$5 a share and I'll do some philanthropy too! C'mon SEO, charity starts at home!
Hey Fishdog, isn't Westheimer a swanky area of Houston? I stayed at the Omni Westheimer once; quite nice...
I thought that markets were composed of buyers and sellers? Not just sellers. If I can sell without a buyer, I'm selling my house today for 1 trillion dollars.
A. Potomac River
B. Niger Delta
C. Yellow River
D. None of the above
OT- Decatur, Texas here. Was in the Panhandle yesterday - low of 22 after 81 degree high the day before. You gotta love the weather down here!
Thx Mark! Was just thinking that these timelines all appear to be set in jello. As easily as rigs seem to be beyond reach, they could just as well fall into our lap. Off to San Diego. J
looking back, it appears it was from 12/2006. Follow the thread between NDT and Rambus.
If I heard correctly, the gentleman stated that Anadarko is to drill the "tertiary" play in the JDZ in 2007 and 2008. Great find. I was sharing with a friend the other day that we've not heard from Anadarko and Sinopec - they've been curiuosly silent. Thanks for posting this Rambus.
BB: great post! I especially appreciated your thinking with the "assume at .30 cents we're halted. A "consortium of companies forming a new publicly held entity" is put to action, and ERHC shareholders are allowed to sell their shares of ERHC for a "about" $6 deal OR....OR....they can enlist 10 of their ERHC shares for one share of the newly formed company. This would put the start up price of the newly formed company at $60 if a 10:1 is put into play."
Would make for a nice XMAS en Tejas!
Best to you!
J
I don't intend to be dramatic here, but I was just over on Yahoo Finance and pulled up the quote page. When I clicked on the "major holder", insider roster, sec filings, and income statements, it came up blank. Probably means nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?
OT: Walldog, great website!!! Ours is www.oflag64.org and I can't believe how effective it's been in locating survivors and family members who want to get more info or come to reunions.
P.S. BOL to you and all the ERHE Mohicans on IHUB...
OT - Thanks Walldog... I'm not a veteran, but I just hosted a reunion for my late grandfather's prision camp in WWII (OFLAG 64). We had a great time and about 20 of the survivors turned out. One 95 yr old came cross country by himself. These fellas went through a lot for our freedom and hosting them was one of the highlights of my 37 years. I appreciate them and you too for your service. If you were in the 82nd Airborne, one of our guys commanded that division in Vietnam. Gen. Bolling.
Interesting pose from SFREED on EF... em
Balance - Don't forget, "rope-a-dope" started in that part of the world and Offor's shares currently sit at .22 just like ours...
Has anyone heard if ERHC plans to name a new COB?
If somethin' weren't up, why step down? His stepping down hasn't made a material difference yet so far as I can tell... More to it than meets the eye IMO.
Let me translate for the non-Okies... Necked = naked
Indeed. I can only hang on another 22 years or so, then I'm gonna have to make a decision on this one.
A capital idea! Was thinking the same!!
BB - Thanks for your consistent willingness to post your DD despite the protests of the nattering naybobs of discontent. I appreciate it! It's always easier to throw rocks at people's ideas than to put forth a theory which, right or wrong, at least sparks some thought-provoking dialogue. Happy Labor Day! J
207k here. em
Something that I find peculiar about the cc yesterday is that Nicolae and Ledbetter were both not participating. SO, okay to have the company secretary on the call but not to have the CEO (acting) and essentially the COO not participate seems a bit odd. Most companies would view their first-ever investor conference call as an major event worthy of at least a cameo by the CEO and the head of operations. There is more here than meets the eye (IMO and purely speculating).
For that matter, couldn't he have conferenced in from wherever he is?
My take...
Once again the company does what they say they're gonna do; nothing more, nothing less. (and not much I might add!)
Disappointing? Sure. I would've loved them to surprise us with a buy-in announcement but I can't say that I'm surprised.
The justice in it all is that their (mgmt's) shares are as depressed as ours.
be patient, the moderator may not have shown up to open the conference up. Try again just before 8 (I spend way too much time on conf calls at work!)
This reminds me of that movie Seabiscuit - people excitedly gathered around their console radios all over the country for the big race; or in our case gathered around their computers and speakerphones waiting with baited breath for the conf call!
Many here have been conditioned to handle anything that this call can dish out; good, bad or indifferent. We all deserve some good news. Best to all with good intentions!
2+ and I'm outta here. One in the hand, two in the bush-kinda thing with me... I hope to taking my wife to the best restaurant in Dallas and telling her the crazy story of my investment in ERHC Energy since the beginning of '05. She'll either want to get a divorce or a hotel room! (kidding)
"A new broom sweeps clean". A favorite expression of mine.
Sort of OT, but recall that my baby girl was born last August and I was posting from the delivery room. Sure would be nice to celebrate her 1st B-Day with some great ERHC news...
This post keeps coming to mind...

Or a matter of greasing the right palms IMO.
OT: exceo, my 7th anniversary is tomorrow. A handshake across the miles to you on 30 years. J
OT: After I was married about three years, I figured out who was calling the shots at my house... My mother-in-law. ;)
Interested in some opinions on the following...
If there were bad news, would not the company have announced a conference call right away instead of almost a month out?
What is the benefit to the company of the gap of time between the announcement of the conference call and the actual call? Shake out weak hands so a new partner could scoop up shares at a low price (although volume seems like it would be higher if this were the case)? Stick it to the traders?
Maybe it's simply what they said in the press release? It'd be interesting to set up a poll; big announcement, no big announcement. In trouble, in the clear...
JDubs
maybe one of those accidentally on purpose things... imo
Woudlnt that be something! Following along with that, the NYT surely wouldn't pay attention to ERHC unless we had seriously gotten in someone's shorts!
Hope this is a sign that the 2-minute game has begun by big oil. Can't help but ask, "Why now?". Best of luck to all!
You got dat right!
If, hypothetically, a buyer offered a share swap, is EO really selling anything (other than control?).
