WLT Could jump out at any time about even, second-guessing this one.
EDIT: Going for a run, will see what happens after 1:00 pm.
Fingers crossed on WLT.
I should have been as patient...good trade!
WLT In at $17.98. At one-year low today.
HL A lot of trading/profit-taking going on. Will jump back in if it dips back around $3.
Battle going on at $18...double gulp.
I don't think it likes under $18!
Changed my mind on HL, out @ $3.10.
$3K profit, I'll take it!
WLT Also in large, avg. $17.98.
Out UTEK @ $30.75, +$3K.
Here's a good article about switching exchanges: http://www.insideinvestorrelations.com/articles/stock-exchanges-listings/19252/nyse-and-nasdaq-compete-switch-listings/

VELT offering, $1.50 per share. http://stks.co/cQvi
HL: I'm very satisfied with my $3.01 buy yesterday and I'll add to it today on any dips. I think that this will start to work its way back up, perhaps even to $4.
Best of luck to everyone today.
2013 Idiomatic Expression Abuse Contest:
We should be careful not to bite off our nose to spite our face.
OT: Just for an example, look at another stock that we’re both in, UTEK.
They have real & positive earnings of $0.48 per share, but that’s one cent less than analyst guesstimates. Their revenues rise 22% year-on-year to 60 mil, but that’s a few mil less than analyst guesstimates.
The stock falls 17%!
Either we should just drop the whole system of estimates as a meaningful metric, or these dudes need a mandatory course in statistics!
Re AMD, perhaps OT: It's a long-term and well-known phenomenon that the street is unable or unwilling (read too lazy) to fully comprehend and correctly digest news about science-based stocks.
That annoying fact seems to be spreading to the tech sector.
Perhaps it's our culture's insistence on labeling everything either good or bad. In reality, things are more complex than that.
Large position, long AMD.
Sounds good. As I've said before, IMO going to be at least $3 before too long.
Great trade, congrats!
OT: Is it really necessary for Dow Jones Newswire to take virtually every sentence from an earnings report and release it as a separate wire? Just confuses things.
They're now up to 11 different wire releases. Sheesh! Going to take me awhile, I'm just going to sit down tonight and read through it carefully.
Anyway, in it for a few weeks at least, should be interesting.
Yep, reading through it now. Think it'll be a good day tomorrow.
You're probably right, but I'm going to hang on to this one awhile.
Even if there's a short-term dip, IMO $3 sooner or later.
UTEK: If you don't mind my asking, your average?
That spike came so ridiculously late in the day that as much as I dislike all conspiracy theory and market manipulation talk, I'd say someone might know something.
A good report???????
AMD looking good!!!!!!!!!!
In UTEK @ $29.55.
AMD: At $2.60 I might have said no, but at today's price the market seems to have already factored in a so-so, perhaps even a slightly poor, earnings report. Good risk/reward here, IMHO.
Sorry, delete, duplicate.
Got a good-sized chunk of HL at $3.01.
Bought a good-sized chunk of HL, $3.01.
I decided to hold AMD and just see what happens in the next few weeks.
I'm giving up on CLF touching the day's low, won't buy today.
I'm looking to make another buy and trying to decide between HEK, HL, and AKS. Any thoughts appreciated!
Our entire society is going to start seeing more of that, unfortunately with some of them not being mere scares.
LOL. Nope, it seems that way, but it's basic artificial intelligence: people's behaviors aren't random, the computer analyzes past tendancies and patterns.
Try this, totally addicting!

CLF: If it closes anywhere around the low $17's I'll probably be buying in.
I'd be hard-pressed to name another major company, long-term value stock on sale this much. $70 this time last year!
CLF: I keep looking in the mirror, slapping myself in the face, and yelling, "No, no, don't do it, don't do it!"...but...if CLF closes today anywhere around $17 I just might buy in again.
This is insane, where are the value buyers?
TY.
You still in GNK? I'm looking at it.
