Eamon...with all respect, but we often find hidden things like this one MONTHS too late, that doesn´t mean that this is not an outstanding find!
The remaining question is
Does HP use the NTRU TSS for Broadcom 1.2 TPMs or the Infineon TSS?

D: If we assume that it takes Dell 3Qs (Latitude 610 until mid of Nov) to ship the new models in full quantity you´re right on the EXSISTING models. We know (from the BC in vienna) that the new Optiplex 745C with Vpro will be introduced in January. I´m sure that several other (new) models from DELL, GTW and INTEL will be introduced next year. So these models will add to our bottom line, not in full quantity but a few at least. But like you, I don´t think we´ll reach BE on bundlings alone from our exsisting OEMs. Perhaps there are other OEMs in the pipeline...
G: Well, spoken for me, I´m not angry about WAVX and the SP. Things have never looked better, we all should not forget, that we´ll triple our revs at least. IMO our revs will rise four fold compared to 2005. Not bad for me!

Siemens Introduces Upgraded Digital Remote Fluoroscopy Solution with Dynamic Flat Detector Technology
Wednesday November 29, 9:00 am ET
System Designed to Address Special Imaging Needs of Obese Patients; Company Also Announces Enhancements to AXIOM Aristos FX Plus Digital Radiography System, Offering More Convenience and Functionality
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Siemens Medical Solutions today introduced the AXIOM Luminos dRF, a new remote fluoroscopy system with flat detector (FD) technology, and announced enhancements to the AXIOM Aristos FX Plus, the company's fully automatic digital radiography system, at the 92nd Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) from Nov. 26 to Dec. 1 (booth #4129) in Chicago. Together, these product innovations reinforce Siemens' workflow leadership in the fluoroscopy and radiography markets.

The AXIOM Luminos dRF*
Siemens AXIOM Luminos dRF is a highly versatile remote radiographic and fluoroscopic solution with dynamic FD technology that makes the system a fully digital solution for enhanced workflow during fluoroscopic and radiographic examinations. The system has been designed to optimize fluoroscopy imaging of obese patients. This is in response to studies that suggest obesity in the U.S. has doubled the instances of inconclusive imaging exams over the past 15 years. With almost 30 percent of U.S. adults now categorized as obese, Siemens developed the AXIOM Luminos dRF to speed workflow for bariatric procedures.
The system can be used for a wide range of patient sizes and minimizes specialty equipment requirements, resulting in improved patient accessibility, faster patient turnaround and, ultimately, an increase in volume. The AXIOM Luminos dRF also includes optimized networking capabilities for documentation and easy integration into the clinical environment.
"The AXIOM Luminos dRF remote radiographic and fluoroscopic solution will greatly improve exam workflow," said Claus Grill, vice president, Angiography, Fluoroscopy and Radiography Systems, Siemens Medical Solutions. "Having the ability to image patients quickly with diagnostic accuracy means that healthcare institutions can increase exam volume and improve staff efficiency without sacrificing the quality of patient care."
The sophisticated system design of the AXIOM Luminos dRF also provides a variable table height along with excellent access to the patient. Improved high table weight capacity now supports up to 500 pounds static, and a robust X-ray tube combined with the large field of view of the FD enables this system to perform a broad range of applications on many different patient types. The AXIOM Luminos dRF fluoroscopy system with FD technology integrates fully digital fluoroscopy and digital radiography in one room.
New Compact Configuration for the AXIOM Aristos FX Plus
Also at RSNA, Siemens announced enhancements to the AXIOM Aristos FX Plus, an upgraded version of its popular predecessor, the AXIOM Aristos FX. The AXIOM Aristos FX Plus has set new standards in patient comfort and examination efficiency. As the first fully automatic digital radiography system, the AXIOM Aristos FX Plus features a new compact footprint with reduced table size requirements and elimination of the system's headrest. Although the system is available with a smaller room configuration, its functionality has not been compromised. Technologists can conveniently operate the system from anywhere in the room using the optional wireless remote control. The wireless remote offers key system features including collimator setting and a tabletop positioning. Additionally, X-ray tube and detector positioning can be controlled from virtually anywhere in the room ensuring exams are not only faster, but also more comfortable for the patient.
"The AXIOM Aristos FX Plus can image an assortment of anatomic regions with ease," said Grill. "The image quality is exquisite and the efficiency of the system is remarkable. This is the solution that the competition will try to emulate."
The flat detector of the AXIOM Aristos FX Plus features a new detector housing and grid management system proven to be highly efficient. Regardless of system position, the new AXIOM Aristos FX Plus grid housing design enables fast and easy grid insertion and removal with a simple push of a button. The system features optimal organ program settings that set optimal parameters for the generator, imaging system and collimator. New patient support hand grips are included for additional comfort and stability, improving patient positioning and image quality. With all new color options, users can custom design the system to suit the clinical environment.
Both the AXIOM Luminos dRF and AXIOM Aristos FX Plus are equipped with CARE, an advanced radiation reduction package that lowers dosage by up to 50 percent over conventional film systems.

"Bleufang....if I may step in at this point here.
IMO you mix up here two things in Waves business model. BOTH, bundling agreements AND upgrades lead to an ONGOING revenue stream!
The little bit I know about how software companies stay alive is THIS fact.
1. Since Microsoft switched to OEM licensing deals, OEMs have to put the OS sticker right onto the machines, so you´ll have to buy the OS everytime you buy a new machine. The same models is Waves ESC and ETSL bundling. Every time you buy a machine you´ll have to buy our .1 or .5 valued software. In a 250M PC market a market share with full TPM penetration in 2010 of about 20% would bring Wave to BE at 6M burn per Q.
2. Upgrades could reach saturation IF every PC in the world has activated the TPM, has our ETSL and the customer has bought an upgrade! BUT here is the VERY important part of upgrade business. Everyone is ALLOWED to use the ETS software on every new machine, BUT only the version he has BOUGHT in the past. So to meet requirements of new OSems or new hardware, you´ll have to closed maintenance/upgrades CONTRACTS with Wave to keep UP-TO-DATE with your ETS Version. Thats the model HOW McAfee and other KEEP ALIVE.
SURE there will come a time, WHEN Waves will give their ESC or ETSL to OEMs for free, BUT at this time there will be enough upgrades out there to live from these annual upgrade contracts."

Hi Micro!
Sorry for the late response, just checked in from my daugthers birthday party. Well since I was far off twice this year and had one hit, it´s no touchy thing for me to express what I would consider as an impressive rev ramp.
If you allow I would like to explain, why IMHO it´s really hard to predict (SKS) or even estimate (Wavoids) what SantaClaus will bring...
We have two very different revenue sources at Wave we´ll have to consider.
1. The bundling agreements. Thats the real EASY part (LOL), cause adding the volumes of ETSL enable DELL, GTW and INTEL models should be a NO brainer. BUT most of us were UGLY wrong and therefore really disappointed (ME INCLUDED). What happened? Well for Q3 most of us waited for the full shipped quantity of 3 Latitude and 3 Precision models a 450K pieces divided by 2 what means 1.35M for Wave PLUS GTW, INTEL and the .1 deals.....
What we´ve seen was a 50% quantity from Dell and others, that would hit our .86M exactly.
Obviously we have to think of a new variable in this static bundling arrangements - the model lifecycle!
So for Q4 I assume about 90% for the Latitudes, 70% for the new Precision models and about 10% for the new Optiplexes.
Lets say 1.1M from Dell, fvurthermore with a similar formular I would say 200K from GTW and Intel and about 100K from .1 ESC deals we don´t know.
- 1.5 bundling for Q4
- .1 other services
2. The really UGLY (for estimation) PART. UPGRADES
Thank God nobody is asking me what we´ll sell next year of our maintenance software. It´s a new market, without historical informations or competition data we can refer to. I can point to our revenues in the past our growth rate and make a FLST how our revs in 2007 will look like.
Waves problem is:
1. NEW PRODUCT
2. NEW SLOWLY FORMING MARKET
3. PARADIGM STATUS NOT STATE of the ART
4. Enterprise CRITICAL sector VERY HOT
5. NO enterprise reference customers YET
6. Competition from the exsisting security companies (OLD BUT GOOD?!)
So I would say every piece of ETS full is great for me, but to believe SKS I would hope for 200K at least for Q4
So all in all, I would say everything above 1.5M would be significant (doubling from Q3) everything under 1.2 would be a red flag!
My guess: 2M
My hope: 2.5M (guess for Trend)
I enjoy your posts too, don´t think that other opinions are less appreciated!
BR
ISPRO
Hi eamon......IMO you´re right on this HINT. We´ve got a similar HINT for the Q2 revs when they released the numbers before the end of the delisting period.
But in a new emerging market I don´t think the current growth of about 55% is the right measurement for estimation of the 2007 revenues. Most of us were disappointed by the Q3 numbers, but we didn´t or refused to notice, that 2005 models were still sold in Q3. So I think the Q4 numbers will tell the story. (I know we all are tired from waiting until next quarter!LOL)
If the Q4 numbers don´t show an impressive increase, something is wrong.
BR
ISPRO
Ramsey...all 2006 models were included in the 50M statement!
BR
ISPRO
Matt......if I may step in here...
IMO the 50M units were for a timeline from mid2006 unit end of 2008. I think SKS spoke of possible 30M upgrades (units shipped) for 2007. So IMO the 50M unit will be at the low end until 2008. IMO 20M units for 2007 would be nearby all of the enterprise systems (DELL, GTW, INTEL) shipped in 2007 and 10M of consumer models (inspiron, dimension).

DonaldDuck.....answer from SKS
Subject:
“Within a year, all operating systems (Mac OX, Windows, and Linux) will support the TPM without third-party add-on software.”
What does he mean?
Will these OS subsume any TPM functionality within the OS?
It would be nice if you could elaborate on this matter.
SKS
I would argue that all the operating systems but mac support it today. But you will need third party software for the foreseeable future to manage the TPM. There are many parts that are fully supported in Windows Server for PKI management but not TPM management. It is quite clear from our understanding that there is a long term role for third party administration of TPM.
Not to say that when it is throwing of billions in revenue that Microsoft won’t subsume it as they have everything else that becomes interesting but we are at the beginning of a very big market and we are focused on moving ultimately to a more services centric role that is still years away.
I will follow though and see if we know Sam
Thanks
Steven
