riot at skating rink after daughter’s birthday party is canceled: ‘Tear this bitch up’
By Patrick Reilly Published July 12, 2024, 8:59 p.m. ET
(Just another no-class, low-class minority.)
Stephanie Pedroso is charged with inciting a riot.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office
A Florida mom has been charged with inciting a 500-person riot at a skating rink after calling on her daughter’s friends to “tear this bitch up” when her kid’s birthday party was canceled, according to police.
Stephanie Pedroso, 36, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sparking the chaos at Astro Skate in Brandon in May after the rink canceled her booking for an “after hours birthday party” for breach of contract, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Pedroso made the reservation on May 14 for the May 17 event for her daughter’s birthday, but failed to secure off-duty deputies for the party as agreed upon in the contract, leading to the cancellation.
Pedroso was issued a refund, cops said.
However, an outraged Pedroso posted an expletive-filled rant on her daughter’s social media account encouraging the girl’s friends to show up at the rink anyway.
“For y’all, if y’all still go up there, tear the f–k out of them. I’ve got some money for y’all, and I’ll pay y’all ass,” Pedroso said in the video, according to police.
“I hope everybody still show up and tear this bitch up tomorrow,” she added.
Pedroso was also heard calling on people to “make them crackers work” and “stress them the f—k out.”
Around 9:20 p.m. on May 18, deputies responded to calls of a “crowd of 500 people” that stormed the rink, leading to several fights.
Deputies ordered the crowd to leave because they were trespassing, but the mob continued fighting, damaging nearby businesses and stealing and disrupting operations, police said in May.
At a nearby barbershop, one victim was beaten and thrown through the store’s plate-glass window before being transported to an area hospital.
It took deputies nearly six hours to contain the riot that led to five local businesses being damaged.
Authorities arrested 23 minors and three adults at the scene.
“Using social media to encourage people to riot and destroy businesses is completely unacceptable, and we will not tolerate that here in Hillsborough County,” Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.
“This serves as a stark reminder of how quickly situations can spiral out of control and show the importance of responsible behavior and the consequences of inciting violence,” he added.
Pedroso was charged with one count each of inciting a riot, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and driving with a license suspended, canceled, or revoked, authorities announced.
She was released from detention Thursday after posting a bond of $2,500, jail records show.
It was not immediately clear when she was scheduled to appear in court.

Joe Biden looks tired and exhausted — here are the tricks his team is using to obscure his blunders
By Michael Kaplan Published July 13, 2024, 9:17 a.m. ET
Old age is clearly taking hold of President Biden and hobbling his run for the presidency, The Post has learned.
Even serious accommodations that have been made for the 81-year-old — such as note cards at fundraisers, cheat sheets to keep his thoughts straight and crowds from his inner circle who surround him to distract attention from a stiff gait — fail to hide the deterioration that comes with age.
It became all too clear on Thursday night when he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as his Russian adversary Vladimir Putin and Vice President Kamala Harris as his own opponent, Donald Trump.
Some of those who observe him and have encountered him, even his supporters, can no longer overlook his gaffes and failures, which have included mis-reads on the teleprompter and one bizarre moment in which he nipped at Jill’s finger during a campaign event.
More than ever before, according to Garrett Ziegler, a self-described researcher with Marco Polo and a former Donald Trump aid: “That empty stare and the open mouth are signs that Joey has lost a step or two or five or six. His synapses have got to be fried.”
Florida mom sparks 500-person riot at skating rink after daughter's birthday party is canceled: 'Tear this bitch up'
Bill Maher says Biden is 'toast,' predicts date he will drop out of presidential race: 'Walls will keep crumbling'
As for the finger nipping, Ziegler added, “That was supposed to be funny. But he appears to be in worse shape than he was [at the time of that incident in 2019].”
In terms of recent confusion of facts – like the time when Biden claimed to have been the first black woman to serve with a black president – Bill Stevenson has a theory.
The former husband of Jill Biden, Stevenson – who knew Biden “when he was 29 and running around like a maniac” — claimed to the Daily Mail the union was busted up when Jill had an affair with the future president, a claim Joe and Jill Biden have both denied.
“Maybe the lies and exaggerations caught up with him,” Stevenson alleged to The Post, in reference to Biden’s verbal gaffes.
“Maybe he doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not real. I think the reality has disappeared in many ways. I think it’s catching up. You enhance and lie and let people down and you lose [a sense of] what is real and not real.”
The White House did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
When he travels on Air Force One, Biden now uses extra short steps in order to minimize the likelihood of stumbling after a number of unpresidential mishaps during his first term.
The effects of aging appeared to be evident during Biden’s recent Hamptons fundraiser in New York. Weeks before George Clooney acknowledged Biden’s mental slippage, high-rolling New Yorkers couldn’t miss it.
“I have a lot of respect for the man, but he should not be running for president,” a one-time supporter, who attended the Hamptons fundraiser and has a history in DC, told The Post.
In full agreement, at around the same time as the Hampton’s shindig where Biden clutched the arm of Jill for support – perhaps a streamline of the ambulating crowd that has been known to surround him as a distraction – Bob Woodward, Washington Post editor and co-author of “All the President’s Men,” described the president’s debate performance as “a hydrogen bomb for him and the democratic party.”
Astonished by recent deterioration, the former DC source added, “He looked so tired and they had him on teleprompter for a [fundraiser] speech. They’re trying to guard him to the best of their capabilities. But it’s just not possible anymore.”
However, that hasn’t stopped members of Biden’s inner circle from making the kinds of adjustments that can keep Biden looking presidential.
There are the aforementioned teleprompters which hand-hold him through many public appearances.
Stablizing shoes reduce the likelihood of an unsightly spill. First it was Hokas – the Asia-manufactured sneakers that are built for comfort and balance control – and now, according to Ziegler, “he’’s wearing sneakers that look like dress shoes. He should have gone for those from the start and never wore the shoes with the rounded soles.”
Some potential helpers, according to Ziegler are less obvious than others. “His home butts up to Christiana Hospital, one of the best hospitals in Delaware,” said Ziegler of a facility that is actually a few miles away from Biden’s Delaware digs and ranks among the top healthcare facilities in the United States.
“If they want to be discreet, doctors can easily go from the hospital to the house. There are no visitor logs; so nobody knows who goes in and out. And he goes home more often than [Trump] goes to [his Florida home] Mar-a-Lago.”
Speaking of Biden and his need for health-related accommodations, Ziegler pointed out, “This is not just an 81-year-old. He’s an 81-year-old with two aneurisms in his history.”

Hell, he needed to find something nice to say.

Top House Intel Dem: We’re Seeing How Biden Holds Up Each Appearance, Can’t Think About Presidency Like That
IAN HANCHETT 12 Jul 2024 2:36
On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight,” House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT) stated that “one of the really kind of sick aspects of this moment is that we are watching every speech, every rally, every debate and saying, how did he do today? And that’s just not the way to think about the presidency of the United States.” And the issue is if President Joe Biden is “able to be up three days straight and to make all of the correct decisions” in a job that requires near perfection.
Himes said, “[I]t’s really not about tonight. And one of the really kind of sick aspects of this moment is that we are watching every speech, every rally, every debate and saying, how did he do today? And that’s just not the way to think about the presidency of the United States.”
Himes further stated that foreign policy is Biden’s strong suit, and he showed that in his press conference earlier that night.
Later, he added, “The country and Democrats are in this moment where we’re so pleased, and, perhaps, not surprised, that the President did a reasonably good job tonight on foreign policy, which he knows so well. But this is what we’re focused on, forgetting the fact that the presidency, an office I have never occupied and probably never will, is so horrendously grueling, forget about a debate with Donald Trump, the presidency is 24/7. You’re awoken at 3:00 in the morning and the Russians are fueling missiles and, oh, by the way, the Iranians are doing something with Hezbollah and your political opponent has just accused you of being a traitor. This is a degree of stress that is unknowable to anybody but the president of the United States. And with — as much as I love and respect the man, this is not about whether he can give a good press conference, right? This is about whether you believe the trajectory, both for the country, three years from now, when the Russians are fueling missiles and Iran is doing something and the political opponents are calling him a traitor, is he able to be up three days straight and to make all of the correct decisions, right? This is a job — we’re going to watch Olympians in Paris, this is a job that, like them, requires as much perfection as providence will allow a human being, and people need to ask themselves whether that is the trajectory that they are witnessing right now. And they need to be honest about it.”
