News: Shrink Nanotechnologies Unveils Product Image of Initial StemDisc450 Prototype
-- Targets Q4 2010 for Roll-Out of Patent-Pending Biomedical Research Tool --
CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Shrink Nanotechnologies, Inc. ("Shrink") (OTC Bulletin Board: INKN), an innovative nanotechnology company developing products and licensing opportunities in the alternative energy industry, medical diagnostics and sensors and biotechnology research and development tools businesses, revealed an image of its first product offering – the StemDisc450™, a high-yield, low cost, patent-pending cell culturing biomedical research tool. Shrink expects to begin offering this product for sale in the latter part of 2010.
"Tissue engineering and cell culturing are high growth areas of the biotechnology field. This trend is being fueled as the idea of 'personalized medicine' – or 'therapeutics and treatments made for you' - becomes a reality. And as the personalized medicine movement grows, biotech and pharmaceutical companies are focusing on the promise of novel research, especially new cellular-based therapies, to help combat cancer, spinal cord injuries, diabetes, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, and many more. StemDisc is a platform for Shrink to offer a growing suite of products that will address an important spectrum of the needs within cellular and tissue engineering technologies and tools," Mark L. Baum, CEO of Shrink Nanotechnologies, Inc.
"We have started field testing of our first StemDisc450 prototypes, and we anticipate being able to show time lapse videos of this product performing, and actually developing HESCs (human embryonic stem cells) and IPSCs (induced pluripotent stem cells)," added Baum. "Shrink is exploring opportunities with established stem cell R&D companies for potential strategic partnerships for the sale and marketing of StemDisc™ products. Our primary target market is the more than 3,000 stem cell research labs and 15,000 biomedical laboratories operating in the United States."
About StemDisc
StemDisc is designed to improve embryoid body (EB) formation of stem cells at a higher rate and efficiency over current EB formation methods. The platform can be used to grow and differentiate human and animal single cells, human embryonic stem cells (HESCs) and induced pluri-potent stem cells (IPSCs). Versions of StemDisc's unique honeycomb-like well will be offered in different diameter and depth depending on the type of cell and application. Each round bottom "microwell" is capable of making 800 to 1,000 EBs, increasing the flexibility of use for researchers to achieve optimum EB formation with high reliability compared to legacy methods. A unique feature of the StemDisc product line is the optical transparency of the surface that the cells rest in. The StemDisc polymer offers amazing transparency, providing the cell biologist with the ability to see more of what she is doing as she completes her research. StemDisc's five micron walls between microwells virtually assure a clean transfer of the biological material into a well – in a few easy steps, helping to further lower costs and accelerate the time to publish results of potentially life-saving studies. If you are interested in receiving more information about StemDisc, please contact us by visiting www.shrinknano.com.

They have exclusive worldwide distribution rights to a very unique academic-developed nanotechnology for use in a wide variety of industries, including Biotech, Pharma, and Solar, among others. They have just signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Corning for a nano-fludic pump technology. Their main product is just coming to market this month.
The stock PPS has tripled coming off of its early September low. It has been under steady accumulation for the last several weeks. The cheap shares appear to be gone and now in stronger hands. And the PPS continues to move upward on good volume.
Given their unique business opportunity the PPS should continue to rise over the next several months, and possibly years. IMO this one is more of a longer-term investment grade stock, and not necessarily a flipper's play thing. But you just never know. Really good news could cause it to breakout and run.
Good Luck to All Longs.

We're just getting started here.
Stock PPS has about tripled in a month, coming off the bottom. If it triples again we will be back near the 200-day Moving Average at .48
I am almost even again, but still slightly in the red. I started buying this at .15 and added all the way down to .10 but had no dry powder left to add some at the bottom. So I have been waiting patiently for what seems like a long time.
I like watching that Forum Follower count in the upper right corner of the main forum page. I use it as an indicator of increasing shareholder interest. When I arrived here the count was about 6 Followers. Last week this time it was 14. It was 23 yesterday and 26 today. The word is getting out.
Most of the folks who are coming on board lately are buying their initial positions. And that is drying up the cheap shares rapidly. There really weren't many sold below .07 and over 2M in volume in last two days. Today, we witnessed someone selling a few that they probably bought down around .06 or so. There can't be many cheapies left.
You can tell that it doesn't take much to move this around. With this buying strength I really don't think we shall see these cheap prices much longer. As more folks arrive they're hitting the Ask and the available shares are bought up quickly.
The tape tells the tale.
Good Luck to All Longs...

Article from a year ago provides interesting background.
"The Shrinky Dink solution"
September 9, 2009 by Erin Knapp
Toys don't usually inspire high-tech innovation, but Michelle Khine's childhood favorite did just that.
The UC Irvine assistant professor in biomedical engineering drew upon the hours she spent playing with Shrinky Dinks — thin plastic sheets that can be colored with paint or ink and then shrunk with heat — to solve a problem in her research on how chemical cues affect cell activity.
The work earned Khine a spot on Technology Review's 2009 TR35, an annual list of 35 innovators under 35 in business and technology worldwide. Technology Review is published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
"They say desperation is the mother of all invention, but I also have to credit my actual mother," Khine says. "When I was 6 years old, she introduced me to what became my lifelong No. 1 toy: Shrinky Dinks."
After earning her doctorate, Khine joined the founding faculty at UC Merced in 2006. The fledgling campus didn't have the sophisticated lab equipment of her grad school days, so Khine had to find a way to create fluid channels thinner than a human hair on the biochips she employed in her research. She wondered if she could pattern the pathways on a Shrinky Dink sheet with her desktop laser printer and then miniaturize them in a toaster oven.
It worked. As the plastic shrank, the ink particles on its surface clumped together and formed tiny ridges. After removing it from the oven, Khine applied a flexible polymer called PDMS to the cooling sheet. The ink ridges created channels in the PDMS, and when Khine peeled the polymer off the Shrinky Dink mold, she had a completed microfluidic device.
The use of PDMS to construct miniscule features on wafers is called soft lithography, and it typically involves several days of turnaround time and considerable infrastructure, operating expenses (such as for a clean room) and equipment.
With the Shrinky Dink method, Khine says, researchers can easily and cheaply design and develop custom microfluidic chips within minutes. "And all they'll need is a laser printer and a toaster oven," she says.
This simplified fabrication process could revolutionize the way engineers conduct experiments and manufacture products, Khine believes, and could be used in stem cell research, to create cardiac patches for heart attack sufferers and to significantly improve the detection sensitivity of bioassays, which are utilized in pharmaceutical development and point-of-care diagnostics.
In fact, Khine's toy-inspired innovation led to the first start-up company at UC Merced, Shrink Nanotechnologies Inc., exclusive licensee of her patent-pending advances.
Khine continues to use Shrinky Dink-style fabrication at UCI, and she encourages other young engineers to approach their research creatively.
"My advice?" she says. "Be true to your inner child. Don't work - play! If you love what you do, you'll do great things."

Barchart's TA opinion is holding firm, unchanged at 64% BUY
But the Upside Resistance has moved up again, now at 0.146
http://www.barchart.com/opinions/stocks/INKN
Although the PPS trading range hasn't changed much, the upside resistance has been creeping up slowly all week long.
The 50-day MA (moving average) trend line has assumed a slight upward slope, suggesting the bottom has been made. And we're trading about 30% above that average.
I just hope we can get back to the 200-day MA, up at 0.491, before year end.

lakes, I don't recall how many times I've answered questions like yours.
And I don't appreciate the little barb you inserted. You said absolutely nothing about Walmart. As far as I know it has NEVER been mentioned on THIS forum. So how am I supposed to know what's on your mind? But since Genstrip was mentioned in the filings you APPEAR TO BE wholely uninformed. My assumption, based on you post.
Rumors are rumors, wherever they surface.
I don't necessarily believe them, nor do I dis-believe them. I see no reason to accept it or reject it. Until it becomes a fact it has no real usefulness to me.
Until it is mentioned in the filings or an official PR, I have no position on the subject. I have plainly stated this in the past. That is the only way I can, or will, deal with it.
The "Walmart rumor" sounds reasonable. Walmart moves to dominate every market they are in. And so, if Genstrip is a good product then why would they NOT carry it? But I have no way of knowing if this tidbit is true or not. Who would know except the very highest level of Walmart management? I certainly wouldn't buy or sell shares based solely on a rumor.
But that's just my opinion... Good Luck!
VV
lakes, No, I haven't spoken to management on that particular issue.
But I definitely would not refer to the Genstrip contract as "alleged". It is basically common knowledge in the pharma distribution industry. I have seen it mentioned on several industry web sites.
And Yes, it is a "material event" and it has been mentioned in the company's recent 10Q filing issued on 08/18/2010. Like this:
"Our recent agreements for the exclusive distribution of the Genstrip is one such business opportunity. Management believes these efforts will generate sufficient cash flows from future operations to meet our obligations and working capital needs."
AND:
"In June 2010 the company executed a five year exclusive agreement with and among Shasta Technologies, LLC and Broadtree, Inc. for the exclusive distribution of this at-home diagnostic product. The product has been given the trade name of Genstrip."
AND:
"The company believes that the seasonal trends in calendar year 2010 will be further influenced by the launch of its new at-home diagnostic testing product, Genstrip, as sales of this new product will begin in October 2010."
And of course, all documents filed with the SEC are signed as truthful under penalty of perjury. So I accept the company's filings at face value, as the last and final word on what they are doing.
So, I suggest you do some Due Diligence and read the filings, since apparently, you haven't done so yet. Please start here:
http://knobias.10kwizard.com/filing.php?param=&ipage=7113958&DSEQ=1&SEQ=&SQDESC=SECTION_BODY&exp=
And you mention that you are "...wondering if ... just another internet message board rumor.". Whoa, Big Guy! In case you haven't noticed I am also posting on a forum behind an alias. You always need to exercise caution whenever reading content on any forum. That is why I have posted direct excerpts from the 10Q above so that they can be easily verified. Everything posted on a forum needs to be verified, or indicated as "opinion".
And as you point out, obviously there is a kind of disconnect between the share PPS and the near-term future prospects as we understand it. I am just as mystified as you are. I have no explanation for that, other than just prevailing market conditions. Speculative stocks, especially penny stocks, have been out of favor for quite some time. But now that the market has flipped into "rally mode" I have a strong feeling that this PPS disparity will change quickly, with more news and improved financials being reported. So just be patient.
And finally, I am NOT the "oracle of information" on InstaCare. But I certainly don't mind answering questions on this forum. I am just a shareholder. I have no inside track on this company, and I am certainly not here to try to convince anyone to buy this stock (or any stock). Investing in penny stocks is inherently risky. For vthe most part they are all small companies with limited resources, and situations can change in a day. So everyone should do their own Due Diligence for managing their investments. This is the key to survival in the penny stock market.
Having said all that, I firmly believe that this company and its management are truthful and have always been on the up and up with shareholders. When they say they are doing this or that, I have no reason to doubt it, because I have done ample DD since 2005. But if you personally have doubts then you probably need to do more research, or just find another stock you feel more comfortable with. Or better yet, pick up the phone and YOU call Keith Berman. I believe you will find him to be very friendly and forth coming with useful information. Good Luck!
All just my opinion...

Good Luck.
VV
wakl, Don't worry about the direction of every price tick.
It just isn't worth it. You will just worry yourself sick.
The volume has fallen off a bit from 3 days ago, but the PPS is holding up very well. It is obvious that the stock is under accumulation, since about mid-September.
Whoever was buying recently probably has all of the shares they wanted and is done for now. But there will be another round of buying coming soon. The word hasn't really gotten out on this one yet. Just keep an eye on the forum boardmark number in the upper right corner, and watch it slowly increase.
The company is right on the verge of getting their product to market. I expect there will be a few PRs issued at that time, announcing early sales. Then we should see mention of the use of the product in various medical research trade pubs, etc. And then followed by an SEC filing that will expand the picture of the true situation.
Meanwhile, just be patient a while longer. But I sincerely hope you didn't put your rent money in here. This may take a while to fully develop.

Easy way to verify is to call Transfer Agent and get the O/S count.
Shares the insiders issue to themselves come from corporate treasury. When they file a Form4, technically, those shares can then be sold. So if they are sold into the market the O/S goes up. You can call the T/A today or wait for the count in the next filing.
The way I am looking at this today is that the 10K thru June30 didn't help the stock. So we are going to have to wait on the 3rd qtr 10Q. Should be coming in the next few weeks, unless they're late again.
