True. And like you said before, worst case you can just think of it as donating 100k to a good cause. How wonderful to be in a financial position like that. Congrats!
Not at all. I doubt you have much on the line at this point. Maybe your experience with options earlier this year has something to do with it?
If I made that kind of money, I would be laughing all the way to the bank.
No worries, we'll be back at $9 before you know it.
Anyone who thinks share price doesn't matter for a company like Northwest is either intentionally trying to trick folks or really doesn't have a clue. Nwbo survives with equity capital raises and the depressed share price could severely limit their ability to continue funding Cognate at current levels.
Well considering the substantial nwbo cash burn, and the fact that only a minimal amount is going to the clinics, doesn't it make you wonder where all the money is being spent? Oh yeah, Cognate.
Equally unpleasant, thinking about two more years of dilution at current and lower price levels. Get ready for more of those super sweet warrant deals. Isn't that what started the while shorting mess? Thinking it might be time to head for the exits.
Hard to believe the stock might finish the year where it started.
Flip,
I always appreciate your posts. I would like to better understand your passion regarding Direct. It is very evident in some of your previous posts:
"Humanity awaits the phase II multiple injection DCVAX-Direct trial that begins this fall. It will not stumble, fail or falter. This labor of love born from suffering will prevail. I do not offer my humble opinion. I give you my absolute belief."
and
"Patience. The next DCVax-Direct update will be the most impressive thus far. After that, by February or early March 2015, NWBIO and MD Anderson physicians/scientists/investigators will almost certainly present initial final trial results. I'll fly to that presentation -- neither rain, sleet or snow will keep me from my appointed duty. By that time, the multiple injection trial will also have 4-6 months under its belt. NWBO management will have to take beta-blockers to hide their excitement by that time. IMHO."
There have been several posts recently, by well respected folks on this board, encouraging caution and tempering of expectations regarding the Direct trial. You seem very adamantly opposed to any of these differing opinions. Your unwavering opinion about Direct is quite curious, especially considering the very preliminary (and limited) results that have been released thus far. Also, I am very curious about the bolded comments below made by Pyrr. Can you shed any light to help me better understand your perspective? Thanks
Pyrr - "I know you have a personal connection to seeing Direct get to patient's in need quickly, but it must be tested thoroughly first, and prove itself better than other up and coming treatments."
You can count on it. The roaches will scatter when the lights come on. Until then, have a great day.
No news on Direct? With exposure in the Post and LA Times this week, I can't possibly think of a better time to release good news on Direct or L for that matter!
The spotlight is squarely on the company, good news right now would further expose AF's deception, many prospective investors may be investigating nwbo for the first time after reading the paper, and on and on..
It leaves me really questioning if the Direct data is in fact as positive as many around here hope.
Yes!!! Nasdaq here we come. Great day for Pulse. Many more days like this to come. Congrats
I hope not too many folks got suckered into buying more shares the past couple of days. Sad that penny stocks are so easily manipulated. Congrats to the regulars for making a few dollars this week. .34's up????
Yep you nailed it. Austin and I want to spread FUD and hopefully it will pick up enough steam that AF or a hedgie reading this board will publish a negative article on the topic (again). I'm guessing that we have been invested longer than you and have more to lose.. No hard feelings though, I think everyone is a little edgy lately.
Totally agree Austin. And the delayed trial and notions of sizable nwbo funded treatments in the UK doesn't help with my desire to dismiss these concerns.
I understand what you are saying, but it still isn't clear to me if approval is sometimes granted with failure of the primary measure.
Thanks for the info. With the focus and emphasis placed on the amended powering of the L trial with regard to PFS, I was left with the impression that the primary measure outcome will either make or break us. That leaves me wondering what would happen if PFS is similar to SOC but OS shows a benefit.
This might be a stupid question, sorry in advance if it is. Is it common for a drug that fails the primary endpoint of its clinical trial, but shows an improvement over SOC as measured by a secondary endpoint, to receive full approval? Thanks
Where is AF when we need someone to blame?
For some reason I don't believe you.
Thanks Highwayman. Good work!
Anyone else wondering why she didn't report anything new on Direct? It is unblinded after all...
When we break .32 how low will she go?
The decrease in lemonade case sales for 2014 2nd quarter were not weather related.
It is a good question. Since case sales of lemonade (plsb's main product currently) have decreased in 2014 from 2013, with increased outlets, I think many folks would be concerned regardless. The second part of your question, as to why this is happening, is exactly what I would like management to discuss.
I've been here since the beginning pal, and wasnt looking for a quick buck. Actually traveled to Denver in 2011 to find the lemonade at a Jenny's market (remember that first listing) to make sure everything was legit. Seems like spin is the clear goal with many of the messages around here lately.
The most important thing I have learned in my many years of investing is that there will likely come a time when you simply have to face reality, cash out, and walk away. I'm close to that point now.
I actually don't hate this stock as much as has been implied by some on this board. When I make an investment, I do hold management to a certain standard. When predictions are made, I expect results and at a minimum, an explanation when they aren't met. I have a low tolorance for BS and have been pretty upset lately at the lack of trasparancy. I invested here because I believed in the products. I have been extremely disappointed in the execution by management and very concerned with some of the events that I consider major red flags in any investment. I have decided that this quarter's results will be the deciding factor in my investment here. I'll probably wish that I had sold with Metro after Q2, but figure I'll give plsb one more chance to get on track. Glta
Yes, there has been manipulation of this stock. It occurred mainly between Jan and Mar of 2013 and appears to have been a coordinated effort by a group of stock pumpers on this board. In addition others used several investment research/recommendation organizations including NBT Equities, Goldman Research and Northland Securities to issue glowing recommendations with what appears to be highly exaggerated future valuations of PLSB. These entities received compensation in the form of cash and stock for their services.
Yes, I'm sure the coconut water will be a blockbuster hit in Canada, especially in the dead of winter.
Sure, but I'll let you break it down. Please review the company quarterly and annual filings and shareholder letters over the past two years. Pay close attention to the forward looking statements and then compare them to actual sales. Please report back if you think it was over promising or under achieving.
It seems odd to me that certain folks, some with over 30 years in the beverage industry, were so far off with the sales projections over the past two years. Combine that with several of the company paid for "investment reports" (just look at the top of the ihub page for a couple of examples) and it starts to become pretty clear what happened here. It appears certain folks (some on this board) made a boatload of money on the way up and again on the way down.
You never know when someone will decide to look under the hood a little further.
I wouldn't buy at anything over .20 right now based on financials, sales/revenue, current cash position (I think major dilution is possible) poor management and various other reasons. I think another hard winter will just about close the book on this one.
What if I stop asking questions about the disappointing case sales, missed projections, management missteps, etc., and instead shake my POM POM's and focus on future deals that must be on the horizon with Walmart, Starbucks, and other multinational companies, as well as buyout possibilities from the likes of Coke, or Dr. Pepper? Would that be a better use of my time and find favor with you?
I wouldn't buy above .20.
Case sales were down YoY for 2nd quarter, so I don't know what you are referring to. Are you making a prediction for 3rd quarter?
The management at Pulse has mentioned they are pursuing a deal with Walmart to sell their C-water, so I'm not sure what your point is??
Everything must be fine, Driller says it is so. BTW Driller, you were wrong about 2nd quarter sales increasing YoY.
Similarly, Plsb management hasn't yet achieved any of their publically stated sales projections going back to the inception. Hype hype hype with minimal results. That is why new "deals" don't move the needle anymore. Investors are fed up with the BS.
Financing terms typically become less favorable as a company's financial position deteriorates. Just saying..
Take a look at the 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year chart. Yes, the stock has been tanking. On the bright side, maybe you are the only person buying at the bottom.
2014 case sales question. So 2014 2nd quarter lemonade sales decreased 17.5% from 2013 2nd quarter. Evidently this occurred with the product available in 6,000 more locations than we had in 2013. Any ideas or opinions as to what happened? Please save the cheerleading, I am hoping for something constructive here.. Thanks
Of course, Jane. It is going to be huge, absolutely huge!! And with Starbucks to follow, I can hardly wait. It should only take a few more years for things to improve. Of course that requires an assumption that the company will still be around in a few years...small details.
It is amazing the effort that some on this board have gone to in order to keep this propped up. I don't see it continuing much longer.
Still waiting for news on the Walmart C-water deal. I think the Walmart deal is a bust. What do you think driller?
Additional pulp would make them more visually attractive...
