Nice to see Perpetual Motion is alive and well after all these years!!! LOL!!!
Shhhhhhh....it's special, secret formula glass!!!! LOL!!!!
On Tuesday, the Paris-based International Energy Agency forecast that world oil demand in 2006 would increase by 1.79 million barrels a day -- a 2.2 percent increase from 2005.
The bulk of the increase is expected in the second half of the year, with the U.S. showing the sharpest increases, the IEA said.
According to the IEA's new medium-term projections, global oil demand is expected to grow each year by 1.8 million to 2 million barrels a day through 2010 as China and India continue to expand.
With the world's appetite for crude on the rise, the global buffer of spare oil has rapidly reduced and is partly blamed for the crude price spikes that began last year.
This has at least one forecast predicting a "super-spike" in prices.
"Resilient energy demand, lackluster supply growth, and nonexistent spare capacity continue to underpin our view that we are in the early stages of a multiyear 'super spike' phase," said Goldman Sachs in its latest energy review.
This year could be the first year of that phase, Goldman Sachs said, which could last five years.
Rest of the story....

beigledog, I got into GLW because of their glass biz and turnaround situation. Their diesel clean-air products are just some icing on the cake to me....and maybe a reason to look at a longer term hold....
Corning's Sales of Diesel Products Gaining Momentum
Environmental regulations driving growth around the world, executive tells shareholders
CORNING, N.Y., April 28, 2005 – Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) today will tell its shareholders that its innovative clean-air products for diesel engines continue to represent a strong growth opportunity for the company.
Thomas R. Hinman, vice president and general manager, Corning Diesel Technologies, will say that the company expects the total market for these products may exceed $1 billion by 2008. The demand is being driven by tightening emissions standards for cleaner air. In the United States, those standards will take effect in 2007, and similar measures will be introduced in Europe and Asia, he will say.
Hinman's remarks will come as part of Corning's annual meeting of shareholders at the Corning Museum of Glass.
As diesel engine makers strive to meet these cleaner-air standards, Hinman will note, many are turning to the diesel substrates and filters that Corning manufactures at its new facility in Erwin, N. Y. The substrates and filters dramatically reduce the amount of harmful gases and soot that diesel engines emit into the air.
Hinman will add that in 2001, Corning recorded $12 million in sales of its diesel products. Revenues increased modestly over the next three years. "But in just the first three months of 2005," he will say, "sales have already topped $20 million. This momentum is laying the groundwork for a growing business, serving both the passenger and heavy-duty markets."
The company is negotiating multi-year agreements with leading engine manufacturers to capture this market growth, he will say. He will add that 2005 is a critical year for securing these agreements, since engine makers are choosing technology platforms that will help them meet 2007 U.S. air quality standards.
Hinman will also detail the unique Corning material that it will use for a new filter the company expects to begin supplying to the European diesel passenger car market later this year. The material, aluminum titanate, is the basis for the new Corning DuraTrap® AT filter. "We are convinced that it will provide an excellent combination of performance, durability and cost effectiveness" for diesel passenger car makers, he will note.
He will also reiterate the company's plans to begin the next expansion phase on its diesel plant in Erwin, a 250,000-square-foot facility that opened early last year. Expansion will begin in June, he will say, "right on schedule for our growth plans."

Corning Announces Additional $100 Million Investment in Diesel Manufacturing Plant
Company cites strong demand for its clean-diesel products for passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles
CORNING, N.Y. — Corning Incorporated announced today that its board of directors has approved an additional capital expenditure of approximately $100 million for expanded capabilities at its new clean-diesel products manufacturing facility in Erwin, N.Y. This investment is in addition to a $70 million expansion announced in February 2005.
This incremental investment in Corning's diesel manufacturing facility will provide more firing and finishing capability to meet anticipated market demand for its recently introduced Corning DuraTrap® AT filter, for diesel passenger car use, as well as demand for Corning substrates and filters for medium and heavy-duty diesel engine applications. These manufacturing enhancements are expected to be fully operational in late 2006.
"Strong market interest in our new Corning DuraTrap® AT filter – along with broader application of our diesel substrates and filters for model-year 2007 and beyond medium and heavy-duty diesel engines -- has prompted this newest investment," said Thomas R. Hinman, vice president and general manager, Corning Diesel Technologies. "Today's announcement is consistent with our often-stated goal of meeting growing customer demand for Corning diesel products with incremental additions to manufacturing capability."
The earlier expansion, announced in February 2005, is currently underway and focuses on cutting, firing and finishing capability for the production of Corning substrates and filters for medium and heavy-duty clean diesel applications. These manufacturing enhancements are also expected to be fully operational in late 2006.
New U.S. clean-air standards for on-road heavy-duty diesel vehicles are set to take effect in 2007. Corning is working closely with major diesel engine and vehicle manufacturers to incorporate the company's diesel filters and substrates into emissions aftertreatment systems to be used on medium and heavy-duty vehicles that meet these low-emissions standards.
In Europe, demand for cleaner diesel passenger cars is being driven by both consumer demand and various government tax incentives. This year, approximately half of all new cars sold in Europe are expected to be powered by diesel engines. Corning expects that the Corning DuraTrap® AT filter will be used on selected diesel cars sold in Europe beginning later this year.
Hinman noted that the global diesel products market is expected to be approximately $250 million in 2005 and it could grow into a $1 billion market opportunity by 2008 as new U.S. and European clean-air standards take effect.
Original plans for the Corning Diesel Manufacturing Facility were announced in October 2001 and the facility began production in 2004. It manufactures cellular ceramic substrates and particulate filters used in diesel engine exhaust treatment systems. Used either individually or in combination – and oftentimes catalyzed – these products help reduce particulate matter (soot) and nitrogen oxide emissions.
Corning is a leading supplier of advanced catalytic converter substrates and particulate filters to all of the world's major manufacturers of gasoline and diesel engines and vehicles. The company invented an economical, high-performance cellular ceramic substrate in the early 1970s that is now the standard for catalytic converters worldwide. In 1978, Corning developed the cellular ceramic particulate filter to remove soot from diesel emissions.

Jim Cramer is revved up about Corning (GLW:NYSE - commentary - research - Cramer's Take), not for its fiber-optic or LCD businesses but rather for its little-known diesel emission filtration business, he told viewers of his "Mad Money" TV show Tuesday.
Cramer said new, tougher diesel emission standards go into effect in 2007, and products that help reduce diesel emissions should be a billion dollar market by 2008. Corning should garner a "huge chunk" of that market, he said.
Five years ago, Corning was a fiber-optic business with an LCD business on the side, said Cramer. Now it's an LCD business with a fiber-optic business on the side. In five years, Cramer believes Corning will be a clean diesel company with an LCD business on the side.
Investors aren't yet factoring Corning's diesel emissions business into estimates, said Cramer, and therein lies the opportunity. The "stock's too cheap on the out years," he said.
JMO, but it looked to me like shares were being dumped today...maybe some of those "unissued" shares got issued. Can't imagine any longs selling at this price with drilling about to start, and buyers stepped in to grab up the shares though.....
SUMT...insiders still buying..coming off a double bottom...

Terry...Maybe I'll call Cramer and ask if BIPH is a buy, sell, or hold.... If he says sell, I'll inform him that he and I may have to share a jail cell!!! LMAO!! What's with the "death threats"...you're kinda sick!!!
tech_vstr...yep...follow the Yellow Brick Road and find Greeneye behind the curtain pulling the levers!!! Maybe you can get a brain and I can get a heart!!! LOL!!!

Fairy Tales must still be required reading in many homes no matter what the age...if everyone claps their hands at the same time I think Greeneye's analysis will come true!!!! At least for the AMEP/Investee employees!!!! All those deep pocket, oilfield knowlegable people living in Texas and AMEP only 6 cents!!! Someone call JR and wake him up!!!!!
Interesting...it's the "law"...04.03.2005
ITALIAN SOLAR THERMAL INDUSTRY
Use of solar panels will be mandatory also in Tuscany according to a
new regional law in Italy
According to the new Regional law regulating energy in Tuscany, the installation of solar thermal equipment for water heating will be compulsory when building a new house or restructuring. In the latter cases (unless proven technical hindrances), solar thermal energy installations will have to supply at least the 50% of the annual requirement of water heating.
The obligation will not arise before a few months though, as the procedure necessary for the final approval is quite long and complicated. Under the approval of the Gas and Electric Energy Authority, agreements between the Region, electric energy and gas suppliers and users representatives are needed.
This confirms also the direction of the future plan of energetic development according to which renewable sources will have to represent the 50% of the energy produced in Tuscany (29% at present) and the 20% of the energy balance (11% now) within 2012.
So what's your opinion here, Terry...should I be buying or selling???? Chart looks like a sell to me with a double bottom breakdown back in October. Even after the fluffie PR about a presentation to professional investors in Europe, the pps continues the down-trend.....I guess the "pros" weren't easily impressed with BS and are waiting on the fundamentals to improve, as in "sell something"!!!!
INSM...Damn!! Let another one get away!!!!

My Groups | hottestchannelingstocks Main Page
Hello Everybody,
I would like to congratulate everybody on OBCI's run. From your emails it seems to me that majority of group members profited heavily from OBCI. The stock was released at $1.53 and hit a high of $3.00 so that's a good window to buy and sell in, and it seems that's where majority of you made money. Also if you have not emailed me, feel free to email me and let me know how OBCI went if you traded it. I would really like to hear how you did, plus any suggestions or comments. Even if you did not trade OBCI I would like to hear from you. Also I will reply to all emails, but I have many emails coming in so it may take some time so please be patient, I will reply eventually.Once again congratulations on another major gainer.

What is a transfer agent?
A transfer agent and registrar is an entity that keeps records of every outstanding stock certificate of a publicly-held company and the name of the person to whom it is registered. Please note, however, that the transfer agent does not maintain records of shares bought and sold through brokerage accounts and held in "street name." Those records are maintained by the specific brokerages through whom shares are bought and sold.
What is the transfer agent doing besides printing shares and updating the OS every day????? Maybe AMEP's transfer agent has Secret Agents that pee on people's legs in rest rooms??? LMAO!!!!
Who knows??? Maybe they called and asked if they would like some free samples and the "interested" company said sure, send us some.....
That's an easy one Terry....having used both...plumbers are cheaper than heart surgeons.......if you hire the right one and don't let them bullchit ya!!! LOL!!!
Gold at $540??? This is getting scary....it's like the major gold buyers know something serious bad is gonna happen....
Otis...you former CIA-types are just tooooo sharp!!! Send your findings in to the SEC and the DOJ.... Don't forget to check the terrorist connection too.... Do you have any other stock recs that are manipulated this badly...I sure would like to buy some!!!!!
Terry....you buy on bullchit, I buy on fundamentals.....so I'll wait on the fundamentals..
Water hose for plumbing??? I guess Missouri hasn't established a Home Building Inspection program yet..... Sounds like you have had some bad home buying experiences...stay with your manufactured housing, IMO.
I don't get it...articles posted here about the wonderful things happening at the Prince George sewage treatment plant, a FASC PR about additional good things, and Prince George is upset about emails to them?????? What are they gonna do when 60 Minutes does a special on them and small town delegations from all over the world start arriving????? LOLOLOLOL!!!!!
ichjw???? Why would I want to walk around on steel covered with an inch or two of ice??? Ever hear of calcium chloride???
Contractor....love your "birth of a child" post on RB...except this baby is smoking $10 cigars and wearing Depends all paid for by shareholders!!! LOL!!!!
lonestar....and I keep reading "never average down".....LOL!!!
I don't understand how these 30-year-plus-experienced-oilfield people could screw up so bad on a drilling date!!!! Oh wait! Maybe they needed to dump millions of shares to pay for the rig and all the prep work before drilling???????? Naaaaa....they wouldn't do that!!!!
SVL worth a look?? Recently Amex listed, looks undervalued even at $3.18....PE 5.17?? Large debt, but that's due to being in real estate, IMO. Earnings growth looks good, but I don't know much about their biz.... Heavier than usual volume which company responded to as not knowing why.....
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=SVL
palacian...I was a CEO at one time, actually produced products (homes) and sold them at a profit, and didn't need to go public and sell shares to do it. I wouldn't be a good CEO for BIPH since I like to walk the walk rather than spend all my time in front of groups of people BS'ing them.....but that's just me....so I BS on message boards!! LOL!!
So, in your mind, no one can critizise unless they can step into the job???? You never say anything negative about any President of the USA or any politician????
At least the company spells it out to shareholders on page 29 of the filing....that should cut down on the whinners later on, but I doubt it!!! LOL!!!! (It's just "boilerplate", so don't worry, wink, wink...)
