I'm in Canada and my shares at TD Waterhouse have been converted and I can sell if I want
lol, got a chuckle out of that one
woah, woah, woah, are you suggesting that Buffet has eyes on AONE?
ok, thanks, you're right. I was too quick with the question when I found the answer to it just after I posted it. In the Oct 16 PR it states,
"The transaction with Johnson Controls is being completed pursuant to Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and is subject to, among other things, higher or otherwise better offers to purchase any or substantially all assets of the Company, Court approval, antitrust approval, any other such approvals as may be required by law, and other customary conditions. Given these conditions, there can be no assurance that the proposed transaction will be consummated"
Giddy up, I like! I just may buy some tomorrow.
Question: How can there be a bidding war if AONE has already reached an agreement with Johnson Controls? Signed, sealed, delivered, no?
Hangover Joe's is now in 7 eleven stores in Canada as of this week. Could Koma Unwind be far behind for our Canucks?!!
Yes. What's your point to your post?
Most of you know about the DTC but I learned a little bit more about it after I got a response for the reason for the halt and it is because of Non-dtc eligibility. DTC stands for Deposit Trust and Clearing also known as “DTCC” which stands for Deposit Trust and Clearing Corporation.
Through DTC, participants have the ability to distribute new and secondary offerings quickly and economically by electronic book-entry delivery and settlement.
When a stock is eligible for DTC, it settles electronically
When a stock is non-DTC eligible, it settles physically, i.e. not electronically, and requires a lot of human intervention and administration and therefore increases cost which is passed on to my broker.
I could still trade it, but with a whopping fee. Think I'll go back to my other broker which I bought BBDA from before, albeit, over the phone. I thought with Questrade I could just do it over the internet instead of wasting time on the telephone for the initial order entry and then if I wanted to make any changes, it's another long process on the phone.
Oh well, I wanted to buy 110K more!
You are probably right.
I will call them and ask why my order was rejected with that reason and report back.
I'm in Canada and I used Questrade and that is where I got that message from at around 3:42 pm.
"All trading on this stock is halted"
is the message I just got when I submitted my purchase order
HOLY JUMPIN' JAMBALAYA!!!!!!!
GREEN!!!! weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Hey Stout, thanks for sharing that. Going to be more exciting times ahead!!!!
ohhhhhh, duh.
thanks for answering
Can someone who has L2 on iHub tell me how the Buys and Sells work in the 'Stats' tab to the right of the volume count. It changes all the time. Like right now, I'm seeing 11,673 buys and 2,275 asks.
Ya that's my son's problem: vertigo/motion sickness. His first time ever on a plane about 5 years ago, he had what appeared to be an epileptic seizure. Fortunately, we were on a descent to land and they led us off the plane first to the waiting ambulance. Very scary. He had tests done to see if he was epileptic, but he's not. He has been on planes since and has not had an episode, but he still feels weird. I'm sure he would love to try the KOMA Unwind to relax and sleep!
Having KOMA Unwind on airlines as suggested on the STTradio show is a fantastic idea for those who have anxiety flying. My family is flying in December and my teenaged son does not like flying at all.
Holy toledo!!! weeeeeeeeee!!!!!
Altogether now, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Sometimes you can tell the direction the pps will go if you look at the previous day's short report, which, yesterday had 44M shares shorted
anyone? lol
I bought shares yet I haven't even tried the company's product!
I ordered some KOMA Unwind off the company's website but was subsequently declined since I live in Canada and they only ship in the U.S. unless I want to pay a hefty delivery charge. Dang! I so want to try it!!!
BINGO - That's what I was looking for was whether a company has to announce if they are buying back shares.
"The most common share repurchase method in the United States is the open-market stock repurchase, representing almost 75% of all repurchases. A firm may or may not announce that it will repurchase some shares in the open market from time to time as market conditions dictate and maintains the option of deciding whether, when, and how much to repurchase. Open-market repurchases can span months or even years. There are, however, daily buy-back limits which restrict the amount of stock that can be bought over a particular time interval again ranging from months to even years."
I agree and believe BBDA is already repurchasing shares. Maybe the MMs putting up big walls are not so bad after all
Why wait until the end of the year and into next year to buyback the shares? Surely, they can raise the funds via sales or LOC to buy them now while they are under a penny. This doesn't make sense to me, assuming the pps is going to be much higher by then than it is now.
Keeping an eye on the newswires!!!
I just purchased some KOMA UNWIND on the bebevco website - gotta see and taste what all the hoopla is about!
Great EOD finish for BBDA
Whatever happened to stocking the Duane Read (Walgreens) stores in NYC? They do not sell them.
