A railway line exists, the same one that at the present time is not in good condition.
Historical review
The discovery of the deposit attributes to the Bernardine Spanish Goatherd to him, who in 1745 would have taken samples from minerals of silver and tin arriving even to fuse them. A Chilean company year 1841 operates the argentiferous deposits of Future and Maria Francisca.
The Pozokoni hill together enters tin mineral operation cassiterite in 1860 with poli metalists of Viscachani and Chuallani, under the denomination Polygon. Year 1883 the first mining society denominated Téllez forms Brothers, the one that year 1895 happens to form the Penny-Duncan company.
At the beginning of century year 1905 the Mining Society Huanuni forms.
During years 1908 to 1910, Simón Patiño buys all the concessions, forming a mining group, that in 1931 happens to integrate the Bolivian Tin & Tungten Corporation.
Year 1952 by the process of the National Revolution, the Mining Corporation of Bolivia is created, COMIBOL, like an autarkic company with management autonomy, and the nationalization of the mines takes place, the deposit of Huanuni happens to depend on the administration of the MINING CORPORATION OF BOLIVIA, by means of Supreme Decrees Numbers 3196 of 2 of October and 3223 of the 31 of October of he himself year, and is structured the administration of COMIBOL with D.S. 4458 of the 18 of July of 1956 with seven directors inside these two labor directors named by the F.S.T.M.B., and the others named by the executive authority, elevated supreme decrees to rank of Law of the 29 of October of 1956. He is possible to clarify that COMIBOL is the institution in charge of the superior direction and administration of the state mining and to make the activities mining and metallurgical, consisting of the right of prospection, exploration, operation, concentration, smelting, refinement and commercialization of minerals.
In 1987 by Supreme Decree 21377, part of Subsidiary the Minera Company of Oruro like Mining Center Huanuni is decentralized and formed; later, by superior dispositions at the end of 1992 it takes the name again from the Company Minera Huanuni depending directly on the central offices of COMIBOL; later the 9 of March of the 2000 sign the contract of risk shared with Allied Deals PLC, the company was taken part judicially to order of the government through COMIBOL as of June of 2002, being the name of Company RBG Minera Huanuni S.A. Intervention and finally by breach of several clauses of the contract, in fulfillment of the decisive car emitted by the judge of party fifth in the civilian of the judicial district of Oruro it considers so that the cease of the judicial intervention is declared and arranges that COMIBOL reassumes the direction and direct and definitive total administration of the chain, productive miner in the Company Minera Huanuni according to the legal dispositions in use like Arts. 136, 138 and 228 of the C.P.E., Arts. 164, 175 and 319 of the Code of civil Procedure, and Laws 1178 and 2400
2. GEOLOGY
The deposit of Huanuni is on paleozoicas rocks, characterized by quartzite mantles put in with slates; all of them with biconvex characteristics. These rocks arm hills conical of Pozokoni and Convento, first lodges mineralized tin structures inside the quartzites; in both peaks the rocks present/display limoníticas alterations.
The deposit is in an anticline whose axis has a course NW-SE with several cross-sectional faults, in which also exist micro you fold that mainly they are drags the faults.
In the deposit a litológico control of heavy quartzites for veins is had, him conceptúa to the deposit like mantiforme, qualifying useful specially to face the exploration, all the deposit appears like stockwork giant poli metalist of stuffed type of fissures.
The deposit presents/displays a complex vein system, existing an almost direct relation between the action and the force of the magma, giving origin to veins of diverse course and dip, that nevertheless can be classified by its direction and taking care of its density of mineralización as to his length it is possible to be classified in the following groups:
a) Vein system Promising, Nothaft, Central and Chuallani with N40º course to 60º E.
b) Vein system Keller, Crucera Keller with course more or less E-W.
c) Vein system Bandy, Marión and Conde with course NE-SW with almost vertical dip.
d) Vein system New Great with course NE-SW with dip pronounced between 45º to 60º.
3. THE MINE
From the peak of the Pozokoni bulk they have worked filones of cassiterite type longitudinal rosary and vertically (with variable powers). At the moment the works of rational and systematic operation on the part of the Company Minera Huanuni are in levels -120, -160 and -200; being levels -240, -280 and -320 in preparation whose access to the same ones is the incline of trackless.
The superior levels on the Level Zero Patiño are at the moment in work with the cooperative system, a good percentage of the superior levels is saturated of load broken with laws that oscillate between 1 and 2,50% Sn that to future can have their metallurgical advantage.
4. RESERVES
The reserves considered in the present profile are solid, taqueos blocks and geologic resources.
For a rate of operation of 1.500 ton/day we are 468.000 ton/year old, consequently would be a life utility with a duration of 5 years and 8, cycle that would allow the new company to enter to prospections to generate more reserves in zones identified in the deposit (Maria Francisca, Pepitos, Convent, Dolores, Luciana and Future).
5. MINING
a) Rehabilitation Central Picture
This picture communicates at the levels San Antonio and Zero Patiño, working like transport of personnel and material (with only a compartment) between the levels Harrison and Zero Patiño; the transport length is of approximately 150 meters. At the moment the operation of the picture is paralyzed; for its rehabilitation the following thing is required:
- Installation of new huinche of two drums in the level Harrison.
- Electrical system.
- Desquinche in the chimney between the room of huinches and the level of pulleys (to qualify the second compartment).
- Revision and rehabilitation of the enmaderación of the picture.

- Revision and installation of the pulleys.
- Construction of cages for the personnel transport and materials.
- Installation of the system of signaling in the different levels.
- Acquisition and installation of the braided steel cable 6x19 of 1. _ for the operation of the picture.
b) Rating of Prays Pass and/or Construcción de Nuevos Prays Passes
- For it offs-hook of the loads mineralized over the level Zero Patiño is recommended to rehabilitate prays pass Nº 3, that arrives until the Tunari level, the mailbox of this prays pass is in the old cut of main extraction (to 50m to the SW of the cut towards Promising).
- Another one prays pass to rehabilitate serious the Nº 10 that arrives at the New level 100, which would have to come until the Harrrison level (30m.), which would be considered like a main level of storing and mineral transport.
- The construction of a mailbox in the Level is recommended Harrison, on pass Nº 1 prays, or in its defect if the mailbox cannot be constructed to execute a chimney in the direction of prays pass Nº 1, in a length approximated of 20m, this prays pass Nº 1 arrives until surface (in the sector of Great Mouth).
c) Main access
In order to extract the load by level zero with volquetas access carrying out 3.200 is due to qualify m3 of desquinche in old galleries and 700m of cut from the entrance of the cavern Dolores to arriving at projected veins (it vetoes New and Great) happening through prays pass mentioned (Flat associate).
d) Operation
- The movement of loads surpluses (Mineral old and recent fraction) will take place with Scoop to prays pass qualified unloading in level zero for its extraction in volquetas towards the mailbox of storing of the metallurgical plant.
- In the galleries rehabilitated in the superior levels previous planning projects of recognition, preparation and operation of the solid mineral under the rajos system of storing will be executed and direct suspension.
6. METALLURGY

c) Metallurgical balance
8. SECURITY
INDUSTRIALIST
- Workers In the metallurgical works mining a strict attendance with the implementos of personal protection (IPP) to each worker will be undertaken according to the area of corresponding work according to norms established internationally in industrial security. Also preventive actions will be executed annulling the RISKS in their due opportunity with enabled personnel.
- Ventilation the mining workings will be executed with natural ventilation since for it they are counted on galleries that lead fresh air to the interior of the mine and the vitiated air expulsion will conduct by chimneys and rajos finished towards surface; consequently, it will not represent any risk of working with mining machinery to diesel engine. Previous planning the HSI department executed the same ones with recommendations for each front of work.

Centennial deposits continue maintaining to the declining national mining
http://www.lapatriaenlinea.com/content/view/4554/40/
The mining analyst Ing.. Jorge Espinoza Morales offers an exciting history us on the mining activity in Bolivia, after the nationalization of the mines in 1952.
Espinoza Morales emphatically continues maintaining who the future of this important single partner-productive activity has two exits: or to explore to have a sustainable mining with new deposits or to follow like until now and colapsar.
INTRODUCTION
Until before nationalization of mines happened 31 of October of 1952 existed great mining (Groups Patiño, Hochschild and Aramayo that operated the greatest mines of the country), the medium mining and the small mining.
The mining cooperativismo was incipiente and it was confined to Potosí.
The nationalized mines that happened to comprise of the great state mining operated by the Mining Corporation of Bolivia (Comibol) totalized 2,021 concessions with a surface of 231,226 hectares and were the following ones:
Company Patiño Mines: Catavi, Huanuni, Colavi, Japo, Kami, Viloco and Seven His.
Hochschild company SAMI: Pulacayo, Pailaviri (Unified), Porco, Snails, San jOse, Morococala, Colquiri, Matilde, Great Pampas, Negra Stock market and Bolivar.
Compagnie Aramayo de Mines: Chorolque, Tasna, Tatasi, Telamayu, San Vicente, Chocaya, You animate, Caracoles and Teoponte. Later Comibol acquired the mines Corocoro and Santa Fe.
The different mining groups (Group) were made up of concessions (NC) that included areas (Hect.) significant. As example some of them are detailed.
Grupo NC Hect. Grupo NC Hect.
Catavi 260 7,463 Pulacayo 56 9.634
Huanuni 179 2,067 19.279 Snails 81
Colquiri 122 2,623 Choir Choir 55 2.875
Unified 65 10,479 Porco 14 713
The 4,265 Bolivars 69 Chorolque 59 3.242
San jOse 44 1,394 Kami 39 3.956
It is important to emphasize that the area explored and operated of these mining groups has not had to happen of 10%, totally negative factor for the mining as it is argued and it demonstrated later.
Until the year 1985 in which the price of tin collapsed, Comibol was of distant spot the greater producer and mineral exporter of the country, followed by the medium mining and the small mining.
To the date, all the more important medium mines have closed or work in mechanized or manual form semi, due to the exhaustion o/a the drastic diminution of their reserves: Estalsa, Chojlla, Avicaya, Milluni, Chilcobija, Teoponte, Chacarilla, Great Hill etc.; others had a very short life: Kellguani, Seats, Bell, Santa Teresa etc. In which to the small mining headress, most of them (hundreds) have been closed.
The high unit costs derived from the mechanization of mines with very narrow veins and the political handling caused millionaires losses to Comibol, that as well caused the “relocalización” and the unemployment of thousands of their mining workers in 1986, which forced Comibol to sign contracts of renting in many of their mines with their ex- workers organized in cooperatives, that survived making a more selective and manual work of the mineralized areas.
That was the beginning of the appearance of the mining cooperativismo, today important productive and creative sector of work sources, whose working nevertheless is made without technical criterion and environmental control. The mining cooperativismo is at the moment the group of greater social pressure in the country.
In spite of the passed time, by incredible that seems at the present time the greater mineral producers they continue being the mines of the Comibol, most of them with more of a century of work.
NEW EMPRENDIMIENTOS
As great mining basic metal projects for the future single have San Bartholomew, whom a delay compass maintains until the government defines with clarity its mining policy, specially in which to the legal security of the investments and to the mining taxes it talks about, and the project of world-wide class San Cristóbal, with the greater investment of the Bolivian mining of more than 600 million dollars, that of not existing disturbance factors the 2007 would enter operation. The time of operation of both projects also is limited because he will be smaller to 20 years.
Of the exposed thing and by other antecedents the following ones can be established
Conclusions
1 the centennial vetiformes mines of Comibol, that belonged to Patiño, Hochschild and Aramayo, were and still they are the support of the declining Bolivian mining.
2 Until year 1985 the base of our mining was the tin mines operated by Comibol that in their majority was of Patiño, whereas from 1986 the mines of polimetálicos (Zn, Ag, Pb) that belonged to Hochschild and given in contract of renting and risk shared by Comibol to the ex- Comsur, as well as several tin mines and polimetálicos rented by Comibol to mining cooperatives, produce the thickness of the mining exports.
3 By the volumes and time of production, can affirm forcefully that Comibol has the greater and important vetiformes mines of the country.
The 4 mining groups of the Comibol, all very extensive in surface, single continued operating the nuclei mineralized worked from before 1952, nuclei that in average do not have to represent nor 10% of their total area. In 90% rest exploration workings were not made. Although the previous codes of mining forced to make workings of exploration or operation to maintain the use of the concessions, this disposition did not reach to the nationalized mines because the Political Constitution of the State indicates that they cannot expire and therefore they are released of the payment of mining patents.
The 5 In the facts nationalized concessions are equivalent to rich zones of fiscal reserve not forced to be explored, constituting for that reason one of the main causes for I leave behind of our mining.
The 6 possibilities of finding new packages mineralized in these explored areas are not high, as it occurred in Colquiri where an exploration with financial support of JICA allowed to quantify reserves of polimetálicos of a million tons, like in Pulacayo where two private companies determined new reserves of polimetálicos that are said reach to 20 million tons, in Japo where a zone apt for the massive mining of tin exists or in Corocoro where interesting zones of copper oxides exist.
7 Single the longevity of some great and noble filonianas mines - that some moment will be exhausted has avoided the collapse of the Bolivian mining. It is mining responsibility of the governors and authorities to initiate immediately tendientes works of exploration to the development of new mines.
Recommendations
1 vital Resulta making a planned and maintained affluent exploration in the concessions of the great mines of Comibol, that have the best geologic possibilities to develop new mines and to give thus sustainability to our mining, sunk in an alarming and continuous declination that many do not know and other that are even bound to the sector assumes it with dangerous indifference.
2 the departure economic support for this exploration must come from than 20 million dollars deposited the more by Comibol in banks of the United States that few know to the amount nor who or that and how they control them and they handle. It will be important that the respective authorities clarify this situation to avoid future susceptibilities and problems. In addition, a law will have to be promulgated that it indicates that these bottoms single can be destined for works of exploration.
3 the exploration outside the state areas will have to be made by national or foreign companies private for those who legal security will have to exist and a stable tributary regime, competitive and equitable.
works just fine for me....

brilliant investment advise, eh?
"I emailed the company and emailed, Mr. Austin personally, to no avail. The email address I have been using is what I believe to be his personal address.
Has anybody been able to contact him??"
here is the response i recieved yesterday from an email to info@franklinmining.com-
"A.S. Austin Company Inc.
xxx,
In response to your inquiry about Outstanding Shares, Float, and COMIBOL agreement: There are aproximately 1.7 Billion shares outstanding and aproximately 16 million in the float. Franklin Mining is a non-reporting company so we can not say exactly how many, but we have requested the information from them. I can not send you the COMIBOL agreement for two reasons: 1. I have not seen it yet 2. Franklin is a public company and until they release this information in a Press Release it is illegal to give it to private holders. Franklin Mining puts out a lot of press releases and we will keep you updated. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
Sincerely,
Steven Becker"
CAUTION investors!!!-
this is a non-reporting company that has been incorporated for 2 years and not released any public information. there is no contact information except an email address that i(although apparently alone) have never recieved a response from. as far as i can tell, there is no way to confirm or deny that this is a fraudulent "shell"-
there is a rumor abound that insinuates this will "run" when a supposed momo trading group(the "unit") begins to buy it(which will supposedly happen after the release of an update from the company). whether this is true or not it certainly shouldnt form a basis upon which to make any investment decision. if this "group" really "runs" this stock, they obviously intend to sell their shares into the "run"(thats how they make money, right?) and will thusly need to sell those shares to some unwitting "bag-holders"...
CAUTION, invest carefully...
IT IS THE EFFECT OF THE FILM “THE MINES OF THE DEVIL”
Wednesday 19 of Julio of the year 2006 Potosí - Bolivia
http://www.elpotosi.net/2006/0719/p__8.html
German ONG donated a million
of Euros for mining children
The money must be
employee in avoiding
that the children
work in the mine
The organization nongovernmental Kindernothilfe German (who is more or less translated as “Aid to needed children”) donated a million Euros in order to foment plans and programs that they avoid that the children of Potosí enter to work to the mines.
The decision to donate extreme resemblance of money - that is equivalent to 1.2 million dollars was assumed after projection of the film “The Devil' s to miner” (“the mines of the devil”) of the film directors Kiev Davison and Richard Ladkani.
“The Devil' s to miner” is a documentary one that narrates the history of Basilio Vargas, a boy of 14 years who was itself forced to enter to work to the mines of the Hill Rico, and its brother Bernardino. The cinematographic production, that not yet was projected in our city, has gained several prizes in its sort but, in addition, it managed to affect much people according to is possible to be read in the Internet forums.
The dispersed information on the subject indicates that between the affected ones they had to be the executives of the newspaper “Bild”, one of most important of Europe, and “Ein Herz für Kinder” (“a heart for the children”), a German organization founded to help the needed children whom the donation of the million Euros approved.
Apparently, Kindernothilfe is the operator of “Ein Herz für Kinder” because she is that the one that appears mentioned when it is spoken of the donation.
Kindernothilfe would have transferred the money directly to the project “Mining Childhood of the Hill Rico” in order to take ahead a program that it avoids that the children are themselves forced to work in the mines, as it happened with Basilio Vargas.
With a part of that money one would directly have attended Basilio and its family, that now would subsist thanks on sale of utensils of kitchen in a store installed for the effect. Also one says that Kindernothilfe would have donated a cinematographic screen “for a group of mining children - including a Basilio and its brother that could see a film for the first time”.
However, this newspaper could not confirm these information inasmuch as, according to it made notice prefect, Mario Virreira, does not exist control on the nongovernmental organizations who only have the obligation to register themselves.

THEY ARE EXTRACTING 12 THOUSAND TONS DAY
Wednesday 19 of Julio of the year 2006 Potosí - Bolivia
http://www.elpotosi.net/2006/0719/p__6.html
Low the silver and also
the work in the hill
They are already about 12 thousands
those that work in
the mines of
cooperatives
The reduction of the price of the silver that was registered in last hours, affected the volumes of loads immediately that leave the Hill Rico and thus it perceives the regional manager of the Mining Corporation of Bolivia (Comibol), Jose Manuel Farfán.
The mining authority esteem that the reduction of the price of the silver affected so that at the moment an average of 3,200 to 3,500 tons of loads mineralized per day is being extracted.
The 32 mining cooperatives that are operating in the area of the Hill Rico de Potosí would be extracting 3,200 tons of mineralized loads, nevertheless that amount could vary if the price of the silver rises.
In last months the amount of load that Rico de Potosí was leaving the Hill was of 4 thousand tons daily, according to reports of the state miner.
In relation to the past year an arduous extractive mineral activity is had in the mines of this called deposit the Bolivian and who is of property of the State and is in charge of the Comibol.
The cooperativistas pay a rent rate of the 1 percent of the gross value of the production since it is a low price but that it responds to the logic to support to the productive organizations.
12 thousand people work in the 32 mining cooperatives and give in average about 170 thousand Bolivians to the Comibol, resources that are used in the operation of the regional one and the balance goes to La Paz but it returns for the execution of some projects and in the past like Coupons of Use.
An element which leaders of the Departmental Federation of Mining Cooperatives of Potosí remarcan (Fedecomin), is the social contribution that grants when giving a considerable amount of work sources.
The 12 thousand people who work in the galleries that the mining cooperatives occupy constitute a factor of dinamización of the economy then weekly take to their homes an entrance that is distributed in the commerce and the different services to which the mining families accede.
Nevertheless the cooperativistas want to improve their productive capacity and request new sources of use because it is clear that at some time they will have to leave the Hill Rico due to his deterioration.

Miners demand to nationalize the mining
http://www.areaminera.com/Contenidos/Noticias/Dia/5793.act
The wage-earning miners of Huanuni requested this Friday to the unions affiliated with Central Bolivian Obrera (COB), to organize itself to impel mobilizations destined to nationalize the mining. “We want that the Comibol is the only mining state company in charge of the operation of all the mineralógicos resources of the country”, it express the document spread by the Bolivian Workers Union. In the uprising they request to apply the Collective Working Control to prevent that the Comibol finishes again “hackneyed by the State”. In that sense they demand to president Evo Morales the immediate nationalization of all the mining deposits that are into the hands of the transnational companies and of the national private company. The wage-earning miners, who maintain a dispute with the cooperativistas by the tin reserves of the Posokoni hill in Huanuni, raise the nationalization without indemnification to the private companies so that the State assumes the absolute control of the deposits. “At the moment the prices of minerals in the world-wide market return to recover and we want to avoid that the transnational companies control our mineralógicos resources, undressing from this wealth to the country”, they warned.

IT CLARIFIES THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT TO IT:
Monday 17 of Julio of the year 2006 Potosí - Bolivia
http://www.elpotosi.net/2006/0717/p__1.html
Mining concessions
they cannot negotiate
A constitutional sentence says that those that accede to
mining concessions cannot sell them, to mortgage them nor
to leave them like inheritance because they are of state property
To have a mining concession is not like having a house and, therefore, the concessionaires cannot mortgage it, form societies, sell it or inherit it to their children, according to settles down Constitutional Sentencia 0032/2006 that left the 10 May of this year.
The mentioned sentence arises the deputy at the request of Juan Gabriel Baptist who demanded the inconstitucional of several articles of the Code of Minería (CM).
In the demand it is indicated that “the observation of unconstitutionality is centered in which the mining concession, granted by the Supervision of Mines and that constitutes a good and national wealth, through the indicated norms, they can pass `to dominion' of an individual by means of a simple contract enrolled in the Technical Service of Real Mines and Rights, which is that attempt to arranged by articles 59.5ª and 7ª of the Political Constitution of Estado (CPE)”.
Also, it gives account that in article 72 of the Mining Code indicates that the mining concession can be mortgaged, the creditor can take to the execution or another litigation until the closing of the properties over which there is a tax, according to the civil law, aspect that does not correspond because the CPE defines that the mining wealth is patrimony of the State.
Also arts. 72, 74 and 75 of the cm, `is pronounced that “incredibly' allow `mortgages' of the mining concessions, which implies permisión for the distraction of a national good in case of failing to fulfill itself with the obligation, which is inconceivable to be made directly by an individual”.
With those arguments, Juan Gabriel Baptist indicated that the mentioned articles of the Code of Mining are against the CPE and, therefore, corresponded to define his unconstitutionality and to modify the irregularities that under protection of comment this questioned legal norm.
The members of the Constitutional Court in the argumentation of their sentence detail “art. 4 of the cm it express that the mining concession constitutes a real right different from the one from the property of the estate in which is, although that one and this one belong to the same person. It is real estate, transferable and transmissible by hereditary succession”.
The UNCONSTITUTIONALITY of articles questioned thus is declared any sale or mortgages of a concession is illegal since therefore it arranges the mentioned sentence to it.
MILLION LEAVE THE DEPARTMENT

They demand reinvestment of the mining utilities
The resources that the activity generates mining cannot serve so that other departments fortify their economy and for that reason it is that the leaders of the Civic Committee Potosinista (Comcipo) impel the reinvestment of the utilities of that sector of the economy.
The civic leader, Humberto Morales, consider that he is intolerable who some that is denominated cooperativistas knead enormous fortunes and take to other regions of the country leaving in single Potosí destruction, contamination and poverty to them.
Also it detailed that the one is due to take like example of Orlando Careaga that made a strong investment in a hotel of five stars that without a doubt constitutes a good contribution to the activity of the tourism.
He was sorry that between the Alave and other industralists of the mining that same spirit does not exist and who the gains leave to Sucre or other capitals of the country.
The leader is accumulating a series of data that give account of great projects that are being faced in Sucre, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz with money of the potosina mining, aspect that is not due to allow more because the wealth than leaves the subsoil ours must benefit to the own potosinos.
The reports give account that at the moment is exporting an average of 300 million dollars per year, of which a good part constitutes the gain that remains into the hands of some people who handle to the process of extraction and treatment of the concentrated ones.
Not in vain one says that some mining industralists have fortunes that are between the 9 and 10 million dollars whereas the miners continue receiving some cents, aspect that must be modified, according to indicates Morals.
