Sorry but I am just in the mood to talk, sooo...
I went to my Profile just now in the CSS.ASP mode and I thought I'd see number of Member Marks there, but they were no longer there. Will that show there upon final release of CSS?
Also, about LIVE CHAT, any way to make it optional as either a JAVA *OR* HTML CHAT choice? MSNTV cannot view/use JAVA CHAT anywhere on the Internet.
BTW...where is everyone else? Glad I showed up, elst you'd be having all this Personalizing fun alone! LOL!
Nope, no luck changing font size or type on webtv (ACTUALLY MSN TV NOW, and we should start calling it that or Bill Gates will get an ulcer soon, LOL!).
It doesn't surprise me though, MSNTV has never allowed font type changes, and as far as 'sizing', we have our choice in 'settings' of small, medium or large text, so I doubt you'll overcome this, but 'who knows'?
Just curious, is it out of the question to have optional 'wallpaper' patterns available as backgrounds, or would that drag down load time too much? Not me, but some folks really like that option.
Still have to refresh the page to change colors.
Maybe if you 'take the skates off the horse'?
LOL!
Great Job, Bob!
Here is an even more detailed color chart, including all the 'shades' of grey available...

This is a blast!
Bob, you may want to include a color chart like the one below on that settings page, for the users who just don't realize the potential here....

Also, the Investor's Hub Logo should be redone to have a solid white background rather than the current clear one. It doesn't look 'so good' with some of the color choices.
LOL!
Just some thoughts.
I was wrong....
Webtv doesn't need to log off first for changes to take effect.
I have now a tan background and a green menu background.
Won't we need to have TEXT COLOR options, as well?
Bob...webtv report...
I don't think a simple page reload is doing the upgrade for background colors, but when I sign off the Internet and sign back on, THEN reload the color changes.
Cool stuff, man!
I will experiment more.

Quick Poem..
In silence,
I screamed. Ever Retiscent of the consequence.
I devoured my cranial tendency and set it all aside.
Touch gave Feel, and Feel gave longing.
I walked great lengths amongst the knee high wheat.
When I finally arrived, I looked back across the field,
and saw myself.
Waiting. Wishing to join.
I pondered the shell of myself I saw over there.
How he must so strongly wish to be on this side.
I contemplated a brief moment.
I went forward.
He stayed behind.
That'd be nice!
Joemoney, if you wait any longer the short term will BE the long term. Don't you have AOL bookmarked as a Favorite Site here on IHUB?

Matt, Yahoo is "a powerhouse", indeed....
But I think it is OK and worthy for IHUB to subscribe at this point to 'outdo' and 'outbest' Raging Bull as a goal.
We all know that Raging Bull pages load way too slowly, their graphical pageloads are now intolerable at BEST, and I have written to the Investor Relations people at Terra Lycos who replied in kind....
to the effect...
We know the problem. We spoke to the technicians at Raging Bull just last week and the problem is being resolved.
That was 3 weeks ago.
Raging Bull is continuing to die a slow death. While IHUB continues to grow.
Fear NOT success, my friend!
Bob, perhaps it is in direct correlation to the amount of Sales Revenue for Pepsi and Krispy Kreme? If Matt is ordering Breakfast online using the SQL server, that could be a problem?????
J/K, of course!
Husker...ROFLMAO! EOM!
Glad to see Ola is BAAAAACCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!
Cantankerous (sp) 'Son of a Gun', but fun all the same!
And we have to have fun two times a day, too!
Matt, I'm not sure who started writing the reviews. I know I submitted the website to alexa.com the other day though, so I took advantage and wrote a review just now.
Check it out!
I encourage all other users to add a review to the link!
(And Matt, make sure you send alexa.com the link to the IHUB logo....'No Image Available' looks drab there! LOL!:) )

Just be decent to fellow posters. Let's try to have some fun here.

AOL Time Warner's Got a Refinancing
Apr 02, 2002 (TheStreet.com via COMTEX) -- With commercial paper becoming as scarce as street vendors selling nonpirated music on the streets of Manhattan, AOL Time Warner is refinancing $4 billion in short-term debt with a series of bonds maturing in three to 30 years.
But an analyst suggests that the media conglomerate's move is motivated less by a shrinking market for commercial paper than by a sound strategy of locking in interest rates at relatively low levels.
AOL Time Warner's battered shares rose 35 cents Tuesday to close at $23.62.
The company's bond sale, scheduled for Wednesday, will replace $4 billion of bank debt and short-maturity commercial paper with a commensurate amount of debt with an average maturity of roughly 11 years, according to Patricia Lee, an analyst at the independent credit research firm CreditSights.
The company, which had $22.8 billion in long term debt as of Dec. 31, reported $1.4 billion in net interest expense for 2001.
"This is a prudent financial strategy for them," says Lee, saying the company is taking advantage of investor interest in the company as a defensive core media holding by fixing coupons at relatively low interest rates. That makes sense, says Lee, since rates will rise if the economy recovers. "The danger now is [for borrowers] to be caught in the short end of the [debt maturity] spectrum," she says.
The transaction will also benefit the company by giving it greater flexibility to access bank debt and the commercial paper market for possible transactions later this year, such as a purchase of AT&T's interest in AOL Time Warner's Time Warner Entertainment subsidiary.
Investors have been antsy about the creditworthiness of numerous companies recently, with Tyco and Qwest getting cut out of the commercial paper market, and bond guru Bill Gross lambasting GE for its overreliance on commercial paper unsecured by bank debt.

ATTENTION!....I stand corrected!......

ATTENTION...from what I see....
OLA IS NOT IN JAIL. Current rules of IHUB state that a member placed in Jail will have handcuffs beside their nic.
Ola's profile shows no such handcuffs. Nor does he show in the "Jail List" if you type Jail in the Search Box and click on MEMBERS SORT!
I know that Matt "asked" him to 'hangout' in the Jail until he could determine what is going on with him, but ola hasn't responded publicly regarding it. I suspect ola is in private conversations regarding this situation.
I must say that I agree in context with Paule on this issue. There is a specific difference regarding what is deemed innappropriate conduct. The members of IHUB who have complained to Matt about ola's 'behavior' have in effect bypassed the very system of the Chairman of The Board concept. Not one of those angered posters PM'd me as Chairman of The Hangout Board regarding their frustrations as it relates to ola's conduct. In fact, on the surface it appeared that all was as well as could be expected of conversation on an off topic board such as The Hangout.
The Hangout is probably the most non specific topic board there is on IHUB today ('cept maybe the Corner Bar), and as Chairman of The Hangout Board, I can only hope that ola's silence relates to postings on OTHER non stock yet more "topic" specific boards than The Hangout.
I'd like to see a public response to from Matt and/or Bob about this issue if they would please do so.
