Indeed, sinful. More than once has a dreamer sought to change the world, only to do laundry at a hotel
chain.
Bless the dreamers.
..and if there's laundry to be done, then damn well..let's do it.
Families have been raised on less.
You bet.
Here's the one I used..
http://www.globetelwireless.com/
same here. Just did it.
yeah, frank..as obvious as "See Bob run."
Ya just have to pick out the IMPORTANT parts. LOL!!
Reminds me of the dropped cell phone call commercials.
"I suspect Seth stopped writing about GTEM simply because they stopped being worth writing about. GTEM had a largely hype-inflated price when he started writing about them.."
So it was "big time", and worth writing about at four bucks a share?
I respectfully have a differing opinion.
As much as I loathe keeping this thread alive, I just couldn't help responding to this (my bold):
The Sheriff's "Civil Enforcement Officer" will go to Palmdale, notify whoever is in charge of the demonstrator that, subject to the judgment, the property (demonstrator) is being seized, order everyone involved to vacate the premises and seal entrance to the facility.
They are going to be locking up folding chairs, computer monitors, copy machines, etc. They are not going to get a big deflated balloon thingy, and say "nah-nah, na boo-boo".
Get real.
(I realize you say you were in law enforcement, but that just isn't an excuse anymore.)
I'm sorry..did that advertisement say 5 grand? So, they seize 2 floor buffers and a Mr. Coffee machine?
You'd think someone as meteorically successful as that ad claims would wipe their "feet" with 5 grand???
JMHO.
"It's only a day a-waaaaaaaaaaaaay!" ??
Hey, it was a guess...
game, not knowing more about the German business than we do, I think it would be acceptable to put it on a "back burner".
As with the other European "deal", there are probably MANY nuances and subtleties that we will never know about. What was real, and what wasn't. Who was at fault, and who wasn't. If we achieve success after only two misfires, that is probably not a bad record.
We do appear to have a bona fide business plan with a known heavy hitter in Mexico. To my limited knowledge, we have NOT had this arrangement before. I agree that this is where the spotlight is shining right now.
What benefit would come from distracting it?
Poke, sounds like they're getting kinda sassy with the big boys!!
We must have a big brother hiding in the closet!! LOL!!
Good question Mighty! I'm sure our Southern friends would appreciate a little IPTV!!
Heck, I know I would!!
could be, rwe. Perhaps Trimax does have all of Hotzone tech, and it is for sale to anyone that wants it..
...as long as it is GTEM.
schnizz, lost the plot?? How in the world did that happen??
LOL!
(ya mean, there's a PLOT??)
Probably BoNY again. They accidentally BOUGHT when they were supposed to SELL!
LOL!!
poke, sorry to reply..I'm a positive thinker..but..
I really don't think ANYONE (except the neurotic GTEM shareholders - like me... and bashers) even knows about the "new" website. The other several billion people in the world are not even aware of its presence. That would be my guess as to why it has not generated any interest.
Now..when No Mas starts generating curiosity..flyers in bills, print ads, radio/TV ads, etc.., then the rest of the normal people in the world will have reason to "investigate" No Mas, and perhaps the associated company, GTEM. (I hope!)
Of course, JMHO.
Hopefully like the widget commercial, where the lines are jammed with subscribers!! Be nice to get the 250,000 onboard TODAY!
...well, it WOULD!!!
LOL!!
Without having figures in front of me, I would imagine that an existing telecom giant like VPN already has a certain customer base that they estimate will utilize the No Mas Cables service. This would be estimated at 250,000.
Obviously, these persons already pay for the service, so miraculously coming up with the money is not a concern.
For the individuals making $5.00 a day, I would recommend asking for a raise.
Is it possible that the "GTEL" mentioned in/ on the new website is merely an acronym for GlobeTel Communications Corporation, herewith referred to as "GTEL" for readibility, and not a ticker symbol?
I know that would corrode some tinfoil hats, but...
LOL!!
Was that not mentioned on the videocast SHM??
Do we need a website for Centerline? Would it generate business for Centerline to have a website, or is it mostly through existing business contacts???
strato, I would imagine that if the Hotzones work nearly as well as they have been claimed to, that the investment could be recouped through actually selling the services.
.. a good theory, with perhaps even less risk.
Much nicer to be surprised on the upside, eh sin??
Seems pretty conservative..looking at these metropolitan area populations
Greater Mexico City 19,231,829
Greater Guadalajara 4,095,853
Greater Monterrey 3,664,331
Greater Puebla 2,109,049
Greater Toluca 1,610,786
Tijuana 1,410,700
León 1,325,210
Ciudad Juárez 1,313,338
Comarca Lagunera 1,210,890
Greater San Luis Potosí 1,075,000
"The joint venture, No Mas Cables de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., will help fulfill a critical need within Mexico for more widespread broadband and telephony availability."
There's that "telephony" word again....
Looks like the broadband access thingy is just the foot in the door....IMHO.
nikos, I may be just about jaded enough to agree with you except for one thing. They keep dragging VPN and the Peralta's names through this.
IMO, this network WILL happen. Promotion and marketing WILL happen. Probably many, if not every, technique(s) for success WILL be thrown at this venture.
Does this mean it will be a tremendous success, and make GTE/L/M shareholders rich? No.
I do think it will have at least a better-than-average chance of being a viable business. (due in no small part to VPN)
For those striving for GTEM's demise, I don't think this is the coffin you're looking for. There may be others, I just don't think this is your huckleberry.
Noticing the new "revelations" on the general board, and the slightly wilting SP, if one believed in conspiracy theories, this would be a good time to drop the closing price a few cents on about 100 shares, and REALLY scare the mom & pop investors out of their shares.
But we know that doesn't happen.
Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much helium. lol!
Old,outdated "Strat" concept, isn't it?
ditto sinful, I think this progression is monumental for Globetel, considering its past.
Baby steps.
and maybe Globetel wanted to see, also.
(like the widget commercial, where their orders go through the roof..)
Perhaps his being hired as "interim" indicates his temporary status?? i.e.: his termination was expected when he was hired??
Maybe they are at the bottom now!
..name 3 other employees...lol!
Can you name another company with Globetel's history??
I don't think comparisons exist...
I seem to recall Jones stating a "commercial stratellite", Murch states "prototype". Just to split hairs.
Wonder what the timeframe would be from "prototype" to "commercial".
...GO Mexican JV!!!!
nil, LOL!
Ya just can't keep good BOD anymore!!
Seriously, what the hell with a 4 month stint? Was she working as a "Kelly BOD"? Talk about a "temp" job. What is the average investor supposed to assume from this "drive-by BOD"?
:O)
Muntz ? Help clear up the SEC issue? Hmm. I never had that vibe.
However,if she was supposed to help out with that issue, perhaps her assistance is no longer needed??
Who in the world knows!!
You just keep fighting the good fight, sister!
Thanks and GLTY!!!
correction: "The highest float test that we know about, was about 100 feet."
Sirius, ya mean the guy that posted Altvater's GTEM demise on a German message board, that JimProfit read, and reposted on this board, may not have been totally accurate?
Now there's a stretch, huh?
skunk, I was wondering whether the Peraltas had the resources to take on similar buildouts on other continents.
Maybe their focus is a little bigger than Latin America. Perhaps VPN will be our sugar daddy.
Who knows.
As per the Nov. 29th PR:
my bold
Although the primary use of the Company's first commercially-available network in Mexico is for broadband Internet access, the HotZone 4010 also allows the offering of VoIP telephony through the DECT standard, permitting a typical DECT-enabled cordless phone to have a reach of up to 800 meters from a HotZone 4010 base station, and allows for the fulfillment of WiMAX needs.
