Great insight, thank you. So many trading mechanisms that I never knew about. I’m still long $ITHUF for some odd reason. Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment.
Ohhh, the bragging. I left several FB penny groups because of that. Apparently it's not enough for someone to make a bunch of money on a trade -- they have to let the world know about their trading prowess, right down to the exact dollar amount that they made on that particular trade. I guess it makes them feel good about themselves. I feel like it's the equivalent of an NBA player trash-talking his opponent after hitting a big shot.
Very true, great analysis. And after that nose dive, the whole sector rode the wave of hysteria leading up to Canada's full legalization in October 2018. Remember when Tilray hit $300 in September? No doubt some traders made big money on MJ stocks last summer and early fall. Then the whole sector got pulled down by the broader market in the last three months of the year ... only to rebound nicely in Q1 2019, and then come back to earth in recent weeks. It's been quite a ride!
You are right -- there are some powerful catalysts on the horizon. Hopefully what you mentioned will come to fruition. And full legalization is inevitable; at the very least, we'll continue to see more states legalize it every year, through ballot initiatives or the legislatures. And I suspect MJ could become a hot topic on the campaign trail in the run-up to the election next year. It'll probably be a roller coaster ride. Like you said, buy the dips. :)
Well played. I hope you’re enjoying retirement!
Glad I’m not the only one! I left the FB group a few months ago because I couldn’t bear to read one more post asking “Why is the share price going down?” or one more post about someone’s plans for early retirement when they become a KGKG millionaire.
Great company with a bright future, and I’m still holding my shares. Just trying not to get sucked into the pot stock hysteria.
I added some shares at .015.
You know what else is healthy? 100% all-natural Apple Rush. :)
Do you think a chat group is accumulating shares?
Is he a short seller?
Remove the fruit. lol
I’m not surprised. I like all the flavors except blueberry, but the apple flavor is my favorite. I can’t get enough of it. And I consider myself a picky eater.
I used to like Izze (which they sell at chipotle), but after trying apple rush, izze tastes like cough medicine.
Thank you for sharing the results of your due diligence. While this is amazing detective work, it's also a sobering channel check, unfortunately.
I can't help but try to figure out why the product isn't flying off the shelves. The logical explanations might include:
* People don't like the product and/or the product is inferior to similar products -- Personally, I love Apple Rush (it tastes way better than IZZE, in my opinion), but that doesn't mean everyone else will.
* The pricepoint is just too high.
* Lack of brand awareness.
* Lack of marketing/advertising support -- A new-product introduction has to be supported by an advertising blitz in the local market. Otherwise, how will people know it even exists? Whether it's TV, radio, print, point-of-sale, billboards, etc., the brand and logo need to be plastered all over the market for people to remember it.
* Too much competition -- The beverage industry is a crowded, competitive space.
Based on my love of Apple Rush, I find it hard to believe that the product itself is the problem. The pricepoint certainly isn't helping, but I think the main issue is lack of brand awareness. The in-store tastings are nice, but without a coordinated marketing/advertising blitz in the St. Louis metropolitan market (or whichever market we're launching in), this product is going to get lost in the shuffle.
Just my thoughts. Would be curious to see what everyone else thinks.
Thanks again for your amazing DD.
I don’t think so but it’s bad. The whole sector has fallen out of favor ... for now.
I’m fine with that. I want more.
Today North Dakota, tomorrow South Dakota!
I also have bought Nightfood at a Meier (in Ohio). The Nightfood section was picked over — there were only a few pints left.
Thanks for your comments. I'm long POTN and it's nice to hear some positive comments on this board. I'm assuming multi-dollars is a pipe dream for now because of the dilution, but I do see it getting back to the .15 to .20 range later this year.
What I've seen with a lot of the pot stocks is irrational, exaggerated movement to the upside and downside. Right now, pot/CBD stocks seem to be out of favor with investors, which is creating a lot of great buying opportunities, in my opinion.
Could you elaborate? I'm new to penny stocks and I was just speculating. How do you know it wasn't?
Long APRU here! Love the product and no plans to sell anytime soon.
Maybe it's somebody who got a bunch of shares at a deep discount for "services rendered" and decided to ring the register.
Sound advice. Great buying opportunity here. The future is very bright for NGTF.
I'm long CROP, and naturally this PR got my attention. I had to re-read it several times to make sure the $89.5 million number wasn't a typo. At first I assumed they meant $895,000. Does anyone else find this announcement hard to believe? I mean, if it's true, this is a huge, huge order for a company with no revenue. Also:
"The total anticipated value of the Supply Agreement, if the Initial Term is extended, is expected to be approximately USD$131,500,000."
Does anyone else (and not just the short sellers) find these numbers hard to believe? If they are legit, this order would make CROP one of the top cannabis/CBD companies by revenue, and this stock should be skyrocketing. But it all seems a bit fanciful to me.
You hit the nail on the head! Long APRU here and looking forward to my variety 12-pack arriving today for the Memorial Day weekend!
The CEO and CFO continue to liquidate their positions, a few thousand shares at a time. Maybe I should liquidate mine too. They are really sticking it to their investors!
Another day, another insider dumping shares. Did a lockup period expire? Good grief.
Everybody could be red tomorrow if there’s no trade deal. This is great long-term news for POTN. It’s a huge step in the right direction.
I'm guessing the interview was recorded before Ronnda's departure.
I was mistaken about Leonard Marshall. He was a defensive lineman, not a running back. :)
Tony Torgerud interviewed
https://wallstreetanalyzer.com/2019/05/06/apple-rush-company-inc-otc-apru-interview-with-ceo-tony-torgerud/
I took a few notes. Definitely worth a listen.
- "Some big-box stores are looking at us right now."
- Expanding into Minnesota and Wisconsin
- Signed a deal in New Jersey, expanding there in the next few weeks
- Seeing growth in sales of private-label CBD products. "That's where the profit growth is gonna come from." A couple of deals in the works that could grow sales "exponentially."
- Producing 25,000 15 ml tincture bottles every week. Wants to ramp up to 75,000 per week.
- Testing CBD-infused Apple Rush blueberry product
- Expect announcement soon regarding new private-label licensing deal
- Former NFL running back Leonard Marshall helping company expand in New England
- Working on a variety of CBD products -- pain tabs, tinctures, deodorant, soap, vape oils, etc.
- Contracts signed for his purchase of all APRU shares held by LiveWire (15 billion shares); will reduce O/S count to 5 billion
- "Working with several large chain stores to put product into." (Not sure if he was talking about Apple Rush, CBD or both)
And that's completely understandable. Judging by the number of new accounts she created, Ronnda clearly was emotionally invested in the company. And she probably was overworked and underpaid, like most people are. Her family may very well voice their displeasure with APRU by selling 100% of their shares at 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning, and that's their right to do so. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
New to the world of penny stocks here and just trying to learn as much as I can.
Thank you for your perspective on the situation. It's refreshingly rational.
Regarding some of the posts predicting that the share price will take a hit because of Ronnda's departure, it's certainly possible that some investors could overreact, and that's their prerogative. For long-term investors like me, though, it just creates an opportunity to add to my position at a lower price.
What's happening inside the company that we should know about? Let's get it out in the open so we can verify it.
Agreed. It's a major loss, if it's true. Sounds like she was a fantastic sales rep. But turnover is a part of any business. They still have a great product. Sales and marketing people are a dime a dozen. Not trying to discount Ronnda's contributions to the company. But they will move on.
Big news: We are dominating the North Dakota market! It’s a new strategy focusing on the most sparsely populated states. Look out Wyoming and Montana!
On a serious note, I'm long APRU and addicted to the beverages. I understand why the company would saturate Florida (its home market), but not sure why the big push in North Dakota of all places. Does APRU have business ties there?
Well, we hit a milestone. The stock price is at 0.00 today. No one in their right mind would buy this stock. I’ll be stuck with this worthless shell company forever.
Never mind. Googled it. At first I thought maybe it was an Apple Rush beverage that didn’t pan out. Lol
What is DTC chill?
Ordered a 12-pack on Amazon yesterday and it should arrive today. Looking forward to enjoying some APRU this weekend!
And the bottom-line numbers are awful. (Finally got a chance to look through the financial statement.)
The top-line numbers certainly look really good.
