Joemoney,
I'd like to see it.
Something's up !!!
WLGS down 40% today on over 4.5 Million Shares, but most trades were large block trades at the ask on no news.
Somebody knows something.
Tomorrow should be interesting !!!
BOP, I tend to agree. A background color code of EEEEEE or DDDDDD would be far better on the eyes.
NW...truthfully, I already knew the reference you spoke of and only hoped it may help JoeMoney somehow. Call me crazy, but......just maybe?
After that.....
JoeMoney hardly had a friend in the world.
NW.....
Please expound on seventy times seven for me.
OK JOE, whatever you think is best for you.
Just keep in the back of your mind how much others tried to help. Without being indignant or condescending to you.
Don't toss friendships aside so quickly in the future. Someday you'll wonder why you didn't get any Christmas Cards.
Does even THIS make any sense to you?
NW...you gotta be kidding....
Are we raising a child here or trying to define what is correct social interaction on an Internet Investors Message Board?
Joe has been given far too many chances. He has tried even earlier today to pretend he will improve and subsequently slapped Poet in the face whilst she assisted his desire.
To me, that doesn't allow "another chance".
It just isn't worth more of my time.
Joe, you seem to have a disease of some sort about all this.
Poet tried her best to help you and you trashed her attempt. I tried to assist Poet in helping you and you trashed me as well.
Northwesterner, don't bother. He doesn't appear worth it anymore.
Poet,
KUDOS to you for your efforts here. I tried to assist you in your endeavors. Sometimes there is just no hope.
Joe, WHAT LAST PARAGRAPH?
Sorry Joe,
That response was enough for me. Good Luck in whatever happens. You deserve what you get for now.
Such a shame.
Joe, so be it......
Is it also more work to wonder why you are still in Jail?
Think, man. THINK!
MMMary, nooooo......
More like this......
Sara recently changed her original thought that NPCT looked good long term. I noticed in her posts that she recently sold short term.
(And then just end it with a question...)
What does Sara know that the rest of us do not?
(Never formulate a final ultimatum of dissent. Keep the debate alive!)
Yes, MMMary.....
It's called Burden of Proof. Always keep yourself in a position to make the other poster needing to PROVE what they said. But without negativity or mud slinging or name calling.
It's also called "DEBATE".
The more intelligent appearing debator always wins.
All current Jailmates can learn from this.
MMMary, do you honestly BELIEVE that Matt premonitors all private PM's here?
MMMary.....here are some ways...
Instead of calling someone names, I believe the usage of....
"I don't know how you developed this logic?", or...
"What makes you think that to be true?"...
gets the same point across.
BIG FAT LIAR!
DON'T TELL THE TRUTH!
LITTLE FIBBER!
Nah. None of these will work. What works is that you post your thoughts in a sane and sensible manner, always evoking a need to further engage in conversation.
Inevitably, the intelligent poster with a common sense approach will prevail. Give it a try.
JMHO.
Joe, the future is based on the past, and not the present.
Overanalyzing today's market about how long a bear market MAY last can get you into big trouble.
You are fortunate in that you are still young and have more years to gamble away on chance of success. My experience with this website is that the average member here is about 20 years your senior.
I remember feeling just like you at your age and thinking that the world was 'my oyster'. SADLY, life is not so accomodating.
Regarding your comment...
If not from the stock market, then from your 401k at your job. If you have a decent job with a company that gives stock (some companies even match stock)
.....perhaps you should poll the Enron employees as to their feelings on your belief in this ??
Keep thinking Joe,
You're starting to grasp it.
You stated...
I have lost about 60% since my holdings peaked in early 2001.
Many have lost more. MUCH MORE. We're all grasping for ways to recover, and like the family holiday get together, we don't need relatives to join the party that are pretending to be better off than others.
What we need is a common ground of understanding and support.
Less "DOG EAT DOG" mentality, and more "ALL DOGS EAT" mentality.
Get my drift?
Bingo Joe,
You just MAY have hit on something here.
It's OK if you aren't sure of the proper grammatical usage of a word in a given sentence.
When unsure, as in the use of your or you're, or effect or affect, the commonly accepted apology is to follow the word with something to show that, as in...
<sp?> (for spelling)
Others use another phrase...
<sic>
Even adding those to your post would be considered acceptable and not considered annoying.
Just some food for thought here.
Joe, you said...
when I spoke of having friends of different incomes. I said this cannot be possible because lower income people are intimidated by higher income people. I don't know if "intimidated" is the right word, but jealous or envyous could all go in the blank depending on who your speaking of.
Intimitated is specifically not the correct word here.
Nor is jealous.
Envious IS more likely the correct choice of words.
Lower income people are by nature envious of those of higher income levels. And rightfully so. Even if your income is $300,000 a year, aren't you envious of those making over $400,000 a year or more? That does not make you an intimidated or jealous person, only merely as you correctly state.......ENVIOUS!
All people ENVY others. It's our raw nature as humans.
It is the emotions of intimidation and jealousy that stand in the way of effective human interaction. And that is what Matt and Poet have tried to get you and others here in jail to understand.
Right, wrong, or indifferent, people are people. Some have greater knowledges than others. Some were born into different environments than others. Some know greater compassion than others.
Yes. ENVY. Envy is the right word for most of life's problems.
Joe, you said....
I don't understand what my grammar has to do with anything.
Several times in the past you posted that you use the word your when you mean you're just to aggravate people.
Language was developed as a means for people to interact on an intelligent level. Have you ever given thought that your grammar is a reflection of intelligence? Or is it simply unimportant to you whether you're appearing intelligent, or not?
It's more important than you may think.
joe, joe, joe,
And here you sneak in a snide remark on MMMary!
I thought you were seeking parole?
joe, joe, joe...
You used the use of 'your' incorrectly again!
Do you just hate the idea of having to type 'you're'?
Joemoney,
Just my opinion, but here is a thought.
If you're done arguing, why not post some legitimate non attack thoughts on the Jail Board here about stock investing to show your sincerity?
Joe,
Nope. Don't work for IHUB. And I don't really "care" in the sense of which you ask.
Just passing along some years of wisdom.
You'll understand it more in about 20 years. Maybe sooner. If you listen now. That's all.
Joe,
More for you to think about.
From your post...
Matt said: Continued abuse of the word 'your'
You replied: That's not against the TOS. Your being a tyrant.
Joe, you yourself admitted a while back that you purposely use the incorrect usage of your/you're to irritate (or words to that effect).
Matt then subsequently asked you politely to discontinue the very irritant usage.
You have chosen not to. (TOO? TWO?) Even whilst sulking here in Jail.
Why are you doing that?
If you truly want to make amends and be released, I would suggest a true attempt to mean well, post well, respect others, and attempt to live in a society of diverse personalities whether they be on the Internet or in your (You're) personal life. Let it become a prerequisite modus operandi for attempting to secure a sufficient sustainable release from the current situation.
And it needs to start with your (You're) attitude whilst still incarcerated, IMHO.
Don't kid yourself (you'reself) for one minute Joe by believing that the Internet is any different than real life. Whether in real life or on the Internet people learn to appreciate and respect others for how well they are able to interact with others in many vastly diverse situations.
As you may have noticed by now, I continue to interact with you because I see deeply beyond your frustration of being kept cast aside here on this website and in a closed mode of communication. Did you ever even think for one minute how much worse it could be if IHUB didn't have this "Jail Forum" available for you to vent yourself and try to gain relief from this seemingly frustrating position you find yourself in yet once again?
From what I have seen on this website, there are quite a number of posters/members who are vastly older and wiser than you in their years and experiences. Step back and contemplate for a brief time just how much it may be that you could potentially learn from that one fact alone.
Loosen up your ever too stiff shoulders of pride for a while and learn to listen to voices of the past that were around long before you were. It's the best advice I can possibly offer you.
Joe,
I can past any test.
OMG...you're too much !!!
This is getting 'gut wrenching' now!
Ummm, Joe?
Do you honestly believe that a post like the one I am replying to you about will ever get you out of jail?
EVER?
Joemoney, or anyone else,
Can someone please post JoeMoney's real age so that I can try to grasp a maturity level here?
WTM...that's not the worst of it....
I, too, noticed that even though JoeMoney finally properly used the 'you're' contraction correctly, he really botched it on the worse/worst usage.
Matt's grammar test "oughtta" be really fun, TOO!
Matt, Bob, Atomic Clock Synchronization Utility...
http://www.davecentral.com/projects/maxiimusatomicclocksynchronizationutility/
Bob, here is a link to some quick reference to cgi scripts available involving time zones. Not sure, but thought this might help you.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22time+zone%22+%22cgi+script%22
Bob, perhaps the time problem could be fixed by adding the choice of time zones to the new settings mode so each indiviual could exact their own given time zone choice regardless of where they actually live ??
Bob, to solve the color blindness problem, any way you can fix the program to not only "color code" the misspelled word, it could ALSO udnerline it?
That may solve the problem easiest.
Just a thought.
Bob ... testing quotes problem...This is the URL of the page I am on...http://www.investorshub.com/boards/post_reply.asp?message_id=284294And this is to simply test a phrase in quotation marks.....(And this is to simply test a phrase in "quotation" marks.)Yes, Bob, it appears that you have fixed the quotation problem, but the sentences and paragraphs are still scrunching together. And so you know, I am using a webtv browser (Actually called MSNTV browser nowadays, so it's a "Gates Apparatus" LOL!
Is this paragraph all
Yes....just confirmed that the quotation symbol causes lost text in edit mode whether it is just words in quotation marks or a URL in the post.
Previous testing was without using preview first and this test USES PREVIEW FIRST...<A HREF=
Test
Are these paragraphs all "scrunched up"? (scrunched up should show in quotes.
