Geeezzzz - ????????????
Thre's a 0.0001 of a penny difference between the bid and the ask... and neither can compromise???
.
Blessed are those who bought... bought... and bought yesterday for they are in the money today.
Bless you all, and may it repeat tomorrow... and tomorrow... and tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oooohhhhhpppssss!!!
I know it happened because I owned shares... It happened because I owned the stock at that time.
I just went into my Quicken file and found the transactions... my mistake...
I bought it for $3.50 a share in June of 1999 - wow that's a while ago... I was off by a decade.
I'm fairly sure it went down to $1.50 ??? before tender offer.
I sold a batch at $10.96 at 2/4/2000 and I tendered the rest for $10.50 on 5/23/2000.
Oh yea... I also have learning curve on ignore!!!

Also...
As far as nobody pays more than twice the going price... BULLSHIT... I forget the companies involved but it was shared here about a year ago??? Small biotech going for ~ $3.50 a share PRed a buyout from BP in two steps... first offer was ~ $37.50 a share... 10x the market cap... and a few months later took over the whole company for ??? $77.50 a share.
Someone here brought it up to the board's attention... Is that member here??? I may be off on the dates and a small percentage off on the prices... but it did happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
I forgot exactly which other airlines were involved, or the exact figures... but about 12+ years ago, Air Canada was selling for about $1.50 a share, and a tender offer was made for $2.50 a share (I think it was United) BUT another airline offered $5.00 a share... which was countered by the original bidder at $7.50 a share.
To make a long story short... I wound up HAPPILY tendering my shares for $11.25???
I would love a tender offer by Merk... Bristol Meyer... to start at $10 a share, we would then find the TRUE VALUE of DC-Vax... I would HAPPILY tender my shares for $30 a share.

Flip... Take your meds... See you monday, after partnership PR.

I’m sorry to inform you that ‘Dakota’ Fred Hurt, the reality TV star and veteran gold miner who appeared in Discovery’s docuseries ‘Gold Rush: White Water, has died at the age of 80. He passed away on July 11, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with stage 4 brain cancer.
The news release shared little detail regarding his diagnosis, though it noted that "a range of options for possible treatment is being developed."
Doesn't say what type of brain cancer... but most likely GBM.
.
So... a whole day of upward movement mostly wiped out in the last 15 minutes... So frustrating!!!

Angelo: Will NWBO get FDA approval?... and WHEN???
AI: I’m sorry but I cannot predict the future. However, I can tell you that Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO) is a biotechnology company developing DCVax® personalized immune therapies for solid tumor cancers1. They have received approval from the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for the Company’s Pediatric Investigation Plan (PIP)2. They have also reported positive top-line results from Phase 3 trial of DCVax-L for glioblastoma.
Angelo: What the hech... LOL... Was worth a try!!!
.
Thank you George...
1. You're right... and 2. You're right.
1. AVC is insinuating , not nwbo.
2. I was going to shoot for a 100% profit... but figured a half Billion $ final lawsuit/settlement would be too pie in the sky for most?/some? here.

Davis didn’t waste any time with his $11.5 billion acquisition of Acceleron in 2021... Led by pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) candidate sotatercept, which is on track for approval this year and carries peak sales potential of $2 billion.
So... if Merk paid $11.5 billion for a drug with sales potential of $2 billion... What should they be willing to pay for NWBO which has a far greater potential???

Big Pharmas finally strike with GSK, Merck acquisitions, signaling accelerating pace of M&A
Merck & Co. is paying $10.8 billion to buy Prometheus Biosciences
Prometheus will give Merck more of a presence in immunology with PRA023, an anti-TL1A monoclonal antibody for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. The therapy is several years away from commercialization, Moody’s noted, with phase 3 trials in those indications beginning this year. Should PRA023 be successful, Merck could gain some protection from an over-reliance on Keytruda, which will begin to see market exclusivity erode in 2028.
Merck & Co. is paying $10.8 billion for a phase 3 drug??? What will it pay for an approved drug???

.
Is this possible???
NWBO in a private deal sells to Merck... or whoever big Pharma is interested... 500 million shares at $2.00 per share for a total of $1 Billion... raising NWBO outstanding shares to 1.7 Billion.
Merck then offers $40 Billion for the entire NWBO enterprise... or $40 Billion divided by 1.7 Billion OS = $23.52 per share.
Merck's 500 million shares are now worth $11.76 Billion + the $1 Billion in the coffer it gets back,
for a total cost of $27.24 Billion to Merck.
A WIN WIN WIN situation... NO???
p.s. the price for the 500 million share can vary to perhaps $5.00 or more after some meaningful positive news from NWBO... it will not change the concept much.

ROFLMFAO
Thanks for the laugh flipper.
.
According to A. Fraudstein...
Endo launches new DTC campaign to set men straight on Peyronie's disease
ROFLMFAO... Off topic but, I think that headline is so damn clever... I had to share it.
.
Drug: Sotatercept
Company: Merck
Used for: Pulmonary arterial hypertension
Est. 2028 sales: $1 billion
The pièce de resistance of Merck’s $11.5 billion deal to acquire Acceleron in 2021 was sotatercept, which could finally be the disease-modifying breakthrough needed in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
So... If Merck is willing to pay $11.5 Billion for a drug with $1 billion sales estimate 5 years from now...
How much should they be willing to pay for a platform that could/would deliver several times that in 5 years???
