I seriously doubt Li is concerned with maintaining past company culture.
Thanks for posting .. Good Luck .. Go long LQMT !!
Incredible .. naysayers & whiners are LOYALLY here everyday ..that is amazing!!
Lighter & stronger ..will always be the trend ..especially autos & everything else.
Going back 2 years (April) ..the ER dates all show as I last posted.
The last 5 ER dates for LQMT landed between the day 6 and day 9 of those ER months.
LQMT shows ER date as 5/8 After Market on my thinkorswim (TD Ameritrade platform)
The only real measurement which can be used as due diligence (DD) since the birth of Liquidmetal Technologies ..is the rate of progress it is now making - which is obviously reaching into the mainstream. IMO
Motor Trend article on Liquidmetal Technologies @ http://www.motortrend.com/news/13-tech-trends-worth-watching-2018-sae-world-congress/
I'D like to see this post 'stickied" ..for sure.
Thank You Sir ..I looked briefly
I read the post twice on this board within the last week.
AAPL doesn't want the liability of building AAPL owned factories, employee compensation & insurance, lawsuits, etc ..probably why they are not going to buy especially out of their field of expertise.
They are putting our registered "brand name" on the line ..maybe the whole industry.
Posting the ad in MotorTrend was a nice step forward .. to me it says they are ready to take new orders ..Go Baby !!

I hope Prof. Li is keeping up with this (if it is true) .. came from a discussion board yesterday .. $219.00 was mentioned as a suspected Margin Call target..poster did not know positively.

"And if there is a margin call that results in collateral stock being sold, that is realizing capital gains and Elon Musk must then pay taxes on those capital gains. California's Tax rate is 13.3% and U.S. is 20%, so I am thinking 33.3% total (I might be wrong due to long term capital gains taxes being different).
So, for every $1m that the bank collect in margin, Elon Musk must sell more shares to pay for taxes at some point, and then more shares to pay the taxes on those capital gains. It comes out that Elon Musk will have to sell $500k for every $1m that the banks sell.
So, the shares he is using as collateral is 36% of Elon Musk's shares, but another 18% (or more) had better be kept for the tax bill. So, at least 54% of Elon Musks shares are committed to loans.
I doubt the tax people appreciate him living a life on borrowed money without realizing income and may not be too sympathetic if he doesn't have the money to pay his taxes."
Musical Chairs!! Ha
Just look at AAPL 5-8 days before the current ER (about where we are) ..this is quite typical price action so close to earnings.
Are you still in it? In or out .. easy
"For crying out loud" ..Have no Fear ..ER is almost here !!
Prof.Li is WAY ahead in medical & patents in the medical field .. that will help. IMO. This is only the VERY FIRST quarter of any measurable progress since OH.
Hahahaha ! We all brought our "gifts" .. now lets get some CAKE ...!
Think of this as a "surprise Birthday Party" !
I wouldn't put money in anything other.. where is yous at?
However .. a good contract or 3 will change the scenery ... IMO.
Institutions oftentimes invest others' money/funds & want verified results before investing - "past precedence" counts heavily .. for example - e.g .Ameritrade "margin account" will not lend money until a stock's valuation is over $5.00 a share..it is not worth the risk to them.
Hopefully we will get another piece of the confusing Jigsaw puzzle @ the ER .. I think that could be a reason there is no volume and no institutional buying yet. ANTICIPATION ..sucks!
Extracted from referenced, earlier post:
" Meanwhile, China's booming telecommunications-equipment makers, Huawei Technologies Co. and ZTE Corp., are facing growing pressure in the U.S.
Last week, the Commerce Department all but banned ZTE from buying components from U.S. suppliers, though much is still unclear about how sweeping enforcement will be.
The sanctions stemmed from U.S. allegations that ZTE broke the terms of a previous settlement, brokered after the company admitted to shipping U.S. telecoms equipment to Iran and North Korea, in breach of U.S. sanctions.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that the Justice Department is investigating whether Huawei also violated U.S. sanctions related to Iran. After that report, the company scrapped plans for a EUR500 million bond sale.
The actions come amid a broader Washington campaign to curb Huawei and ZTE over national-security fears that their equipment could be used to spy or disable communications. Both companies have said they pose no threat."

I totally agree ..the reasons for marketing this stuff is to make contact with the right companies ..and keep those in the loop - of progress ..not hardline selling ( before all is in place ). IMO
We must be looking at DD in different places..

Good question ..however with a decent ER news services will be all over it ..we will know in a couple of weeks. My fingers are crossed.
This is off the Zyris website featuring the Isolite dental system:

May be an "old dog" not wanting to learn "new tricks" ..no offense intended.
Looks to me like the Isolite 2 with our Liquidmetal Technologies formula may be huge within the Dental business:
Currently breaking through a resistance level on a daily chart ..LOOKIN' GOOD !
Im pretty sure Eontech's PPS would have been effected had they continued to be "in the market" during the transition.
A pretty Bullish move actually ..IMO
My question is why would China buy from Li this close to Earnings ...they will get spanked hard if they are wrong ..AAPL had great earnings many times and the stock still did a nosedive right afterwards ..hmm
