Good luck. Next week will be interesting.
Yes it is shameless. I was considering taking ten percent of my fairly impressive gains from the trades I did here and actually putting a long position on when it comes back to earth. Well, I was considering that, and then I read that and BAM, deja vu. That guy knows that’s impossible and won’t happen, just like all the times they told the same lie for every virus that found it’s way into the spotlight in the past.
They’ve never scaled any drug up. They’ve never made enough to go to trials.
A company that allows it’s officers to shamelessly lie to push the stock higher is not one you should invest in. What else will they lie about? Can I trust anything they say in future quarterly reports?
Ironically, they lie in the same unscrupulous manner as most all Chinese companies.
Maybe. Maybe not. Wall Street big boys will be salivating while waiting to buy all companies that reported good earnings right before the outbreak. All of them can be bought at some point and will return excellent gains.
That’s just old fashioned stock 101 tactics. How long they wait is the question, at some point everything good will rally hard off the bottom. I’ve never seen it not happen.
Don’t forget Apple reported historic earnings.
Holding a large cash position waiting for these types iof pullbacks has made me very successful in the market.
I generally keep 50% cash and I’ll deploy some of that with the intention being to trim back into my cash position as it goes up. I always end up where I was before the event with a larger bottom line and 50% cash.
An old wise man told me back in 2008, “The world only ends once, this isn’t it.”
Superior gummies are good for the planet.
If they produce a new unused beast, can it be used to make gummi bears? Just wondering. Actually I believe there is a market for their technology. It does work according to someone I trust who stood right in front of it as It ran. Converting used plastic and or oil to keep it out of landfills may become more important, with the reduced damage to the environment becoming the *profit*.
I don’t know. I do know it will be a good investment. I also am of the opinion that you should wait until after earnings to add, earnings are hard to call, I expect them to be good but they can sell off after earnings anyway. If they do you’ll be glad you waited, if they rally some you’ll be glad you bought your first half before earnings.
That’s just my opinion and that’s how I’m doing it. Make up your own mind and good luck. Also the global virus event may put extra pressure on everything. On the other hand Amazon totally ignored that because of stellar earnings so far.
See, unknowns, that’s why I’ll wait to buy more but it’s my money, that’s your money over there by you. lol
I’m looking for $22-$25, with the current global situation it may take a bit longer, the corona virus may have just started a major market correction, everyone’s got gains they’ll panic and take.
I'M IN!
Correct and well explained.
Agree. It could be bad, the stuff of major corrections and recessions.
That’s ok. I was ridiculed slightly for taking options profits here until after earnings. If one remains calm with cash you can bank a negative move on anything. I own Apple since below $180 but I’ll always trade around the core position, stock or options.
Parking money in anything and just sitting there is not lucrative.
DB got me thinking, he could be right and this may move lower. I think I will straddle this to monitize a move in any direction. It’ll slightly reduce my gain but there’ll be a gain.
Thanks for your input DB. The goal is to always make money.
Wow. Gutsy play. Good luck.
Excellent post as always. Amazing how that ALWAYS works.
The volume is so high it can’t be all retail, I think high frequency trading programs are all over the virus stocks right now. If that’s the case it could be brutal when they move on. But I think this could settle a little higher than it started.
On the fence right now looking at my increased cash pile I’m glad I held onto.
Awesome. Glad to hear you banked that trade. You doing more? Which way do think it’ll go from here. I put on some more calls today for a few months out.
I use tdameritrade. I did re-enter repeatedly. I guess it makes sense that available to borrow shares would be bouncing around considering the huge volume.
I think I’ll sit the fence a while. It’s time to add stocks of good companies that have reported great earnings but have pulled back on the situation. Crisis trading/investing is always easy money.
That’s amazing as a few of us have been unable to open short positions.
Yes, I suppose that would have to be it. I expect this to come back down hard at some point near term. I think it may hold onto some of its gain and not return to pre outbreak levels. I wanted to short for a cover around 8 dollars and then get back on the fence.
At least I was able to hit it pretty good on the way up. Good luck to everyone.
Now let’s hope nobody gets the virus.
TD Ameriturd won't let me short it either. It's the most glaring no brainer I've seen.
I will go long or short depending on the way I think something will go. I don't short dividend stocks paying stocks. This will come back down to earth after all is said and done.
They still can't make a large enough batch. Recently the doc said he could cure thousands of people in a few months.
Thousands. That is hilarious.
But I did make money here.
I've been trying to short it so I can wait for the virus fear to go away and they won't let me have it. I get cancelled immediately.
And you can't buy options on it either.
I think he's more along the lines of Saul Goodman. Better call Saul. LOL
Hindsight trades are always 20/20. ROFL
Man I hope that one dude didn't chase this at the top with his life savings.
Correct, but to be fair you have been watching this company for years. I think it's shameless how they decided to pump with fluff bomb pr's again.
Where's Arvitar? He needs to post that old graphic from their website that shows how they would have aids cured ten years ago or whenever that was.
But this is fun to watch and I honestly made a killing on the initial run.
Fun stuff.
Now is the time to add after earnings tankage calls!
This is also what I think. lol
Did I miss something? Did they solve their inability to scale up to large scale production? When did that happen?
Yikes. Chasing this with your savings? Good luck to you.
VPLM IS A PROVEN PATENT TROLLING PINK SHEET SCAM.
Because that’s what Apple likes to do. Make it cost. If someone sues Apple, it’ll be expensive whether they have a good case as some have or they are a contentious little patent troll like VPLM is.
Ptab is meaningless. They have a 100% loss rate in court I hear. That is why this is still a stinky pinky.
Arguments that this isn’t a patent troll pink sheet scam stock selling scheme don’t hold water.
But the emu’s wheel is wood and has pig fat slapped on the shaft for lubrication. Tim cooks wheel is made of energy absorbing rubber with modern bearings that never wear out. The judge will laugh at the PREPOSTEROUS idea that the emu is trying to extort money from Timmy because he is imagining his pig fat impregnated wooden wheel is the same thing. I mean they are both round and all but jeeze what a joke.
Partnership with UPS! Sweet. This has been a long sweet ride since my $17 entry.

And yet you haven’t refuted anything. Just calling it preposterous doesn’t do it.
Let’s try this. You invent the covered wagon. It’s kind of useful for it’s time. It has wheels, seats and four horses and can transport five pilgrims across the country in about six months. Later I come along and develop the double decker bus, it has wheels too and five hundred horses and transports 60 people and their luggage across the country in a couple days and I make billions transporting people in a similar fashion as your covered wagon.
Do you think I owe you anything for your now totally useless covered wagon? Would you think I stole your covered wagon? Oh and I suppose the freeway developer owes you for the dirt path you took.
Don’t forget, this CEO also thinks he writes blockbuster movies and gets those stolen too.
Cha Ching. Amazon! This is another one that has been easy money with calls, especially for the Christmas quarter.
Nice! Don’t forget to lock in gains, options can turn on a dime.
I agree. I’ve been quite amused by the whole thing for quite some time.
Added calls. Today’s calls are for selling on reduction in virus fears. This is what I call crisis trading and seems to be easy money almost every time.
