Added a bit more on the dip...hope it was just someone who sold that is not looking to hold over the long weekend...
I agree.
I think it will be a agreement between Qualcomm and PRKR where they end litigation.
Qualcomm can easily afford to pay PRKR reasonable royalties.
I saw that article earlier today. I think the run up was a bit closer to EOD. Pretty large buys EOD.
I see the AH price bid is now 4.21. Very little volume on this AH or premarket. MM are keeping a tight leash on this one.
Nice pop.
I have not found any new news...has anyone?
Etrade shows 60.00% ownership. I think several institutions bought in recently.
For sellers, they got your shares cheap today.
Institutional investors are buying.
Up 11%!!
When is Qualcomm going to acquire?
Where's everyone at?
Twitter planned well not to end up like FB. Indexes will be buying this for months to come.
I don't know what is riskier, buying this at $45 or shorting it.
Looks like a couple funds bought at EOD today.
So what will happen when less and less of the TWTR pie is up for sale......
Hmmmm...
Low float and high demand will make it hard to short. IMO.
Don't think it will drop down too much before they announce earnings, maybe after.
Once listed on index funds it should stabilize...
I think too many investors are looking at the "POTENTIAL" that TWTR may have in the future, longterm...
GLTA.
First of many indexes that will add TWTR!
Doh!
Shoulda, coulda , woulda bought more at $2.60.
Hmmm... can Qualcomm afford to buy PRKR? Will a company like PRKR who has trouble turning a profit put itself on the selling block??
Hmmm... pure speculation....
Why is this still in the $40s???
Low float, insiders tied up for a few months and those who bought yesterday are long term holders...
IMO.
Accumulating on small dips...
Will be fun to read the motion for injunction or request for royalty payments by Parkervision from Qualcomm.
If everything goes fine for PRKR a possible $2-$3 pop may happen early next year...
GLTA.
Pssst, look at the bids.....
Someone with DEEP pockets sees more upside!
This will be one hell of a IPO if it closes at its high.....
Giggles....
ETF funds starting to buy this ...
Glad opening went rather smoothly...
GLTA.
70 million shares only? I think this is kinda low for TWTR. May have momentum for a couple of days, IMO.
I plan on flipping should I get in at a decent price.
Definitely accumulating on dips with my sell orders in place.
Thanks for all the replies!
Everything is up in the air, but keep in mind that PRKR got a jury to hand them $173 million, not a easy task by any means.
Qualcomm rolled the dice thinking that they could out spend PRKR with REALLY GOOD and expensive attorneys or get a not guilty with the jury. They lost...
Lets see where this heads to.
GLTA.
Why would they go bankrupt when they hold legitimate patents?
I do not see a decision on a injunction entered and no appeal notice filed.
My understanding is that when patents are involved, there is always some negotiating done to stop further litigation.
If Qualcomm appeals, which I think they will, ParkerVision can also appeal the finding that the infringement was not found to be willful. So Qualcomm is taking a risk should they appeal and they know that.
Still have a gut feeling that this will pop above $4.00 for a bit if favorable news for PRKR is released. GLTA.
Still getting redirected to the current company with TWTR stock symbol. I think it is really too close to the IPO date for this to be happening. Just a thought....
Industry leaders are being called to WH to figure out how to reform RE industry WITHOUT getting rid of FMCC or FNMA. This is just speculation from a alert on my brokerage account. GLTA.
PRKR will get bought out by Qualcomm or one of its competitors.
I do not think the $173 million judgment has been entered yet. I wonder if the judge has the ability to increase or reduce it.
I would think at some point during the course of this litigation, Parker and Qualcomm tried to resolve the lawsuit before proceeding to a full trial. Wondering if that will occur now that it has been settled that patents were infringed.
I expect that the judge will be making final rulings on the award sometime next month.
Me too!
I think it will get into the $3.50 to $4.00 range eventually.
I would think that "direct infringement" results in injunction... kinda of the only cure for it, IMO.
PRKR will have Qualcomm pay them a license fee for the technology.
License fees are pretty expensive from what I hear. . .
Doh! Picked some up at $2.85.
FYI... buy low sell high.
Will go down quickly if it breaks $2.00.
Hmm... I think it is going up because the can of worms is showing that Big Banks had more to do with the mortgage mess than Fannie and Freddie...
GLTA.
Really, how long do you think it will take to wind down Fannie and Freddie without shocking the market .... 10 - 15 years?
Buy low sell high, rinse, repeat for 10-15 years!!! Yay!
Anyone know of brokers will be offering Twitter prior to IPO date?
If so can you post.
I will do so if I get a alert on Etrade that they are offering. Etrade offered FB shares prior to IPO date, thinking Twitter may do the same for the masses aka little people....
Thanx.
Still climbing after hours!!!
Look at the other 3D printing companies that recently went IPO. . . all are and did pretty well, this is sort of a new technology etc.
I looked at the pricing figures this morning and put a order in at $17 on the open, because the IPO was priced at the low end of $13 - $15. Wishful thinking. I did manage to pick some up shortly after the open.
It did not trade to wildly today, so I think it may still go up a bit next week. I would unload at mid thirties if you got in today... your call.
GLTA.
Wow, EOD over 100% on IPO.
Should still get some attention on Monday morning... GLTA.
Does it matter that a small amount of shares were listed on the IPO. I think it was only around 6,500,000.... Seems like there will be a greater demand if shares are limited.
FNMA is basically selling its assets.... you know the ones that generate all the profits....
This is why it is going down.
No risk... no reward.
GLTA.
This is the only down stock in my portfolio today...and I have a few bad ones.
Not good IMO, will unload next chance I get, GLTA.
Told you...
Nice pop for ABX.
