"short term" I say its means weeks or week....BM would not have used it unless something was imminent....
thank you,
what are we talking about when we say infrastructure
I see 2mil less shares than a year ago on the balance sheet--2mil is that correct?
that's excellent, they're doing a good job at managing cash--so the enterprise today is $24/share? this is a company with 30% of the 3G market under license, and the other under litigation and we haven't started the LTE rounds yet----
Oh my , did I hear the word "mapping patents" today our of CEO Bill's mouth today? ummmm that's a very interesting area---
Oh the teens, we have more cash than Netflix, we will have 10.00 share in cash soon , and did you hear the Re occuring revenues are already ocuring-----your a Genius --you should SHORT it and tell us all how great u did
The transcript shouldn't take long the Forward looking statements took up 40% of the call----
that's my Dell support guy--man he's moving up
the bait fish where scurrying today and the big fish ate them---Oh My--this is a cruel world---
Free cash flow is the cash a company produces from its operations less the cost of expanding its asset base. It is essentially the money that the company (b) could return to shareholders if the company was to grow no further.
Notice b
Facebook 19cents, IDCC 22 cents, the bait fish hit the top of the water by the whale underneath them, and they got taken out this morning--don't be a "bait Fish"....
so true, move on and find something else to critique, I say---like YOURSELF---we are in the "arena" TR , the blood on the face, the dirt in the skin---but I LOVE The Arena.....
Sony's not Tier 4 , or 1? Sony signed in Dec....with cash in hand....
I guess I'm clueless but these deals take time to work out and they involve more than "hey just send me a check every qtr" they involve joint R&D agreements and an a host of paper work....remember we are talking about millions of dollars....SamSung did sign , the deal with them will have to include new patents and I'm sure its complex to cover all the basis----at the end of the day, quarter you TRUST management or you don't? you, we as Common shareholders are just that common and have little daily impact on the company....
yea , what's it take to get a job writing for SeekingAlpha? Not a brain for sure--this guy is some kind of slim from the deep gulf waters who is not even worthy of "bait Fish", has he ever held a stock over 3hrs? NO,
Eolas exited off stage left--http://tinyurl.com/krvbh6x something tells me he will be back---you can't stop a troll
who ever buys Nokia will inherit a mountain of legal paperwork, can you imagine how long it will take to move this? And the suits will NOT stop, they will continue----so more paper work----what are you buying? Legal problems, a 7+ year suit with IDCC, which they should have settled years ago----and now they are appealing the SCOTUS----
on some stall tactic---
Yes, all the strategies are now out in open, the Chinese are quick to pick up on this and can hire the same or better legal teams---Nokia has educated the world on this---Rare Export
Before the market moves "the futures/option markets" Know---
Loop , are u in Texas? so am I , yes bring this business down to the Eastern District Court of Texas and lets settle this mess fast
yes, makes me sick that we can't get a ruling on what we have been working on for 6+years---and get pNokia to sign a deal with us---I feel this is teaching the students a terrible message in America and alerting the Chinese to some bad traits of Capitalism....PNokia is going to teach others very very bad values in the way they skirt the legal system
One's person's "patent Troll" is another persons strategic investment in defensive counter attacks on the competition, or another 1000 State Universities that license Corn, wheat products to farmers--and enforce them through a big litigation network all over the USA--that keeps 1000's lawyers and legal assistants
man your good
I think we are in the quiet period, before earnings, sure be nice to see MOVEMENT on 337-613 this decade--that would liven things up
Paulson's MA record: http://tinyurl.com/qe7m2zn
Agree, acting, passive investors react, a company has to turn the lights on everyday, meet payroll, block and tackle, look for a better solution to roadblocks all the time, workarounds, oh yea employee problems----we have our investor problems they have their employee problems--imagine herding 200 Phd's around all day?
Am I correct in saying: IDCC has prevailed in every FRAND defense it has been met with both at the ITC and Federal Court? 100% wins? SO far? this is pretty good record...I will have to read your comments after I rest--I have been driving for 6 hrs today---
http://tinyurl.com/khtl4lg
Foss Patents:
The primary target of these new actions is Samsung, but as far as FRAND is concerned, it's almost colluding with InterDigital, so the motion(s) addressed on Friday relate only to FRAND counterclaims by Nokia, Huawei, and ZTE.
your speaking of the one about Mr. Spangenberg? , of Dallas, IpNav..that is an interesting story, I had no idea he was as big as he is----the guy fits the perfect Dallas high roller crowd, since the Eastern District of Texas is the most patent ready court in the country he has a perfect place to litigate from--or threaten------like a pest that will not go away--a swarm of gnats that keep coming...when you look and listen to IDCC, this company has never been ALL about litigation, the technology has stood for itself and won in the open market---since SamSung is on OUR side in the Frand issue it is my hope they sign and renew the relationship we have had with them--we provide a lot of RD for them as well as testing, implementation of technology.....that would be good for a 15pt stock day, I'm sure....
if IDCC was of this nature, they could make life more miserable for its infringers----we have not been that much of a litigator IMO
Mr. Spangenberg (carnivorous monster) has been called “a costly nuisance,” “one of the most notorious patent trolls in America” and many unprintable names in the comments sections of Web sites like Techdirt. He has achieved a certain infamy.
http://tinyurl.com/p4sq2z9
he's the mother of all patent trolls---
In the patent world, Mr. Spangenberg says he has cultivated a reputation as a bit of carnivorous monster, but even his opponents say he can be perfectly reasonable. One, a lawyer named David Tsai, says IPNav’s lawyers dropped a case against his clients — Hulu, Amazon and Twitter — after he demonstrated that they were not infringing.
At the end of the day all lawyers understand professional respect more than most , they know the "system" feeds them so long live the "system".....
not me, just load up, the water is fine, I agree---the valuation of leap, how the world sees value---they have 3billion in debt, you would think at&t could buy customers cheaper than what they're paying--but then the get the spectrum--oh that is the value
AT&T just got Leap, the calls were active today 1318, July 9's, Ummm makes one kinda wonder---for .10 cents, and they will go to $6.00 on Monday---what a world...
Leap or Cricket was started by Jacobs of Qualcomm , had some ups/downs, I think it was re orgainized, they had a ton of debt one time--
Look who the top institutional holder of Leap is and our own IDCC?
Qcom couldn't get AtT to adopt to CDMA so it started its own carrier now they are buying it---my how the world changes: http://tinyurl.com/yghcfuu
thanks man, this was a week that will live in "inflamationry"...I'll be blocking an tackling just like BM said we are doing....we just need one to fold in our cases and the others will line up like ants...SamSung should they know how this ends---and they are better with us than against us---
someone just started buying A LOT of IDCC shares
I have a kidney stone and on morphine now so I will refrain from posting, most of my friends seem to agree I make more sense now...all is well---the 3mm will pass, so will our cases-----nice move up today---all in due time---imagine the anger if you lived in a world with no morphine---we have it---
In the 5 million page document BM talked about, I wounder how many pages were "intentionally left blank"?
I think Bill was saying that the chances are pretty good they're going to look at this case very seriously and the claim construction from the CAFC in the 613 will play into this interpretation , a infringement and validity of the 613 Pattent would almost demand that they should be reversed
Thanks F6, Texas A&M University files suit on farmers all over the wheat belt through a licensed genetically modified wheat strain they created and got a patent on it(maybe several) --it irks me that a public University using Public dollars is able to do this---? A friend unknowingly planted some of this wheat and found himself in a federal lawsuit on infringement---they have "sample takers" who go out and take samples from wheat crops---then if the wheat didn't come from a licensed supplier, your sunk-----about $25,000 of legal fees later for a $500 bag of wheat seed......they actually go after the producer....what's a poor farmer to do but try to settle and move on
If IDCC is what some would call a "patent troll" they would/could suit every seller, reseller of phones, distributor of its infringed phones besides the OEM in Federal courts all over the USA....it could make life very hard for distributors and others...somewhere, someplace a district court would uphold these patents, I'm confident---but I think IDCC present path is more professional, better viewed by the industry and proves its not a Patent Troll at all---of course the media has no idea what they do----
Did the last ID got the full commission for a review? Or did it go directly to appeal at the CAFC----the call to me was positive a lot of the defense's arguments have been taken off the table--Nokia still argues the Domestic Industry but loses on all counts---
we won't know until they appear and they will come suddenly and you or I will not be advised...the company is monetizing the patents per their plan, so at anytime you could wake up to a BIG SALE....at a very good price
Prepayments---that's 3/4 of a billion sure the debt is there but is very manageable, and I predict based on his strong answer a New patent sale soon---
LG would be smart to settle---since they argued Arbitration (that would imply, we thought we had a deal)
Focus Focus, the word of the cc was Focus, now we can focus on the
errors of the patents that were presented and intrepreted WRONG...
the Frand issue he said took up 5million pages of testimony, and defense/offence---poor trees---
the call was very affirming, and CEO believes we have many fronts to prevail----
