Could be. Looks like the price rebounded a bit from the low after hours. I still think call options would be a good way to go if you think there's a chance for success for Z.
All bios are gambles. Don't feel like an idiot. Yes, it would have been great for a successful trial, but it wasn't. Just lick your wounds and move on. Now, if you're still a gambler, I'm guessing the price of call options will drop now and you may be able to pick up some at a cheap price. If Z fails, though, it's probably all over.
Oh, it popped all right...
Rk, thank you for your EXCELLENT post!
Same to you, James. Here's hoping we get a home run soon.
Thanks, Iwas. I will do that.
My dad's family hails from Newfoundland so Merry Christmas from a fellow Canadian (okay, two generations ago)!
Strongly thinking about it.
Must be Legrande...
Why don't you email Greg and tell him he's a liar and how you feel about him? Let us know how he responds. Thanks in advance.
And you base this suspicion on what?
With the Cures Act passed and signed into law, time for Advaxis to approach their friends in Congress (IR said they have some) and show them what we have. Some of that money could go a long way funding trials.
Thanks, HD. Found it!
And they just arrested two stock manipulators in NJ the other day. Room for one more?
Name some.
Hmm...a rather cagey response. The trial has been recruiting for a few months. I would assume someone's been dosed already. Greg's usually straightforward so maybe a deal is in the works. It would be a nice Christmas present.
Will the partial hold have any effect on how the FDA may view the results of the PIII? I would think, if the results are positive, the FDA would accept them or would NWBO have to amend the PIII with the FDA to change the enrollment number before the results are known? I still don't understand why the hold is still in place. I'm hoping for a positive outcome for the sake of those who would be helped by this treatment but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a personal stake in this, also. GLTA.
Anybody email them to ask?
Oops, left out virusvic!
Gee, no georgiegirl, mikey or goonslurping..life is good!
I picked up some Mar calls for $.10. If I lose, it costs me $1000. If it goes to $2, I'll make $9000 (minus fees). I'm usually not a gambler but I gave it a shot.
wbrown129 - I took this from Investopedia: "A call option gives the holder the right to purchase the underlying security at a set price at anytime before the expiration date, assuming it is an American option (most stock options are). Effectively, no one would exercise this option to purchase the shares at the set price if that set price was higher than the current market price. In the case of a buyout offer, where a set amount is offered per share, this effectively limits how high the shares will go, assuming that no other offers come in and the offer is likely to be accepted. So, if the offer price is below the strike price of the call option, the option can easily lose most of its value. On the other hand, options with a strike price below this offer price will see a jump in value.
For example, on December 4, 2006, Station Casinos received a buyout offer from its management for $82 per share. Looking at the change in the value of the options that day gives a clear indication that some call option holders made out well while others were hit hard. On that day, the Jan 09 options with a strike price of $70, which was well below the offer price of $82, rose from $11.40 to $17.30 - a 52% increase. On the other hand, Jan 09 options with a strike price of $90, which is above the $82 offer price, fell from $3.40 to $1 - a 71% loss."
I don't think they are too far off on the size. It should come to safety and efficacy. We'll know soon enough.
I knew about the pediatric one but have not heard of the adult trial. Maybe they filed for it but didn't mention it as they weren't going to commence the trial for while. Still, what a GREAT article!
Actually, I think the futures were down 800 at one point. I, like most everybody, was anticipating a bloodbath at the open. I'm hoping the Trump administration may be good for bio stocks. If the two AEZS P3 trials are successful, this could get interesting. Just under 10M shares outstanding and a ridiculously low market cap. GLTA.
So much for that.
Olivia Ware appears to be gone.
Well, the PIII is slated to start soon. How much of a bump will happen (I expect at least a small one), remains to be seen. Should have PETX news by year's end (hopefully) and we could close out 2016 nicely.
Tina, I checked. They will not be attending.
Hello, Tina!
FT for anal cancer and head and neck may be forthcoming. I assume the company most probably filed for these, also. Developments appear to be moving quickly.
Absolutely, James. I think most small bios have or will be using that approach. We should be well above $10 at this point in the game with all the good news. Once we have some (great) combo data, it will off to the races!
