ALSO MMS are not required to fill retail buyers/sellers at the ask for their sells hence the whole idea of a spread is that u must sell at the bid and buy at the ask... its the whole premise of it.... if u get lucky and get to sell on the ask then great.... but mms make their money off the spread that is why they make the market same reason you are not always filled on the bid if you put an order in .... according to your theory you should be filled immediately if you try to buy or sell anywheres and that just isnt the case... nothing illegal is goin on here IMO

Your brokerage firm is responsible for showing your bid/ask as you place it... etrade is a very good one for showing accurately other brokerage firms that route through a third party often do not have all the bid/asks shown properly bc they are dealing with so many different orders.... Glendale Securites i know GLEN i think is thier mm symbol usually does Etrade. ETRD.... nite and ubss often do not
