That's just great. More taxpayer cash going into a black hole.
Grants! ...Taxpayer cash!
Is should be great for King&Co.
I'm hoping we get a SEC investigation announcement so I can BUY MORE on the cheap. Glta and here's hoping for more bad press! Lol.
"She (Powers) said she “shared the view” of Mr. Woodford that there should be an investigation and “wanted to see this stuff put to rest once and for all.”
-Nov 2015
“We’d hoped the shortcomings in governance, reporting and relationship between the company and its manufacturing business could have been addressed. But a complete response has not been forthcoming and we have not had any meaningful dialogue with the company.”
-Dec 2016
You just can't make this stuff up.
"Woodford gives up on American biotech disaster"
I'd say that's about as bad as it gets. Black & Investigation no where to be found, just like I've been saying. It really is amazing what penny stocks can get away with over and over again.
God bless, "FiduciaryDoozy"!
"What we underestimated was how governance issues would undermine the fundamental technology story."
There one and only one thing you should be debating at this point; Why haven't shareholders been updated on the horrific allegations that crashed the stock and alleged investigation?
Absolutely only my opinion but well founded, I believe.
Tell me has Powers ever requested shareholders lock up their shares to keep from being shorted? Has she ever offered a shareholder incentive warrant program, in appreciation for their loyalty?
Thanks.
It's opinion stated as fact. If it were true then why wait for Nasdaq deadline? There's not that many shareholders or authorized shares to not be able to reconcile. If there really is naked shorting (which I doubt at this point) then they're in and out within a trading day. And the legitimate shorting is probably hedging...The Woodford's and like.
And didn't forget, if they choose to not split authorized (which usually happens with penny stocks) the old shareholders who fronted all the trials/research, are in essence losing their ownership...being diluted.
It's critical investors understand this principle.
The reverse split splits the common class alignment and allows difunctional leadership to continue on. It is primarily a way to bypass bylaws and issue more shares. It should be one hundred percent outlawed, IMO, along with much of corporate Delaware law.
You are only confused because that's how they wish it. Much more likely the move to OTC is to get off the radar, what with allegations gone unresolved for over a year now and Woodford suit still brewing.
Yes, that was Bavituximab's claim too...The chemo helped! I'm sure it has nothing to do with hitching a ride into a trial. Crazy.
Good post. Yes more dilution, like squeezing a lemon.
So if I'm reading you correctly, you're basically saying that the market forces are going to wipe out the share price before ever taking the foot off the neck? It wasn't always that way, you know.
Hey, if the CFO signs on the dotted line, it's got to be true.
Oh wait I must mean the $500k audit committee. So confusing.
Lol.
Lol...You're talking about more dilution when most shareholders are down ninety percent, aren't you? No shareholder reward program to raise what little they need to get through?
Feuerstein knows he can say this stuff because it likely holds up, IMO. He called another company "A shiddy enterprise" and "leadership" never made a peep. Then guess what happened?
Even if true, the real quagmire is living longer with regards to what? And will the FDA honor the data. I read a Powers interview from a while back where she almost seems to have gone out of her way to say that Plll's and even good data don't necessarily mean commercialization...That here were many issues. Her willingness to reveal that seemed honorable at once while also feeling like a premonition.
My thinking, as well. Just data and maybe some sought after bio markers and long term immune changes data. All in the name of research...And salaries, of course, on investors dime.
"it does not bless the trial as having registrational quality."
Can I try those glasses please?
Lol.
"Straws"
Shareholders have lost ninety percent of their investment while Powers, the investigation, and the Plll trial wallow. And now a move to the dreaded OTC, a space where the unscrupulous dwell.
...Yeah, "Straws"! Lol. Where there is hope...
Thought about that too. Guessing Woodford put his fist down with the OTC downgrade. It feels like Powers&Co. are in no rush and needed to be pushed on this. If true, it tells me that likely it's just a trial for data sake and no real chance for commercialization.
Maybe but his write off is likely worth far more now than holding on for the ever so slight chance the sp heads north. Plus he may not want his name connected with this OTC stock every time someone writes a bad piece. On the other hand, I'd want to hold ten percent if the alleged investigation had teeth and the suit was to continue.
Always be on your toes...Especially with penny stocks and governing concerns.
Could it be a little news generation for a Woodford exit?
I'm suspect of the holiday timing. It's perfect bait for cheery retailers and those looking to take the loss to stay in game.
All very strange. And to announce this after forcing a panic sell with OTC news. News delivery should've been the other way around. That news alone could've put them over a $1 if they did it right.
Oh please, stop it! There is likely no investigation and if there ever was, I'd bet it was shut down for what Black&Co. found or didn't find, in is case.
Moving to the OTC cuts off almost all the news feeds and when ugly things start leaking out nobody will care. It's probably an "I told you so for messing around with OTC stocks" kind of strategy.
The big question to my mind is if Woodford is outraged enough to pursue? The way it looks now Phase Five&Co. are the good guys.
I note nobody here is looking for Powers head, her resignation, a true and honest account of Phase Five allegations. Justice does not prevail in penny stock world, this much is obvious.
Maybe Woodford could use it for something? Lol.
Yes, this way they can get the stock down to a few pennies and then reverse split, maybe even into another company.
First, you'll likely see larger spreads, then later brutal swings into the single pennies. Somewhere probably between .01 and
.03 they'll pull the plug. Another company will take the shell...Maybe an auto parts company?? At least that's how it almost always goes.
There is one other outside possibility; Maybe Powers takes the thing private?? I can almost predict by their behavior common shareholders will not be happy.
That'd be correct. But first the pink sheet boys are gonna apply a little pain...And not gentle like before.
That's a whole lot of cash to be paying for an audit of such a small company. Latest proxy has zero mention of CFO duties.
Audit Fees
The aggregate fees billed and unbilled for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015 and 2014 for professional services rendered by Marcum for the audit of our annual financial statements, the review of our financial statements included in our quarterly reports on Form 10-Q and consultations and consents were approximately $538,000 and $536,000, respectively.
Audit-Related Fees
Maybe she hopes nobody will show around the holiday?? The old "Announcement just in time for Christmas!" routine. Perfect retailer bait.
"Tanks or trades sideways"
That's because there's an alleged ongoing investigation into the CEO's doings with no information. Or are your other holdings similar?
Deep Penetration is the name of the game.
That's how you beat the shorts.
Relevant in that the figure convinces investors to hand over cash and physicians/universities to do interesting research. Irrelevant in that the figure is not real world and discounts patient determination to find ways to live longer.
What's your take?
Yes, I don't care what the cancer type, I see it time and time again, these small sponsors are getting over by using semi-irrelevant control figures while collecting endless salaries and doing interesting research. Shareholder outcome -zero.
Wrong.
Results:
A total of 317 patients were included in the analysis (133 in year 1999–2000, and 184 in year 2009–2010). Cox regression analysis showed that the survival was significantly longer in patients in years 2009–2010 than those in 1999–2000 at P<0.001 with HR=0.56, confidence interval (CI) (0.45–0.71). The 1- and 3-year survival rates were 20.7% and 4.4%, respectively, for patients in 1999–2000, improving to 40.0% and 10.3%, respectively, for patients in 2009–2010. The comparisons between the two groups in survival at 1, 2 and 3 years are all statistically significant at P<0.001, respectively. The median OS was 0.36 and 0.74 in 1999–2000 and 2009–2010 groups, respectively.
Conclusions:
Over this period, OS from glioblastoma has increased significantly in our unit. We believe this is due to the institution of evidence-based surgical and oncological strategies practised in a multidisciplinary setting.
As an example:
NovoCure:
Patients treated with the combined therapy reported a significant increase in median progression free survival, at 6.7 months versus 4 for those treated with the drug alone. They also reported an increase in median overall survival, at 20.8 months versus 16 months for the drug alone.
A total of 43% of patients treated with the combined therapy were alive at 2 years, versus 30% with the drug alone. Seventeen percent lived to 4 years, versus 10% with the drug alone, according to the study.
