David Brock Blames NewsMax for Exposing Hillary
Right-wing writer turned Clinton apologist David Brock blames NewsMax.com for exposing the fact that a key claim by Hillary Clinton in her book "Living History" is contradicted by her chief defender, Sidney Blumenthal.
During a heated exchange on Sunday on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country," Brock attacked WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg for spreading what he called "NewsMax baloney" about the Clinton and Blumenthal books.
The "baloney" in question was Hillary's claim that she was "barely speaking" to her husband after learning the truth about Monica Lewinsky. The problem is, Blumenthal reports in his own book that at the same point in time he overheard the Clintons "bantering" back and forth in a manner that showed they were still "working as a team."
Well, in this case we plead guilty. NewsMax was indeed the first to unearth the bombshell Blumenthal passage amidst his 800-plus pages of pro-Clinton spin - just hours after Hillary's book excerpts were reported by the Associated Press.
What seemed to irk Brock most was that the NewsMax exclusive was picked up immediately by top talkmeister Rush Limbaugh, and followed the next day by the Washington Post and hundreds of other news outlets nationwide.
In fact, that particular bit of "NewsMax baloney" precipitated a deluge of questions about the credibility of Mrs. Clinton's account that continue today.
We're just pleased that Mr. Brock has decided to give credit where credit is due.
The full "Scarborough Country" exchange between Brock and Malzberg went like this:
MALZBERG: There [are] two books written, one by a "Washington Post" reporter, one by Sid Blumenthal, and they both...
BROCK: Oh, come on.
MALZBERG: ... and they both repeat that. So how can you say it's the only version?
BROCK: Don't give me your NewsMax baloney.
SCARBOROUGH: Actually, hold on, guys. It's not -- NewsMax is OK, but I thought that was Sidney Blumenthal that talked about them...
BROCK: NewsMax.
SCARBOROUGH: ... speaking two days after these revelations.
BROCK: No, no. NewsMax started this whole chain of propaganda last Wednesday morning. And then it went into Rush Limbaugh...
MALZBERG: Is it false or is it true? Is it false or true that those books contradict Hillary?
BROCK: They do not.
MALZBERG: Oh, come on. Now you're being disingenuous.
(CROSSTALK)
SCARBOROUGH: OK, OK. Let's -- we're going to -- hold on, everybody. . . . It may have been on NewsMax. It was also, though, in Sidney Blumenthal's book. Certainly not a member of the vast right wing conspiracy. But we'll take that up and much, much more when we return on SCARBOROUGH COUNTRY. [End of Excerpt]

The article I posted earlier is correct. It says "CLINTON WAS THE FIRST ELECTED PRESIDENT TO BE IMPEACHED. Although Adrew Johnson was the 1st president to be impeached, he was not an elected president.
We keep it fair and accurate in the NOLIB ZONE!!!!

Sean Hannity Exclusive with Clinton Accuser
Bombshell Clinton sexual assault accuser Juanita Broaddrick is ending four years of self-imposed media silence today, with her first major television interview since going public with her explosive charges in 1999.
NewsMax.com has learned that Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" star Sean Hannity snagged the blockbuster exclusive with the woman whose account turned Bill Clinton into the first elected president in U.S. history to be impeached.
Broaddrick hasn't spoken publicly since February 24, 1999, when she appeared on NBC and said Bill Clinton forced himself on her sexually.
Hannity left for Van Buren, Arkansas - Broaddrick's hometown - late Sunday for a Monday sit-down with the Clinton accuser. Fox will air its bombshell broadcast on Tuesday night, just as Sen. Hillary Clinton sits down on CNN's "Larry King Live" to discuss her new book, "Living History."
Broaddrick's decision to return to the spotlight could be particulary problematic for the New York Senator. Mrs. Clinton has never commented on the Broaddrick allegations, and Mr. Clinton has refused to publicly deny it.
In a brief phone call to Hannity's radio show on Friday, Broaddrick was clearly concerned that Mrs. Clinton's book was an effort to rewrite the history of her husband's tawdry past.
"She knew very well what happened to me and turned away from it," she complained to the conservative talker.
Though mainstream reporters have downplayed Broaddrick's sensational allegation, without her decision to come forward and tell her story, Bill Clinton would have likely never been impeached.
Two months before she went public, Broaddrick's sensational allegation was documented and stored by House impeachment managers in a secret evidence room on Capitol Hill. The account so powerful that it convinced 40 waivering moderate Republicans who otherwise favored censure to vote to impeach Clinton.
To hear what Juanita Broaddrick has to say about Hillary and her book, tune into Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes," Tuesday, 9 p.m. EDT
HILLARY’S DEBUT
Today it’s Hillary, Hillary, Hillary. Hillary this. Hillary that.
Yup, it’s the publication date for Hillary’s “Living History” book. Baba Wawa interviewed The Hildabeast last night. There will not be one network or cable newscast today without a Hillary story. Today we find that The Smartest Woman in the World is also The Biggest News Story in the World.
There are just a few things you need to remember while listening to all the hype today:
First, Hillary Clinton is a liar …a pathological liar. This means that Hillary will actually tell a lie when the truth would serve her better.
She says that she believed her “husband” when the stories about Monica Lewinsky first came out. If so …that would make her the only compos mentis adult in the entire United States who did. Come on, folks. Hitlary knows Bill better than most. To buy her story that she didn’t know the stories about Bill and Monica were true is to imagine Hillary to be a complete idiot. She’s not an idiot. Dangerous? Yes. Idiot? No.
Oh … and let’s address this “I have no intention of running for president in 2008” nonsense. Saying “I have no intention” is not the same thing as saying “I won’t.” There’s ample room for wiggle room there. It’s the best possible answer she could give. Believe me, she’s running.
Wait! There is one thing that could derail Hitlary’s plans. She could lose her Senate reelection race in 2006. She absolutely MUST run for reelection in order to keep here platform for the presidential run. To do that she’ll have t lie to the voters of New York … give them that “I promise to serve the full six-year term” nonsense. Her problem won’t be with the lie. She does that very well. Her problem will be getting the people of New York to believe her lie.
One more thing. Hillary didn’t write this book. If you go blow (pardon the expression) $28 on this book you will be paying for the work of about four ghost writers who’s names you have never heard. Hillary read the book and suggested changes … but she didn’t write it. Expect her to lie about this too.

Telltale Photo Proves Hillary Rage a Lie
A photo showing Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton frolicking on a sailboat together during the time Sen. Clinton now claims she was shunning her husband has deepened doubts about the credibility of her book, "Living History."
Seen above aboard Walter Cronkite's sailboat on August 25, 1998, the photo was snapped as Cronkite took his guests for an outing off Martha's Vineyard. The excursion took place just ten days after Mrs. Clinton claimed she had banished her husband from family activities after he admitted the truth about Monica Lewinsky.
Instead of looking abandoned and forlorn, Mr. Clinton strikes a triumphant pose, standing in back of his smiling wife with his fist pumped into the air.
In her book, however, Mrs. Clinton insists that while she and her family were vacationing at the Vineyard, "I could barely speak to Bill, and when I did it was a tirade."
"Buddy the dog came along to keep Bill company. He was the only member of our family who was still willing to."
But as this telltale photo indisputably reveals, the above statement is incontrovertibly false.
Blumenthal's Book Contradicts Hillary's
In her new book, "Living History," Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., says she was so angry after her husband admitted having sex with Monica Lewinsky that she barely spoke to him.
But her account differs sharply from that of her chief defender, Sidney Blumenthal, who says in his own recently released book, "The Clinton Wars," that Bill and Hillary were "bantering" back and forth just two days after the silent treatment supposedly started.
In excerpts of her book covered by the Associated Press, Mrs. Clinton claims that on Aug. 15, 1998, after her husband confessed that his relationship with Lewinsky was "more serious than he had previously acknowledged," she felt "nothing but profound sadness, disappointment and unresolved anger."
"I could barely speak to Bill, and when I did, it was a tirade," the former first lady insists.
But Blumenthal says that on Aug. 17, 1998 - immediately after Mr. Clinton told the nation that he had lied to protect his wife and daughter, the president called him to ask about his reaction to the speech.
After telling Clinton he thought it went "all right," Hillary got on the line. "I told her the same," wrote the former White House aide.
After they spoke, Mrs. Clinton handed the phone to James Carville, who was also on hand to gauge the damage. But Blumenthal says he could still hear the voices of others in the room.
"I could hear the President and Hillary bantering in the background," the top Clinton spinmeister recalled on page 465 of his scandal tome.
Blumenthal says he was relieved to discover that the first couple "were still working as a team."
"Without that, nothing was possible," he said.
Hillary, however, says that she was still giving Bill the cold shoulder even after they left the White House for a vacation on Martha's Vineyard.
"While on the island, she felt 'nothing but profound sadness, disappointment and unresolved anger,'" Mrs. Clinton wrote, according to the AP. "Buddy, the dog, came along to keep Bill company," Hillary claims. "He was the only member of our family who was still willing to."

October 1998: Senate Democrats Signed Letter
Urging Clinton to Attack Saddam Over WMDs!
June 5, 2003
Before you even read this piece, I want you to open a new e-mail and send the link to everyone in your address book. Yes, it's that big - and it's the kind of news you never would have heard about without the so-called new media. I've posted here a letter from the Senate Committee on Armed Services to President Bill Clinton on October 9, 1998. It reminds the president of the February resolution authorizing military force if Saddam failed to comply with UN Security Council resolutions "concerning the disclosure and destruction of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction."
The letter concludes: "[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." You can see who signed the letter in the attacked copy, but among them are the following Senate Democrats: Levin, Lieberman, Lautenberg, Dodd, Kerrey, Feinstein, Mikulski, Daschle, Breaux, Johnson, Inouye, Landrieu, Ford and Kerry.
I guess this letter has to be a forgery - either that or the senators who signed the letter must be lying because Clinton wanted to bomb Iraq to distract from impeachment. If you liberals are to be consistent on this, that's what you have to say. This letter doesn't leave a grain of doubt (neither do Clinton's speeches from the era, which we've posted here), as to whether or not Saddam had and sought these weapons. Many of these same people are out there mindlessly parroting the mantra that President Bush lied about WMDs, made up intelligence data and dragged the nation into war under false pretenses.
Yet they are on record urging the use of force based on what? The very intelligence data they now say is total B.S. manufactured by the White House! Not one of them called it a fake at the time. In fact, they were ready to go to war because the information on Saddam's weapons scared the quorum out of them. You would not be told this before the EIB Network came along, and started doing the job the mainstream press used to do in the old days. The left thinks they can still get away with burying the past and changing what they believe from one day to the next, because they have all the news sources in their back pocket. But they can't - not anymore, not with us here.

Making book on Hillary
By R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr.
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Published June 6, 2003
Frankly, when I heard Hillary Rodham Clinton had signed a deal to write a book for $8 million I doubted she would write a word of it. For one thing, whenever Hillary testifies she lies. Any prosecutor who has ever pursued her knows that, and any publisher willing to fork out $8 million for a book wants it to be at least plausible. For another thing, when she published her last book, "It Takes a Village," she did not write the book — and, of course, lied about that. She claimed the mawkish little monograph was from her pen and her pen only, when actually it was written by Barbara Feinman.
Everyone suspected Hillary had lied about writing the book. It was simply too free of lies for it to be her work. Angered by Hillary's insistence that she alone had written the book, Miss Feinman leaked the news that Hillary held seances with Eleanor Roosevelt. Naturally, Hillary then lied about that too.
With this new book, "Living History," an account of her life in the White House during the late scandals, again there is speculation that others did the writing. I have yet to read the book, so I do not know if it contains a sufficient number of lies to sustain her claim of authorship. From what I have read, I do believe she wrote at least some of the book. Apparently in "Living History" she claims that from January 1998 to August 1998 she believed her husband's claim he had not had sex with the White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. That is a sufficiently implausible lie to conclude it is a genuine effort by Hillary.
Miss Lewinsky's relationship was precisely the kind of relationship Bill Clinton had been having for years, right down to the trademark Clinton biblical exegesis about oral sex not being adultery. Just four years before the revelations about Monica, the Arkansas state troopers in the pages of the American Spectator described assignations between Mr. Clinton and women, some of them government employees, that involved precisely the same sex acts Monica revealed. Moreover, those of us familiar with the Clintons know that through all her years in Arkansas Mrs. Clinton had been engaged in propitiating the victims of her husband's active libido. Surely when the story came out of the White House intern servicing her husband Hillary knew it was true.
Hillary probably also wrote the lines she claims to have uttered on Aug. 15, 1998, after Bill told her in the White House that he had been lying about his blameless relationship with Miss Lewinsky and that there had been intimacy. "I could hardly breathe. Gulping for air, I started crying and yelling at him. ..." That sounds like Hillary to me, particularly the yelling.
In fact, the very nature of this lie is pure Hillary. Hillary and, for that matter, Bill, lie when there is no reason to lie. Who would blame her, if she were now to write that, yes, when the Lewinsky story broke she began to suspect it was true? Or, for that matter, why could she not now maintain a decorous silence about the whole embarrassing matter? No one would blame her for not bringing it up again. The country was supposed to move on, she told us. The country has, but here Hillary is again lying when she does not have to. And the lies keep coming.
According to the Associated Press report on the book, Hillary claims that during the six months when her husband was lying to her, to his staff and to the nation about Monica, "For me, the Lewinsky imbroglio seemed like just another vicious scandal manufactured by political opponents." There were no "vicious scandals manufactured by political opponents." Or at least there were very few.
Most of the scandals were acts Bill and Hillary actually committed. They did not need "political opponents" to "manufacture" them. All that was needed was a free press to report them and federal prosecutors to pursue them. In the end, Mr. Clinton paid fines, gave up his license to practice law, and agreed to a huge financial settlement with Paula Corbin Jones. I have always thought other women such as the reportedly abused Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick, who said she was raped, deserved settlements too.
As for Hillary, Independent counsel Robert W. Ray, in his last report on the Clintons, asserted that though there was not sufficient evidence to prosecute she had given factually inaccurate testimony and Whitewater involved criminal activity. Well, that is what we have come to expect from her: dishonesty. She is now the most popular Democrat in the country.
The Hildabeast clams in her book that she believed Bill Clinton when he denied having sex with Monica Lewinsky. If so, she is the ONLY person in America with the sense to order from a McDonald’s menu who did believe him. She knows him better than anyone, and she believed him? Do you really want a person this gullible running our country?
Billary’s book.
When she runs for president this book will be her escape valve. Any question regarding her conduct .. her lies … her behavior … during the Clintonista regime. Every one of those questions will now be met with “That’s old news, and it’s covered in my book. It’s time for us to move on from that. I’m here talking about the future of our children. Anyone can read my book to get answers to those tired old questions.”
Yup … “Living History” is perfect cover for her next highly controlled political campaign.
I hope this BS ends soon. I don't know how much more I can take of BILLARY on my TV... It is not as if anyone gives a SHIT!!!
BILLARY was probably the only living human being that believed her husband did not have sexual relations with that women. I can see him waving his finger now.
Excerpt of Barbara Walters’ Interview with Sen. Hillary Clinton
Wed 2003 Jun 04 17:58:13 ET
"The jury was really out about whether the marriage would survive, whether I wanted it to survive," Senator Hillary Clinton tells ABC News' Barbara Walters in her interview to air on Sunday, June 8 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
The following report will air on “World News Tonight”:
Senator Clinton has never before spoken about her feelings -- or about any conversations she had with her husband during the dark days of the 1998 Monica Lewinsky scandal, until now.
In her book, due out Monday – and in our interview – Mrs. Clinton reveals for the first time that from the moment the very first headline broke the story -- Bill Clinton lied not only to the country about his relationship, but he lied to her as well.
SEN. Hillary clinton He told me it wasn’t true.
barbara walters
Did you believe him?
SEN. Hillary Clinton
I did.
barbara walters
One more false rumor
SEN. Hillary Clinton
That is what I believed, yes.
BARBARA WALTERS
As the late night phone calls between the President and the intern were discovered -- and the logs of gifts and visits became public -- Senator Clinton says she cross examined her husband again and again -- and still the President claimed nothing happened – until just two days before he was to testify under oath about the affair.
On Saturday, August 15th, your husband woke you up.
SEN. hillary clinton
That was probably the worst moment, um, that I can even imagine anyone going through because what he told me that morning was that he had not, uh, leveled with me or anyone else. He had not told me the whole truth about what the relationship was. And I was .. I was furious. I was dumbfounded. I was.. you know just beside myself with anger and disappointment.
BARBARA WALTERS
Mrs. Clinton goes on to tell of the very painful days that followed and the many months that she continued her duties as First Lady, while still uncertain about the relationship.
SEN. hillary clinton
The jury was really out about whether the marriage would survive, whether I wanted it to survive.
Developing...
DO YOU BELIEVE HILLARY?
Apparently Hillary’s new book (not written by Hillary, by the way) contains a few words about her reaction to Bill’s affair with Monica Lewinsky.
Hillary says she could hardly breathe when she found about that the stories of her “husband’s” little episode with Monica Lewinsky were true. She adds that, as a wife, she wanted to “wring Bill’s neck” when she found out.
What a bunch of unadulterated horse manure. You folks aren’t really going to buy this nonsense are you? I mean, after Gennifer Flowers and all of the rest of Bill’s girlfriends, do you really think Hillary was surprised to learn of Monica Lewinsky?
This book is all about positioning Hillary for her eventual presidential run. Every word was crafted to create a Hillary image that would resonate with the voters, especially the voters of the female persuasion. Hillary instructed her ghostwriters to write just exactly what every wife in American would want to read.
This little arrangement between Bill and Hitlary has never been a marriage. I’ll even go so far as to say that calling this arrangement a marriage is an insult to every true loving marriage in this country. There is about as much true, romantic love between these two as there is between Al Franken and Bill O’Reilly. The Clinton/Rodham arrangement has never been anything more than an alliance between two extremely motivated people … an alliance formed for the purpose of gaining and maintaining power, especially political power.
Simon & Schuster has ordered a first printing of one million copies. My fervent hope is that I will see a stack of those books on the discount table at Sam’s Club within months.
How do they get away with it???

Dick Morris: 'Clintons Want Bush Re-elected'
The decision by Bill and Hillary Clinton to keep a high profile going into next year's presidential campaign amounts to a "conscious effort" by the former first couple to make sure that no Democrat wins the White House in 2004.
That's the stunning assessment from political strategist Dick Morris, who said Thursday that the Clintons actually want to see Bush re-elected so he can retire just when Mrs. Clinton is ready to run for the White House herself in 2008.
"There is a conscious effort going on by the Clintons to distract attention from the current field of candidates," Morris told nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity. "They do not want a Democrat to win in '04."
"They want Bush to be re-elected," the former Clinton adviser explained. "And that way they want Hillary to be able to run for an open seat."
"If Bush lost and a Democrat were elected, then obviously [Hillary] would have to support him in '08," he noted.
"She couldn't run until 2012. She'd be 65 years old and would have been out of office for 12 years. It's kind of hard at that point to keep the bloom on the rose and be able to run."
Morris said that Bill Clinton wants to maintain his role as spokesman for the Democratic Party so he can "trivialize and minimize the Democratic candidates" and thereby keep the Oval Office open for Hillary.
Another indication that the former first couple would like to see their own party defeated in the next presidential election, said Morris, is the fact that "[Clinton's] big fund-raising guns have not signed up with any of these other guys."
Democratic strategist Susan Estrich offered partial support for Morris' theory last week, complaining that the Clintons were actually hurting other Democratic presidential candidates with their high-profile antics.
"The Clintons suck up every bit of the available air," the one-time Dukakis campaign manager observed. "Nothing is left for anyone else. They are big, too big. That's the problem."
"The 2004 candidates need a chance to get some attention," she added. "Could somebody please tell [the Clintons] to shut up?"
Hillary’s Campaign Begins
John LeBoutillier
Friday, May 30, 2003
Next week the publicity blitz begins for Hillary's 'memoir' – "Living History" – about her years in the White House.
This is her first campaign swing for the 2008 presidential election.
And her toadies in the national news media aim to make this a glitch-less book tour. The questions will be gentle – and the research of her inevitable lies, shadings and outright distortions will be virtually nonexistent.
Having not read the book yet, we can be certain of one thing: Truth will not be a factor in any of it.
Here is the Clinton Game Plan: Bring out the book and collect the rest of the $8 million. Tour the country and build up a 'new,' more positive image from a public short on long-term memory. Also build up an incredible political fund-raising machine and raise tons of cash for Democrat candidates for offices up and down the ballot all across the nation.
Meanwhile, stay clear of the 2004 presidential campaign – and pray that Bush wins! Yes, the Clintons know this: If a democrat wins the White House in 2004, then Hillary is blocked from running for president until at least 2012.
If President Bush is re-elected in 2004, then Hillary will be immediately anointed the Democrat front-runner for 2008. Few – if any – other Democrats of national significance will even challenge her.
And she could easily win that nomination. Why? Because inside the Democratic Party primaries, the very people who vote are the very same people who adore Hillary's militant feminism: leftist ideologues, gay and lesbian ideologues, union leaders and activists, public school teachers, and government and municipal union members.
The Clintons know she could be nominated in 2008; winning the general election is a different story. And it is far too early to predict the factors that go into such a venture.
But getting nominated is half the problem. And "Living History" is the beginning of her campaign to be the 2008 Democratic Party presidential nominee.
What ought to happen next week is that her book should be analyzed by a cynical eye. Her words need to be compared to her past statements, including her grand jury testimony.
That historic January event – the only first lady ever subpoenaed to a grand jury – should be made public now. If she holds public office now and is making $8 million from her days in the White House, then she should agree to release what she testified about as first lady.
Hillary should be grilled – as any other public official would be – on her inconsistencies and outright lies.
But why do we just know that Barbara Walters will pull her punches and ask, "Senator Clinton, if you could be a tree, what kind of tree would it be?" And "How did it feel when you heard about Monica?"
Barbara, Katie and Diane all vied for the 'first' interview. Yet all three socialize and hobnob with Hillary! All three support her politically. All three have been to Democratic fund raisers with her.
What kind of independent media is that?
Do you think they're going to ask Hillary about Bill's alleged rape of Juanita Broaddrick or his other alleged attacks on women, all detailed by author Christopher Hitchens?
Do you think they're going to ask her about her cattle futures killing or the lost and found Rose Law Firm billing records? Or her real relationship with Vince Foster?
No, they won't. Because they're all hoping to hitch a ride on the Hillary 2008 Campaign tour bus.
Boycott Hillary Clinton's Book!

LOS ANGELES – The more I learn about the Clintons, the more I want to see Bill Clinton tried for treason. Everyone should read "Dereliction of Duty" by Lt. Col. Robert "Buzz" Patterson, USAF (Ret.).
I hope no one buys Hillary Clinton's new book, which is due out early next month. Hillary received an advance of $8 MILLION! And that in itself should have been enough to get her thrown out of the Senate!
It is time to reopen the investigations into the mysterious deaths of Ron Brown and Vince Foster. It is time to investigate the circumstances surrounding the "pardons" in the final days of the Clinton administration. Were they pardons or were they bribes?
To this day, most people – especially attractive women – are big supporters of Bill Clinton. Wherever I go, I meet people who think the Clintons are great and Bush is awful.
WRONG! George Bush is perhaps the greatest president in modern U.S. history! The Clintons are a pair of cons who both belong in the federal penitentiary!
God bless Chris Ruddy and NewsMax.com!
Please write and call your congressman, senators and the White House. Please call Attorney General John Ashcroft at 202-514-2001 and demand that he investigate the Clintons!

A THIRD TERM
There he was, Bill Clinton, telling a group of slobbering admirers yesterday that our Constitution should be amended to allow someone to run for more than two terms. Maybe just limit them to two consecutive terms.
Evidently Clinton still has quite a list of Chinese military units he wants to strengthen, interns he wants to receive oral sex from, friends he wants to pardon, White House furnishings he wants to steal and lies he wants to tell.
Just keep at it, Slick Willie. Every time you or that hideous so-called "wife" of yours open your mouth more and more Americans are reminded of what an immoral and pathetic president you are. One thing though. If you ever do run again, make sure the American economy is poised for growth, just like it was the last time, or the people will never put up with your sociopathic crap.
A TRUE AMERICAN HERO
He's traveled all over the world, been a guest of 11 presidents in the Oval Office and has entertained millions of American GIs and civilians alike.
Bob Hope (search), America's most patriotic entertainer, celebrates his 100th birthday Thursday, May 29.
Hope is perhaps best known for his USO (search) performances dating back to World War II and continuing through to the 1991 Persian Gulf War. He and his USO troupe of starlets -- such as Frances Langford, Lana Turner and Marilyn Monroe (search) -- along with funnyman Jerry Colona, traveled to hotspots around the world, bringing some levity to an otherwise volatile environment for the U.S. armed forces.
"Growing up I thought the airport was part of the house," joked Linda Hope, Bob's daughter, who co-wrote the new book Bob Hope: My Life in Jokes with her father. "Some of us were confused as to whether he was coming or going because we were always waving either hello or goodbye."
Bob Hope was born May 29, 1903, the same year Henry Ford started Ford Motor Company and that Orville Wright piloted the first powered plane.
Hope began his career in Vaudeville and radio until Hollywood came calling in the 1930s. His star rose with movies like The Big Broadcast, in which he sang what became his signature tune, "Thanks for the Memory," and the Road To ... films with crooner Bing Crosby.
But it wasn't until the U.S. entered World War II (search) that he began a mission that would become his legacy.
"Dad was changed from the experience of seeing these young men and women, putting their lives on the line and still wanting to laugh," said Linda. "He was happy knowing he was bringing a bit of home to them."
R. Duke Blackwood, director of the Ronald Reagan Library, which is celebrating Hope's 100th birthday with the "Bob Hope: American Patriot" exhibit, said people can't help but get teary-eyed looking at the clips and items on display.
"It brings back those memories," Blackwood said, pointing out some of the items, including Hope's first USO identification card, the helmet he wore on a stage in Vietnam and the many commendations and awards Hope received for his efforts overseas.
The exhibit commemorates Hope's USO appearances as well as his long history of relationships with the nation's commanders in chief.
"Being the president of the United States is an incredible burden," said Blackwood, "and when Bob Hope visited the Oval Office they were able to laugh and take their minds off of that, and that's another great thing he did for this country."
Bob and Dolores Hope live in the same home they purchased together in 1939, in Toluca Lake, Calif. According to Linda, the main attraction for Bob was the home's close proximity to a golf course, but today the grounds on the seven-acre estate resemble a park, equipped with an in-ground pool, award-winning rose garden and a spacious putting green.
"Dad loves coming out on his balcony to get fresh air and to watch the birds," Linda said. "He looks wistfully at the putting green, and I know he'd love to be out there," she said.
Golf was one of Bob Hope's passions, when he wasn't performing. He started the Bob Hope Desert Classic in 1960, attracting A-list celebrities and golf pros, and the tournament continues to attract big names today.
Hope fans can relive some of the memories Bob provided with a DVD collection of his USO Christmas television specials, Bob Hope: My Life in Jokes, the exhibit at the Reagan Library, and a Universal Studios film collection DVD.
"Dad would want his fans to know that his long love affair with them really made his life," said Linda. "Sharing the gift of laughter has kept him going to reach 100."
To that his many fans would say to Bob, "Thanks for the memories."

Yeah let's lower the standards in our schools even more. This is a REAL picture of a school sign in Atlanta.

I just love it when they preach the FIRST amendment. Yes, they have the right to say anything they want, but they must remember we have the right NOT to BUY there CD's.
For years all we heard in the media was the LIBERAL view. Now with the likes of RUSH, HANNITY, DRUDGE and most of all THE FOX NEWS CHANNEL we are finally hearing the opposing side. This has all the DEM's (liberals) acting like a bunch of LEMMINGS.
If anyone thinks HITLARY has a chance, then I must say they are totally out of touch with reality.
First they BASHED our PRESIDENT on foreign soil then they CRIED in an interview and asked why they were so hated. What a joke. I used to love the DIZZY CHICKS. You get what you deserve. This country gave you everything you have Ms. Natilie and don't you ever forget that.

Dixie Chicks Booed, Snubbed at Country Music Show
Former country music darlings the Dixie Chicks are still paying a price for criticizing the U.S.-led war against Iraq.
The trio was snubbed at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Wednesday while audience members booed the very mention of the absent group's name.
The Texas musicians have been on the defensive since March, when singer Natalie Maines. Several radio stations pulled the chart-topping group's songs, and sales of their acclaimed new album slipped.
Instead of showing up at the glitzy Las Vegas ceremony, the three-time nominees performed a song live via satellite from Austin, Texas. They received a "pretty big negative response," the show's host, Reba McEntire (news), told reporters backstage afterward.
Later during the ceremony, presenter Vince Gill (news) jokingly mumbled their names when listing the contenders for entertainer of the year.
Gill, who has said people should forgive the group, said backstage that the atmosphere "wasn't near as volatile" as it was during the Flameworthy Music Awards in Nashville last month.
This says it all

Great post. Really makes one wonder!!
But we must not forget some other unsung heros at wartime. One name that RINGS out is MR. BOB HOPE and all the entertainers that traveled with him to bring hope and a smile to the brave men and women that fought to protect us.
Just my 2 cents!!!!!!!

SAN FRANCISCO — Like thousands of other conservative-minded college students across the country, some at U.C.-Berkeley (search) are waging war against what they call rampant liberalism on campuses. Their weapon: a right-leaning monthly newspaper called The California Patriot.
“We like to be watchdogs,” said Seth Norman, the managing editor of the Patriot.
In fact, more students than ever are taking their minority opinions into the public domain to balance out the messages their peers are getting in the classroom at school.
From the Patriot and The Stanford Review to The Yale Free Press, a growing number of conservative periodicals are now circulating online or on campus – 50 percent more than two years ago, according to Collegiate Network (search), an organization that helps such papers get off the ground.
“In the last year, 35 colleges have contacted us, and of those colleges, 18 have started new conservative publications,” said Bryan Auchterlonie, executive director of the Collegiate Network.
One reason for the sudden increase? The aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, when many students became disenchanted with their mostly liberal professors who suggested that the U.S. had it coming.
“Almost every professor here has a political agenda and almost every professor here is pushing that agenda,” said Norman. “The university is moving to take away guidelines that would restrict pushing your political agenda in classrooms, which is one of the stories that we’ve covered.”
The conservative college papers have generally been sticking to issues that affect students. One issue that's been covered, for example, is whether tuition money is being used to fund anti-war rallies without allowing any alternative speakers or opinions.
“It’s not necessarily even about conservatism as an ideology – it’s about showing people that there’s more than one point of view out there,” said Piotr Kosicki, editor-in-chief of The Stanford Review.
The students admit that there are risks involved in taking on liberal teachers and administrators. At Berkeley, thousands of copies of a controversial right-wing newspaper were recently stolen, and student reporters have received death threats.
But since most students form their political beliefs during their college years, those who work for the conservative publications say they feel obligated to present the other side.
"Because we live in such a liberal bastion, we have a duty to provide the other half of the balanced education for students," said Norman.

Same Ole SPIN and same Ole ANSWER...
What do TTN and TMM have in common. They are TWO different companies that seem to distant themselves from each other day by day.
WISHFUL THINKING I GUESS!!!!!
skunks
Why are you supporting TTN and not the company you are invested in? Are you not invested in Triangle Multimedia (TMM) just like the rest of us?
Isn't this the QBID site? http://www.qbid.net
This site, like the company, has had NO new news well over a year or more.
So typical....
Too Funny
With all the BS this company put us through and all you are worried about is a website that has absolutely NO information about the company's business plan.
If you click on the links here is what you get:
NEWS gives you local and national news not news about the company
PROGRAMMING Not one thing on what shows they will carry too generic.
FUN & GAMES one word describes this link but I cannot post it. But it is also known as BS
FINANCE Is once again local and national finance news NOT ABOUT THE COMPANIES FINANCIAL PROBLEMS
The last two links are to stupid to even post about.
So all you have to worry about is as to why the site might be down. Bottom line if the site is UP or DOWN you will still have the same info about this company and that is ZERO...
SECRET DEMOCRAT MEMO DISCOVERED
The memo is apparently from a group called the Democrat Operative Response Committee (DORK). The memo resulted from Bush’s landing on the USS Abraham Lincoln. That “what a stud” moment has caused some real soul-searching about the current Democrat candidates for president.
Democrat Operative Response Committee (DORK)
NOTE: SECRET DOCUMENT
MEMO RE: We must counter-act Bush manliness image
Dear Fellow Democrat:
Many of our members have had angst about the President’s showy landing on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. Mainstream Americans (such as the Dixie Chicks, Martin Sheen, and Janeane Garofalo) overwhelmingly agree with us that this was wrong, and just totally inappropriate. However, a hundred million Americans for some reason thought this was cool.
Fear not. Your Democratic Operative Response Committee Soldiers (DORKS) have come up with ways to fight fire with fire. It seems our Presidential candidates—all except Carol Mosely Braun—are viewed as effeminate and wimpy. Consultants tell us we need to be a little more manly (yipes, just using the word is challenging!).
DORK suggests doing the following to be seen as more manly:
1) Go to the Rainforest exhibit at the National Zoo. Make manly poses in front of the fauna. Do a press release on how you braved wild animals and unfriendly natives to save the Rainforest. (IMPT NOTE: Banana Republic has some real stylish jungle gear on sale.)
2) As Ms. Pelosi said, “We could have torn down that Saddam Hussein statue much cheaper.” Let’s show them! Make a paper mache` Saddam Hussein statue. Be sure it’s sprayed with metallic paint. Put it in a town square and knock it down with a sledge hammer. People will be amazed, not just with your manly strength, but that they’ve never noticed the statue before. (Reminder: Don’t forget to recycle when you’re finished!)
3) Over the May break, host a Super Bowl Party! (NOTE: None of the DORKS knew exactly what this is, but it seems like Republicans have one at least once a year.) It’s apparently very manly.
4) Go to a construction site, and – well, we’re not sure what people do there, but there are lots of manly men. Use terms like jack hammer, I-beam, rod buster and plumb line, and maybe they’ll let you pose with them wearing a hard hat.
5) If your campaign is really strapped for cash, the DCCC has arranged to have some life-size, cut-out, action photos in our main lobby. You can stand by Cowboy Bob, Oil Rig Ralph, or Firefighter Frank. They look great and truly give you that man among men image.
The DORK members (the DORKS) know all this is radical. So, afterwards, in order to get back in touch with your inner self, we will be hosting a hug-in as an NPR fund raiser. So, put on your favorite white turtle neck, horn-rimmed glasses and earth shoes and come on over! French wine and cheese will be served.
DORK Feel Good About Us Memo #17
This Hillary Interview is going to be one BIG joke. I can see it now. You cannot ask this or that. I am sure Barbara is going to be TOUGH!!! Yeah Right.....
Rush should have been selected to do it. LMAO He would have destroyed her very being. LOL
Walters to Interview Sen. Hillary Clinton
Thu May 15, 3:54 PM ET
NEW YORK - Barbara Walters will interview Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for a prime-time ABC News special the day before Clinton's "Living History" book hits stores.
Walters' interview will air at 7 p.m. EDT on Sunday, June 8.
"I am proud to be given the opportunity to go behind the headlines and behind the scenes of this extraordinary woman's public and private life," Walters said on Thursday.
The Clinton interview was the subject of intense competition among television personalities. Walters reportedly beat out her ABC colleague Diane Sawyer, CBS' "60 Minutes" and NBC's Katie Couric.
The New York senator was interviewed by Walters prior to the publication of "It Takes a Village" in 1996 and was pleased by the experience, spokeswoman Karen Dunn said.
There had been speculation that Walters would have less of a chance to win this interview because Walters also interviewed Monica Lewinsky, but it proved not to be a factor.
There will be no ground rules on what can be asked during the interview, both Dunn and ABC News said.
By scheduling the interview for 7 p.m. on a Sunday, ABC will go up against "60 Minutes," where Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, does commentaries. However, in rerun season, it's unlikely the former president will be on.
PATHETIC DEMOCRATS
Well, they couldn’t make Enron stick to George Bush. So far the people of this country have exhibited an understanding that Bush didn’t cause the dot-com bust, nor did he invite the terrorist to attack America on September 11th. In short, they’re desperate. They need to find a way to discredit Bush. The election grows closed with every week. Why, they haven’t been able to drum up any significant amount of hatred for George Bush over the war in Iraq.
But now we have last week’s visit by Bush to the USS Abraham Lincoln. Bush rode a jet for a trap landing on the deck of that carrier, instead of a helicopter, and the Democrats think they have a grand new issue.
The Democrat’s stand is this: The Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces should stay away from The United States Armed Forces.
AND WHAT IS THIS PICTURE AT THE BOTTOM?
Well, Golly! It looks like Clinton on the deck of the USS Theodore Roosevelt! Why, that's exactly what it is! And looky! He's wearing a flight jacket! Don't you think that it's just shameful that this particular Commander-in-Chief posed for these photo ops with the military? I guess this is OK for a president, if that president is a Democrat who "loathes" the military.
Wizened Democrat Robert Byrd, the King of Pork, is slamming George Bush for his visit to the USS Abraham Lincoln last week. Democrats are mightily upset over this appearance. Why? Because it worked. People liked seeing the Commander in Chief arriving on that jet and greeting the men and woman who had just achieved a spectacular success in Iraq.
I do have a question though. I know that I can’t read every story in every newspaper, and I may have missed something, but can anyone tell me if they’ve seen one reminder in any major media outlet about Bill Clinton’s visit to the USS Theodore Roosevelt, another aircraft carrier, for a speech in 1993? Also, let’s check to see if Byrd blasted Clinton for that “stunt.”
France helped Iraqis escape
By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
The French government secretly supplied fleeing Iraqi officials with passports in Syria that allowed them to escape to Europe, The Washington Times has learned.
An unknown number of Iraqis who worked for Saddam Hussein's government were given passports by French officials in Syria, U.S. intelligence officials said.
The passports are regarded as documents of the European Union, because of France's membership in the union, and have helped the Iraqis avoid capture, said officials familiar with intelligence reports.
The French support, which was revealed through sensitive intelligence-gathering means, angered Pentagon, State Department and intelligence officials in Washington because it undermined the search for senior aides to Saddam, who fled Iraq in large numbers after the fall of Baghdad on April 9.
"It made it very difficult to track these people," one official said.
A second Bush administration official said, "It's like Raoul Wallenberg in reverse," a reference to the Swedish diplomat who supplied travel documents to help Jews escape Nazi Germany in World War II. "Now you have the French helping the bad guys escape from us."
Asked about the passports, Nathalie Loiseau, a spokeswoman for the French Embassy, said French authorities have not issued any visas to officials of the former Iraqi regime since the beginning of the war in Iraq, either in Syria or elsewhere.
"France formally denies this type of allegation, which is not only contrary to reality but is intended to discredit our nation," she said. "It is certainly time for rumors of this type — totally unfounded and a dishonor to those who spread them — to stop."
The French passports allow the wanted Iraqis to move freely among 12 EU countries that are part of the Schengen agreement on unrestricted travel. Britain, Denmark and Ireland are not part of the Schengen pact.
The intelligence on the French passports came after reports indicated that a French company covertly sold military spare parts to Iraq in the weeks before the war.
Other intelligence reports indicated that a French oil company was working with a Russian oil firm to conclude a deal with Saddam's government in the days before military action began March 19.
The French government also denied U.S. intelligence indicating that a Chinese chemical company used French and Syrian brokers to circumvent U.N. sanctions in providing Iraq with chemicals used in making missile fuel.
Regarding the French passports for fleeing Iraqis, Pentagon officials have expressed frustration that few of the most senior leaders identified on the list of top 55 officials of the Saddam regime have been captured.
The capture yesterday of an Iraqi biological weapons scientist, Huda Salih Mahdi Ammash, brings to 19 the number of senior Iraqi leaders who have been caught. One has been reported killed.
Only one of the captives is ranked in the top 10.
Secretary of State Colin L. Powell said Sunday that he did not know how many Iraqi officials had been given haven in Syria.
"Some have been made available to us," Mr. Powell said on CBS' "Face the Nation."
"Let me put it that way: Who we knew were there are no longer there," he said. "They've been made available to us, and they will be before the bar of justice of the Iraqi people."
Mr. Powell said other wanted Iraqis have been identified to the Syrian government "to see whether they can be located."
"But my sense from President Bashar al-Assad is that he has no interest in serving as a haven for any of these individuals," Mr. Powell said. "So I think if we can give him information and give him specific names and anything else we can say about these people, I think he would try to respond."
It could not be learned whether Mr. Powell and the Syrian president discussed Iraqis who might have transited through Syria to other nations.
Mr. Powell said Syria has been "helpful" in the past two years in dealing with the war on terrorism, primarily through U.S. and Syrian intelligence liaison.
The secretary also told Mr. Assad that "there may be people in Syria that we don't know about but you know about" who should be turned over to U.S. forces.
"This is the time for you to locate these individuals and turn them over to Iraqi justice and not allow Syria to become a haven for materials that might be coming out of Iraq still, or came out of Iraq or individuals who are trying to seek haven," he said.
Under pressure from the United States, Syria in the past several weeks expelled more than 30 Iraqis, many who came from Saddam's hometown of Tikrit.
After first granting sanctuary to former Iraqi intelligence official Farouk Hijazi, Syria turned him over to U.S. officials in Iraq.
Congress is considering legislation that would impose economic sanctions on Syria for its support of terrorism and to pressure it to withdraw its forces from Lebanon and stop building ballistic missiles.

UH OH .. NOW WE’RE LEARNING THE TRUTH ABOUT THAT IRAQI MUSEUM
Pity the poor left. In the days following the liberation of Iraq leftists finally thought they had an issue they could exploit. The profoundly stupid and uncultured George Bush had failed to protect the Iraqi national museum. The entire history of the beginning of civilization had disappeared with the looting of tens of thousands of priceless artifacts from the museum .. all because of George Bush.
Well … looks like another oops for the left. The Chicago Tribune has now lowered that estimate of the number of precious antiquities looted from the Baghdad museum from 10,000 to ….. 38. That’s right, 38. The single most valuable artifact is a bowl. The remainder of the artifacts was found in the museum … largely unscathed.
By the way, coalition forces also found a gunner’s next inside the museum. That’s right. An Iraqi sniper was using the museum to fire on coalition troops. Bush probably put him there to give us an excuse to destroy the museum, but something went wrong along the way.

WHY AL FRANKEN ISN’T THE LIBERAL TALK RADIO SAVIOR
You might remember Al Franken. He’s the far-left comedian that Democrats thought might be their talk radio savior. It seems that Mr. Frankin was at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner this past Saturday night. Others in attendance heard Franken shout to Assistant Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz - "Clinton's military did pretty well in Iraq, huh?" Wolfowitz was heard to reply with a suggestion that Franken commit a physical improbability.
Here, my friends, is an example of why Al Franken isn’t going to make it as the great liberal savior on talk radio. As soon as Franken goes on the air with this stupid “Clinton’s military” line someone is going to call with a challenge.
Caller: “Hey, Al. So you say that this was Clinton’s military that Bush used to clobber Saddam Hussein?”
Franken: Sure it was! Those men were recruited for the military when Clinton was in office. Those weapons systems were developed under Clinton! It’s Clinton’s military!
Caller: Fine. OK, I’ll accept that. Now, tell me why you keep calling the current economy Bush’s economy. Isn’t it true that the dot-com bust happened under Clinton? Isn’t it true that the technology bust happened under Clinton? Isn’t it true that the Enron accounting irregularities began while Clinton was president? Isn’t it true that our economic growth started to slow down while Clinton was in office? If it’s Clinton’s military, why isn’t it Clinton’s economy?
Franken: “Uh … thanks for calling! Time for a break. We’ll be right back.”
Uh oh … a blow to our liberal hero’s credibility! And that, my friends, is why liberals just can’t handle talk radio!
By the way, it isn’t Clinton’s military. George Bush is the commander in chief. Pentagon Don is the Defense Secretary. These men and women went into battle following a man who had not expressed his “loathing” of the military. Clinton’s military had no respect for their commander-in-chief. Bush’s military loves their commander-in-chief. Military culture and morale starts at the top. A fish rots from the head first.
