pick - No one deserves to be bashed we're all trying our best. I can't comment for the other newbie, but I'm not playing games, just trying to make money. Stocks are always speculation (or guessing). Did you forget that I'm the one who is supplying a report directly from a personal visit to CPTC, maybe with photos? Or did you forget that I told everyone when the two PRs are comming out? Don't you ruin it with angry comments!
Willy - Give yourself some credit as I did. You got the gap up in the morning and a higher closing price almost right(most important for NASDAQ qual and the long). I ignored your daily high and high volume predictions and increased my holdings of CPTC without additional bank. Thanks, looking forward to next week's controversial guessing.
Newzip - I'm sure EP's got me on net worth and definitely on charting, besides I just started trading recently and know very little about chart "math" and terms. O.T. Looking forward to a trip to the mountains to play in the snow this weekend. How 'bout you? Where are you from?
Taizu - Is that Japanese? What does it mean? Sold only a portion - that PR wasn't that great and the price went down. Do the math - sold 7000 shares at 1.17 (close at 1.15) buy 2200 shares at 3.80 (close at 4.09). That's an extra gain of $778 at the end of the week had I not done anything. Have a great 3 day weekend.
EP -No, you got that right - just the closing price for the end of the day(week). I said that Willy's $4.24 was a little optimistic. While your predictions are relevant and accurate, however, correct me if I'm wrong here, I consider my input in this case was more relevant to long investors.
EP- How is being a day later beating to the punch? What...ever, just more monkey torture. Anyway, I sold 7000 RSSYF for 1.17 and bought 2200 CPTC for 3.80 this week. Not bad for a non-charting monkey. How'd you do?
Bad Cuda - Check posts #1640, 1646 & 1650. Give some credit where its due. Willy and I called it yesterday, but I said Willy was a little optimistic. Not bad for non- chartist monkey,eh.
EP- Drama King! Ha Ha. When's the next boosh, oh, great one? I'm getting impatient - haven't made any money yet unlike many of your faithful. Although you have helped me trim my losses.
beigledog - market cap was 440M when I wrote that. Dropped to 428M soon after that - same as yesterday before 3:00pm. Bought some at 3.76 in hopes of better days ahead.
beigledog - Market cap has risen steadily since yesterday at about 3:00pm EST yesterday. I guess that means gap up. I do know the asking price is strongly tied to this number and sometimes you can get advanced notice. BTW, are you a chartist also? I'm still learning it.
EP- by backwards - I mean looking into the past. Sorry, hope I didn't offend too many with that. Can't take it back now. IMHO charting seems to work very well in the absence of near future factors. I think Willy's numbers are just a little on the optimistic side, but real close to what I was thinking.
Come on EP - I told you twice that I bought at your heroic .02 from the bottom, so using the word "again" is unfair and embarrassing. Is this the monkey torture. Let me be more explicit in that I take the midrange of your bottom, add a percent or so to get the lowest asking price for buying. Its worked for me a couple of times, so I highly value your predictions. Geez, I was trying to compliment you. Anyway, what do you think of Willy's predictions? Are you a chartist? I'm trying to learn the chart math, but IMO think it is limited up to the present with no consideration of future factors.
Argyll & Willy - I'll have to go with Willy on this. The numbers match my predictions also. I also said that today was the last chance for a good price on this stock. Chartists have their heads firmly on backwards. Perception of an upcoming positive PR on Tues. outweighs everything.
EP - If I just add a percent or two to your bottom predictions for the day I get pretty close to the asking price I can buy at- thanks, I'll have to remember that. Keep doin' what you're doin'.
Will, Electro - What about mosquitos? If I want to surf and ski in the same day, I can - here in Low Cal without worry about any of the creatures in your list. I'm sure laguna would agree this is the most desireable place in the world to live if you can afford it. BTW - what is O.T.? I'm sure it doesn't mean over time. CPTC stock sale - last chance to get in on a great deal.
Powerpole - I was told by J.C. last week that we will get a PR just before the SH meeting and a strong PR at the end of the quarter. FWIW IMO the PR before the SH meeting will not be strong. Are you the one who predicted the huge upswing on Mon. or was that MSGI? If so, I apologize for the misplaced credit.
ACL -I will, but I've already invested my hard earned cash - mostly on CPTC and RSSYF. Just want too improve the predictability to increase profits.
Rattman - what is Gnet?
Thanks, ACL this will be extremely helpful - I added it to my favorites. Maybe I will be a chartist someday. It seemed to help MSGI alot.
ehcos what about the the ones on the charts -like EMA, DMI, MACD, etc?
Golrusher - wow so many of these - I will have to tape a reference list on my monitor. What about MACD, EMA - the ones on the charts?
Thanks, EP, Willy, MSGi, Garth, Lentinman, echos,ACL,farmer, etc for your posts, I will be considering your posts more carefully from now on. I really did buy at 3.28 and made back a small fortune today, but just annoyed at myself for getting too greedy at the 3.50 mark.I started to buy around 5.00 and have been desperately trying to make up some ground over the past month and won't make a profit on CPTC until it hits 4.14. Is there a way to predict when a stock is oversold? MSGi had a formula.
Check MSG #1511 .02 from bottom also -I was awake, but you did call it your first nibble. I'm talking about today. Why the rally with no PR - only MSG1 got it.
Hmm...3.26-3.10 = .16?? That was last week anyway. What about today's no news rally? Do you predict another decline the rest of this week as a result or has the selling nearly ended? I'm giving you another chance since you have been one of the better fortune tellers in general. MSG1 says 4.25 by the end of the week.
I wrote down a bunch of quesstions from investors on this and the raging bull board and will bring them with me.
You called it, dude. I'll be checking your posts more carefully.
What is eom, mbw, etc? I have a difficult time with all these new investor acronyms. What happened to 2.80-3.20 if no PR?
I have a confirmed personal appointment with Mr. Carswell of CTC of Feb. 23. A camera will not be allowed, but will bring my inquisitive attitude and powers of observation. I will provide a brief report to be posted on the morning of the 24th.
EP - I did the same
I would like to know how much it costs to stay on ihub after the free 2 weeks are up. I don't think I have any money left!!!
That's "The Monkees" echos... echos...echos
I would like to refer you to my post #1463.
Really, I'm a serious investor, but had the misfortune of getting the tip recently and buying in at an average around $4.50 - a little frustrating now unlike some of these guys writing about a historic PPS of $.38. However, I'm willing to stick it out for a long time because whenever I look at the warped, tilted and splitting wooden power poles outside, I still believe there's alot of potential for CPTC.
In regards to the resin formulas used by the two conpanies- I guessed incorrectly in a previous post, the PR from GC stated that CPTC uses an epoxy not a vinyl ester. However, they have similar mechanical characteristics, epoxy being slightly stronger/ more expensive. I'm curious, what does CPTC do to prevent UV degradation of the epoxy? Do they paint the poles or use inhibitors in the formula?
The polyurethane formula for RSSYF is a very simple and commonly used MDI/polyol thermoset polyurethane and unpatentable - anyone could copy it - but not a critical issue. Greg Pendura (pres. of RSSYF) informed me that their process (not formula) is proprietary - the process is the key - because I know also that this formula is highly sensitive to moisture/humidity. Mr. Pendura assured me that their process keeps it dry. To add to a previous post RSSYF's polyurethane formula may lose stiffness in extremely high temperature climates.
I will pay a visit to their facility soon. I will include a brief written report with the photos.
I live 65 miles away, have a digital video camera, a digital still shot camera as well as the computer skills to do what you want. Besides, I'm unemployed and have the time.
I'm not all that smart - I don't know what a boosh is or dd is. I'm relatively new to investing - since last Aug. The reason I got into this is because I can't find a job. I live only 65 miles from CPTC maybe they could hire me. Probably haven't had the stock long enough to be invited to the share holders meeting - when is it?
Hi Uncle Bill - Here goes nothing. This is my first post of any investment kind and Im not afraid to admit it. I recently bought into CPTC and I've been reading many posts for a few days so go easy on me willygoodshot especially since we're blood. I am a chemical engineer with 10 years experience in composites. My first question would be does - CPTC have all their intellectual property secured, i.e. international patents since China has been known to play unfair? Also, I would like to mention Resin Systems (RSSYF) the Canadian composite utility pole manufacturer. In comparing with CPTC, the process and materials are different and hence their markets would only slightly overlap. CPTC uses a vinyl ester resin (I think) and pultrusion, it is less expensive and faster than the polyurethane resin and filament winding process used by RSSYF. The impact strength of the latter being somewhat better especially in extreme cold. I hope this is helpful.
