Good to see he's in complete control of his faculties as well as able and qualified to diagnose others. Sad to see the alleged concern is an afterthought.
Well said. And here's to a win win .....not to be too cliche. And sense a cause for having to weed through duplicate posts though.
iMO if no similar put activity in NW's other large U.S. Biotech holding Prothena then I'd think the Oct puts are not NW's.
If he did then binging might be believable as well as understandable......
It's been hard to pass off as late night binging by Woodford for a while and apparently he's not run out of cash.
Mav, Noted your bolded portions as well. An addictional read on sourcing L from U.S. is NW is again proving out their methodology for transportation of the frozen vaccine this time over longer distance and through customs. Checking another box for themselves and possibly regulatory entities if you will.
Yes a high percentage do expire out of the money. Just dabbling with near term out of money calls worked well in April and June. Different dynamic in play now for October. See you've picked up on the some of the different board dynamics welcome to the party.
Analysts assign more value to what they perceive to be new potential disruptive technologies/science. NW is not viewed as such and is viewed with disdain by some.
Asta, Yes knowing Germany has been producing more vaccine for HE than anyone thought I think it plausible. Or the the other way to look at it is Germany would be first to halt screening for a DMC approval recommendation. If DMC recommendation is what is occurring then a NW's L validation could also substantiate BP partnering on Direct trials. In any case we are due a PR from NW
(Woodford totally unhedged was attempted humor)
Universal instruction from patent attorneys "make the claims as broad as possible." And yes I can attest litigation takes years. Seems NW has allegedly submitted the required paperwork wasn't a PR promised?
Still traveling and catching up good to see things being thrashed out. Quick thoughts patent office does issue worthless patents not saying NW recent filing is worthless, but agree with Beach it will likely be scaled back some. Better than a patent is Trade Secret "secret sauce" so agree with Sentiment manufacturing is key in respect to Direct. Have also suspect CI engagement after phase I. I may be popping for PM access on ihub sooner than I expected.... Some of my best posts have been deleated.
Beach, I'm conflicted. Since I'm on a roll of sorts I don't know if I should divulge if I also have October calls or not.....
True. But I do know from some trial participants they did not obtain enough tumor material to produce the full allotment of L.
As for the IL-8 claim. Earlier this year method B for Direct was identified as being more effacious. IL-8 is an indicator of a the more effacious treatment. This is of particular interest and I would think NW is working to optimize Direct's automation to increase its horsepower.
Let's take a step back. My comment about banging heads against the wall was unfair to you and was not directed at you or your inquiry. My apologies. I'm traveling today with some patience on your end I'll attempt to answer.
Ok Schnauzer, in regards to the cranial area (before some here hit the wall with theirs) if you stick with the premise that swelling of brain is not a good thing. Add in the fact the surgeon cannot always resect most ot the tumor then swelling is a problem. Only takes two grams of tumor to make L and sometimes getting 2 grams can be a challenge.
Also interesting the filing date predates Woodford's initial investment by about two weeks. Does make one think....
Asta, started to reply a couple of times only to lose what I had written on my iPad when I got interupted. So I may be brief here. First let me thank the board for not coming down on me for not plunking a shrimp tail off Jim Cramer's cranium when the bald headed opportunity presented itself a week ago Saturday.
Not in Europe, but wife is science educated and her business deals with same regulatory bodies. Her insight is historically it has been easier for new drug approvals in Europe (not really a revelation). IMO knowing Germany appears to have been producing more vaccine for HE then anyone was aware of it's plausible the Germans are pursuing approval for L. One would hope the agencies are working in consort as the bar is not too high for GBM. Hopefully we see soon. (revelation for Mav. Investment in NW could be viewed as bet against wife's business. And in hindsight probably a good thing for me the "Carlos Danger" alias was not available on ihub if my hidden online identity were exposed. Talk about Woodford being totally unhedged......)
I'm not an attorney, but deal with attorneys on a regular basis. I was recently involved in a patent infringement trial our lead counsel and co-counsel were woman. The ability of quality legal talent to grasp what would be for most foreign technical concepts can be eye opening. I sense NW is graced with such talent and we are too online glad to see some latitude from posters in respect to the latter. IMO not good to be overwrought with caution I do understand the reason for caution. I have 20 or so patents in technical area and think the melding of automation and this science holds great promise (see post 37108) to coax cells to do things and do it better outside of their normal environment. Hence my interest with Direct and the automated production. Incidentally we were victorious in the patent suit.
Part of my surreal week around this space two weeks ago involves helping chemo recipient with penguin cold caps to retain their hair look this up online. Second time in four years I've done this worked the first time. This time will be more intensive regimen adriamycin is one of the chemo's for those,of you who know chemo. I'll offer my insights to anyone here who would like to discuss (I'll sign up for PM)
As for SP assuming no squeeze $30 with full approval for L and double it with two partners for phase II direct trials. Not too brief
Wow interesting evening to say the least. I'll agree with Flip with BMS (between you two using BMS I'll refrain from using BMY) in the U.S. and would like to see second partner in Europe which originally thought Astra, but one can make case for Roche or others. If one or both happen it could be in conjunction with financing.
(I'm going with loose translation of Kerl as "Dude")
Yes, but I think they would need/want to prove out the shipping container and for Europe DHL service for themselves and/or the regulatory entities.
Do you think shipments to England were to test and prove out frozen delivery system? I do. Rember poster lambasting Kings inability to manufacture vaccine several months back......
Sehr gut!......Kerl
They're not in it for the therapy???
Thinking same about financing.
Yes, and he did get the big house too.
Lunch with Jim Cramer this past Saturday (Jim dined with his daughter* and me with my party) at the WWII museum in New Orleans. Perhaps Jim will need recheck his radar screen soon for NWBO if radar is no longer jammed? Do agree the museum is worth visiting it more than supassed expectations. Food at American Grill surprisingly good too.
*Don't do Twitter often but was glad to see on Mr. Cramer's account his daughter is at Tulane and he was being dad......and shame on me for any preconceptions about Wall Street types that may have briefly crossed my mind. Almost got an inadverdant photobomb under the P51.
Surreal week in and around this space for me on many levels. Most notably for this venue made new contacts in biotech which so far only reaffirmed what many here know the efforts are in targeted therapies and no one is developing any new chemo therapy drugs.
Try a induction cooktop.
FWIW - Document properties for the original PDF showed last change on 8/10.
More smoke than substance. Californians getting proficient at clearing smoke in various ways thanks.
Hello RK,
It appears the Duke study is not currently recruiting? Your posts earlier about chemo being a potential adjunct for Direct and more recent discussion about TMZ and L are of interest. Not a fan of chemo (not a bold statement) but certainly open minded and will change my mind if chemo can be used effectively
Once again discretion used in selecting this time a water soluble beverage is appreciated. The popular culture connotation for chosen water soluble beverage is noted.
Must say it has been pretty compelling so far and don't see that dissipating certainly worth the price of admission. Can always dig some well done high octave stuff in a finale....
Did see that. I'll take discretion with medical/study significance over discretion.
Fair enough. That's why I had to hedge my "spoiler" position with it going either way.
Could most of 8 who passed since ASCO be from method A and they're showing a little discretion for those method A who remain?
Thanks for using water and not grapefruit juice in your example. What's Woodford drinking?
I know it's a poster presentation and spoiler can go either way.
Ok. Not a long wait to find out. Would rather have a webcast on this one too hope the charts are not fuzzy.....
Agree. Bosch has been the one to present new information on Direct. The absence of A and B differentiation opens it up to speculation, but LP doing so likely would been a spoiler. In Bosch's poster session this evening I would expect further details on A and B.
TGW, thanks always appreciate adults in the room no matter their stance. And can assure you humor will remain in play. GLTU
Then I take it you are not a plaintiff in any class action action....
