Hmm.. If he's a fly buzzing around you, what are you standing in?
Really? What product and where?
I love a good sale too. We need many more buyers though for this to work. This measly few thousand here and there just isn't going to cut it.
I thought plsb was very attractive in the .40's. It looked great in the .30's as well. With all of the developments this year the .20's look good too. I can't wait for the teens. My favorite though will be the single digits. I love this stock ;)
It's nice to see strong support of the plsb from such a wealthy investor.
It would be nice to get an update on progress.
Why isn't this huge announcement having any positive impact on share price? We shed 30% in a month with no news and can't even get a little bounce with positive news?? Frustrating!
Is the consensus here that negotiations on price reimbursement will reach a fixed point and will be applicable to treatment at all participating hospitals? I'm still not clear if the insurance covered treatments will have to be reviewed/approved on a case by case basis.
I was also hopeful that MD Anderson would discuss the Direct trial during one of the breakout sessions, but I didn't see anything. Maybe one of the listed MD Anderson presentations will include it.
Immunotherapy Forum 2015. Nice to see NWBO get some presentation time with the likes of Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline and many others.

It appears everyone here is certain HE negotiations are imminent. What kind of an impact would a negative Germany outcome have on the company and stock?
Seriously, look at the 5 yr and max charts and tell me what you see.
Tax selling will likely began to pick up pace in the coming weeks. The reality of the situation will start to set in with all of the retail folks. I won't be at all surprised to see new all time lows in the share price.
Great news longs! There will probably be buying opportunities like you've never seen before. I find the 5yr and max charts absolutly fascinating.
Does anyone want to look at the chart on this board and offer a technical opinion on where we go from here?
Although there was an improvement in progression-free survival, it could not be considered clinically relevant because of limitations in the methods available to measure the size of brain tumors.
I don't like the sounds of that at all. Does NWBO face a risk of the FDA taking the same position on their clinical trial end point?
You need to add at least another year to your understanding. LP stated they expect enrollment to be completed by summer 2015. I always add time to her expectations. I think the end of 2015 is optimistic and summer 2016 is probably more likely.
You really think the latest capital raise is enough to get them through enrollment? Yikes! Do you understand cash burn? This might be enough money to get them through December 2014. We have many more dilutions to get through before we reach the promised land.
Haha true. There was some mention the other day of institutions using selling strategies with the warrants as upside protection. That's where I was coming from.
This is good news. I have to wonder if some of the shares dumped yesterday were part of this financing. Anyone know if there was a lock up period on the shares?
Now if we can get some good news on the HE front, and maybe some revenue flowing this year, I will feel much better about everything. Wow what a week!
Why aren't the shorts covering their millions of shares at these prices? Does anyone (Xena maybe) think they have started covering?
Thanks for the info and for your thorough explanation of the recent financing.
Evaluate,
I was quiet with my concerns for a long time. I doubt AF reads this board for ideas, but I see your point.
I am in the same boat. I have never been on such a roller coaster. It is hard watching options expire worthless (trust me I know) but you just have to keep playing if you want to catch a big wave. It has been incredibly hard not to sell my core position this week. I have this nagging feeling that somebody knows something negative and is dumping all of their shares. The selling has been relentless with pretty big volume to back it.
I hope for the patients, the investors, and everyone else involved that this turns around soon. This week has been brutal. GLTY
Because it was a new financing with renegotiation of the warrants.
TOB,
Do you know why there is a typically a lock up on warrants? Is this beneficial to the company in some way?
Thanks
Might be a good price today....again. You never know, tomorrow could be even better.
I agree with you to some extent. They do however choose to pursue certain investigations and it has always been a mystery (to me) how they make their selections. The SEC website has a lot of information about their investigations and litigation that they have been involved in.
"but this really hurts to be down at these levels after all of the positive things they have been intimating are on the near horizon."
I agree. I'm sure this is something that will be reviewed if there is an SEC investigation (someone here mentioned).
If we do crash and burn, I imagine the long time diehards on this board will vanish into the night without a peep. I hope we don't find out.

Maybe my expectations on Direct are a little unrealistic. I just remember Linda Powers saying that the good news would be "shouted from the rooftops." I also believed a lot of the speculation on this board that results would being to appear immediately. I know the fiasco with AF/MD Anderson put a damper on that plan. Just hoping for something to stop the downward death spiral.
I do believe in the science and hope that it will be proven successful enough for approval. I am becoming increasingly doubtful that we will make it to the finish line. Hope I'm wrong.
With the alternative uptick rule in effect, can we conclude that a lot of the selling yesterday and everything today is legitimate selling and not shorting or naked shorting?
No doubt! And I believe it is a real threat. I don't know who is waging the war on this company, but people should be concerned. I'm not seeing much of that expressed here.
Nice! Hedge funds need folks like you.
Some folks here didn't think we would see 4's. Hello 3's. Falling knives can be dangerous things to play with. Curious to see the new financing terms after the 20% drop.
It's amazing to me how some of the brightest minds on this board brush off concerns as nothing but bashing, whining, crying, whimpering, etc., but fail to recognize the severe threat that lack of financing could present to this company in the future.
I see my error. I meant to connect the institutional selling to what must be known by many from the open trial and the lack of insider buying since 2012 as more of a general observation.
I have since been told that insider buying is absolutely meaningless and that insiders cannot purchase shares if they know anything that isn't public knowledge. So, I guess I will just drop the subject and resume my study of the science to once again convince myself why I ever bought this in the first place.
I haven't sold a share. You made assumptions based on what you thought to be true. I've noticed that happens often around here.
I am wearing thin (if you haven't noticed). Yes, I know it is biotech and it is to be expected blah blah blah. Something good needs to happen and soon. Or the next dulition will be in the 2's.
I don't see any insider purchases in 2013 or 2014. Now do you see my point?
www.investopedia.com/terms/i/insider-buying.asp
The purchase of shares of stock in a corporation by someone who is employed by the company. Insider buying should not be confused with insider trading. Insider trading refers to corporate insiders trading on private information, an activity that is illegal. However, insider buying is based on public information in a situation where insiders believe that their stock is undervalued.
Wouldn't you agree that most execs believe their company has a bright future? And they all have intimate knowledge of the inner-workings, much more so than the common investor. So how is any company exec able to legally buy stock? If there is material information that becomes known by insiders aren't they required to release it to the public?
“If a drug in a trial is working, _______ would know about it and they would be betting the farm and the stock price would be soaring.”
I don’t recall anyone around here saying the price would be soaring if insiders were buying. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
I would like to fill the blank in with a couple of groups and see where this goes. I totally disagree with your opinion regarding company executives. Granted, I probably haven’t been around as many wealthy people, so I may not be as intimate with their outlook on life. I have observed a fair amount of executive behavior in the market, so I’ll base my opinion on that. Here are a few large insider buys for the month of September.
online.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3024-insider1.html
You will find large public company insider buys any month you want to look at. Now, I’m guessing most of these folks are probably already very wealthy. Yet they are buying stock in their company. Why is this? Maybe they feel the stock is undervalued and is a good investment. Maybe they want to instill some investor confidence with their actions (hey I believe in the company and you should too).
There are many reasons why wealthy company execs buy stock on the open market and it happens all the time. Of course they are not hovering over the stock price hour by hour and that isn’t the point. If you can find me any evidence of a wealthy CEO, CFO or any other board member that has said,
“wow our stock is a steal right now! We have huge catalysts coming in the next year it is going to soar. But really, I already have enough money, why bother buying any more stock.”
I feel your argument on this point is rather weak on many levels.
Now let’s try filling in the blank with some other entities you didn’t mention; large investment firms, financial companies, hedge funds, wealthy individual investors. If they knew it was working (or not), would they be betting on it or against it? Absolutely! Of course they would be. They want to make money. So how would they possibly know what is going on in an open or blinded trial? Surely they don’t have people on the inside that would be sharing this information, that’s just a conspiracy theory right? Well unfortunately not:

and

I could go on, but I think you get my point. Big money has contacts everywhere. Sometimes they get caught, but most of the time they don’t.
Maybe I was too kind in my first response to your post. Google insider trading, figure out what you are talking about, then get back to me. Are you saying the reason they aren't buying is because they don't want to deal with the hassle of reporting the activity to the SEC?
The direct trial is unblinded. MD Anderson knows what's going on, every doctor involved and everyone they talk to know what's going on. Nwbo knows what is going on. Smart money is selling and no insiders (or anyone else save a few on this board) are buying.
