Test,
It's.
Bob..Important ..Please Read..Below is a cut and paste of what I sent you privately...This is a private response to your public message.Again, I am typing each sentence as a separate paragraph.Looks confirmed to me that editing scrunches sentences and paragraphs all together.Thought you''d need to know this. The testing was fun. Thanks for the opportunity.DaveP.S. When I click Preview, each sentence shows as a separated paragraph. It is when I click Edit that they all ....Bob, I just determined that the problem with the disappearing URL is the quotation mark. I typed the words scrunched up in quotes in the above sentence and subsequently lost the rest of that sentence.
This is a test response to your message on the dood board.I am typing each sentence as a separate paragraph.I want to see what happens if I try to preview and edit this way to see if scrunching still happens.
Yep, as you can see above, paragraphs are still scrunching!!!!!
Posting New Message Here,I am including a URL link to test Bob''s problem.<A HREF=
Yes, Bob, same thing happened to me when posting a URL.
Also, the paragraphs still all scrunch together into one paragraph.
Willy, you're pretty much slimed out into the open now. Many iHUB readers will now second guess visiting your website now...thanks to you yourself.
Beware of what u ask for...
U just MAY get it!
Sorry Matt, but I think WillyWizard has had an ulterior motive related to Investors Hub for QUITE SOME TIME NOW!
Glad to see you awakening to the possibility!
Matt, just rechecked the link list at TOPPOSTS!
Kudos to you for understanding the need to clean it up.
HOPEFULLY, as admin, I can help keep it clean going forward!
Again, Thanks for listening. Sometimes I get lost in feeling that I ain't being listened to. You listened!
Thanks!
Willy, just a comment here about how surprised I am with your comments regarding all this all while IHUB posts ads for you and tries to justify them to MMMARY!
I seem to remember Matt justifying to MMMary why IHUB did such, and now you are turning and trashing IHUB. Does that make any sense to you at all?
I have more that just the site you referenced.
I'd be willing to compromise on 96 hours.
IHUB ADMINS don't all live, sleep and breathe IHUB.
Keep this in mind.
Matt, I have to disagree.
Although many here are impassioned to view IH on a regular basis, no.......48 hours isn't even long enough.
Wasn't the original intent of IHUB to create a clean consistent view of a given stock?
Do we truly believe that newbies only "read back" 48 hours? We all know that THAT isn't true.
2 week 'control' barely allows for 'Chairmen of the Board' to WANT to be a Chairman of the Board.
Real Life seems to dictate a necessity of 3 to 4 week 'control'.
JoeMoney,
Can't vote with you or against you since there is still no clarification between Stock Related, and Stock Clubs!
Willy,
There is such a simple answer to that dilemma. Let's set a rule that if an admin is not viewing his threads at least every 14 days then it is decided that he/she has abandoned them. Then, and only then should the 'higher policing' take effect.
Ok...sounds like a quick resolution, but WHAT is a stock specific board in relation to a stock CLUB board?
Matt......further......define the difference here on IHUB between Stock Club Board and Stock-Specific Boards.
Matt,
Glad to see your response, yet still confused here.
Bob said the 24 hour decision was yours, yet you now say you will yield to his opinion.
I say a Chairman needs 7 days.
We can't all live online 24/365.
Why is this now Bobs' decision????
Joemoney,
If you can't figure out what I was communicating, my point is proven.
Matt, what started out as an answer to all the limited abilities available on an Investors Website seems to be increasingly morphing into yet another of the "same ole".
What's happening that is causing this?
A historical study of "Police States" in society throughout the ages may offer the answer to this question.
Matt, I remember way back in the early days of iHUB that the intent of the creation of the website was the "CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD" concept. Has that concept in and of itself been tossed into the corner trashcan?
I can only hope NOT, and can only hope that my recent perceptions of "control", or lack of, are misguided or misdirected. I'll await your response here.
<<<<----The Original dpb5 scratches his head!
OK...but here are my two cents.....if there was a specific problem on a "couple of" boards....the issue should have been addressed with those boards only.
The blocking of control by myself or any other legitimate thread runners is inherently specifically against what I thought Matt was wanting to create here at InvestorsHub.
This blanket change in policy is limiting and alarming to me.
Bob,
Since you appear to be online and Matt is not, perhaps you can answer this question.
When IHUB first started I had the impression that the ADMIN of any given board was free to keep their thread cleaned up.
Today, it seems that any thread I have created now has a disclaimer that any post on a thread I created that I wish to delete that is more than 24 hours old, I must get Matt's approval to do so.
Why is that so, and when did it change?
Hey gang,
Trying to not be frustrated, but I thought we were trying to reinvent what the purpose of this board was? Questions and answers related to IHUB, not jet skis.
Just wanted to make a point of it. Please feel free to discuss jet skis on the HANGOUT board.
Now, here is a question for Matt....
Are you checking your PM's?
Of 135 lbs. of JoeMoney, how many pounds are unmitigated gall?
Lighten up dude!
Even I am now believing your sole intent is to disrupt IHUB in order to make this new JoeMoney website of investing you are working on to be something to visit.
In all endeavors of human communicative interaction it remains important that both communicators wish to continue to communicate in the very first place.
Example....at www.dictionary.com....look up the word DIPLOMACY.
Joe? Gall?
Please read...

Joe? Unmitigated?
Please read...

Yes, call it Crazy. Even call it dysfunctional. But I seem to see a trend developing whereby users from all around IHUB are finally calling a spade a spade.
This is healthy. VERY HEALTHY for IHUB IMHO.
As Board Admin here, I'll keep dancing around the boards I frequent and see if we can congeal what often appears on any internet investment message board as trivial rubbish into a "UNITED INTERNET NATIONS" of mutual comradery and attempted tolerance......
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=281705
MMMary, although you are a controversial poster on IHUB, I thought you'd like to know I just added your post to the all new thread here on IHUB called TOPPOSTS!
You might do us all a huge favor to get yo'self out of this joint and post posts like the one you did that I featured on the new board even while you were in jail, and stop the nitpicking individual mudslinging you are so branded as doing in other issues I have read whereby you were involved.
IMHO, your messages are usually correct, but it's the DELIVERY that you need to work on.
In other words, give stock opinions in 'the general', NOT 'the specific'.
Nonetheless, keep on keeping on, but keep keeping on the subject of stocks, and NOT those individuals that post against thee......
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=1003
This may, but hopefully will NOT cause some immediate controversy on this very new thread...
But the message delivered is very true...

God speaks through billboards.
Public service billboards created by a Dallas advertising agency (don't know exactly who?) received big attention in Dallas AND in the awards annuals. Here's a list of the variations of the "God Speaks" billboards. The billboards are a simple black background with white text. No fine print or sponsoring organization is included....
Let's meet at my house Sunday before the game.

Matt, gotta say I'm pretty saddened here by your post on this very board you wished could remain segregated to true Q & A about IHUB.
Bring those sort of questions into The Hangout!
I created that board JUST FOR THAT STUFF!
LOL!
*grin
Fascinating! Simply Fascinating !!!
Read the whole five part series which begins with this link....

Bob, A BUG? A VIRUS? Is it really true that if a programmer has a snag in the program it is called a BUG?
Is a BUG just an anomolous aggravation on the part of a programmer versus a mysterious intrusion by a VIRUS into a computer system?
And if it is something determined to be known as evil by an Internet User it can be therefore redescribed as a VIRUS?
Is there a specific difference in Geek Talk between a BUG and a VIRUS ???????
Probably not the most interesting question you've ever seen, but I'd be interested in the utmost in your explanation of the differences between a BUG and a VIRUS.
Thanks!
Sara, I must agree. Seems STILL so odd to me that some negative user would still feel the ungullible need to complain that their pages are loading in only 1.8 seconds rather than .9 seconds !!!!!!!!! (vs. dial up!)
MY GOD! What is this Internet World coming to?
Oh, I will not post what I'd like to as to my thoughts on that thought.
LOL!
OK.....maybe just a couple thoughts from a tired long term Internet User......hehehehe.....
Seems to me that either their ISP is at fault for not delivering as expected, or that they just feel this incredible NEED 4 SPEED today! My God, had they been around twenty years ago, 10 full minutes WAS LIKE LIGHTNING!
No pleasing the masses today!
LOL!
I just wanted to put in my two cents that it makes my head itch, too !!
But I guess it's one of two choices.
Either it's your prerogative to type its' proper grammatical context, or it's done as you say for its' own other twisted purpose.
However, I agree with Matt that you should take a closer look at what it may be saying about you, or you can just keep typing it your way if that is what you're wanting to, too !!
Too often we're left with two choices to use to get someone to comprehend what our meanings were, too !!.
We're your friend on this issue. Will you be understanding of what the two of us were trying to say to your
brain, too ??
We're not asking too much.
LOL!
:)
I'll add to that thought Chas....
The name TOP MEMBERS is what in itself creates the confusion.
Two lists are needed and should be implemented. How's this for two better names for the lists?
MOST ADMIRED MEMBERS
LEAST ADMIRED MEMBERS
This would be an even greater service to everyone, existing members, new users and Matt and Bob as well !!
The MOST ADMIRED MEMBERS list would allow Matt to feature members as well as the boards they post on. It would also allow him to monitor online which members are being singled out as LEAST ADMIRED MEMBERS which would help him more thoroughly administer the websites TOU.
For new members, it would be a great quick snapshot as to the so called "quality" issue that the old TOP MEMBERS list wasn't able to distinguish.
Instead of users merely "MEMBERMARKING" someone, all that would be needed would be to change that wording into two possibities. With the following two possible names for members to "MEMBERMARK" in either a positive or negative fashion.....
Mark as HIGH Quality Poster
Mark as LOW Quality Poster
In addition, is it possible that it can be set so that someone has to BE a MEMBER for "X" amount of time before they are allowed to use this suggested feature?
Wouldn't that stop a LOT of the current ability to CHEAT ???
Am I making proper sense to anyone with this thought?
Great memories !!!
