Problem boards should have an independent moderator installed!
Or, to keep messages in logical order
An automatic post simply stating "Message #_________ has been restored" could be generated
This too would make it harder for mods to scroll a restored message way down the page(s) and out of sight/mind.
The curious would look to see what had happened providing a little quick social justice to the deleteeeeee(*)
(*)Rhymes with Wheeeeee!
CHDO closed Green! on an Uptick!
In the last hour of trading, or non-trading as the case may be, an unknown hero stepped in to purchase 10,000 shares of CHDO stock at .0181 thus besting the previous trade by .0001! This gave us a green close on an uptick!
And what was the difference to our hero between paying .0180 and .0181 for 10k shares.
Why it was one whole dollar!!!!
You just can't make this stuff up. (LOL)
Another neat Mod trick to hide restored posts
Is, once a post has finally been restored and reappears somewhere down the page, the mod simply posts a spate of "noise" posts, or "cut and pastes" thus scrolling the flagrantly visible affront to his/her ego right off the page ....... to reside on its posterior for posterity!
Excellent!, If anyone tries to block my posts
I now know how to foil them! The PM message block option is now officially sick, if not dead. Thanks for the help.
OK Adren, I'll take care of it.
I'll probably publish the predictions one more time "soon" to take care of any corrections, and then we'll wait and see.
"U", I like your S/A
As a matter of fact I had considered using a filter on the data, after glancing at the range. However, I decided it was not right for me to do anything that might be considered as slanting the results toward a perceived agenda.
Removal of that single high/low smooths the variation, particularly relative to the EOY 2008 data. I'm glad you posted it.
I did feel that the more conservative numbers of the new predictions reflected nicely the change in the perhaps overly optimistic sentiment prevalent on the board earlier this year.
And even your more modest averages would still be great to see!
Thanks for your input!
Dan, I blew that one right by you
The question was not how to stifle "Old Man" nor even "Pesky Poster" who could simply enlist another sucker to bypass my ban of its posts.
The question was, how does the board view the ethics of bypassing, or assisting in bypassing, a ban.
Hey, it looks like a fun and sneaky tool to add to my toolbox so if you see nothing wrong with it .......???
Adren, your post appears to be missing
where, I believe, you felt that you hadn't revised the numbers. If this was inadvertently deleted, Admin is in agreement with the contest posts being on-topic and you can ask to have it restored. Or simply re-post the info.
Anyway, you had revised your numbers:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=28305020
and those were the numbers I used, but if you feel that your original was a typo, or if you'd prefer the 0.26, just let me know. I'm easy
Did I make a typo Adren?
I'll enter the corrected .026 and post one final update as soon as I'm sure we have all the corrections on board. If I've only made one goof, it'll be a miracle.
Thanks
Stirring the Pot! Here's a TOU ethics question
Without going into details or revealing message content except as it pertains to this question, a couple of days ago I received a PM from one of our old timers attaching a PM from another poster. I was informed that this was being done because I had the original poster blocked.
Well, if I had the original poster blocked, it had to be for some reason, good, bad or indifferent, ne c'est pas? If the poster felt that the block was inadvertent, an open message on the appropriate board quoting the old ExLax plea, "Please unblock me, Let me go" would have sufficed.
So shall we open this can and let the worms gallop freely about the boards "worming" their way into mailboxes through the violated sanctity of the (ta-da) Personal Message?
I am not asking for lethal injection for the miscreants in this case, nor even the worser punishment of banishment from Ihub; just an opinion:
Is this a great and legitimate way to circumvent the rules, or simply a fun way to screw with the spirit of the rules?
??? I don't see a problem
Is the chart not showing correctly on your browser?
The "Black Box" price appears competitive
particularly in light of the tendency for MSRP's to be discounted on electronic gadgets. The unfortunate part is that, here again, availability carries the implied dreaded curse of "soon" while other safe-storage devices are already being sold.
That was a very nice article, but once again, how much more effective would it have been were the product on the shelf?
(That was a rhetorical question.)
Contest Review - please check your entry
If I have misquoted your predictions or included any other typos that need correction, please don't hesitate to scream. I might even correct the error. (LOL)

Porky, You're right about the timing
At the moment Car 81 appears to be nothing more than a vapid conceit. Introduce (and I mean on the shelves) the tools, get some cooperative advertising to let the public know the items exist, and then, and only then, start flashing the STPtools name before the circus
Start with "Baby Steps" (LOL)
Perhaps the corporate reasoning behind this peculiar inverted method of product introduction is based on a chant we used back in my days as a TSD Rally driver:
"When in Confusion,
When in Doubt,
Race in Circles,
Scream and Shout!"
It's a shame, but it does appear that Talladega which is one of the great Nascar events, will be wasted once again on "vapor tools".
"U", your predictions are archived, ready to insert
into the contest format. Your "schedule" is sensible, let's just hope the company will be. (LOL)
I hope to have the Pyrex Ball's batteries fully charged this weekend and ready to make some short term predictions next week. Right now, every time I flip it over it says something obtuse like "Maybe", or "That Could Happen" or "Don't Hold Your Breath"! I may have to go out and bounce it hard off the old backboard tomorrow to shake it out of its snit!
Porky, you already gave me one revision
back on April 6th, your newest one is considerably different.
Why don't you take another look at the two of them and let me know which you prefer to go with.
Here are the references:

Let me know by Sunday evening and I'll honor your wishes.
Thanks!
Bill, there was a good reason for that,
and that's because the display ain't been displayed yet.
I believe you may have seen a reference to a previous list that was posted the other day. As I posted earlier the updated contest entries (including yours)will be out on Monday or Tuesday.
And thanks again for your entry.
Note to all: deadline for contest entries approaches!
As of Sunday, April 20th, at midnight we'll be closing the 2008 CHDO price prediction contest to further updates.
So if you want to enter the contest, modify your old predictions, or resign from the competition, please let me know by then. The easiest way is an open post on the board but PM's are acceptable also, except for resignations.
(A resignation submitted via a PM would not, and could not, be seen by the other contestants and thus might lead to a suspicion that the missing predictions of that entrant had been deliberately and unilaterally erased.)
"U" The deadline for entries is Sunday midnight
I'll try to get the data up on Monday, or Tuesday latest. I'd like to include some simple statistics along with them to show, for example, how sentiment may have changed relative to the time it is going to take for all of us to become millionaires!!!
Porky, I agree 100%
Far from helping the cause, the poorly timed, amateurish, mistake ridden PR's and other announcement from the executive office of this corporation have done nothing to help the shareholders.
The worst of this ineptitude shows in the timing. Race cars, web sites, trade shows and exhibitions touting "vapor products" are counterproductive. Remember all the hype about the tiles? About the trade shows? About the huge generator contracts with not one but two Chinese manufacturers? (And that didn't include CPS). Great things that were going to be done but never were. The cry of "Wolf" has been heard too often throughout the land; by now I'd expect to spot, at least, one genuine little Coyote!
I don't know if duct tape would be too severe but something needs to be done to stifle this enervating litany of unproductive propaganda that continually promises more phantom dates or the ever popular, and consistently updated "SOON". The latest case appears to be the potential introduction of a new "unique" product soon which appears to be simply another entrant in an already crowded field of similar, if not exactly identical, products. (But the bamboo box sounds nice)
We desperately need a PR with a fait accompli encompassing more than six lonely air compressors on a shelf.
Sorry for the rant, but my incoming hype tolerance indicator redlined recently.
Hang in there, things will get better!
Thanks for your entries Mike,
I understand Lucy, I believe everyone does.
No need to keep resigning, it's been taken care of.
GLTY
Lucy as requested, your contest entry is canceled.
But please, I can't claim any credit for this contest which you conceived and submitted to the board. Because of the continued interest by most entrants, I have simply carried on your good work.
We'll miss your participation.
Downticked! Bid back at .018, asking .019
Back to watching the paint dry!
Oops, it didn't last!
Lookie, Lookie, Lookie, Green, Green, Green!
The assault on the .02's has begun.
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Sorry Adren, I was fascinated watching a race
between paint drying and CHDO getting off a trade, so I guess I did have far too much time on my hands.
"Should we listen?" The ball says ......."Maybe!" (LOL)
Porky, no more predictions till next week.
But I'll try to answer your question then.
Hang in there.
Porky, like that Pyrex Ball? You'll love this!
I previously posted today about the excitement exactly one year ago when the stock rose to close at .0325.
Check this out:
Before the close on that day (04/17/2007) I posted the following:
If the momentum isn't sustained
Look for a sell-off tomorrow morning around 11:15 as the traders cash in their chips.
Don't get caught again!
Naturally, making a prediction to the minute drew some flak but the next day (04/18/2007) I was able to post:
My crystal ball needs a tune-up!
It was off by 2 minutes today.
Yesterday I predicted a possible sell-off starting at 11:15 today.
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=18862690
But it was at 11:17 that the stock dropped on a downtick and never traded higher all day.
Sorry if I mislead anyone.
--------------------------------------------
Of course I had fresh batteries in the ball at that time but the doubters didn't know that And I did say "around" 11:15.
Here are the URL's to the posts:

Enjoy!
Oops, duplicate message, I killed it
Batteries are low on the ball, Porky
It won't reach out as far as 2009 at the moment; perhaps later in the year?
If by a h.o.y. you mean for 2008, sure the ball definitely sees one coming. After all, we only have to crack through the high for 2008 which was set on the first trading day of the year. If they can't do that, we're dead!
If you mean a 12 month h.o.y. based on surpassing the previous .059 by late October, that's a horse race! I'll hold off on a definite prediction on that until near, or at, the end of this quarter. At the moment my best guess for closing above .059 would have to be sometime during the second week of August, but that could change for the better if they suddenly get off the pot.
I've got new batteries ordered for the ball but it's a real job to crack open that Pyrex shell so bear with me.
I forgot to include the URL for "yesteryear"

One year ago today .......Wow!
The train was leaving the Wheeeeeville station and the excitement was intense!
The CHDT(CHDO) board on April 17th, 2007 recorded over 250 messages on that day alone. A respectable 2,800,817 shares of the stock traded and CHDO closed up at .0325!
Jubilation ruled the day. Despite the fact that a sizable number of posts were authored by a relative handful of posters, the overwhelming majority of all posts was positive.
But perhaps there were some lessons to be gained relative to what you find on bulletin boards?
(1) It was months later that the stock ever closed again as high as .0325!
(2) Within 30 day, CHDO had lost roughly 33% of its value. Rather than "assault the .04's" it had "retreated to the .02's".
(3) A lot of those who were most vocal at the time about the prospects for the future disappeared completely from the board within a few weeks, most never to be heard from again.
(4) Those few with the temerity to advise caution on that day were relegated to the equivalent of the guest of honor at a Lord of the Flies party. (Spears and all!)
Who says we can't learn from the past? (LOL)
Me too, Porky (LOL)
Pat, if I may reassure you,
some of us said as far back as November that CHDO would trade "flat", and mainly in the two's, for several months. Thus, for the moment at least, the present pps is not out of line. This estimate was based at least partially on an analysis which took into account just how quickly the company could, in the cold, harsh light of reality, bring product to market. The biggest problem has been a series of poorly worded and poorly timed PR's and other corporate drivel which raised unrealistic expectations.
If we could get the company to "chill" and release only real progress reports instead of overly optimistic "soon's", I believe everyone would be a little more confident. It is their failure to comply with "schedules", whether real or imagined by those here, that seems to be discouraging many at this time.
So, once again that hackneyed cry of encouragement, "Patience"!
Nice recovery!
As concerns contacting CHDT/Capstone directly, some comments:
(1) It appears that the executive does monitor this board and therefore they receive the benefit of posters' opinions, whether pro or con. Thus there is little to gain by direct contact, and a lot to be said for open discussion, as opposed to discrete communications.
(2) Those who have asked questions of the company, and have posted the answers on this board, have too often seen those answers turn out to be embarrassingly "untimely", to say the least.
(3) As members of this CHDO community, no one should post a torrent of mindless praise for the company nor should they ever knowingly post false information that might be detrimental to its success. This includes unverified information received from the company.
(4) Notwithstanding the above, it behooves those who are able to postulate an informed analysis to share the information with their fellows on this board in an unprejudiced forum open to debate, regardless of where the chips may fall. The company should already have the same information, and more, if they are competent.
(5) Last and most important: The shareholders are not responsible to the company; the company is responsible to the shareholders, who are also the owners.
