And the 'value' evaporates. And to think of all those shares Mr. Yates still holds...
You will be able to do much better than 29's here shortly.
Pulse must be out of cash by now. How will they keep the doors open? Isn't this a concern for you?
You need to be more creative. A least mix it up a little.
Driller, how long before we see .20's? Can you shed any light on the departure of Priest as an advisor?
Buy driller buy!! What an amazing opportunity. Pulse management rocks!!
Totally agree, Guy. Even when I generally disagree with a member on this board I still listen when they post something valid. In today's world, it is pretty uncommon for a web wide search to produce zero confirmation of any of this. Does that mean the press release isn't true? No! But it certainly isn't wrong to look deeper. If you want to pledge blind allegiance to everything a CEO or CFO spouts, well then don't blame anyone else when you find out later there were warning signs. I have seen too many corrupt people in this world to be that naive.
Of course I think most of us hope this is a real deal and something positive for Pulse.
True, it could be rebalancing. I'm curious on your opinion of the recent large Jan 15 option acquisition? Large bullish bet, or hedging another position? I know it's impossible to know for sure, but have there been any telling signs in trading the past few days?
Franklin Resources the largest institutional owner (aside from Toucan and Cognate) sold half of their shares last quarter.
Metro, you say "there is an almost 0% chance" what are you basing that on? Are you usually this trusting with penny stocks? Just curious...
Pulse has been in Mexico for a long time, just read any of their SEC filings. I'm not sure what to make of this. Anyone else confused?
Market is up, IBB is up, what's dragging nwbo down today?
"Shouldn't the company have stated that prior to yesterday or today?"
Why kill the AA speculation that has been rampant all year??
Apology accepted. Good luck to you too. Let's hope the upcoming Q has some good news about the C-water.
My experience has been similar to yours in Tucson at many retailers in my region.
First you tell me to “do some DD and have a clue what I’m talking about..” now you want me to share my information?? Maybe, if you hadn’t been so rude to me, a long term investor who has been posting on this board longer than you, I would consider it.
Follow your own advice and do some research.
Actually my question (not statement) was in direct response to Dave’s posting of three small recent deals that represent a few hundred new outlets. I agree that these 3 new deals are not negative, but was trying to make the point that the company does not release other information that is negative, like losing large chain store accounts that completely dwarf new convenience store listings.
When the big stores discontinue a product because it is not marketable, that should be a major cause for concern and in my opinion greatly outweighs the small positive benefit from adding a Circle K or RaceTrac.
But, to each his own...
I totally agree with your 2nd sentence. Here are a couple of examples of common use of the two words:
"pending your return" - awaiting
"outstanding bills" - not yet paid
I wonder if this is why Larry Smith seems so sure with his opinion that the 1st analysis hasn't occurred yet? I guess things are always much more clear in hindsight. I hope you don't have buckets of near team options. I know I have some strategy adjusting to do.
It appears there was an obvious clue provided by LP with the “pending” to “outstanding” wording change earlier this year. The clue was not related to the ‘superior/excellent’ alternative definition of the word outstanding.
Kamp, I hope you are right about Smashburger. Financing is a big concern right now. I feel like it will take something big (C-water deal with Walmart) or some unexpected positive news to right the ship.
Haha, maybe I should sell my 350 shares and move on...
A couple of things, Dave. First, you know I've been long since the beginning, so don't try to lump me in the same category as others that are admittedly trying to bash (without merit) to gain a lower entry point. Second, I do a lot of DD and just because I don't always share everything I know doesn't mean I can't share my overall opinion of the company.
You say:
RaceTrac?
Circle K?
Smashburger?
“All recent events and none of which is a negative event”.
Do you think the company issues a PR when retailers terminate agreements based on lackluster sales? Do you think the company has gained or lost more retail outlets this year? Why don’t you do some DD and get back to me.
Remember all of your posts last year about how you were so sure large institutions were shorting as part of their entry strategy. Was that based on facts or your opinion? (it wasn't even remotely true btw)
Well I'm not a basher, but evidently I'm the only one at this party that is concerned about things. This year I have become increasingly aware that the success of this company is becoming less and less likely.
Too many serious issues with the company that overshadow this "huge" new deal. Even the pumpers aren't buying at these levels.
Increased over what? 1st quarter of this year or YoY?
Yeah Yates has quite a record so far with his sales projections. If they had good news about new deals, etc., don't you think they would have shared it? No..I'm expecting more of the same from Yates and co. It is always fascinating to see what new "promising" development will be used in the Q to direct attention away from the disappointing sales numbers that are way short of prior projections. I haven't heard anything this year that makes me feel very good about the future of this company.
I must say that the management "interviews" by some on this board have been quite intriguing!
What do y'all think will happen if Walmart is a bust? Do you think our 21+ mil valuation takes a hit? Just curious..
There hasn't been any volume at these levels, so you might be the only person that feels the current price is a gift. I have a bad feeling about where this is heading, but I hope I'm wrong and you're right.
We haven't had a company update on the c-water in weeks. How many shares are you still holding?
I'm sure they just forgot to send out a PR about Walmart. Haha yeah...
No offense intended, sir. You are absolutely right, your holdings are none of my business. In fact, you disclosed a lot more than I was even asking. I previously read your claim to several million shares, so I was simply trying to get an idea for your activity (trading vs. long term investing). I hope for both our sakes we don't "lose it all" on this one. I think you stand to lose much more than me or anyone else on this board.
I do wish we would hear something soon on CW or the flagship products. Maybe you can do something about this? GLTA
Nothing in life is free imho. For any prospective investors reading this board, do your own DD. Many of the posters here don't adequately discuss the risk of investing in pink sheets let alone the risks associated with plsb.
Driller you have consistently posted your buys near .40 and at higher prices over the years. Either you have made some $ selling at higher prices or you are sitting on a large loss right now (considering the opportunity cost). I'm curious, which is it?
Interesting trading today. Are some of the "platinum" shareholders jumping off? Maybe a few in the know are expecting lower prices soon...
News out!! The Kroger deal is one of their largest signings so far. I'm buying more here. Stock price moves north in my opinion.
Yeen, I would check your local Albertsons. I bet they either have it now or will in the next few days. New Pulse facebook picture today of 12 rows of Cabana at an Albertsons in Louisville, CO.
I read it to mean they expect many of the outlets added in recent months (Albertsons, Savemart, HEB, etc,) to receive and begin to sell product in the 4th quarter.
Well, we know that Pulse products were only released on a very limited basis in a few select markets. Although it sounds like there has been some customer acceptance, I think management quickly identified a change was needed in labeling to make the product easier to understand (comments about forthcoming label changes). I personally hope they move away from gender specific to more general health appeal to facilitate impulse buying.
If nothing else, I guess it shows that management is very responsive to the situation and will make any necessary changes to improve and move the product. Remember, this is a brand new product and I think it's perfectly understandable they may need to make some changes on the fly. I believe they will get the kinks worked out and it will be a highly profitable product down the road.
It is really hard to compare Q2 to Q3 because we don't know the timing of product placement with the new outlets. I too was hoping for a higher revenue number, but I think Q2 may have been skewed higher due to ramped up sales for placement in all the Safeway stores nationwide. I'm not loading the boat here, but I think Q4 is a good time to start adding again. It sounds like the company is really serious about international distribution and licensing. If they were to bring on a country like Australia for example, it would help to offset the seasonality of sales in the US.
Distribution in Ireland??
What are you basing that on driller? It seems likely to me the additional retail outlets will contribute to sales growth.
Volume seems to be picking up..
Guy, it sounds like you did very well with your initial position. I should have sold some in the 1.40 and 1.30 range but convinced myself to hold for the long term. I really thought we would get some bigger news over the summer to keep us around $1 (China, Kroger, other large chains, anything)
I have been really disappointed with the lack of buying in the .60 to .80 range. There just hasn't been any interest whatsoever lately. I guess I wouldn't be surprised to see .50's or .40's. 3rd quarter earnings will either be really good to the upside, or confirm the price action we've seen the past few months. We need something to jumpstart this again. I feel sorry for all of the people who bought over $1...
