By "lm" do you mean liquid metal generically or LiquidMetal specifically?
Why are peeps getting all worked up over web links from 3 years ago? This is a nothing burger!!! Its about the original iPhone SE, no?
Thanks for your response PayMEmf. Swatch Group's watch revenue is around $7 billion and almost 1/2 of that is from middle and mass-market brands such as Tissot, Swatch and Calvin Klein brands which is unlikely to use a material that's not cost advantageous. Additionally, Swiss watch manufacturers take great pride in in-house manufacturing and thus highly unlikely to have someone else produce parts for their watches. For example, Omega developed a process for producing LiquidMetal numerals in the ceramic bezel in-house. This is just my two cents.
Swatch has had exclusive license for several years and has been using LiquidMetal w/o any meaningful revenue for LQMT. Please elaborate how Swiss watches will play into producing meaningful revenue. Thanks.
Instead of complaining about Bond and his followers, trade the opportunity and make some money while waiting for LQMT do something. Being afflicted with FOMO doesn't do anyone any good.
Thanks for the insight
Most if not all coronary artery stents are safe up to 3 Tesla. So in majority of cases it’s fine.
Just curious. What are the benefits of stent made of amorphous alloy? Strength and flexibility can't be it as they're not an issue with traditional stents on the market as far as I know.
Because of the number of shares I hold?
I don't believe for a second LQMT can sustain a share price of $1-$2 in the next 12-18 months. This is a gamble not an investment. A couple of pops in share price and I'll certainly be out most of my shares.
Just think. $1 in share price with 5x revenue valuation implies it needs to generate almost $200 mil in revenues. That valuation is richer than Tesla's nosebleed valuation.
Ya, Apple Watches are CE so like all CE products they'll be worth pennies on the dollar in several years in large part due to advancement in technology, which can't really be said of Swiss watches. Swiss watches for the most part are not much better in terms of depreciation with a few exceptions. I owned 8 of them at one point and you realize their value when you go to sell them. Fraction of what you paid.
Part of downward trend starting in 2015 can maybe explained by Apple Watch?
Apple Watch outsold all Swiss watches combined in Q4 2017.
Unless you bought shares at IPO or a secondary offering, your share purchases are not funding the co, technically or otherwise. whereas every penny invested by Li is. How does you buying shares from me fund the co?
LQMT is a public co only on paper. In reality it's a dictatorship. Li controls the BoD, pays everyone's wages, pays for all research, raw materials, on and on....
LQMT is also a gamble, not an investment. One or two pops in share price and I'm out. Don't hold your breath waiting for $5 (which means $1+ bin in revenues which is a steep valuation).
Well put!
If this site is accurate then LG G7 will have aluminum frame.

What part of LG G7 is supposed to contain LQMT/EON parts?
There are plenty of successful cos that didn’t turn a profit for a long time, Amazon for example. But these cos are generating revenues and ploughing it back into their business to grow it. Not something we can say about LQMT sadly.
Was hoping to pick up some cheap shares. Where are all the sellers that were huffing and puffing about being out?
Potential vs revenue. I’m curious. Which do you think will have a greater impact on share price? Apple’s announcement of use of liquidmetal or $5 mln in medical device orders?
Hope so but...
Bond's claim of "as it's done over and over for years" isn't true. Only 3 out of last 10 years.
That info has always been available under his bio.
Btw Panerai isn't a Swatch Group brand. It belongs to Richemont so their "BMG-Tech" isn't our metal.
This is just a wild guess but my suspicion is the licensing agreement with Swatch Group basically pays for the raw material and not much else. Swatch has developed its own methods in actual production of cases, dials etc. Given that these watches are produced in low volume Liquidmetal generates insignificant $$$ from Swatch to date and going forward.
We have to go back several years when this deal was inked and understand the state Liquidmetal was in financially. Swatch deal was probably given away pennies-on-the-dollar style just like Apple. Unless Apple is to litigate against Swatch as to whether Apple Watch is a watch or CE, I have little hope in seeing it in Apple Watch anytime soon.
Panerai BMG-Tech MSRP is about $10K and can be purchased for around $9K. BTW this is old news as reviews of watch date back more than a year.
