Mainly good news, except the rise in cost per grams. But that's more of a growing pains item in a new industry while rushing to meet demand. A good problem to have IMHO and one that will be rectified in future quarters. Liking what i see.
I hope you hit your goal and enjoy your retirement - I think all of us on these boards are hoping to hit our similar numbers in 2018 and join you in retirement.
3-5 at the end of this quarter is possible
Thanks for posting. More good news, stock barely moves. Sooner or later the ziggy cloud needs to clear away from this stock.
I needed comic relief on this sector wide pullback today. thanks.
$5.92 for me, we both were moving on this around the same time. I like gravy on my potatoes, and agree, 20 is easily reachable on its own. M&A - now we're talking real money - I really don't expect the stocks we own now staying in their current state at midyear 2018 - these will all be buying, merging, acquiring while the getting is good and cheaper.
i wonder if we're brothers of different mothers!
another nice pop today. I'm liking the trend here.
aphqf is one of the quietest boards out here, much like the stock. I like their slow steady focus, not hyping news, etc. This is one of those stocks that when news comes in this time of M&A, news will be big. I have to believe that as time goes on, either the big 4 or 5 in Canada will start combining, or larger stocks will come in and scoop them up. Just waiting til then quietly with this one.
a general question to the board -
if the deal with cannimed falls through (and both stocks have run up because of that proposed takeover), what's the best guess on any retracing while the news is digested?
Aurora is not the same company it was when the takeover was made, due to other partnerships now in place, so how significant would the takeover collapsing be now?
Aurora wants cannimed for medical, but there are other options out there - so I assume any dip would be momentary while Aurora regroups and sets their sights on the next target.
Just wondering what others think would happen in a bad news scenario.
I don't think the deal will fall through, but I like to be prepared. I would buy on the dip if that were to happen.
i don't mind getting my 3 kings day presents a couple days late when they're like this...
Thanks - good to see good news emerging on this stock
Seems a premature judgement to me. Products are usually discounted in the early part of the year. In a business like this where Namaste needs to build customers and loyalty, the move could also be a means of strengthening that by under-cutting competitor prices. I'm not ready to assume the darkest or the brightest just yet based on a sale.
The impact os Sessions' decision to rescind the Cole Memo in the US can't be getting lost on conservatives in Canada who might have otherwise obstructed or wished to delay passage of full legalization. Sessions is getting bad press from every corner, the public doesn't like it, the Democrats don't like, Republican Governors don't like it, the US Pot business leaders don't like it... and the list goes on. Sessions also helped the passing now of legalization in Canada. Trudeau's party can use this moment as a warning to conservatives wishing to delay passage.

Wasn't sure this was posted yet
at this stage, i'm not flipping in large part since that takeover news could be announced at any point on from now. Too enticing and would be too big a move to miss. So I'll just settle into a chair with a single malt and watch this one for a while.
any guesses as to whether Aurora now, with this market cap, how long before a major drug or beverage company takes the plunge? There's now only a few sticking their heads up above the LPs in Canada, one of which already has gotten that notice. Aurora is now a big enough fish to get the attention of larger sharks swimming by.
good luck to you as well, we're all just hear to make money any way we can!
the bulk of my holding are canadian and australian. However, i think this is a good time while the focus shifts to canada from the us, to snatch those stocks that the canadian players like aprhia may wish to acquire or partner with down the road. aphria wanted to be in the us, pulled out, which was a great move, but i see Mr Sessions time in DC as limited. Trump is easily swayed, and once he sees that canada and stocks like aphria are owning an industry just north of our border, his america first view will dovetail with others pushing to get sessions out the door. Too much money in play, money always wins out over ethics, morals, party, and prejudice.
I disagree. I think there was a broad instinctive panic. everyone got taken out (except Australia due to their good news that came out at the same time as the Sessions news). But that was an unthinking panic. Stocks not tied to the US are already bouncing back today. US money is shifting now to Canadian stocks more than likely. This is in the end good for holders or Aphria. It' also a great time to buy US stocks, as the reaction back at Sessions is huge. His position is unenforceable. In the end, either add on the dip or wait it out. The fundamentals haven't changed.
100% agreed. first the panic flush out hitting all stocks. Then the shift of money to Cananda, Australia. Then the reasoned look back at US and the fact there is no way Sessions will be able to enforce in the way he wishes. Besides looking like a fool, sabotaging for the short term a burgeoning business, Sessions achieved nothing yesterday but speed up the inevitable.
i bought more mpxef today thanks to the pixie from dixie. He can try to stand there with his thumb in the dike pretending he's holding back the MJ sea from washing over him but that's delusional. I also wrote both my senators asking them to publicly denounce sessions and start pushing harder on legislation. Jobs, taxes, medically prudent, helps solve the opioid crisis, and should not have been criminalized to begin with. That's the argument storm washing over Sessions now, he roiled the sea, and now he'll bring about at a faster pace what he was hoping to prevent - legalization at a federal level. Thanks Jeff!
if i didn't own some us mj stocks, i'd lobby to keep sessions around...
I also wonder how much the new etfs played into today. They all own about 20 key stocks, people panicking and dumping on the sessions news hits anyone in the etf, broad sword takeout. As more money goes into these etfs, these swings could be pretty wild going forward until there's more maturity in what people are investing in and what advisors are telling their clients - otherwise it's emotional sell and buy on news without much thought.
all i know is, sessions is out on a limb sawing away behind him.
Companies that are not dependent upon the US are getting caught up in the selling = buying opportunity.
Sessions just ensured today he won't serve out the year - too many companies will be beating on congress' door now asking why on no evidence sessions can sabotage their industry.
I believe the reason this continues to lag is skepticism of the hops derived cbd claim. Unless Isodiol proves it's possible, investors are on the sidelines or those that were in the last run up on the PR are selling as days go by.
australia also legalized exports making aurora's investment in auscann more valuable

from your lips to the trading floor...
20 would be nice, my 27k shares would be feeling pretty happy about that!
This is turning into Game of Stoners! I think we know who will sit in the iron throne in the end.
the rhetoric is getting more heated, the accusations more acute - last thing I want to see is any protracted legal action occur. At this crucial point in time, neither company should have distractions - focus should be on exploiting the emerging cannabis market. Cannimed needs to end this and get in line, for their shareholders and for their future owners and their shareholders.
happy to help. let us know how the brew is when you try it!
Sideswipe - I was remembering this PR from July last year:
https://isodiol.com/isodiol-international-inc-signs-definitive-licensing-agreement-canopy-growth-corporation-canadian-international-distribution/
Canopy Growth is the world’s premier cannabis company that operates a collection of diverse brands and curated strain varieties, supported by over half a million square feet of indoor and greenhouse production capacity. Under this licensing agreement, Canopy Growth will have the right to manufacture and distribute the Company’s “Pot-O-Coffee“ and “Pot-O-Tea” branded marijuana infused single serve K-Cupproducts in Canada and certain other markets internationally as federal regulations allow. Licensed products include caffeinated and de-caffinated product lines as well as Isodiol’s single serve “Pot-O-Coco”. In addition to the Canadian rights, Canopy Growth shall have the right of first refusal to sell the “Pot-O” brand products in any territory outside of the US, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
they are still partnered with canopy, correct, for the pot o coffee distribution?
starting to run, finally. I would have thought due to its presence on etf's it would have been rising with the rest all day.
this stock remains a puzzle to me. Looks great on paper, should be getting a broad look as a go to stock, yet continued selling. with all the other stocks that have also diluted why is this one struggling as much as it is?
i've been buying the partners of the big 3 since last year - seemed to be a no brainer that if I liked canopy or aurora or aphria, why wouldn't i buy into some of their partners on the premise the tide will float all boats.
nxttf seems well positioned, revenue yoy looks great, international distro - what's not to like
the cannmed pr today is also good news if of course the takeover goes through as we expect.
check the latest PR this morning with an update on Aurora sky.
quite possible and likely - i track 21 mj stocks, all but four are down today.
that's what it looks like, plus the two stocks with a notice of pending news. Not sure how reliable that site is, but the only one with more of an explanation found thus far beyond just selling.
Pending news? Interesting to see.
this speaks to all the reasons and stocks involved...
