Thanks.. hopefully it will hover around that price and won't go lower on the news. I'm in at 3.02 - looks like that days gone.
Just got home and read about NCC's buyout- OUCH. Are they going to drop this down to peanuts next week or is there a slight chance they could get a small pop? Any thoughts how this will play out next week?
Figures, I bought back in at .08 this morning and just looked at the PPS. Hope it makes a rally back up!
That was to be expected.
They need to HALT the market and let the dust settle..IMO
Started off good.. I guess WallStreet isn't ready for this to turn yet!
aharfo56.. agree 100%!! Let's hope for some small recovery.
Paulson needs to keep his tap shut until the market closes. Everytime he talks it tanks.
That would be grand!
Disappointing.. I thought this would boost the market and other fin. stocks. I'm sure they would have tanked the market if it went the other way. What crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Playing the waiting game - like two dogs sniffing each others butts. Tomorrow will be the big day. IMO
Things oveall are not looking so good! I thought the news last night would help?
Point taken - I got in today at .064
RBR2.. I don't read this as being very good? Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks DTGoody.
Question: This looks nice, but are they actually in BK and I thought the commons were going to wiped out? I just might jump in.
Is there a certain time set to have a decision?
Is this thing ever going to move again?
Heard the CEO of ABK was on some news channel today. I missed it. Did anyone see it and what was the general discussion about?
Thanks.
I believe Pres. Bush is speaking tonight - wonder how that will effect FRE and others in the morning? Will investors get more scared or will it give them some relief?
What a day... Given the current PR and depending on what news comes from the government over the weekend (being good I hope), would it be unreasonable to think this may may a turn back north next week? I guess it depends on news.
Just back in and what the he!! happened????????????? Is this whole decline based on Moody's reports? Is ABK done or will it rebound someday?
Any thoughts how this news will taint the stock for tomorrow?
Unbelievable what Moody's did this afternoon - possible downgrade of ABK! Just when things were starting to look up. After-hours were not looking good. I hope people don't get spooked and start dumping. It would be great to see ABK continue to increase despite the news.
WOW...How low are they going to take this down today. I was hoping for pop back up to the high 90', but it appears that's not going to happen. Any thoughts what it will take to get this within the $1-2 range (with the media's continued bashing it won't). Debating to sell before the close or just leave it alone and hope for the best?
Been watching this all day...unbelievable. Tomorrow should be interesting after the news media puts their spin on todays trading activity. Any thoughts what may happen at open? A possible drop with a spike back to todays close? It appeared there was a lot of buying throughout the day - I'm sure much was flippers. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
Ouch... I spoke to soon.
Considering the DOWN market today - I think FRE is holding up nicely. Naturally I would like to see it in the green, but things could have been a lot worse. Hoping for another EOD rally.
drluck.. I know it's FRE board - I've been reading FRE board for some time now. Sitll holding long :)
Morfawcircuit.. I was looking for the same link and after some DD I found this link: http://www.mffais.com/fnm.html
I'm not sure if this is where he found it, but it gives some interesting information who is buying, selling, or holding. I couldn't find where they bought 9M (perhaps I read it wrong - hope so). It was nice to see after-hours was up .07 on Friday. Does anyone know if the debt sale is to occur on Tuesday or will they have the sale results availble on Tuesday? Hopefully there will be good news about the sale before open to push this back up.
Ouch... pretty ugly today at the end. The negative press is starting again and it appeared it dumped based on that. From what I was reading the press is on the kick about gov. bail out and shareholders will lose. I decided to hold and see what next week bring. I hope the debt sale on Tuesday will restore the investors confidence back. The Bank of China report didn't help either. Any thoughts about next week? Good Luck to all.
My guess things will be somewhat calm tomorrow due to the 3 day holiday. I've been doing some research to see if there is anything brewing over the weekend that may give FRE/FNM a big boost on Tuesday. Does anyone know?
Looks like FRE is losing some punch... Do you think it's due to the 3 day weekend and they are starting their vacation earily?
Hoping for continued climb.
The After-Hours was only down .03 on FRE. I think it held up nicely considering all the shake up news with FNM. Tomorrow should be interesting - it may be all over the board. Tomorrow will be an important day IMO.. in that if FRE see's positive then the news didn't scare to may investors away. Let's hope for a positive opening and ending.
mlkr... Thanks for the information - hope to see continued increases.
Does FRE have a note due on the 30th of this month? I thought I read somewhere they had to come up with a certain amount. If they do and are able to fill that obligation - this will fly... I'm still trying to find the information. Thx.
NICE... Pre-Market up .67
Found below news on Yahoo Finance.
Fannie, Freddie shares rise in premarket
FRE 3.97, +0.68, +20.7%) shares were both up more than 10% ahead of Wednesday's opening bell as investors continued to question whether the mortgage companies will require a government bailout. Through Tuesday's close, Freddie shares have risen 41% so far this week, while Fannie is up 12%.
Keep moving up --
Well things looked positive today... and the initial aftermaket was up slightly. However, Cramer just put that in the toilet, giving his two cents worth about they will have to naturalize. Hope people dont't listen to him and it keeps moving up on good reports.
I'm hanging on so tight that knuckles are turn white.
Thanks... let's hope for good news.
