This is classic. A broker from Cheshire, or something like that, just called me to solicit me. Before the conversation was over I think I got him interested in Wave Systems. He brought up the symbol and was asking me a lot of questions about the company. LOL

If that was a signal to the market I hope he sells 40K every week. LOL.

Does anyone have a subscription to TheStreet.com? Looks like Cramer may have been talking about Wave.

Almost 4 million shares shorted and we have traded close to 1 million shares in the first hour on a Friday. WHY?
$10 'N 2010,(or better) that is our goal.
After trading sideways for two weeks, Vacationhouse and I were both saying we thought there would be a breakout one way or the other since Tuesday. It took a couple of more days, but we finally broke through $3.75, that we have been knocking up against 4-5 times.
And here we are at $4.00 again.
We are once again above the 10 and 20 day moving average. Clay said to watch the moving averages.
Good volume and price action today so far.

Well, we're above the 10 day moving average at the moment.
There are those still fixated on SKS's sale, which does not seem to be affecting the SP at all.

Nice volume coming in, and again, we are trying to break through $3.75, and yet again, it looks like we are stopped, for the time being.
$10 'N 2010,(or better) that is our goal.
Does anyone else feel like our SP is wound up like a spring and is ready to break one way or the other?
I think the next hour our two will tell the story. Light volume makes the spring tighter and tighter. JMO.

Looking at Clay's chart: (updated all through the day, every day)
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=47240666
It appears that the 10 day and 20 day moving averages have come together and that we have moved sideways for over a week now.
We should breakout one way or the other today.

The Network Security Market
The worldwide network security appliance and software market is forecast to grow to $5.8 billion in 2013, according to Infonetics Research. The security market is currently buoyed by growing interest in cloud computing, vitalization and services. Increasing identity theft, spam, data breaches and recent Google (GOOG)’s cyber attack in China could force consumers and businesses to upgrade security to protect their systems against attack.
The other trend is that IT giants such as IBM (IBM), HP (HPQ), Microsoft (MSFT) and SAP (SAP) could enter into information security market by acquiring existing pure-play vendors.

Why do you think that? Is that what you want to happen?
With SKS selling some stock did it change the fact that a major automaker is paying Wave 5.7 million dollars over the next couple of years?
Of all the pilots that are going on right now, are they going to stop their pilots because SKS sold some shares?
The fact that we are going to be cash positive this quarter, are companies going to stop sending Wave money because SKS sold some shares?
Is HP going to consider not bundling Wave because SKS sold some shares?
Is Dell going to use their 30 day out agreement because SKS sold some shares?
Is the Govt consulting and projects underway going to come to a halt because SKS sold some shares?
Is Seagate going to drop using Wave because SKS sold some shares?
Is Wave going to be dropped from demos and keynote speeches with major players because SKS sold some shares?
Has ANYTHING CHANGED because SKS sold some shares?
SKS sold because the thought the company was going to go BK and he wants to get all he can out before that.
You guys need to get a life.
Smur, I don't know who you are, but we have had many many posters come on this board and critique all of Wave's PRs, demos etc.
This was a trade show of and for Techies. It was not a speech in from of WalMart.

These two videos tell a pretty good story. The first link was posted by JKIRK and is highlighted. Both should be listened to if you want to know what cloud computing is all about.
So, they've taken us down on 28,920 shares. I like the action on the stock yesterday and today so far.
I don't believe this will stand.

Somewhere in the past, I think I remember that we would get a buck a signature, I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.
How many signatures could there be in a quarter, in a year?
No cost of goods with this venture. All the engineering costs are done. Pure profit coming in with each signature. WOW.

-------------------------------------------
Wave Systems Corp. is a development stage company,
develops, produces and markets products for hardware based
digital security, including security applications and
services that are complementary to and work with the
specifications of the Trusted Computing Group.
Specifications developed by the TCG are designed to
address a range of current and evolving digital security
issues. These issues include: identity protection, data
security, digital signatures, electronic transaction integrity,
platform trustworthiness, network security, and regulatory
compliance.
The TCG is an industry standards body, comprised of
computer and device manufacturers, software vendors and
others, whose purpose is to develop, define and promote
open industry standard specifications for embedded
hardware-enabled computing products, including security
technologies across multiple platforms, peripherals and
devices.
Prior to the formation of the TCG, Wave developed
its pioneering EMBASSY Trust System. The EMBASSY Trust
System is a combination of client hardware consisting of
the EMBASSY 2100 security chip; and software consisting
of the Trust Assurance Network, a back-office infrastructure
that manages its security functions. Wave has since
developed a set of applications known as the EMBASSY
Trust Suite, EMBASSY Trust Server products, middleware
and software tools to work with various other chip
manufacturers' TCG-enabled TPMs that are now available.
The company's products are unique in the fact that they
support cross platform interoperability for the currently
available TPM chips from Winbond Electronics Corporation,
Atmel, Broadcom, Infineon, and STMicroelectronics and
have been verified for usage on TPM platforms shipped by
Intel, IBM, HP, Fujitsu, Gateway and Dell.
Hard Drive Makers Have Their Best Quarter in Years 01 March 2010
Hard drive makers Seagate STX and Western Digital
WDC reported exceptional results in the December quarter,
each having their best period in years as gross and operating
margins reached record levels. However, we feel the cyclical
peak is approaching in 2010, and we don't believe conditions
can meaningfully improve beyond what is presently baked
into the share prices.
Shortages across the supply chain in the face of strong
demand (particularly for laptops and netbooks) have led to
peak utilization rates. This is turn has actually pushed the
prices of hard drives upward, which is very atypical for the
industry. Because hard drive makers slashed capacity in the
face of falling demand at the end of 2008, present supply
still cannot meet current market demand, and it will likely
take at least six months before capacity additions come on
line to balance the equation.
We believe this will translate into a very strong first half of
2010, with the potential to continue through the entire
calendar year. However, we believe these peak industry
conditions are already baked into share prices for Seagate
and Western Digital, as well as their component suppliers
(including Hutchinson HTCH , Intevac IVAC , TDK
TTDKY , and Xyratex XRTX ).
In other words, with the hard drive industry at its most
profitable level in years, we feel it is the wrong time to be
searching for an entry point into the space.
Both Western Digital and Seagate continue to have
company-specific considerations that could influence how
their shares perform in the near term regardless of industry
demand. Western Digital has entered the enterprise drive
space, a segment it has left uncontested to this point, and
one that Seagate currently dominates. Enterprise hard
drives have the industry's highest margins, and we believe
the market has yet to price in that Western Digital will
actually be successful in this area. With Western Digital
having the best execution in the industry, we expect the
company will eventually enjoy success in this space.
For Seagate, management has made it a major initiative to
lower operating expenses, with the current goal of
consistently being in the range of 10%-12% of sales.
Booming near-term conditions have pushed the company
into this territory during the last two quarters, but we remain
skeptical the company is ready to execute successfully at
these leaner levels throughout the other phases of the
industry cycle. We expect its operating margins will lag
behind Western Digital over the long run.
Despite these company-specific considerations and the
potential for supply shortages to persist throughout the year,
we believe the current proximity to the industry cycle peak
limits upside potential. We believe hard drive makers are
great companies to buy when the industry news turns bad:
both STX and WDC generate consistently strong cash flow and will continue to hold dominant industry positions for the
foreseeable future. For those interested in playing the
space, patience will undoubtedly yield a more attractive
entry point for both of these names further down the road.

brant_point as to an announcement Monday morning, prior to the Roth conference, I can't remember a trade show, a conference or even a CC, where an announcement was made in the morning, before the market opened, of anyone of the three.
If someone can think of one then I stand corrected.

Two things on today's volume. 1.2 million shares was done in the first hour or so. The rest of the day was mostly up volume.
There is a lot of accumulation going on. They want your shares.

wavxmaster I agree with you. If we move up from here (10 day moving average), we have a chance to finish positive today.
Even if we close right here ($3.73) we will have a higher closing high then last Friday.
Seems there is a little resistance right here. When we break through, the 80s and 90s look promising.

True, and he did say we would be cash positive for Q1. With only two more weeks in the quarter I would take his "cash positive" statement to the bank!!
We are sitting right on the 10 day moving average as I type this, having already bounced off the 20 day moving average.

Wire service. The street.com
Wave Systems (WAVX) dropped by 39 cents, or 10%, to $3.51 even after the digital-security company beat expectations with a fourth-quarter loss of a penny a share on revenue of $5.2 million. Traders on Internet message boards attributed the slide in share price to a "sell the news" reaction. Shares of Wave Systems are still up nearly 150% in 2010. Volume topped 638,000 shares, compared to the 50-day average daily volume of 788,000.

As soon as the margin players are wiped out and the MMs get their fill on low price shares, we will stabilize.
We bounced off the 20 day moving average and are above it at the moment.
Also, with this turbulent week we closed at $3.67 a week ago. Let's see where we end up today.
Three things to remember.
1. The numbers were all positive for Q4. Would we have like to see them a little better? Always. But someone looking in from the outside see very good numbers and percentage increases.
2. The Roth Group meets on Monday and Wave will be presenting to major institutional investors.
3. THEY WANT YOUR SHARES

How many companies would like to have these numbers?
Wave Q4 Revenues Grew 58%to $5.2 Million, Q4 Billings Rose 91% to $7.1 Million and 2009 Revenues Rose 114% to $18.9 Million
And they will grow from quarter to quarter in 2010.
SKS is looking to double the revenues in 2010 over 2009.
I think that is conservative, now that HP is doing some selling for Wave.

The trend is up, our revenues are going up, the world is being educated and we are first mover.
Things are terrific with Dell. New units coming out with new security features by Wave.
HP sold some of our software to their customers in Q1.
There are only two weeks left in Q1. If SKS says we are going to be cash positive in Q1 HE MUST ALREADY know.
This is some the forward direction we have been waiting for.
He said as old customers continue to buy more from Wave, he will be able to give us even more forward direction in the CCs to come.
We may still consolidate early tomorrow, but with the Roth conference on Monday, I think next week we continue up.
