Thanks Matt.
My underlying question is that does the stock actually have to close above the strike, in order for my shares to get pulled (if exercised)........or can it simply just trade above the strike on any given day?
Wow! $200K??? I'm kicking myself for ponying up $20K. Down over $6K.
Just a quick question:
If I write a call with a $25 strike that expires in one month, and tomorrow it trades at $27 all day long, but closes below $25.
Will I be assigned (if the buyer decides to excercise it).....or must the stock actually close above the strike price?
selling puts?
....yes you're right. sorry i got them confused .
Thanks everyone. I'm slowly getting a good grasp of options. The last time I traded them ever was back when POZN was waiting for FDA approval and I bought quite a few near term calls.
Thanks.
Thanks for helping me understand.
Thanks for clarifying. So Facebook's JUNE2 12 option epires on June 8th?
Thanks.
Where will it be held? Link?
Thanks for helping me. What I fail to understand is why there are 2 option chains for June (Facebook):
JUNE2 12 (ending in 5 days)
JUNE 12 (ending in 12 days)
I thought all options are to expire the 3rd Friday of every month.
Actually I'm super confused. I have 500 shares of FB and I am trying to see if I can offset my losses. At the moment, I'm down 30%.
So since I have the shares, I'm trying to see if I can benefit using options.
What about the JULY $45 PUT ?
If I buy a PUT with a STRIKE that is currently above the traded price of the stock, can I then immediately sell the contract?
I would be happy to attend the class
lol. :)
I'm thinking about the $45 June or July puts. Any ideas?
Any loss (even a few hundred) is still a loss. I'm not happy at the moment. ATM, I'm researching which PUT to either buy to sell.
I own 500 shares. I'm thinking about buying some options to offset my loss.
JUN45PUTS
its not that bad
why oracle?
when now?
nice! only deep pockets can trade like that. 12 cents aint gonna fetch me much.....unless its a large order
no dips for a while
Should I suck it up and sell everything?
We might close at $29.33
did u get my PM?
Who said this will never touch $28 ever again?
I'm going to PM you
You can be one more that one class action. I'm on both.....unless there is 3rd one i don't know about
I know of two class actions......which i am a part of.
I bought this POS on IPO day. I am still holding. However, I don't know how much longer I sustain the hemorraging. Talk about a bloodbath.
What happened? You sold at a loss?
Am the only one holding on?
I'm down $6500 from IPO day. I wish I could've sold.....but may not be worth it now.
Still holding my shares. I now wish I sold a week ago.
Anyone still holding from IPO day?
If I sold last week.....I would still be down $3K
I need to join the lawsuit
I am down $5K since IPO day
