It looks like WMIH is organically shifting UP to $2, would love to see more news to exponentially accelerate PPS and compress the time frame

I think r/s was already baked into the market. We had pretty good move today, not a drop at end of the day, makes me think that r/s is non event. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

A stock split fundamentally does not affect the value of a position. One would have to take into consideration the stock price after split.

If WMIH after split surges because it's fundamentally strong, and they stated that they want to attract more institutional investors , volume thus moving the price up, then in this situation a short would be in trouble.
Therefore, taking the above and other information that they have provided us, I would venture to say that covering the short before r/s is more sound of an approach.

$2pps current implied price as was posted on board recently, which if sitting at $2 at time r/s then post giving $24, thus being a %33 gain for duration of 3 months from before merge for NSM, not bad for not doing anything. just my thoughts

I would say probably not. However, its mostly likely 2 months out and alot can happen in between for example short covering before r/s, raising pps.

I've also seen Cos decide to cancel r/s and it having tremendous upward impact, unlikely to happen here imo.

Exactly, they should announce share buyback, don't see anyone talking about this except you. This would move the price up, I've see it happen.

I'm curious what everyone thinks on this. Such a large % electing shares could potentially mean that they value them higher than at current levels.
