I dont care about Nanosys, this is not the Nanosys board. Glad they have customers, with their batch production & the number of people working they can hand out paychecks. Good for them.
I also recall their price per gram was lower, however I cannot recall what Display OEM's have settled at off the top of my head.
Ok lets poke holes at my honest comments .Im ready. LOL.
Since you re-brought it up Ted I hope they are working at getting up Efficiency Levels
MILESTONES – Licensor
a) Licensor is obligated to continual to improve and optimize their patented quantum dot solar cell technology and to achieve a peak solar cell conversion efficiency of 15% on or before the 18th month following execution of this agreement. If licensor does not achieve this target performance within this time frame the licensee will deduct and accrue 10% from the total amount of royalties owing until such time the target performance is achieved. Once the target is achieved the accrued royalties will be paid to licensor.
b) Licensor is obligated to timely ship production and process equipment and to insure all equipment is of the latest generation. Licensor will make all shipments expeditiously and any shipments that are delayed beyond the initial target date and effect the licensee milestone dates will automatically add 15 days to the licensee milestone dates referenced above.
Yep QMC is'nt nothing but HYPE, that is the reason why I bought shares. Unreal.
Steve's Tweet + Perovskite + Efficiency Link == ?
Displays are not a "dead-end" it does take time for everything to come together between QMC and an OEM. It was disclosed by Nanosys that their margins are thin.
Thanks for your thoughtful and reasonable posts.
I only have 2 posts left. Have fun the rest of the day, The bored is all yours..
So Capstan got bought for no reason, they hired a CTO and a CFO, and did a presentation in Italy for PM and Ferrari, yeah things are Dead.
India is'nt built in a day :)...
Do that hookem, India was at QMC also and signed a Licensing and Development Deal oh btw
I have had enough fun for the day. Glad to see you posting on the correct board.
Display's have the lowest margins ask Nanosys why their still a private company. Also it takes the time it takes for a display manufacturer to run all the tests and see their margins.
Probably not 'wrong board'
imo Ted they are 'probably' keeping that under wraps. Speculating a bit Dr Jabbour has 'probably' been working on this. Steve did mention Solar in his blog.
I understand however QMC did Perovskite in a PR awile back:
The latest perovskite solar news:
New strategy yields 24.8% efficiency all-perovskite solar cells
Researchers at Nanjing University in China and the University of Toronto in Canada have fabricated all-perovskite tandem solar cells (PSCs) with remarkable independently certified PCEs of 24.8% for small-area devices (0.049 cm2) and 22.1% for large-area devices (1.05 cm2).
Fabricating all-perovskite tandem solar cells, based on both wide-bandgap and narrow-bandgap perovskites, could lead to a higher power conversion efficiency (PCEs) than that attained by single-junction cells without increasing fabrication costs. In order to build this new type of solar cell, however, researchers need to find a way to enhance the performance of each subcell, while also integrating the wide-bandgap and narrow-bandgap cells synergistically.

Perovskite solar cells are tested for space travel
Scientists from UCL and ISIS have been testing solar cells made from perovskite materials to see how resilient they are to the neutron irradiation they would be exposed to in space.
Solar cells made from perovskite materials have the potential for use in powering electronics in space. Before considering them for space applications, it is crucial to understand how resilient they would be in such a high radiation environment. In previous experiments by other groups, the effect of high-energy protons and electrons has been tested, with the results suggesting that this type of solar cell is particularly resilient to radiation effects. This experiment, on VESUVIO at ISIS, is the first to test cells in operando while being exposed to high-energy neutrons, and found that the cells suffered minimal irreversible damage during the process.

GCL aims for a 1 GW perovskite cell production line in place by 2022
Chinese manufacturer GCL recently indicated that it is nearing commercialization of perovskite solar technology. “Once the conversion rate [of] perovskite is close to what monocrystalline product does, which is coming soon, the only obstacle for perovskite to take [the] place of mono is the limitation of its production capacity,” GCL Nano Technology general manager Fan Bin said at a recent industry conference which considered the potential of perovskite.
Discussing GCL’s work with perovskites, Fan said his company’s lab has achieved a conversion efficiency of 16% on a large panel and he is confident 18% could be achieved by the end of the year. With a theoretical conversion limit of around 33% thought to apply to perovskite cell efficiency – and possibly up to 47% for a tandem device – the manager voiced confidence perovskites would soon surpass the 18% threshold.

New transparent conductive films may boost perovskite PV efficiency
Researchers from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia and University of Twente in the Netherlands have developed transparent conductive films that let through a broader range of the solar spectrum, which are set to increase the power conversion efficiency of perovskite-based multijunction solar cells beyond 30%.

Performance of perovskite-based tandem solar cells rests on the ability of the top cell to harvest the blue portion of the solar spectrum while letting through the near-infrared light. Conversely, the bottom cell only needs to absorb near-infrared light. "The semitransparency of the top cell depends on the optical bandgap and thickness of the perovskite thin film as well as the characteristics of the transparent electrodes, especially their sun-exposed side," explains study lead Stefaan De Wolf from theKAUST Solar Center.

There is a difference between a "scam" and "not working out".
Fortunately there QD's are real. India is real. Blockchain and its tracing from Manufacturer to end user preventing counterfeiting is real.
Glad you can see the positives. Let India roll out and Blockchain see its security course. I still an not expecting anything spectacular for a few more months however from the looks of their latest endeavor with Blockchain this could expand rapidly. A spark with a major conglomerate would send the share price soaring.
QMC is not a scam by a long shot their Patents and IP are real. Some here need to vent because of not enough instant gratification and others just like to [submit their post] for reasons that I do not fully understand. Some also do not understand that I am here waiting for success as long as it takes.

You are correct, it does take the time it takes for everything to come together. I remember noting years ago Amazon and Apple at ~~10 Dollars a share.
I have lived in No Calif all my life I do not recall winds as bad as they are now. The climate is changing. We we're in a drought then 2 wet winters caused brush to overgrow. Then winds up to 80 mph and very low humidity are a perfect storm for wildfires. So Calif has the same problem.
This is the reason why I bought a generator so my wife wont freak out when I go to work and as I mentioned to he one time only that it could come in handy in case of an Earthquake.
I was almost on top of a 6.0 in Napa 1n 2014 which did damage to drywall and broke many items.
Yes, we will know what happened up till June 30th. We started hearing about Capstan Blockchain in July.
Actually it's the crumbling PGE grid. A 99yo wire sparked the Tubbs Fire that went from Calistoga to Santa Rosa destroying thousands of homes and loss of life. Similar in Paradise CA.
Also in the PGE Bankruptcy settlement the CEO did not get his golden parachute.
Did you needlessly lose power for 36 hours? Just because I live in California should not dictate how huge conglomerates treat people. I feel that the political landscape victimizes Califonian's.
Hell I could think that Trump is our political savior (which I don't) and still fall victim to rules that these CEO's make.
Yeah I got a generator, took me 4 hours getting a 3500 watt thru Lowes after being out of power for 36 needless hours in an area not subject to wildfires.
Amazon, Wal Mart and Home Depot have "Restrictions to California" similar to PGE turning off power in areas that would not be victim to wildfires. PGE was guilty of the events the last 2 years and had to file Bankruptcy and purposely imo getting even.
Gov Newsom let PGE know that he was unhappy with the decisions made and put people with health conditions at risk. It seems very political since California went blue politically.
That happened over a 3-5 day period still a nice return for day traders.
Unfortunately there are day traders who buy at .03 and take profits at .05 that is a nice return. This has noting to do with QMC's longer term outlook.
India + Blockchain :)
Should I sticky that BigE
How's Nanoco Doing? Stuck at 11 pence
.0175 to .04+ do is see an uptrend
Does that matter how long it takes it's my investment, why should you care?
I have privately thought that also thoughts of a 10-1 R/S may be in order down the line.
Once Blockchain Revenue and the License & Development gears up then we shall see what happens.
Answer this "do stocks go straight up"
