CCME, Traderfan is right - Geo's letter is scathing.
MOBI earnings monday; I'm out for now but will re-evaluate after earnings. I have some concerns, but saw a call today to position AHEAD of earnings for a run to $12. I'm happy with profits considering low-5's entries
New revenue streams will be nice, as will any future announcements regarding Facebook apps. I just hope that LVWD management realizes that there's a new paradigm of opportunity for them and their shareholders, and that they need to gear-up for it.
CAGC, yeah their response got me to sell my puts. Good response.
TSTC - strong endorsement imo! Just bought some
skeptic - great post, and WELCOME!
I think so but I have no idea what or when
linus, good info - thanks. The RTO that Liik is referring to is not with Colorep, but they alluded to "doing the process again" with other potential opportunities.
Sounds like we're still in a holding pattern for the forseeable future. That's too bad, because being up in Canada, I have wild dreams of them merging with a Canadian Rare Earth company hahahaha
I agree with you; doesn't seem like holding an asset would prevent a further transaction, unless it complicates things from a RTO perspective. <sigh> I guess I just sock it away for another year.
Did Liik say whether Colorep performed any action heading into 12/31?
ssk, never is a long time. while my sentiment is to hold off on new purchases as well, this too shall blow over. i bet these shorting houses themselves start getting a lot of scrutiny. that in conjunction with legitimate chinese stocks standing up to the attacks (e.g. AUTC) will eventually turn the tide back into positive perception. don't know when that will happen though.
Bulls - I believe they are going to pay a dividend:

I have no position
...unless it gets halted, then all bets are off
MOBI - Cult stock indeed.
CCME - muddy waters target 5.28
CAGC hit piece
re: Muddy, unfortunately the average investor can't do many of the things they mention.
How do we know the attacks are without merit? Do we really know that in ANY case? Or are we biased longs that don't want to believe it?
I have a goodly china exposure and frankly I believe that there's SOME truth to just about every one of the attacks.
LZEN - joe, the #'s are what they are at this point in time. The add'l shares will show up in future calcs, so you shouldn't penalize them for doing their accounting properly. The weighted avg shares will work their way into larger/growing net income. But I know where you're coming from; discounting them for 100% of shares now instead of weighted is conservative.
LZEN freakishly good earnings

traderfan - you're welcome. Timeliness is everything with those hit pieces.
LVWD - finally some shares for sale at .14; so thin
LVWD - THE penny social networking play imo

MOBI is one of my favorite stocks right now, being in the sweetspot of evolving macro trends, dense population, and global expansion. It's just a matter of time for this one to get white hot, especially if they continue to grow revenues at a rapid clip.
SGGV went from .07 to .40 back in Oct when china phosphate deal was first announced.
MOBI - You won't often hear me say something like this, especially on a board where finding growth and net income-laden stocks is commonplace, but for a stock like MOBI, it actually isn't weighed-down by earnings expectations. Huh? Did I just say that?
Yep, I believe it's true. It's like the internet stocks circa 2000, where the growth rates were off the charts and investors/traders could use their imagination about how high stocks will go, and at that point then they can start back-filling the story when earnings kick in. I mean, look at LOCM (another stock i'm accumulating a ton of in the low 4's). They are an "internet stock" and got sliced in half because their EPS missed by a couple cents. They have strongly positive EPS but suffer because of it. For stocks without EPS, they just need the trend headed in the right way with their revenues and losses, and all is well.
MOBI doesn't have earnings to speak of yet, but it has an astounding growth rate in a hottttt and sexxxxy sector. When you look at their prospectus, they have a neat one-page graphic that shows the following:
479 million users
3.6 billion downloads
5,600 mobile phone models
Over 61,000 applications and content titles
(#'s are cumulative)
That's pretty enticing stuff, considering they've only been doing this for about 4 years.
So here's the bottom line from a trading perspective: Smartphone apps, mobile payments, games, social network all rolled into one stock. That is why I believe MOBI is on its way to becoming a cult stock.
Edit: Just saw a post on another board promoting the fact that AAPL just had their 10 billionth download from their app store. MOBI had 3.6 billion as of September, and I bet they catch AAPL this year. Just adds more fuel to the cult fire!
MOBI - well on its way to double-digits.
MOBI - I bet this ends up being a cult stock. I mean, there's some serious allure to their business, considering their prospectus says they've had 479 million cumulative users over the past 3 years. Citi's $12 target that came out today is going to end up being low I think.

SIAF - sounds good for them.
KUN - bob I too sold most of mine in the 1.75-1.80 range, from .53 avg entries. Congrats to you for your patience!
Looks like you'll have your chance
Joe is a terrific trader, and for high-momentum stocks like KUN, there's always $ to be made both ways. The trick of course is not shorting too heavily too early. I wouldn't have wanted to be a SHZ short at 1.50, but the parallels between SHZ and KUN aren't numerous.
KUN will payoff in both directions, but it's a matter of timing.
I subscribe to the belief that all stocks are POSs, because even the best stocks can bring huge losses. But our job as ch-analysts is to find the alpha, and KUN was loaded with it in the .50's, not because of its balance sheet, but because of its story.
I used to spend 3x the amount of time poring over financial statements than I do now, and while the results were terrific, I can usually find the same alpha by having more insight into stories versus financials. Of course great financials tell a great story, so it's still a big part of trading - i mean, just follow what Superman does; massive earnings plays - but there's so much more to a stock than its financials. That's what makes trading and research so fun!
Joe, from a value perspective and in comparison to a lot of stocks we follow, you're right. Even if they reproduce the .04 EPS last quearter over the next 3, they're still at a PE approaching 10.
But back at .53, that .04 looked pretty darned good, as the company was reporting losses and then bang, +.04.
What has evolved since that time is the Amex compliance acceptance as well as settlement of class-action. In other words, the black clouds have lifted. In addition, small biotechs are in favor, and other similarly priced stocks have gone bezerk (e.g. SHZ, EEE). So KUN has a little bit of everything going for it, and it finally came together today.
Obviously its no longer a value play, and the momentum folks have it...and that's where we early buyers get to really bank. Don't short too early!
KUN +36%! great day for KUN today; took some time, but patience should continue to pay off. Now that it's in blue-sky territory, I really don't have a target...we'll see what happens, and I'll scale out along the way
CVVT - yes, they announced the INTENT to upgrade to Big-4; not sure if they've done so yet.
