Another "on the goal line" company?
?
What's Fred Leonberger, former CTO, up to these days?

Lightwave Logic Inc, is a development stage company that is approaching commercialization of a portfolio of organic nonlinear electro-optical and all-optical polymers (plastics). The Company is using these materials as the basis for a series of proprietary (internal and licensed to external partners) advanced Integrated Optical Devices that have broad application in telecommunications, data communications and optical computing for use in both military and commercial markets.
Organic materials have the ability to leapfrog inorganic-based Silicon Photonic devices to yield orders of magnitude improvement in data rates while simultaneously lowering acquisition costs along with the ability to significantly lower power consumption for data centers and telecom networks.

What's the matter Prop.
Can't you endure the pain of this investment? I love going to the dentist... and investing my money in LWLG.
I'm next!
The floor price is a dollar, LOL.
OK next subject.
Wait, one more thing. Hopefully LPC is in the dark, like us, on the details of our commercialization efforts. If not, then well..... Sell away.
I think I saw in the filing that I posted that as of April, LPC had about 700k shares. Where'd the rest go??????
I think the answer is in your previous post, Prop.
Man, something is not adding up.
To boil that down...
The company can have LPC make an "Accelerated Purchase" the business day after a "Regular Purchase" is made.
Prop - The floor price is still $1.00

Purchase Price Floor. The Company and the Investor shall not effect any Purchases under this Agreement on any Purchase Date where the Closing Sale Price is less than the Floor Price. " Floor Price " means $1.00, which shall be appropriately adjusted for any reorganization, recapitalization, non-cash dividend, stock split or other similar transaction.
This is intriguing

I defer to legal counsel then
The current one expires in December
I almost had it right.
Under the Purchase Agreement, we may direct Lincoln Park to purchase up to $20,000,000 worth of shares of our common stock over a 30-month period. On any trading day selected by us, we may sell to Lincoln Park up to $200,000 of common stock by delivering a purchase notice to Lincoln Park. The Purchase Price of such shares is equal to the lesser of: (i) the lowest sale price of our common stock on the purchase date; or (ii) the arithmetic average of the three lowest closing sale prices for our common stock during the twelve consecutive trading days ending on the trading day immediately preceding the purchase date. Lincoln Park does not have the right or the obligation to purchase any shares of our common stock on any business day that the market price of our common stock is less than $1.00. To the extent that the market price of our common stock is below $1.00 per share on a trading day, we would not receive any proceeds under the Purchase Agreement for that day.

What's up with the device?
It's my understanding,
that the original LPC agreement is still in effect until December.
The floor price is 1.00 - the avg share price in the 12 business days prior to a purchase has to be above a buck. If the share price on the day of the purchase goes below a buck, then LPC can say no to the purchase.
The above details were not discussed at the meeting but JM did mention the agreements during his presentation.
X please correct me if necessary, my memory is going....
Interesting that Sam Palermo collaborated on that HP paper.
He also collaborated with some Intel folks on polymer interconnects:

Where is Turpin's name on the website BTW?
I wonder how many shares Larry Kudlow bought.
Thanks F2!!

Thanks very much Profit.
I'm a bit disappointed that we missed yet another date regarding the website that those listeners would have visited. Lets see what Monday brings. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Profit can you elaborate more
On the commercial. What did they say??
Thanks Walter.
Agreed Six.
I'm still scratching my head as to his departure. His LinkedIn profile still does not indicate a current position in Milpitas. It probably has something to do with testing discrepancies between UCB and his lab in DE. Just my hunch.
Thanks for pointing out that 8-K Prop
Looks like Dr. Miller won the popularity contest.

Also note certain changes to the bylaws:
Qualifications – Amended to provide that each director shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age and no older than seventy-five (75) years of age, unless such maximum age is waived by a majority of the directors then in office. Prior to the amendment, no such age qualifications were contained in the bylaws.
And now a word from our sponsor...

It was all very good and positive. Expect a media campaign on or about 8/3 and a new website next week. Yes Terry is still riding his Harley. LOL. And Dr. Miller gets away from the grandkids now and then to check on things.
I'm beat. Have a nice weekend
PS-
Mr and Mrs Snez - thanks for the quick brewski - I got the next round.
Buz
I am going to present my empty wallet at the door.
Thanks Mush. LOL.
Rickface,
Was this based on any conversations with people in the company/industry or all speculation?
Thanks,
Buzz
LOL Wise.
I'm sure there's a lot of investors feeling dumb, myself included. Hopefully we'll be smarter Friday afternoon.
Because it's a lame website

Transceivers - Metro Market
Lightwave, Nov/Dec 2012
By Benny Mikkelson
"With their superior optical performance and ease of use, coherent transceivers are very attractive for the emerging 100G metro market. The metro-market segment typically develops two to three years after the long-haul market but is two to three times larger in size. Following this timeline, the 100G market is expected to take off in 2014 and attracting significant attention from equipment manufacturers and transceiver suppliers."

Awardee: REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO, THE
Doing Business As Name: University of Colorado at Boulder
PD/PI: Alan R Mickelson
Award Date: 06/25/2013
Estimated Total Award Amount: $ 50,000
Funds Obligated to Date: $ 50,000
Award Start Date: 07/01/2013
Award Expiration Date: 12/31/2013
Award Title or Description: I-Corps: Miltiwavelength Integrated Nanphotonic Transceivers
Abstract at Time of Award
This proposed device research incorporates material research and nanofabrication technology with new system approaches to enhance current fiber optic networking capabilities. The work is based on research results from a grant made by the previous NSF CISE EMTNano program that involved silicon phontonics, nano fabrication and nonlinear optical polymer research. The device research involves miniaturizing optical components to the nano-scale, thereby extending the reach of optics to ever shorter distances. The miniaturization permits enhancement of bandwidth through the use of on-chip dense wavelength division multiplexing allowed by silicon photonics components. The miniaturized system with reduced power consumption permits use of broadband sources instead of a multitude of stabilized lasers. This new system approach promises not only breakthroughs in size and cost but an epiphany in the approach to control of process and thermal variations. The material research involves high temperature electro-optic chromophores that exhibit high electro-optic coefficients when guested in polymeric hosts. The nanotechnology includes infiltration and poling of these novel composite polymers in slotted silicon nano-waveguide structures.

I-Corps:
NSF Innovation Corps
The NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps) is a set of activities and programs that prepare scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory and broadens the impact of select, NSF-funded, basic-research projects.
While knowledge gained from NSF-supported basic research frequently advances a particular field of science or engineering, some results also show immediate potential for broader applicability and impact in the commercial world. Such results may be translated through I-Corps into technologies with near-term benefits for the economy and society.

Odds. If you read the manual it's "next quarter"
Can't wait to watch you stand up and ask that one Prop. LOL.
What questions does everyone have for the SHM?
Walter be careful you might be voted out of the LWLG European Fan Club
At this juncture we should be discussing our VOTES
And decide who needs to be sent off packing.
Thanks captainnutcracker for reminding me.
Phil did us a favor and bailed. Who's next???
I can think of three that need to be "promoted" to a new job somewhere else.
Comments?
Thanks Proto.
Look at that - a publication with Lightwave Logic's name in it. Alert the media.
Looks like our old friend Biaggio has a couple chapters as well.
I have an idea. Someone contact Greenlee (who is connected with him on LinkedIn), and ask him. Walt, Steve?
Enough of the speculation - get some data
PS Prop. The host in that video is NOT wearing a depiction of LWLG management on his T-shirt.
Beat you to it. :)
Thanks very much Steve
