oh i know not to be greedy in penny land haha
GLTA!
thank you for posting that, I looked and couldn't find it
I can't imagine what good they have in store for us but i'll be honest, i got in Friday and don't really like the longer term prospects.
Rarely do the markets act kindly to a reverse split
this is certainly some dumpster diving!
the Marxe brothers are a joke, they kept selling INO in the .40's and since they ran out, volume has increased and is back in the 70's. INO has a lot of potential and they kept blatently selling
jmho, only sharing what I know
on my free lvl 2 quoter there are some HUGE bid and asks here between .148 bid and .15ask
bloomberg now says the 13th of February, thought it said the 30th a few days ago
make sense, the bid and ask were VERY empty, i probably could have wiped out either of them lol and im a college student
i own shares so of course i agree with you, while the bid was weak the stock hit the ask all day.
any opinion on why the volume dropped to almost nothing today?
90% of the volume occurred in the first hour or so
covering? it's down 8%
while 4,500 isn't exactly a large trade, the gap should at least close
there was a 135k bid as well around 1pm or so as well, who knows, looking for it to close gap before it drops back a bit
somebody wants in and wants in big. i wouldn't be surprises if she closes at 3 with this kind of buying.
i can feel the tension at 2.55, holy moly
the important lesson here is time is money, i think most agree that this will hit the big leagues one day, but with this news, it may take another 6 months to do so. people have other stocks lined up and they will come back later. same thing with VRNG lately, they won the lawsuit but the verdict was still in questions so people got out fast. any binary stock like thats how it seems to go
good point there but can you trade options after hours?
i want to paint a realistic picture here to but remember, these expire june 2015.
if things go well, this stock could hit $10-15 in a few months and those warrants look pretty darn good at 5.06
lol, you really love warrants.
keep in mind if you ride up the warrants, then buy when she pulls back, those profits start to skyrocket.
ive saved $181 by switching my little 340 shares into warrants
lol, ive save $181 by switching my car insurance to geico
haha, we sounds like salesmen. its important to keep in mind though that if we get a spike, i won't take too long setting up a limit sell. while they have performed better than the common, that is only because the stock over 6 months has done very well. if she was still under water, warrants would be looking pretty dismal.
they are illiquid to a point but we are essentially talking about options that expire 2015.
so as far as volume, it is low (average 10 day volume is about $220,000) but very liquid in comparison to any of the options past Feb 2013. most have never traded.
also, in the past three days, the warrants have performed better than the stock by quite a bit.
summary: they are a great option for those who don't have a lot of $ like me but want a little more leverage. they also won't crash as hard as the shorter term options. (i think a lot of the premium got taken out after the verdict)
oh cool, that's a great thing for my warrants then. no wonder they trade so well.
thank you and kennypooh for clearing that up
here it is unfortunately
"
We may redeem the outstanding warrants without the consent of any third party or the representatives of the underwriters:
•
in whole and not in part;
•
at a price of $0.01 per warrant at any time after the warrants become exercisable;
•
upon not less than 30 days prior written notice of redemption; and
•
if, and only if, the last sales price of our common stock equals or exceeds $10.00 per share (subject to adjustment for splits, dividends, recapitalization and other similar events) for any 20 trading days within a 30 trading day period ending three business days before we send the notice of redemption;"
excellent post.
i just switched over 2 days by chance because I wanted leverage (couldn't buy options) and I see warrants as actually less risky than stock because I can take a profit at 4.00 if needed while id still be under water with shares.
here is the SA article about the VRNG warrants
http://seekingalpha.com/article/862881-vringo-warrants-offer-an-amazing-asymmetrical-trade
the comments and article were very helpful. especially Brian Grad's comments about the acceleration
here is the registration statement for the warrants (new to this so its all i could find)
http://yahoo.brand.edgar-online.com/EFX_dll/EDGARpro.dll?FetchFilingHtmlSection1?SectionID=8751191-165843-183569&SessionID=Ki_bFq_l-A6Big7
"the last closing sale price of Vringo common stock has been equal to or greater than $5.00 per share (subject to adjustments for splits, dividends, recapitalizations and similar events) on each of 20 trading dates "
this states 5.00 but Brian found the updated version, where it is indeed 10.00 PPS
warrants will not top $6.
if the price averages $10 for 20 days, VRINGO forces warrants to be executed or the company offers .01 for them.
warrants are traded just like stocks, the price is set by the buys and sells.
i was just being conservative because there aren't any rules, the warrants could tank tomorrow for no reason, even if the stock goes up.
and keep in mind, dont keep the warrants if this things starts hitting 8+. the warrants wont scale much past 5.50
the warrants wouldn't trade at 5.06 but probably around 6 (the premium will last for a few days into the 20 day countdown, so that changes the numbers a little)
BUT i do agree that for longer term profits, warrants should be sold to buy actual stock.
however, in the meantime, if VRNG runs from 3.5 to 4.5, stock holders gain about 29% but i almost guarantee that the warrant will get over 2, probably topping around 2.2.
so 29% gain vs 40-55% gain.
a great way to increase shares in VRNG while still remaining in the stock without tooo0 much volatility.
seems we are the same track then. it just seems that at the moment, the warrants are following fairly close cents wise (considering it is 40% of the price of vrng) to vrngo's movement so any jump to 5-6, would easily lead to the warrants hitting 3.
just as a side note, warrants are most likely held by tougher shareholders (any newbie can find VRNG but finding the warrants is a bitch) i just found out about them myself actually
it does seem crazy but remember the warrants don't expire for quite a while. such a premium i don't see untouchable
JMHO, not trying to argue but share ideas
you can just trade warrants, yes that is true if they decide to execute them but they can just be sold for probably around $5 and make about 200%
BUT WARNING they become forced executable by Vringo if vrng trades at 10 or above for 20 days so the warrants will never be worth $50, probably like $6-7.
they are still a great option (Im in them because im not approved for options yet)
symbol vrng/ws on scottrade
it is vrng-wt on yahoo finance
I believe that is an awesome idea. I just switched boats and have been loving it so far (only 2 days now).
Benefit seems to be a tougher group of holders (mostly hits the ask, not bid)
and you get extra leverage without as much volatility as options.
I will warn you though, if the stock goes to 10 and stays there for 20 days, owners of the warrants will be forced to buy the stock at the strike price of 5.06.
So the max value of the warrants is probably around 6
but still a great way to trade
opinions on warrants?
moved a few shares into warrants, looked them up but they just seem like long-term options to me
if the mathematical error gets corrected by Judge and Judge keeps future royalty rate at 3.5%, we should see 5-7 pretty easily.
If the market puts a PE on earnings,VRNG announces new lawsuits, or a institutional investor puts down a few bucks, this will see over 10.
however, if this botched job doesn't get corrected, even with royalty rate, i see it hanging in the 3-4's. shorts have been very strong with such uncertainty
the point here i think is that these news reporters are lame....
they damn well know it's $500m but word it as "several"
they are downplaying this like crazy, google must be paying them under the table
agreed, we all have different investment ideas but people shouldn't be attacking personally.
LONG VRNG! and im thinking news Monday
I understand how ya feel Bucks, I bought a few times, mostly around a penny and now that 'whopping' 300k shares is worth nothing.
But hey, there's plenty of volatility these days, somewhere money can be made.
Wow, thank you scupscup! That was enlightening and love the blog now. I guess my guess avenue that I would press would be schools. Has there been any major effort to get schools to buy in?
I would even walk around myself to sell it!
I wonder what happened there....
But seriously, have schools been properly introduced to winning colours? There is so much graffiti, gum, and other crap to clean up, that it would take 100x WNBD's production to keep up.
Why not sell to schools?
Have public schools been offered Winning Brands? The amount of demand for this product could be HUGE. Schools are cleaned every night, that is millions of students' trash, gum, etc that has to be cleaned. My high school has a very high restriction on what products can be used and if Winning Brands is truly non-toxic, than what could be more perfect. I would personally walk around and propose this product.
I've lost a lot of money in this and I want it back damn it
