I forgot ALMI....that will also make you a nano millionaire accordng to the longs.....
RE: BIPH....has a CEO who loves to talk and puff himself up, but can't BS the buyers into purchasing anything....
OT: neutral-ice...I used TurboTax the last couple of years, after the first one, they save all the info on line to make it easier for future returns. Actually will access your brokerage account, if you allow, and pick out all the buy/sell/dividend/interest info automatically!!!! (Scottrade hasn't set that up yet as far as I know, but Fidelity does). Can also download info from Scottrade to Quicken and TurboTax will get the info that way....
Does the e-filing also for a charge, federal and state returns. Check for discounts as a first time user.......
Can log on and off at your convience to work on return as you have time.....good luck!!! Vote for VAT and eliminate filing!!!!!
Doubloon, re contest and the two picks....to be clear for all, do we use the best performer and eliminate the second stock or are the two stocks averaged????? Should be in the rules??? BTW, I came up with the same % figures on the Santa contest as others.
integrity1st...right, (wink, wink)....guess I'll load up on some of those shares tomorrow..... Anyone have the
up-to-date OS?????
I don't know of any "good" pink sheet investments, I own some TDYH, but I won't know for sure if it's any good until they get the Amex listing as promised. In the meantime, they are not pumping and dumping which is nice....they already have an ongoing biz so the shareholders aren't paying their salaries, rents, or perks. Still, it's total speculation at this point, but no other huge red flags.
There are some major foreign companies on the pink sheets because they chose not to go to the expense of USA SEC accounting reqs changes...I think Nestles is one, but I don't follow any of those.
integrity1st....Is the SB-2 supposed to be good??? It does explain the massive dilution and raises lots of red flags. BTW, it's not listed under HISC at Pink Sheets, you have to use the company name to access it. IMO, the filing of the SB-2 was the time to sell.
"This offering is being conducted by our officers and directors; there is no minimum offering amount.
We intend to conduct this offering through our officers and directors who have no experience in selling securities. In addition, there is no minimum offering amount. While we do intend to continue the offering until all shares are sold, there can be no assurance that we will sell even a minimum number of shares. Should this happen, we will utilize other means of raising capital. Our ability to continue our growth will depend on our ability to raise capital from other sources.
An arbitrary determination of the offering price increases the risk that purchasers of the shares in the offering will pay more than the value the public market ultimately assigns to our common stock and more than an independent appraisal value of us.
The offering price for the shares was arbitrarily determined by our management. The offering price bears no relation to our assets, revenues, book value or other traditional criteria of value. Investors may be unable to resell their shares at or near the offering price, if they are able to resell the shares at all ."
The A Team...a seller would have to wait 30 days to buy back to take a loss "write-off"....check your wash rules...but may be some end of the year profit taking. The stock has been flat for a while near 5 cents even with news...that indicates controlled dumping, IMO... The overall trend is definately down....
I don't understand who is selling every day making the price flat.....don't they want to get rich too???????
Texas...don't worry...no one on a message board can hold a good company back, fundamentals always rule in the long run!!!!!

I bet they never go to the OTC....any takers????
DJ NY Precious Metals Review: Gold Surges In Technical Trade
DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
Chart-based buying enabled New York gold and silver futures to finish sharply
higher on Tuesday, traders and analysts said. However, they emphasized that
volume remained unusually light after Christmas and price moves may have been
exaggerated as a result.
February gold settled up $4.90 to $510.10, while March silver surged 16.7
cents to $8.812.
"Keep in mind it's a relatively quiet day and volumes are pretty thin," said
Dave Meger, senior metals analyst with Alaron Trading. "We're up today, but it
wasn't done on huge volume. It doesn't take a whole lot of buying."
"It's because of illiquidity," said Bernard Hunter, director of precious
metals at Scotia Mocatta. "The London market is closed today. The New York
market is open but a lot of people are away on holiday still. Canada is closed
and that takes away a lot of the producers.
"It doesn't take much to move the market around."
Throughout the session, several market watchers commented that much of the
strength in gold occurred in overseas activity during the night and Comex gold
simply maintained the gains.
"This was mostly technical," said Meger of the day's gains. "There was no
currency-related activity."
In the Comex pits, "the little bit of buying we saw was both locals and
funds," he added.
John Person, president of National Futures Advisory Service, commented that
February gold is bouncing after some felt it may have been "undervalued" when
it corrected from a contract high of $544.50 on Dec. 12 to a low of $492.30 on
Dec. 21. Now, he said, momentum-based buying is once again propelling prices
higher.
"We're seeing solid buying from speculative interests and funds are starting
to re-emerge on the long side of the market," said Person. "The whole
precious-metals arena, including silver, is higher. It's just a solid area that
investors want to be a part of, especially funds and speculators."
The longer February gold remains above $500, the more buying interest it may
attract, added Person.
"A lot of advisory services are bullish gold," he said. "Comparatively
speaking, in inflation-adjusted dollars, it's still relatively inexpensive even
at $500 to $510. Anything under $500 is going to be viewed as a value."
Meger put support for February gold around $502.50 and resistance just shy of
$512.50. He pegged support for March silver at $8.75 and resistance at $8.91.
Meanwhile, platinum and palladium futures finished marginally higher after
giving up most of their gains at the end of the session. January platinum added
10 cents to $965.40 after having been as strong as $971.90 in pit trading,
while March palladium gained 45 cents to $258 after having been up to $263.
Light selling occurred right at the end of the day in extremely thin holiday
trading conditions, said one contact. The volume was too light to even
attribute the late pullback to anything in particular, he added.
"The market is so thin a couple of lots can move it in either direction," he
said.
Globally, some 90% of the normal participants in these metals markets may
still be off after the holidays, with London closed and Asian and New York
trading remaining light, said the trader.
For most of the day, he commented, the Platinum Group Metals had a firmer
tone, helped largely by the strength in gold. The light buying appeared to be
from speculators and funds, he commented.
"I've got to believe it was spec because there are no industrial people in to
buy anything," he said. "Most of the trading houses have skeleton crews to sell
to consumers, if they're even open."
Settlements (open-outcry trading only):

Biophan Europe Reports 2005 Development Milestones
Wednesday December 28, 6:00 am ET
Biophan Technologies' German Subsidiary Continues to Advance in Enabling Crucial MRI Visualization for Range of Medical Devices
ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 28, 2005--Biophan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: BIPH; FWB: BTN), a developer of next-generation biomedical technology, announced today that Biophan Europe GmbH has reported a series of important operational achievements for the year ended December 31, 2005. Dr. Michael Friebe, CEO of Biophan Europe, highlighted the Company's progress in developing proprietary solutions that enable fully compatible Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of stent based medical devices such as heart valves, coronary and peripheral stents, and vena cava filters, as well as new honors and recognitions that it has received.
"We are pleased to report that 2005 was a year marked by substantial new accomplishments in meeting our biomedical mission and overall strategic objectives," said Dr. Friebe. "Following our reorganization as a European subsidiary of Biophan Technologies in May, we have continued to make very encouraging progress on several major development fronts. Our scientific team led by Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Andreas Melzer, has also received gratifying new recognition from the international scientific community in the last year."
Biophan Europe is a global leader in developing modification technologies to make a range of implanted devices clearly imageable with MRI systems. In general, MRI is considered a superior imaging technology compared to relatively risky and invasive alternatives, including catheter labs and X-ray machines. Biophan Europe's development program could dramatically improve interventional MRI and further enable minimally invasive surgical procedures. Currently, many implantable and surgical devices comprised of metal are contraindicated for use with MRI. In order to extend MRI to additional patients who need it, Biophan Europe has developed a variety of patented resonant circuit technologies to enable MRI imaging techniques to look "inside" stents and other implants, and to enable the MRI-guided implantation of the devices. Developed under the stewardship of Dr. Melzer, these potentially revolutionary capabilities would make virtually any stent fully visible with MRI, accompanied by certain changes in device design or material and proprietary AMRIS(TM) technologies (AMRIS is the previously registered name of Biophan Europe).
In addition, Biophan Europe reported the following key accomplishments for 2005:
MRI-Visible Stent Design:
Biophan Europe facilitated an exclusive license for Biophan Technologies with leading German biomedical researchers, Dr. Arno Bucker and Dr. Alexander Ruebben, for their breakthrough stent technology enabling accurate MRI in or around metallic stents. Together with the existing technologies already held by Biophan, including those obtained through the Company's recent acquisition of AMRIS GmbH, the exclusive license with Dr. Bucker and Dr. Ruebben will give Biophan licensing ownership to two of the most viable methods to create artifact-free images of stents and implants with MRI.
Advanced a series of highly successful and encouraging acute animal trials in pigs. These initial studies demonstrate the feasibility of MRI imageable stents as a solidly viable concept and to establish whether diagnosing restenosis, or the re-clogging of arteries through unwanted tissue growth, can be imaged using MRI.
Based on these results, Biophan Europe intends to launch chronic animal studies, the next major preclinical testing phase, expected to begin in Q2 2006.
MRI-Visible Vena Cava Filter:
Further advanced a successful preclinical animal study collaboration related to MRI-vena cava filter imageability with a major strategic development partner in Germany, the University of Aachen. The study is designed to show, first, that this device would inherently be an effective filter, and, second, that this filter, as well as all other procedural tools used for this implantation procedure, would be fully compatible under MRI guidance, and would show the filter's status under MRI.
This first testing phase of the filter is expected to be completed in Q1 2006. With further development progress, Biophan Europe expects to accelerate this product line to market.
MRI-Visible Stent-Based Heart Valve:
Completed preclinical animal trials in December, successfully demonstrating the conceptual feasibility and MRI imageability of a stent-based heart valve in a joint project spearheaded by Dr. Andreas Melzer with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Bethesda, Maryland;
Based on these successful results, the first applications in which the heart valve will be implanted in human volunteers for further examination, are expected to begin in 2006.
MRI-Visible Occlusion Device:
Filed a number of significant patent applications to cover additional breakthrough technologies related to development of an MRI-visible occluder, an implant designed to cure heart wall defects.
Additional Intellectual Property Expansion:
Biophan Europe is also developing several additional product prototypes, for which patent protections have been filed. Additional details about these MRI-related technologies were not announced at this time.
Additional Honors and Recognition:
Published an article written by Dr. Friebe about the future of MRI systems in interventional medical procedures. The article appeared in the IAMERS Newsletter, published by the International Association of Medical Equipment Remarketers & Servicers (Oct. 2005);
Received a prominent award for a research presentation from the leading group, the European Society on MRI technology, which formally presented the honor at a scientific conference held in Basel, Switzerland (Sept. 2005);
Received substantial research grants during the year from the German government for continued studies of a proprietary vena cava filter technology.
Worked closely with Biophan Technologies on the execution of milestone, multimillion dollar licensing and equity agreements with Boston Scientific.
In response to the 2005 accomplishments, Michael Weiner, CEO of Biophan Technologies, said, "Our acquisition in May of what would become Biophan Europe was without doubt one of the past year's most important achievements. Biophan Europe's research has generated 15 additions to Biophan's extensive intellectual property portfolio, further strengthening our MRI technology leadership. The acquisition also brought new world-class scientific personnel and additional access to the European research community, where some of the most exciting research into MRI is being conducted. We are delighted with the past year's progress and look forward to additional advancements in 2006, both at Biophan Europe and at Biophan Technologies."

TRCPA, are you going to re-evaluate in January or wait until the reverse split or increase in authorized to dump this loser????? FASC should have bought several Dairy Queen franchises with the shares they dumped, at least they would be profitable....
Any of you guys that think AMEP is a business development corporation like TINY or Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. are not too investment savy, IMO. Both those companies buy shares in other companies, usually via a PIPE or make loans to private companies and receive interest payments, or actually purchase the companies. No way do they invest in companies by giving them shares for the investees to sell nor do they invest in companies without actually doing their accounting. The AMEP BDC is a joke and there is no accountability to AMEP shareholders on what the investees are doing with the funds provided by dumping shares they are given or their revenues. I imagine if the SEC ever gets around to checking AMEP out, the BDC arrangement will be disapproved, IMO, as stated in their filings as a possibility.....
Waitedg...actually I'm just waiting on what the sectors are gonna do. Oil and gas are getting nailed, if that continues, I may pick there for a runup in January. Watching several others for a good pick.....I really want to win that car!!!!!
LOL!!!!!! Thanks anyway!!!!!
Dang!! Google search looks like 5000 companies selling competitive products!!! Tough market!!!
Which hole is that ap for??? Is it in addition to the permit for the first drilling???
THE NEW YEARS RALLY STOCK PICKING CONTEST....
I can't make up my mind.............
Texas...what business experience have you had??? Did/does your company do fluffy PR's to dump shares???? Did you PR you were applying for a business license or driver's license???
Think they will hold off drilling so the crew can spend Easter with their families???????
OT?: Nano Is Samsung's Silver Lining
Friday December 23, 10:56 am ET
By Jack Uldrich
Samsung (OTC BB: SSNNF.PK - News) has received a fair bit of press lately about its nanotechnology-equipped refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners unveiled last month at a trade show in Dubai. The South Korean conglomerate notes with some fanfare that the appliances are integrated with silver nanoparticles, which have extraordinary antibacterial properties. Samsung's nano-appliances reportedly eliminate 99.9% of two very harmful micro-organisms: staph and E. coli.
This is not the first commercial application of silver nanoparticles. Nucryst, a subsidiary of Westaim (Nasdaq: WEDX - News), has been applying a nanocrystalline form of silver to its bandages for a few years. Nevertheless, the Samsung move still makes for good PR. In fact, I think the new product line will even help drive sales among consumers who are meticulously -- even compulsively -- clean. Beyond that, however, the new product line is unlikely to have much of an impact on the company's $58 billion market capitalization.
That's not to say Samsung has it wrong regarding nanotechnology. To the contrary, the company has been actively engaged in nanotech since 2000, and it is more quietly applying the technology to products that really do matter on a large scale -- such as semiconductors, flash memory, and telecommunication components.
The company is working closely with the South Korean government on its national nanotechnology program and stands to become a prime beneficiary of the research. The $100-million-a-year program includes aggressive investments in everything from nanolithography and carbon nanotubes to molecular electronics and quantum computing.
On a more practical level, Samsung is partnering with IBM (NYSE: IBM - News), Infineon (NYSE: IFX - News), Xilinx (Nasdaq: XLNX - News), and Freescale (NYSE: FSL - News), as well as the Interuniversity Microelectronics Center -- Europe's leading independent nanoelectronics research institute -- on a number of other initiatives to determine how nanotechnology can facilitate the development of next-generation portable-communication devices like digital cameras, mobile phones, and flat-panel televisions.
The fruit of all of these efforts, I suspect, will begin to pay off very soon. In fact, Samsung has already announced that it has constructed an all-nanotube switch in partnership with Cambridge University. The device can rapidly switch routing connections on chips.
It's true that all-nanotube switches aren't as easy for the public to grasp as, say, enhanced germ-killing washing machines. But I'm confident that if investors show some patience, it will be advances such as the all-nanotube switches -- not household appliances -- that will provide the real silver linings in Samsung's portfolio of nanotechnology-related projects.
Fool contributor Jack Uldrich does not yet fear germs enough to purchase a nano-enhanced refrigerator. He is the author of the forthcoming book
Investing in Nanotechnology: Think Small, Win Big.
He does not own shares in Samsung but does have modest investments in IBM and Freescale. The Fool has an ironclad disclosure policy.
Happy Holidays from the staff at BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY INC.....
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!
Can picks be changed up to midnight Dec 30??????
nlightn....shoot!!! I can't afford the insurance!!! How 'bout a Jag that doesn't break down.....have they made one yet????? Our first ever Jag S-Type had a stuck thermostat at 15,000 miles.....cost of part, $60....looks like a normal $5 thermostat (except the $5 one lasts forever!!!).... now at 75,000 miles, no interior heat and the dash has to be torn out to fix...
I better stop here, my blood pressure is going up!!!! LOL!!!!
What's all this baloney about an "export license"....use UPS or FedEx, they have all the licenses. Their stuff isn't on any restricted list, is it??? Heck, most of it is imported to the USA in the first place!!!! LOL!!!!
Doubloon...many thanks for the Claus rally contest and congrats to Starshine. All now on notice....I'M WINNING THE JANUARY CONTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!
OT: PLNI.PK is another diluting POS, that's why it keeps dropping with "great" PR's...... Pinkies are Stinkies.....
Is the board interested in keeping the "Santa Claus Rally" stocks posted for the "January Effect" or longer??? I think some of the picks are quite good and could be some winners in 2006......maybe check them once a month.....
Merry Christmas....hoping to get some more coal in my stocking this year!!!!!
spencer....don't buy a Jag, they are a POS!!!! Get a green Lexus!!! Merry Christmas!!!!
I thought Enron was dumb too....
So how much money has AGES made??? Aren't they the guys that predicted $30 million in sales in a few years??? I think you pointed that out in your posts until it became clear it wasn't gonna happen. Majority owner just makes HQ twice as dumb....or twice the write-off...IMO... HQ is a electric power company, probably get some green power tax benefits too in the deal. You can laugh all you want, I think FASC is pretty laughable..... I think the home office probably gets a chuckle out of your posts too!!! LOL!!!
Better get a submarine to use in January!!! Ho, ho ho....
Well, I sure am happy HQ isn't in charge of my portfolio!!! You gonna sue them if FASC does the RS and drops to 0.0001 pre-split??? Not a good idea to follow investments by an organization whose job is to give money away and use it for a write-off......IMO....
