Tells me there wasn't enough Men at the party. Check out those Jugs.....
AMRN held up well going into close, AH as well. Now if SAM81 posts good script numbers tomorrow, it will be a good day.
"Relax Don't Worry, Take A Vascepa" my take-off from my Homebrew slogan.
"Relax Don't Worry Have A Homebrew"
Herbie; for a second there I thought you may have been referring to the Stanley Cup???? Pretty good series going on there Ayyye.... hoser?
Tonight's the final game 7
Wode; NASDAQ's been on a tear, I would say just normal market retracement. Let's face it, Amarin is dead money right now until further positive news.
We (longs) are all aware of where Amarin should be priced, so, if the market thinks otherwise so be it.
Patience my friend.... patience. Think where we all were in September 2018.
Nuke
Sabre; You're joking right? 68,390 scripts a year from now? Wow..... I'm putting in my sell order now...... NOT!
If we're not at 250K weekly scripts at least by next June, then Amarin is definitely doing something wrong.
Potentially VASCEPA Label change could effect a population of upwards of 70 million Americans. Not counting the Diabetics, Alzheimer's populations.
Heck, people will flock to VASCEPA in droves, maybe even give it to their children. What about kids and adults diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Dementia?
I sent three (3) bottles of OmegaVia EPA500 (85% purity) with my ex-wife to give to her 84 year old mother in the Ukraine. Her mother now swears by the stuff. It was a miracle as she described it. Imagine how she would feel with the "real deal" VASCEPA (96% purity).
OOH RAH!

HD; Marginal in English terms or American ideology means it barely passes minimum expectations.
An example; A marginal business is an enterprise that does not have a present or future capacity to generate more than enough income to provide a minimal living for the treaty investor and his or her family.
If you were receiving an annual raise for example; You would be either Exceptional, Exceeds expectations. If you were rated as Marginal, you would be considered as barely passing the minimum standards.
Hope this helps

Vegas: Thanks for the post and hyperlink, this topic lends itself to our present board conundrum.
"Does Amarin GIA or does Amarin Go for Buyout?"
Since time is money, the roads seem to be converging here.
Pfizer did not realize until too late that Enbrel was very effective for Alzheimer's as it was an Anti-Inflammatory drug used for Rheumatoid Arthritis. Enter Vascepa with 10 years of patent protection.
Plus, other factors that were discussed at length today such as;
>Amarin non-committal on hiring sales reps until after label expansion
>Pfizer has a seasoned sales force whom Doctors trust and have a working relationship with.
>The cash burn to hire and train additional Reps would weaken shareholder value, perhaps causing further dilution.
>Vascepa has many potential indications it could benefit but no deep pockets to do the studies, enter big Pharma.
>How about Insurance Companies? How much clout & $$$ does Amarin have vs. someone like NVS pr PFE? When negotiating?
I don't know maybe I'm wrong but the tea leaves to me say, hang onto your shares....because somethings gonna happen here sooner than later.
Babr; I just hope Amarin management once in a while reads this message board. Albeit not all suggestions are valid, but realistically, training takes time. To develop a good sales rep is like training a Nuclear Operator. No difference really. Especially when the sales reps are representing your (our) company. These folks absolutely can make or break this company.
Hmmm, where do I apply? I'm ready for a career change. Anybody care to join me?
Nuke
North; nice call on ReWalk RWLK, up 180% this morning. Dang
Hmmmm, BioBill is an okay guy, just learn to go with the flow and take whatever he says with a grain of salt. He maybe OCD, but he's a been a big part of this board for a long time.
I think if the rest of us have done even an inkling of what Bio has done with communicating to FDA, Senate HELP etc. then Amarin would hardly be a blip on anyone's radar.
In his latest diatribe, he's spot on with the hiring of Reps. Especially with last years fiasco with hiring the 150 Reps? It will take at least 2-3 months if not 6 months to get Reps trained up, especially if they're newbie reps.
Since Amarin has stated they won't hire reps until the Label change is closing the gate after the horse has left the stable. IMHO is doesn't show any confidence by Amarin Management. The market can sense that lack of confidence too. The adage of under promise and over deliver is getting old as well. "Shoot for the moon"
IMHO,
Nuke
Kind of unbelievable, but we all know that Amarin is traded so light today 1.7 million shares traded, market has this stock figured out, dead money until FDA approval.
DOW is up 462 pts
NASDAQ up 155 pts
Yet here Amarin languishes @ 17.51, we should be closer to $30
Still snow on the San Francisco Peaks, really nice. Lots to see and do. Phoenix is too big and too hot.....
Agree with Bio Bill, Amarin needs to train the 600+ reps now, plus so much more. Of course we shareholders are the last to know such things. They're (Amarin) is probably already doing so..... Ya know arm chair quarterbacking.
But, on the flip side if Amarin did announce they were hiring 600 reps this would definitely indicate GIA...... because they haven't only adds to the anticipation of an "Offer Pending."
Geez, just woke up in Flagstaff,AZ to a bunch of bickering...... Oh well, back to sleep for me. Did an all nighter cooking a Brisket for family.
I'd much rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.
Ahhh, what a couple of Molitoff's could do.......
Registrant information/resides in Scottsdale, Arizona? WTF, time to get a Private Investigator, then I can send my cousin Guido over to make a friendly visit. Break a few things, make them an offer they can't refuse.
Yeah, but if your Monty Don (BBC Gardeners World), then people begin to pay attention. At the very least Ms. Fisher can coach JT into being a better speaker, like having a speech writer.
Damn, what a bunch of whiners on this board.... the whole Biotech sector is down, plus the DOW and NASDAQ. Jeezus....
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5ENBI/
AMRN is up 12%, our day will come.....
Seabee; Don't know, I wouldn't assume that.
As several posters have stated, FDA has all of this information already. Heck, they (FDA) has had 7+ years of review, plus the court cases, safety profiles. Should be easy money for the FDA to expedite this review.
Earlier than expected could be what a week, days? In the end who really gives a rip. It's all politics.
Next watershed activity is FDA Approval, sometime in September....
Take care,
Nuke
Pity those folks who set stops.....
Big Boys want your shares

“We expect earlier approval of an expanded indication for Vascepa to lead to faster improvements in care for millions of patients with residual cardiovascular risk after statin therapy,” said John F. Thero, president and chief executive officer of Amarin. “
What do you think it means?
Good Job Bio; Keep up the pressure on Woodcock, she needs it for sure. Don't listen to the naysayers.
"We're from the government we're here to help" just doesn't buy it for me.
Just look at the gun laws they're trying to enact.
Nuke
Jeezus; remind me not to go on the "Survivor Show" with you. Already self-defeating.
Whoever sells if we do get a SR are only day traders. If any of us have learned anything the past 7 or so years being in this investment is patience or should have learned some.
Yeah, our minds play tricks on us for sure. Running for the hills because we get a SR is ridiculous.
sts; Try this on for size;
https://www.chargespot.com/news/how-safe-is-wireless-charging/
We're not talking a lot of EMF here, kind of like the Urban legend that cell phones were causing brain tumors.
JL mentioned 9 watts to drive their artificial heart, that's quite a bit of power, but then again that was 50 years ago?
EMF fields Charging cars via induction vs. powering a pacemaker, heart pump is comparing apples to raisins.
Just thinkin'
AMRN showing some activity this morning.....
Nuke
Has anyone thought of using cell phone technology? Cell phones have an internal battery that can be charged by induction charging. I'm sure someone has looked into this, right? Anything nuclear would have to be shielded, you are correct.
Invest83838; tell your sister to find another cardiologist. Vascepa is approved by the FDA, wtf is he waiting for? My optometrist gave me a script, my PCP did as well. Jeezus, these folks need an a$$ whooping....
July in Texas, Should be a Hot one.....Deepak better bring his spandex....and straw hat.
Cool, answers my question, thanks Raf
Thanks TTE, great info, makes you wonder if JT & Co. (Applicant) requested a Priority Review when they submitted the Application?
Pro-Actively, if you don't ask you don't receive? So, we are left to assume the FDA assigns the review status if the applicant doesn't ask for their preference in advance.
Here's what it says bottom of page 11.
Applicants may request that an application be designated for fast-track review; applicants may also request to submit completed sections of the
marketing application for review by FDA (rolling review). (See Fast Track, Accelerated Approval, and Priority Review).
Hence the transparency of our Leadership. I'm thinking it would have been prudent for JT to say when submitting the sNDA..... yes, we did request a "Priority Review." If he did say this then I stand corrected.
Fabio; Just following up on what Joe (jfmcrr) said. It's obvious you're a pretty smart guy and took the plunge and decided to try Vascepa. Heck, when I was 40 I was still a nitwit, now I'm a half wit..... :D)
I'll reiterate what Joe said; At your age, height and weight, you don't seem to be in terrible physical condition. Now, if you were in the trades, Pipefitter, welder, bricklayer, carpenter then I'm sure your VLDL, LDL would be in the normal range I would guess. Physical exercise can come in many forms. However, being in the trades can be hard on your body as well. So, that's the price we pay.
Like riding motorcycles..... right Joe?
Being in your 40's You may not see the benefits directly as an older person would. I know there are some subtleties with Vascepa (Icosapent Ethyl) that I didn't know I had until they went away. Arthritis in my hands, energy levels (I don't exercise), mostly gardening and physical work. Increased Cognitive levels, Panic/ Anxiety attacks are gone. Libido improvement, dry eyes, etc. these are just those I've noticed. I love my red meat, but now I'm consciously aware of the Arachidonic Acid (Omega 6) Red meats and it's effect on Inflammation. If you get a chance read JesseLivermores Posts. You'll get an education for sure. Once the seed is planted then you'll understand the science behind Vascepa.
Like Allen Funt used to say, sometime, somewhere when you least expect it, someone will come up to you and say; Your Amarin stock just shot up $6..... No, actually it was a line he used during Candid Camera.
You know, if I worked at the FDA and Amarin bought Pizza and Wings for lunch followed by doughnuts the next day, I'd drop whatever I was working on to give Vascepa a exponentially super fast review. Where do I sign?
Ludicrous Speed...... I'm surrounded by A$$ holes. Large Helmet (aka Rick Moranis)
This kind of reminds me of Pre-September 24. This could be similar to the Tunguska Blast During 1908? Should be spectacular.
James, excellent post, where do I sign up? I love this idea. Maybe Elizabeth Schwartz should be contacted and given this idea? She can provide the contact information if there's an Adcom.
Nuke
So, VuBru, are you saying we'll hear something by May 31st (3 weeks) or May 24th (15 days) Wishful thinking......? If on the week of May 28 - 31st that exceeds the 60 day window as AMRN submitted the sNDA on March 28th.
Sure would be great to receive Priority Review announcement on or before May 24th.
So what happens when Canada beats FDA review by several months? Increased sales in Canada and commensurate Insurance coverage.
Says a lot for our FDA, can't imagine FDA not doing Priority Review, they've beat this horse quite a bit.
Labner; no that's cool, I had a similar situation in February, my daughter took me to the ER my right leg was severely swollen. I thought i had an insect bite, didn't see any entry wounds.
After about the 3rd or 4th doctor to examine my leg, they had administered me an Anti-Viral Antibiotic, when the specialist arrived, I was given a Anti-Bacterial Antibiotic as I was suffering from Cellulitis. Dam chickens.... :D)
It was here, give him this, no wait give him that, do you want a shot of morphine with that? (best part). The puzzled look on most of the doctors faces is what got me..... hmmm, I've never seen anything like this etc.,,
We don't know what it is, but we'll put you on every machine in our hospital until we do.....
Labner: So, you never questioned it when the prescribing doctor at the hospital prescribed Simavastin for you?
I understand positive confrontation is not in most peoples wheelhouse, but knowing what you knew about Vascepa and Statins, you willingly allowed the medical community to dictate what was best for you.
I hope you have stopped taking the statin? And why prescribe a statin for what was thought to be a heart related event? Sometimes I wonder where these Doctors get their education? As a population we are often blindly led by our medical professionals. Here take this, no take this, no wait you need this.....
Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry to hear about your episode. Health issues don't always give you an early warning signal.
Totally Cool..... Amarin is going after the ITC Bozo's..... Wonder what district and which Court? This should be fun to watch. The monkey trial begins.
dmlcento; put the curmudgeon on ignore. Amarin is doing fine. Come on man, we're not an Apple yet.....
Joe, Popa Chubby's a big boy, wonder if he wants to be a spokesman for Vascepa, couldn't do any worse than Ol Rick what's his name who sells razors.
Love and Beer, now we're talkin.
