Sorry, I misreasd the PR. Thought it said Port Canaveral. I looked at it quickly on Friday.
In that case it is a direct competitor.
We will have to see how it plays out. Price/Value will be the determinent.
VDSC's market for one day Ferry Service to Bahamas is not impacted by Genting - they are 260 miles apart - that is a 4-5 hour drive - not happening.
VDSC Ferry Service market is Tampa, Orlando, Jacksomville, Daytona etc.
Again Genting is not a threat for one day cruises to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral.
There s more to this than PR's. Call it trust, believability, or confidence, but there s no conviction here. The longs are here, but outside of us, no one believes yet.
No one is looking at/VDSC until it delivers on the forward looking expectations set in the PR's - IMO.
This is going to take a while - like Sept /Oct earliest. Stop looking daily because it will only move you closer to the ledge.
Question is what competition VDSC has / will have in Port Canaveral. If you can fill a niche with little or no competition initially, you can be successful. Give people a low cost day trip with food and gambling and it will do well - IMO.
Doesn't matter. You want to go to the Bahamas for the day and have a chance to gamble on the way, you drive an hour get on a ferry, eat, gamble, go on the beach, come back on the ferry and eat and gamble again.
Sounds pretty good to me. I have driven from Orlando to Port Canaveral for a cruise. Not a big deal.
I don't think the Miami ferry will have too much impact at all. It is 260 miles from Miami to Port Canaveral.
Within 150 miles of Port Canaveral you have Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville plus smaller places like Ocala, Gainesville, St. Augustine, Daytona etc.
I think there are plenty of potential clients within that area to fill up this ferry. Maybe 2 - who knows.
Your caution on forward looking statements is duly noted. There is obvious caution on the part of the market here. Seems like they are waiting for the implementation side. However, make no mistake, if Peter DOES IMPLEMENT and begins to drive and report actual revenue - this is a beast of a stock.

This is all great - we have control of the operations from booking thru the entire cruise and we don't have the expense of having to "buy" and finance a vessel.
Great model. There are a number of vessels available in this way and it minimizes our fixed cost component.
IMO anyway.
