JANICE, you still have never offered any info from your "miner friend" from up north. Well MY contact W Gale (geologist from McGill University) just returned from a Mineral/Gemstone Symposium at the Colorado School of Mines outside Denver (ever hear of it??). The professors there commented that in five years they will rewrite the textbooks stating that the Saskatchawan Province of Canada will be considered the richest field of minerals and gemstones found on Earth. Oh I forgot Janice, these cerebral professor types are in on this "scam" too. Any comments from your "miner friend"??? Please Janice let your cynical answers fly....it's only a matter of time my dear....LOL.

ROCKETRED... Sask gets the -30 to -40 weather in the winter ... which equals 85 to 90 in Ecuador at the same time. Gold, zinc, uranium...oh yes, maybe diamonds, it's called diversification in BOTH hemispheres.

MACH, I was more pissed about the refiling fee than the reverse splits....really feel bad about the $13K loss....hey maybe we can arrange a Baily/Teneres visit together. I'll provide your muscle...LOL.

OT: MACH, checking my Freetrade Acct history, I found that I was assessed a $40 refiling fee each time Gateway went thru the two reverse splits ($80 total). Dis that happen to you??? Boy, talk about rubbing salt in the wound...1 million shares down to 1 and it costs $80 in the process....not a happy camper to say the least.

NO PROBLEMS....though it's not good news, that is some good DD on your part - thank you. Only positive explanation I have is that maybe these particular claims did not show many anomalies in the TDEM imaging....just a long shot guess. It just seems strange with the drilling going 24/7, they would let potentially good claims elapse.

I appreciate that HOGPOUND! Unfortunately, I was more careful with my parents portfolio than my own....LMAO.

HOGPOUND....based on money market rates, the GE divy is good. My Mom's bond funds were up 27%....the REITS up 34% (real estate is hot!)...and emerging stocks (ERICY, SIRI, ADSX) up in the 45% range....as you can see from the percentages, a majority of her money was in the bond funds for safety...by the way...the bond funds were sold recently with half the money in gold funds and half in oil recovery stocks (commodities). FYI

AL...had a similar situation three years ago with restricted divys. After a year there is still a restriction on cashing in..a certain percentage of the issued shares at one time. After a year the "rush to the gates" does not exist if the stock has appreciated. Human nature is to get as much as you can (GREED). Believe it or not Al, the problem is when the shares are UNRESTRICTED....people have a tendency to cash in for immediate profit. JMHO.

Let's look at the big pic....42% gain in her NON-BLUECHIP portfolio versus your one year BLUECHIP portfolio return. If your return is better, I will kindly defer to you! GE???? Yes, "great return" over the past year.......those employees have not had anything to crow about over their matching 401Ks either. Have a good day!

ALGEE57....read into the sentence Al...."divys which she has more confidence in cashing in..." of course she knows it's at least a year. But after watching her BLUECHIP Lucent tumble from $77 down to her cash out of $38, she figures with the commodity boom which is beginning, she will hold on to those divys more than a year.....and make good money!!!!

Wake up fella, the tables have turned since the dot.com bubble....no long term investing....but trading. Ask any of the poor slobs who worked at BLUECHIP companies like Enron, WorldCom or Lucent to name a few......ask them how thier 401Ks are doing. My parents lost 30% of their BLUECHIP portfolio over the last four years. They put their money in bond funds and REITS with 25% TRADING emerging stocks and some pennies with potential. Up 42% in the last year. Oh yes, my Mom is up 44% with her CMKX divys which she has more confidence in cashing in on than her former Lucent stock. Smell the coffee....you've been on the farm too long.

MACH: OT on Gateway Distributors......today when I was scrutinizing my Freetrade Transactions over the last six months, I noticed hidden in the numbers were TWO $20 Miscellaneous Transaction Fees when the June and Sept reverse splits took place. I was livid about this scam beforehand....but seeing those charges really blew me up. MACH did you, or any other GWAD holder on this board, get socked with this charge in your account???? TIA!!

PROSPECTOR....I may be wrong, but it is my understanding that Rendall Williams can lift the restriction at anytime. Now the scuttlebut is that UCAD is hoping for an AMEX listing by the end of the year. With the listing plus revenues coming in from the Ecuadorian gold fields, that would seem to be a good time to lift the restriction since the stock would really run hard then. JMHO!!!!!
