thanks th, its good to be back. in the coming weeks i will have more time to add to the board.
hahahaha that's great brikk, no arm-twisting necessary, you know my style, i rather provide my knowledge to the board in a clear and concise manner as always, and being here with all of you is a pleasure.
good to be back here
good to be around sage, thanks for all your contributions.
thats right jds, and thank u for the on-sight visits to dpdw, nothing like seeing your investment at work first hand.hope everything is well with you, missed you guys around here, great ppl and great knowledge.
hey joe, thank u for the kind words and the great dd that u have continued to provide to the board, as i did for a very long time, since the only true way to have transparency is to "know what you own."
ahh that brings back memories
thank you sulphur, great screenshots by the way, as usual. thumbs up
i never really left, just havent had time to post but i do pop in and visit the board often, great stuff in the ibox certainly for those looking to begin dd'ing DPDW.
hello brikk and all, just stopping by to say hello and let everyone know that i have been holding strong and great job with the board.
some of the new people around here may not remember me but most of the veterans do
with the new year already in and big news waiting to be released and Steve Haag back from honeymoon, this could get interesting next week.
then i must be either number two or three.... and if anyone is not content with the stock, there is an easy alternative rather then ranting and pouting about it on a forum, sell your shares.
if your portfolio isnt what you want it to be you are the only one that can change that, if you are not satisfied that your average is high because you bought much higher, well the investment world has a little something we call averaging down.
well said....
yes very true and let us all remember that management is the biggest stakeholder out of all of us, and Mr. Butler must work hard to be compensated. As he works his web, so does shareholder value and pps go increase.
hahaha the description says "No bath is safe from the irresistible charm of a Devil Duckie!"
that is hilarious
man that guy is a ....sitting duck.... lol
ok let me stop haha
i went out and got myself a bigger one
great all systems go from here.
i think that for all the longs here and anyone watching the tape, it was more then clear the actions that HILL what blatantly selling shares at whatever price, and it is no coincidence that it came at the end of the day and a run up to $1.24.
whatever happened today will not and should not effect the trading action tomorrow. If there was more time left on the trading clock I am sure we would have closed above $1.10.
this is a stronger company then we have ever seen, it is time to bring the pps to where it deserves to be, and that is much much higher.
for those of us who have seen this type of manipulation, we can all agree that it is met with higher gains right afterwards.
so tomorrow we continue the uptrend.
certainly growth is a factor in this sector but so is the fact that Deep Down is producing innovative and ground-breaking new products to cater to the needs of its clients.
take for example the PR from April 24, 2007, which announced our first quarter order activity.
in that PR it states that we did work for Bourbon Offshore, Inc.
now digging a little deeper, we may have a repeat customer here, since bourbon owns and operates a fleet of MPSV (Multi-Purpose Supply Vessels) just like the Swordfish from Veolia.
here is a link to the fleet:
http://bourbon-online.com/MPSV,420
this will make Deep Down Inc. a company that these offshore companies turn to when they need something done.
for those who missed it or want to reread the last PR, and yes that does say in the World:
Deep Down Delivers Deepest Rated LARS in the World
HOUSTON, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Deep Down, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DPDW) has recently delivered what is believed to be the deepest class rated Launch and Retrieval System ('LARS') in the world. The 4,000 meter rated LARS was specially designed for subsea load handling, lifting and tensioning, and launch and retrieval of specialized undersea equipment, including Remote Operated Vehicles ('ROV'), in ultra-deep and harsh subsea environments. Special functions include auto-variable speed control (load dependent), wire spooling and guide systems, grooved drums, emergency release capabilities, gravity lowering, emergency hoisting abilities, and a water-cooled drum to reduce heat on the umbilical, among others. The safe working load of the LARS is 28 tonnes, and the system is capable of delivering payloads at speeds of up to 76 meters per minute. Another unique feature of this LARS is the specially designed wraparound level wind sensor system which allows for more sensitive yet smoother operation in rugged, high-load, ultra-high deepwater applications. Deep Down plans to secure a patent for this very important feature. The 4000 meter LARS was sold to Perry Slingsby Systems, Inc. ('Perry') for integration with their new 4,000 meter rated ROV. Perry has produced more ROV systems than all other manufacturers combined.
Perry sold this system to Veolia ES Special Services, Inc. ('Veolia') which has placed the system on their newly-built state-of-the-art DSV MT-6016 vessel, named the Swordfish. Designed with cutting-edge technology, the new ship was custom-designed to allow Veolia to take on more complex subsea construction and dive-support projects. The Swordfish also has a Deep Down 3,000 meter rated LARS leased to them with a Perry ROV. A second 4000 meter rated LARS is expected to be delivered to Perry as soon as factory acceptance testing has been completed. The second LARS will also be sold to Veolia with a Perry ROV. Deep Down expects to sell additional LARS units of this class with an average minimum sales price of approximately $1.4 million each, depending on individual custom-engineered features and capabilities as requested by our clients.
'It is exciting to know that the new Flagship for Veolia, the Swordfish, is set up for ultra deepwater environments and will have two Perry ROVs and two Deep Down LARS to help them accomplish their more challenging deepwater tasks. 2008 looks to be a very promising year, and our goal is to provide the best support possible to our clients, helping them meet their deepwater challenges with greater confidence,' said Ron Smith, Deep Down's CEO. 'We will continue to use proprietary-built state-of-the-art equipment (and third-party equipment such as the Baricon 30-ton, 4-track tensioner), engineering, and custom-developed installation and retrieval management systems to deliver cost-effective solutions, thereby distinguishing ourselves as the premier 'first call' for our clients when confronted with a variety of challenges in ultra deepwater and harsh subsea environments', he continued.
steady as she goes boys, 25 minutes of trading, 54,537 in volume, and 5.66% up, with 6 hours of trading to go.
10000 shares! at the ask
o how thin it is on the way up.
nice and steady all the way up, very nice trading so far.
no Deep Down Inc. owns Mako Technologies, who is the sole distributor of SeaEye products in the Gulf of Mexico. Saab owns SeaEye, and they produce ROV's or Reotely Operated Vehicles for subsea exploration and use.
welcome waradmiral, i think that if you read some of the DD provided by some of us on here just today (mostly based on todays PR) you will quickly realize that Deep Down Inc. is as real as they come and it shows.
welcome aboard.
thanks ken and i'll second the fact that you run a great board and certainly are very thorough. thanks again and happy new year.
hey captain, sure does have a nice ring to it doesn't it.
that Swordfish vessel is a beauty
i don't think we realize the scope of this PR yet, this is huge, we just produced the "Deepest Rated LARS in the World"
in the WORLD, that is tremendous industry NEWS, and the fact that travelling at 76 meters per minute, with a 28 ton load the 4000 meter LARS is certainly going to open some eyes, to say the least.
total time of a 28 ton load from top to bottom: 52 minutes, that is impressive, and industry changing.
no wonder patent is pending.
you know me and you know how DD gets me going, and man o man are my DD fingers itching, lol
oooo sooo thin. this isnt going to be here for very much longer, this NEWS was excellent.
"Deep Down expects to sell additional LARS units of this class with an average minimum sales price of approximately $1.4 million each, depending on individual custom-engineered features and capabilities as requested by our clients.
yes that says $1.4 million minimum EACH
ASK getting hit now.
here is another writeup on the many ROV's that Veolia ES currently uses, notice that the SeaEye Tiger is among them, and that Mako Technologies is the only distributor of SeaEye products in the Gulf of Mexico.
