skier- Your attitude is very understandable. Those of us who have been here a while have ALL posted or thought exactly what you just did. Hang in there.
We are at the point now where we wait, and wait, and wait. It would not make sense for those of us in over .01 to get out now. It is just a matter of whether or not you can stay positive. For me, it depends on the day. By the way what day is it, Wednesday?
Great! That means I am thinking positive today. LOL
Now, am I positive this stock sucks or am I positive we will rebound? Crap, now I am talking to myself and getting a headache.
C-Ya
Your analysis appears accurate. The program is a classic "feel good" marketing campaign that actually saves BAC money compared to a 1% rebate. People like the idea of an easy way to increase their savings and it sounds like a good way to do it to the consumer.
What it really helps is in creating a way for a lazy society to put money away into savings.
If you make 4 purchases a day and use your philosophy of averaging .50 transfered per, then you would be putting about $60 per month away plus the 5% bonus ($3). I don't know what the current interest is on a savings account at BAC, but I am sure it ain't much.
If someone really wanted to consistently get a higher rate of return, there are accounts out there that pay a decent return (4-5%). One could just transfer $100 per month into it. You would be saving more money at a higher rate. The only thing you lose is the one time bonus of $3.
Better yet, Every couple of months buy a few more shares of BAC and you get the divi benefit plus the PPS value.
Don't get me wrong, I do not think it is a bad program, but as your example shows, there area better ways to save. It just takes a little more effort. The best thing to do is to do both. Transfer your own set amount into another account and sign up for either a 1% cash back or "Keep the Change" program. That way you are saving at a decent rate plus you have the added bonus of one of these programs.
The big perk about Keep the Change is that it is money you will not miss, just like all the loose change we lose or toss in a tip jar.
This is off the top of my head so please feel free to correct me if this does not make sense. It would not be the first time I confused someone.
JMO
I bet it will predict the "possibility" of something positive happening "soon" regarding a "major" company. JMO
I would love to be wrong.
There is no such thing here. eom
Thank you Spence for the reminder. eom
Works for me. eom

OT: Welcome to SPECULATION UNIVERSITY where we will charge you $100 for a $12 book, make you sit in class endlessly, test you, give you a grade and a diploma, and then after all that, the world will think you are smart and hire you to sit in meetings and speculate on how to make more money for some guy who paid $200 for his $12 book.
Oh wait, that sounds like every college in the country. LOL
(I know it is a run-on sentence) I think... where is that old text book? Oh that's right, the school bought it back from me for $8.
What are you smokin'?
OT: Once again, hang in there. I am actually spending "quality time" with my two boys (9 and 6) today. They both seem to have come down with either food poisoning or some type of flu. Either way, we were all up the entire night and since my wife is out of town on a field trip with her 5th grade class (teacher) I pulled daddy doctor duty.
Good luck with your strep.
OT: Ward- How's the boy doing?
OT: Ahhh memories. You know, if we keep sharing stories I am going to start feeling down right chipper about HISC. LOL
Hang in there Ward, and Ward Jr.
Ward: You are absolutely correct. This stock can play tricks with your head if you let it. I am almost always optimistic about life in general. HISS is testing all of us and if it does tank, oh well, life goes on.
I also have a 9 year old son and I know exactly what you are going through. I hope he gets better soon. Isn't it interesting that even though it is a tough day for you and him, there is still a positive in that you get to spend "time" together. Can't explain it to people without kids, but I am glad you recognize the opportunity regardless of the circumstance. Hang in there.
On a positive note: My son and I went out yesterday to buy a new glove for baseball this year. There is something about the simple pleasure of playing catch with your son (or daughter) and watching them smile while they break in their new glove. Again, can't explain it, but it really does not matter what happens to this stock compared to what is really important.
Sorry board for getting a little too far off-topic.
I resemble that thought.
OT: Now there is a new prank for the college kids. Go around pouring a little beer on someone's steering wheel and, poof, car won't start.
Personally, I would never waste my beer... but I would waste yours. LOL
OT: Simone- Catty was referring to the TV show "24". It has nothing to do with HISC.
lowcien- I know "Who" just said it also, but you are making our point for us. It is not negative or pessimistic, it is just reality.
Nothing big has happened. Actually based on the lack of PRs, nothing at all has happened. We are standing still at best and that is the same as dying in business.
"Time" is not on our side. Not when other companies are PRing contracts right in front of our face.
It is a long hard road to straighten this company out and even the best corporate minds might not be able to. That is something everyone invested needs to admit to themselves.
YES, I will celebrate if we turn this thing around because I am standing firm with what I have left, but I am not going to sit here and pretend everything is rosy.
I hear ya Happy. By the way...
This goes along with your statement at the bottom:
"A realist sees that without preparation an opportunity will become a calamity."
Lloyd- Assuming your $$ are gone is a good approach. On a scale of 0-10 I will give our chances a 2+. The plus is because I am an optimistic person. LOL
There is nothing but "Hope" left. All the charts and expertise went out the window long ago. Hopefully the new management will pull off a miracle, but even that will take a while. Hopefully we are not being scammed by a new set of people. Hopefully we will get to have that drink together and laugh about it someday.
GLTY
No apologies - Send the Brochure out anyway - Let's hope if we do pull a rabbit out of our hat, it does not crap on us and is holding several million $$$ in sales and deliveries.
Happy New Year!
Spence- I firmly believe that those responsible for our demise will "Get Theirs". Justice will be served. People who deceive and appear to profit will pay dearly when they deceive someone who has the ability to make them pay.
We all suffer now, but I refuse to go down that road of behavior for it will come back to bite you hard.
In my life, my conscious is clear and I imagine yours is too. I would rather be taken advantage of, then be the one who takes advantage of others.
We may still see a profitable HISS and if we do, WOW, what a day it will be. It is a long shot, but hey, it is possible.
I'm sorry Who, could you repeat that?
Support @ .001? I am sorry but I have been listening to people post about support for over a year and it is always just a little less than the current PPS.
When we were at .07, support was at .06. When we are at .02, support was at .015, etc, etc...
Please. This stock has no support or chart that is predictable or reliable. The only thing I am fairly sure of is that we will have support when we hit .000.
We will continue to bounce and fall depending on the MM's mood until we SELL something significant and retire shares. End of story.
There is an old saying that you can not turn a mule into a race horse. Heck, I would settle for a really fast mule right now. We are riding a limping mule that is about to be shot.
I am done ranting and venting now so give me your best shot.
I am going to go grab a bottle of rum and start feeling better. LOL I used to buy "top shelf" brands, but now I am down to generic sh*t.
Oh ya, have a great weekend everyone!
Pete- Logic will tell you that if we don't see a follow up PR telling us about the actual sale and payment, then they all fell through or were fake. If you still believe in the company, then those announcements you found should be taken as hopeful wishes not concrete contracts.
Sorry everybody but it is what it is.
No problem. LOL Maybe we could set up a "Mayor by Committee" government
The problem is that many foreign markets are going to look at what works and get info from people who already own similar products. Very few people know whether or not our product really works or even WHAT it is so they will not be very interested in us when proven products are already out there.
If our product is as good as reported, then we are driving a Ferrari in the slow lane on the highway and we are being passed by a convoy of Chrysler "K" cars.
P.S. The lane we are in leads to a city called Chumptown and there are a whole bunch of us qualified to be mayor.
Thanks- IMO the bottom line is that we can not keep chasing companies and begging them to try our product. We NEED to create brand recognition so people will find us too. There is nothing wrong with following leads, but if our product is as good as HISS claims, then we need to create a marketing campaign to let EVERYONE know about it. A government contract would be great, but I have said it before, in the time it takes to land one government contract we could have 10 new clients in the private sector. Those ten clients tell their clients, who tell their clients, and so forth and so on.
NONE of that happens without BRAND RECOGNITION. IMO of course.
I realize many of you will never read this since it is late except out here in Cali, but that is ok. I am used to nobody listening.
Good night all
Remember: A good marketing campaign is not an expense, it is an investment.
Who - Bottom line is you know the commercial. The advertisers don't care if it is labeled as stupid or brilliant. Either way it spells success for the brand recognition.
I would love to hear people rip on our Ads some day since that would mean we HAVE Ads.
The cost would definitely go up some, but Digeo is much more complicated to set up and operate than we are.
It would not cost us "tens of thousands to furnish and operate".
We do not need 29 employees to attend, at least not at the companies expense.
Digeo is obviously spending a ton of money if they are going from $24,500 to over $500,000 just on the one show.
Anyway, your point is well taken and I understand where you are coming from.
The one good thing about backing out of the show is that it shows me that management is evaluating when and where to spend our dollars and not just tossing it around like it grows on trees.
Exactly - Sorry I don't remember the salesman, too young for that one.
Seriously, I would like to see what is planned for advertisement, because if HISS thinks "pounding the pavement" is going to work, then we are cooked.
Thanks Who. I am as stumped as you are.
"Buy a Dog, get a CT"
Say this part fast:
Supplies limited, no rainchecks, monthly fees apply, see Roadie-Who-Putts Marketing group for details.
Spence- Your efforts are greatly appreciated. I am used to putting together brochures and I know that it is not as easy as people think. Thank you for going that extra mile, again.
I can't imagine, though, HISS allowing it to be put out with their name on it unless it is their property, even with a disclaimer. I hope I am wrong because we need all the help we can get and I would like to see your work rewarded. At worst, they ought to send you as many of their brochures as needed and maybe yours is better than their's and they might learn something or alter the existing ones.
They could give you credit at the bottom of the back page in tiny print, not that you need credit for it. I am sure you would take the higher PPS as credit enough, right?
Ward- can you imagine handing everyone a brochure with their dog. LOL Seriously, I bet you could do pretty well selling dogs at a convention like that. People waiting forever in line to get a stale sandwich inside.
"Hey buddy, you want mustard on that? How about a CT? What's a CT? Glad you asked. ))
Good morning everyone. I have been gone for a week and I am just getting caught up. Several hundred posts so I know I won't read all of them.
CES - $30,000 + expenses is not a lot of money for a show like this. That is only a fraction of what ONE new customer could bring in, let alone the exposure of all the people walking around. Part of what I don't think management has a grasp on is that name recognition plays a big part in sales. We do not have our name out there, publicly. If a booth was done right you could sit there for four days talking your tail off and being seen and then one customer calls you two weeks later to discuss a contract and it was all worth it. Not to mention getting the name seen and recognized in the future. Our product can be three times as good as Microsoft's, but they will outsell us in there sleep. We need exposure.
I work in the golf industry and every year we have a PGA merchandise show in Florida and use over 1,000,000 square feet of space. The big boys have booths of over 10,000 square feet and the little guys have cubicles that are less than 100 square feet. These little guys still hand out thousands of business cards and brochures and talk to a lot of people. It is worth it if it is done right, but oh well.
Another thought would be to give $30,000 worth of CTs to potential clients to try. Put the CT in their hands and they won't want to give it back.
I know this new management is working much harder to fix things and do things right, but it is too bad we have to miss the biggest show there is.
I hope you are right and we actually make some solid contacts at CES this year. I am in a "Believe it when I see it" mood. It is not optimistic or pessimistic, but rather somewhere in the middle.
Just like last years show produced a lot of action. LOL
Thanks for the info. Scottrade takes 3 days with an electronic transfer, Hmmm. However, if I walk in a check the funds are available the next business day by 11am. For me it is an impulse security feature. LOL
Happy New Year... almost
Thanks Red. Merry X-mas & Happy New Year
Merry Christmas Spencer. Thank you for all your work here and Happy New Year. Don't worry about the spelling, you have earned enough "street cred" to be exempt. LOL
Thank you chucker. I truly hope 2007 holds many positive changes for you.
God Bless and Merry Christmas
