When New York city legalized medical marijuana but no burning it that created a huge potential market for this product, sales will continue to rise and I hope they forego the R/S; I didn’t even know they were considering it, my mistake. But hey, increased sales can solve a lot of problems.
I understand that is a common suspicion and could be a reality. I have to believe they would make it big if they could and they try at least a little. If their process is more efficient than Halliburton’s someone’s going to take notice; I was hoping it would be T.Boone and it still might. I bought shares when they changed their focus from Green energy to water cleanup; that’s a more immediate market. I spent as much as I can accept to lose, with a little left over for the circus you mentioned; if it comes to that.
I really like the idea, it seems you know a lot about this company; thanks for replying.
So they're making money and the stock goes nowhere; what gives?
This product is going to be embraced in a big way; I don't know when but it seems inevitable.
How did Riggs conversation with T. Boone go? I thought that would create a buzz. I hope Haliburton buys the company.
I believe that might have been a little premature, AREDAY with T. Boone Pickens should definitely help the PPS. only 3 days away and it could prove very significant.
That came out in the seventies and is still going strong, I have some in my ‘fridge right now. If T. Boone likes what he sees on the 12th and invests (or has Halliburton buy out right) well, you can imagine. This company has a real good chance to make it, I don’t understand why more people aren’t paying attention.
I’ve visited other message boards where no one posts, it’s easy to just hit next. There’s no news from the company and many people responded to the posts by considering the motives of the person’s position on LQMT even if the prognosticating was full of prevarications. The optional conversation at the time was the viability of (exploding) LQMT clackers. With no wind in our sales from Liquidmetal Technologies Inc. we are a ship of fools. Are we not Starbuck, Stubb and Flask chasing the white whale? Guess who’s Ahab? In between news it’s good to keep the board active. While we wait.
When they started focusing on Frac water clean up I thought for sure they would gain some traction. It seems to me to be a strong product. The EPA can only get more stringent on regulations and clean water is a growing concern all over the world. I was ho hum on the biofuel aspect but applying this technology toward clean water is something everyone should embrace. All these penny stock companies are broke, I can’t see how this one doesn’t take off. I felt so strongly about it I increased my position,,, bye bye money (ugh). I still believe they will sell many EWS’s. With a name like Riggs Eckelberry it has to be good!
Any thoughts on why OOIL isn’t maintaining their value?
Maybe I just miss the board. Thinking of buying buy into LiquidMetal again I visit the web site and nothing has changed. I don’t believe they ever got their Emotion machine, June turned into August at best (Watts called that one too). I come here and the most optimistic of the posters unloaded significant shares; too much fatigue apparently. Nothing to get excited about here. Thank you Mister Watts, you’ve been correct an astonishing amount of the time. May the Gorgol prophesy come true.
Sincerely,
Spinkane
Hang Ten Watts! (ten toes over the board while surfing) The tsunami I predicted wasn’t high enough to get her panties wet. (A wave above thigh high). No double entendre intended. You know I was smiling when I saw that prediction. This board is the best thing about Liquidmetal. I’ll buy at .22 but it’s holding its own. I hope there is a tsunami, with or without me; Sincerely.
Hi Everybody!
Thank you Mister Watts, you are very good at this and Gorgol will be correct about August. Thanks guys, I wish you the best.
Sincerely,
Spinkane
I bailed at .284, probably won’t be checking in as much and I’ll miss all your posts. If Watts is right I should be back in a couple, few weeks! If it takes off without me I’ll be happy for you guys.
Sincerely,
Spinkane
Bravo Mister Watts “This is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about” but you take care of that. From “The good times are killing me.” to
“Well, a fake Jamaican took every last dime with that scam
It was worth it just to learn from sleight of hand
Bad news comes don't you worry even when it lands
Good news will work its way to all them plans
We both got fired on exactly the same day
Well we'll float on good news is on the way
And we'll all float on OK”
That may be the most positive post I’ve read by you. I mention this as I view you as a pragmatist and if a pragmatist is optimistic that is a very good sign indeed. You attract a lot of negative comments but doesn’t every good umpire? Your gut feeling is based on experience and you consistently “call em the way you see em” I’m not patronizing you but stating you are very consistent and LM has been a very frustrating stock up until this month, so when you recognize something about LM it is probably correct; the record will back me up. Love him or hate him, when Watts speaks, people listen. thanks for being there.
The PPS has been moving in a positive direction for over a month, a body in motion tends to stay in motion. New news should be good news and my guess has been it’ll be in June; I hope I’m right. Have Fun!
You’re getting good at this, it held .25 and then some; nice.
We lost Casey Kasem this month, his famous quote fits this board perfectly “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars” There’s no escaping we need The Demo center, a manufacturer and contracts before we can rise to new heights. With all the positive signs the value of this stock should be .30’s or even .40’s is reasonable considering risk/reward. RIP Casey.
Very Cool
I’m still waiting since you and Sandy increased; I don’t mind if you are correct. There's nothing wrong with a positive trend though.
I’d agree 100% if we had a space program, maybe it’s in the midst.
Cook seems a little wishy washy to me but if he leaves Ivy alone to create something magical that would describe Liquidmetal; mercury rising?
When you put it all together like that…dare I say it… We are definitely in the midst! I agree things are heading in the right direction but not there yet. It’s getting closer! Thanks
Assuming they land some contracts can royalties alone bring them into the black in any reasonable amount of time?
I could understand if they had many products in the market, collecting royalties from multiple sources could make them a lucrative company but they are small and need revenue wherever they can get it.
I agree it’s all mute until the demo center is complete; did you suggest they were getting two machines?
I hope you are correct about Kinetics. After reading all the posts by people who have been at this a long time and their DD I’ll refrain from “guessing LM knows what they are doing.” So, basically they couldn’t fill an order even one was placed, as of right now. Come on demo center!
As Research and Development continues around the world Liquidmetal will be considered as a solution more frequently. There will be an application where liquidmetal would be the perfect solution for the problem or Apple utilizes the metal and other companies consider it as a viable alternative. If the quantity required is large liquidmetal parts will be cheaper; large quantities mean large orders. Liquidmetal should seriously consider manufacturing to fill orders so they can have a revenue stream. What’s the reason they aren’t poised to produce parts? I don’t understand it.
“Anyone on this board that broadcasts anything related to a US defense industry proposal, contract, or even at thought about a thought is full of nonsense.”
That sentence is certainly nonsensical.
Everything I noted is publicly available through an internet search; which I verified before I posted it. Unfortunately the US cut the budget on our most advanced Fighter but more than a few other countries are eager to purchase them, but they can’t. I commend you on your patriotism.
Did you come across any information on the picture of their e machine on the web site?
I work on LM’s (Lockheed Martin) Bomb release unit for the F22 Raptor, which is misleading as it ejects a 2KLB store (JDAM) in milliseconds. To remain stealth as long as possible the cycle time from doors open to close is less than 2 seconds. The BRU uses a scissor configuration to achieve the spec., the doors close while the BRU is still extended; there is room for the door to close once the store is released. Why I mention it, the parts that absorb the stress are titanium tapered rods about 1 ½ “ thick in the center. The force is so great they bend more than you would think possible. Liquidmetal would be a perfect replacement if only they could meet the dimensions, about 18” long. There are numerous high stress parts in war fighters where Liquidmetal would be the perfect material for the application, unfortunately size matters. Inevitably these hurdles will be overcome.
Like it or not the PPS goes up and down based mostly on emotion, this seems to infuriate some people because there’s more certainty when facts move the PPS, yet up and down it goes. Behind the PPS is a company with a product, inevitably the huge swings will be based on the success of that. I have a “feeling” there will be a breakthrough before a bankruptcy. Even “news” can be spun to sound good or bad. Emotion plays a bigger part in the day to day PPS than many people are “comfortable” with. I take it seriously when deciding on a trade; it’s a big part of the equation; while we wait for revenue or not.
Contracts are what we are waiting for, many believe August will be the break through, I think it might be sooner.
There is a momentum of positive news which would suggest a significant sale would be next. Therefore we are in the midst (ugh). Is this technology ready to be utilized by business? That’s up to the potential customer. I am interested in Mr. Watts opinion on whether the current positive momentum is unprecedented or he has seen this before?
Thanks in advance.
Having engineers flying out to RSM to develop prototypes is a great idea. Getting all the guys around a table is a great way to develop relationships and ensure the product meets the customers requirements, sounds like a Hauck development. Once the customer loves the prototype it’s hard to believe the customer won’t ask for a quantity to be manufactured right then and there at RSM. Follow on contracts of more significant quantities can be outsourced from LM to Kinetics for example with LM making a retail profit. They are definitely “in the midst.”
In the impractical application department:
How about some Liquidmetal teeth and we eat apple for lunch? Now with added beryllium to kill bacteria! Smile and have a liquidmetal day. Oh, bite your tounge.
How about this November, when the progressives lose the senate? Then we’ll be cooking with Liquidmetal fire.
At the Liquidmetal website go to process, choose molding, boom there is liquidmetal’s e-motion 100. No redirecting to other websites necessary.
http://liquidmetal.com/?s=one+of+our+machines
I could only find it by typing in “one of our machines” in the search window, I stumbled on it last week, but couldn’t find it this morning until I did a search. The caption under the picture says “One of our automated Liquidmetal Injection Molding machines (click to enlarge)” I panicked there for a minute, it’s hard to find. Now I’m late for work. Thanks for being there, Sincerely.
Because your analysis doesn’t generate enough revenue to explode the price of the watered down shares (and you are rarely far off the mark) My prayer is LM retails parts to customers, along with augmenting sales with their emotion machine (I love calling it that. I can identify with it) coupled with your stated revenue stream from royalties the company can get out from under and ahead. P.S. why do they show THEIR emotion machine on the website? Is it at RSM or was that in the midst?
Come on Hauck, we’re rooting for you; think Mariano Rivera! Have a Liquidmetal day. :)
Cool, I wasn’t aware of that type of welding, it’s been tried with some success on BMG.
