Federal, just to be accurate...specialists DO see the book above and below and in that sense have an advantage to buy or sell with tight stop out points. But they do NOT have inside information. There is a huge chinese wall between them and the research dept/ block desk. If they are shown a big buy or sell order by ANYONE, their hands are tied to not buy or sell on balance until they are told that the big buyer or seller has filled. They are just traffic cops matching up orders during those times. They are also not allowed to initiate plus tick buys or minus tick sells.
Ney was on the floor one time and asked how do you know if it is a buy or a sell. We politely told him that every trade was both, but a plus tick bid could be considered an aggressive buy and a minus tick offer could be considered an aggressive sell. He had an agenda to sell subscriptions to his service.
Over the years I saw many specialists go out of business by getting stubborn, just like any normal investors. Their advantage is not as great as you may think. (I am happily retired by NOT getting stubborn).
Hope this helps,
Vic
Brent, Thank you. I've been able to get 400k shares in the .05 range the last few minutes. Unreal!!
Best to you,
Vic
beigledog, ERGO,
Thank you. I'm always on the lookout for plays like ergo and anii. I agree, we have to wait for the Def Proxy. Calling the broker to transfer shares from beneficial (street) name to individual record holder status is a minor pain. I wonder if they would achieve their goal of fewer than 300 holders by doing it that way.
Vic
Next time you call Ken tell him to put the right ticker symbol on the PR's. Not ANY of them are hitting NWOG. And since NDOL is invalid, a lot of eyes are not seeing ANY PR's.
Marks37,
You said: "BTW, I did not lose a cent..."
That reminded me of an old saying on the floor:
"He who trades in his head can only lose his mind".
If only Rufus Paul Harris had gone to the UPDA school of hype he might still be sitting high, lol.
They have stepped up the pace more recently. On 8/4/06 the o/s was 195,063,108. On 11/1/06 it was 282,827,306.
Increase in O/S = 87,764,198 shares in 12 weeks.
That's 7,313,683 more shares per week.
Authorized Shares (A/S) = 2 Billion, I wonder how long before they reach it?
All equity financing is done with stock valued at .002 to .01.
Why pay more?
This is a trading vehicle, but not an investment imo.
Best to you,
Vic
ERGO.OB more notes/correction.
Disregard the recent qtr loss. That was old notes from q2. Q3 actually showed small profit, which makes it look even better imo.
Also, BV = 1.85 after adjusting for Preferred stock.
There has only been preliminary proxies so far. Still waiting on Definitive Proxy.
Vic
Starboy,
That is an obvious high volume bail/bottom imo. I will be surprised if we don't see a short term recovery high of .15 in the next month on a technical basis with no news. Much higher with good news now that weak hands have been flushed out.
Vic
S/R, thank you also. Please call or email Ken to get NWOG firing on all cylinders down the road. I think bottom is in place here and picked up 140k from .081 to .075 today. About .078 avg.
Best of luck to you,
Vic
ERGO.OB (Last .65) to buy out minority shareholders (199 shares or less) for 2.10 cash. New Proxy:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1158846/000110465906078992/a06-24825_1prer14a.htm
Some quick notes;
Recent qtr loss of 1.3 mil was 1.1 mil worth of currency translation. Actual loss was 221k.
Post Sarbox savings of 2 mil for 07 and 08 and 1.8 mil ea year after. That would be ~1.7 mil profit/5.8 million shares o/s = .29 per share profit projected per year 2007 and 2008. Not bad for a .65/.70 stock.
William Comfort willing to buy 119k shares at 2.10. Possible 3rd party to buy any excess beyond that.
1.3 million shares of treasury stock was bought for avg 1.80.
BV = 3.17
I may play this much bigger than 199 shares in a few accounts, lol.
Vic
I emailed Ken at Empire. The wrong ticker symbol of NDOL.PK is why the NWOG.PK news is not hitting Yahoo finance.
"NEW YORK, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 1, 2006 -- North-West Oil Group (Other OTC:NDOL.PK - News)"
Others may want to call/email also to draw his attention to and fix that.

Letter From Jesus Christ, concerning His birthday celebration.
Dear children,
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking
My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually
born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors
who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan
festival. Although I do appreciate being remembered anytime. How I personally feel
about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of
you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day.
If you want to celebrate My birth just, GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
Now, having said that let Me go on.
If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene
depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and
snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My
followers did that, there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town
square because there would be so many of them all around town.
Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a
holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You
can & may remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if
you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching explaining who I am in
relation to you & what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one,
look up John 15: 1 - 8.
If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is
my wish list. Choose something from it.
1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday
is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away
from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know,
they tell Me all the time.
2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them
personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.
3. Instead of writing George complaining about the wording on
the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that
you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up. It will
be nice hearing from you again.
4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't
afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My
birth, and why I came to live with you down there. Hold them in your arms and
remind them that I love them.
5. Pick someone who has hurt you in the past and forgive him or
her.
6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take
their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you
don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile, it
could make the difference. Also, you might consider supporting the local
Hot-Line: they talk with people like that every day.
7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town
calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm
smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry
Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there
on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd
close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families.
8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary,
especially one who takes My love & Good News to those who have never
heard My name. You may already know someone like that.
9. Here's a good one. There are individuals & whole families in your
town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they
have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them (and I suspect
you don't) buy some food & a few gifts & give them to the Marines, the
Salvation Army or some other charity that believes in Me & they will make the
delivery for you.
10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and
loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret
that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that
you are one of mine.
P.S Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me
and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest.
Check out the list above & get to work; time is short. I'll help you.
Have a most blessed Christmas with all those
your loved ones and remember,
I LOVE YOU,
JC

Brent, that would be great.
Best wishes,

If you look at the assets/revenue projections per share...AURC is the clear winner as the most potential future value imho.
I buy 10k aurc to every 2k NWOG at this time. (Add some NNRF to complete the undervalued Russian trifecta).
IMO all 3 should be a part of any high risk/reward portfolio at this time.
Brent would probably throw SPRL in there to make it the Russian grand slam, lol.
Best of luck to you,
Vic
AURC is looking to have 300 mil in revenues in 2007 and 700 mil in 2008. If we project about 1 bil in 2009 and leveling off somewhat, then we are looking at about 5 to 5 1/2 years to process the 4.5 billion worth of stockpiled tailings.
2007 eps approx .85
2008 eps approx 2.00
2009 eps approx 3.00
All imho,
Good luck,
Vic
jtomm, nice write up on the CHID possibilities. I sold out today and took it off my streamer. Once a company becomes "weird" and unpredictable in a bad way I'm done with them. Too distracting.
Good luck,
Vic
Thanks Bliz82.
A primer for others:
How can a Troy Ounce be more than an ounce ?
Precious metals such as gold and silver are often sold by the troy ounce. Many people don’t realize that an ounce of gold is more than the typical ounce found at the grocery store. In many English speaking countries there are two systems for measuring weight.
One, for precious metals, called the troy ounce.
The other is for Commodities such as sugar, grains, and the typical grocery items. It is called the avoirdupois ounce. Here in the USA we often use the avoirdupois ounce. Every time you step on the scale at home, or weight food found in the grocery, you use the avoirdupois ounce weight system. There are 16 avoirdupois ounces in a pound.
Avoirdupois weights - An Avoirdupois pound is equal to about 453.6 grams, or 14.583 troy ounces. 1 avoirdupois ounce = 437.5 grains, or 28.35 grams. 1 avoirdupois pound equals 16 (avoirdupois) ounces or 453.59 grams. That is the equivalent to 14.58 "troy" ounces.
So what do you get when you buy an ounce ?
The troy ounce is heavier than the typical grocery store (avoirdupois) ounce used in the USA. When you purchase a 1 ounce silver or gold coin, you are receiving a "troy" ounce. If you put that same 1 troy oz. coin on a grocery store scale you will find that it weighs about 10% more than the food ounce you are familiar with. It will weigh about 1.1 avoirdupois ounces. Consequently, a grocery store pound which weighs 16 avoirdupois ounces (or 453.59 grams) will contain about 14.58 troy ounces.
Separately, the troy weight system has it's own definition of a "troy" pound. A "troy pound" contains 12 troy ounces or 373.24 grams (which is over 13 avoirdupois ounces).
It is thought that the troy ounce was named after a weight system used in Troyes France during the Middle Ages.
Troy weights - One troy ounce = 480 grains, or 31.10 grams.
There are also 20 pennyweights to a troy ounce. A troy pound contains 12 troy ounces (over 13 avoirdupois ounces) and is equivalent to 373.24 grams. 32.15 troy ounces = 1 kilogram.
Perhaps an easy way to compare Troy ounces versus avoirdupois ounces is to look at how they weigh using the metric system.
One troy ounce weighs
31.1 grams
One avoirdupois ounce weighs
28.35 grams
How to convert regular (avoirdupois) ounces to a troy ounce
Use this formula for an approximation to convert grocery store type weights to troy ounces.
Multiply # regular ounces X .912 to get approximate # troy ounces
Examples: A grapefruit weighs 4.5 avoirdupois ounces.
4.50 x .912 = 4.10 troy ounces.
Ten troy ounces are equivalent to about 10.96 regular ounces. Because each troy ounce is heavier, it would take almost 11 regular ounces to equal ten troy ounces.
Note: All weights and formulas are approximate.
Most gold and silver bullion type coins, including the US SILVER EAGLE dollar coins and the AMERICAN GOLD EAGLES coins, are weighed in troy ounces.
Corrected values. Gold, Platinum and Silver are quoted in Troy ounces, which are slightly heavier than a normal ounce. There are 32.15 Troy ounces in 1 Kilogram.
Gold 80,000 Kilos = 2,572,000 troy ounces @ $635 = $1,633,220,000
Platinum 40,000 Kilos = 1,286,000 troy ounces @ $1,150 = $1,478,900,000
Silver 1,000,000 Kilos = 32,150,000 troy ounces @ $13.5 = $434,025,000
Cobalt 10,400 tonnes = 22,900,000 pounds @ $15.0 = $343,500,000
Moly 3,000 tonnes = 6,600,000 pounds @ $26.0 = $171,600,000
Tellur 12,000 tonnes = 26,450,000 pounds @ $30.0 = $793,500,000
Total = $4,854,745,000
VV, I became turned off when I saw mgmt had granted themselves 100 million shares at .01. At the time the share price was .24!
Options at the current price are one thing, but that was the most blatant greed I had ever seen.
One thing for sure...as a trader you can always count on a pump PR from these guys on a regular basis. It's just that the trading parameters keep getting lower and lower. Next time around buy at .03 and sell at .07...then buy at .02 and sell at .05 etc etc.
Good luck to you,
Vic
Lowman, you can put me in for $100 towards the cause. Whilst admin didn't like what you did (obviously), I thought it was a valient effort on behalf of the kids.
Vic
What if he was pushing hard to win on behalf of his charity? I don't know lowman, but I would like to know the motive here. If he did it for others I find it admirable. If for personal ego reasons, I find it not so admirable. Gamesmanship at worst though. Jmho, Vic
Golddust1,
I really don't want to see AURC drop any more in price and cause anguish to those that are long here. But I won't sit idly by and not take advantage of extreme discounts to fair value. Even if it's New Consult hedging their financing for a lousy 10% lock in gains, I think we know the bigger picture here.
FWIW, I think that New Consult may have had about 40 million shares to unload and are done or very close to done.
JMHO and best of luck to you,
Vic
I was loaded up at .105 and didn't get any.
Len,
Thanks. I never noticed that before.
Vic
Len, where does one look to see who did the 15mm post?
With over 16000 acres in the Lisbon Valley, CWYR would have an excellent chance at having uranium on their property on top of the 20+ million barrels of 3D seismic identified oil and gas.
Uranium prices have gone through the roof lately, making CWYR's acreage VERY attractive right now.
Vic
Interesting article about uranium in CWYR's area of the Paradox basin. I understand that lease rates per acre have jumped over 1000% in the last few months in the Lisbon Valley (Where CWYR is). This may be one of the reasons why.
Article found by HonestInjun on the PanTerra board.

H.I., thanks for the Paradox article. Please feel free to email me any response to PM's if you think it doesn't belong here on the Panterra board.
Looking forward to hearing from you after your trip to the Paradox basin area.

Currently there is enough convertible preferred stock to convert into over 7 billion shares.
All equity financing is done with stock valued at .002 to .01.
That is the price range UPDA is headed toward imo.
These greedy guys disgust me.
Vic
Eik, my SLJB crapshoot on friday (200k at .03) is coming up craps today. I really thought Petar would put something on the website over the weekend. Not A/F's mind you, but SOME kind of clarifying statement to the effect that there was still a viable business here.
I still think that eventually he'll say something, so I'll hold at least until then.
Major ouch in the meantime,
Vic
Well, I picked up 200k SLJB at the close as a crap shoot that the reality will not be as bad as the perception.
I don't think we'll see the A/F's anytime soon, but WILL get clarifying statements from Petar over the weekend.
GL all,
Vic
H.I., welcome aboard and thanks,
Vic
(Brent got your email too).
Hopefully you'll get a nice bounce here. I am most disturbed that Petar said the "facts" were true. That means there is nobody else on the Board of Dirctors except lawyer Khan who claims to know little of the business. He also said that the unaudited financials should never have been released. That nullifies their reliability imho.
I'm anxious to see the real A/F's if and when they are posted. (As I'm sure many are).
Best of luck to you and all here.

SLJB One of the Most Highly Traded Stocks in North America: CEO Responds to Negative Journalism
WINDSOR, ON, Nov 16, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Sulja Bros. Building Supplies Ltd. (PINKSHEETS: SLJB) today is responding to an article published in the Windsor Star, a newspaper local to the headquarters of SLJB. What follows is a statement from the CEO of SLJB, Mr. Petar Vucicevich:
As the most recent newspaper article printed in the Windsor Star might illustrate, I find myself having to waste an enormous amount of time explaining to our shareholders certain quips and accusations about my personal idiosyncrasies and character deficiencies that are simply not productive in the light of our everyday business. It is clear that this article attempts to portray me in a less then flattering way, and if Mr. Gary Rennie (author of the article) is left to expound these utterly boring and cookie-cutter floggings within the mill of journalistic sensationalism, the attempt would appear to be succeeding. For reasons beyond my understanding, Mr. Rennie, the author of this piece, seemingly does not like me very much, and perhaps he feels he has stumbled onto something worthy of his experience-tempered scathing. Referring to me as "Black Pete," making reference to the vehicle I drive, and lamenting over the state of the appearance of my office by alerting everyone... everywhere... that there was "furniture tipped over" serves no purpose in presenting the truth of our company's business. This type of "spin-doctoring" not only portrays me as shady (something to which I normally would not personally concern myself), but it also encourages our shareholders to think something is scandalous, and in fact, deliberate in its intent to be so. Mr. Rennie had many opportunities to visit our Harrow operations and provide many pictures of a busy and successful enterprise but chose to show a photo of me... and I happen to think the Harrow staff is more photogenic...
As far as the current dilapidative state of Kore's office in Windsor, anybody walking into that place would clearly see that it is under renovations... a complete make-over no less. It is undergoing the same process that I and many other business owners in that area feel should be applied to a great number of structures in the immediate vicinity. Perhaps it is not as nice an office as Mr. Rennie's but I like it. You would think that the appearance of such scarcity and dishevelment would please him knowing that I am not allowing my "flamboyance" to dictate my business decisions. The fact that the office is understaffed at this time is due to the renovation... and not a lack of substance or employees in our dealings, as implied.
In response to the RCMP officers with whom I met, I made it clear to Mr. Rennie that this was explained to me as a routine investigation, and that every new company offering shares in the market is subject to this type of review, particularly if the company's shares were reaching volume benchmarks on the exchange. I personally provided this information to Mr. Rennie, including the investigators' names. Clearly, I was not being evasive in any way during my interview. In fact, I can say with certainty that most of the information in the article was provided by me. I am sorry to feel compelled to aver to the public that the information was simply presented poorly and in a self-serving, grandstanding manor. I would have hoped that a respectable organization like the Windsor Star would have been a little more considerate of the facts prior to publishing these statements. Although all the "facts" are true, the clearly evident misrepresentation of them in the article serves no other purpose than the same monotonous sensationalism seen in nearly every publication in North America.
Finally, we released information recently regarding our audited financials and their availability to the public viewing. We missed the deadline... due in part to the necessity of handling negative accusations such as the one I speak to now. As soon as is practicably foreseeable, we will release the financial documents for all to see, as promised. For we have nothing to hide, as always. And we have no desire to hide "all of that nothing."
